Reviews of Mambo Play Centre Cardiff

HUGE soft play area where you could spend all day! Lovely and clean to. The arcade area is an added bonus. The baby area looked great but we didn't use it. It's quite expensive but if you get all day there then it's worth it, we was only allowed 2hrs 👎🏻
We went in half term and got there for 10.15am and there was a bit of a queue. When we left at 12pm the queue was around the car park! No way would I have queued in that! I'd advise to go early to ensure a shorter queue.
We only had a hot drink and snack so can't comment on the food.
Staff were polite and helpful to 👍🏻

Plenty of things for the kids to do, lots of different interactive areas to build on their confidence & wear off some energy from a good a selectionof climbing, crawling, sliding & swinging on offer. Very well designed, in terms of seating, there seemed to be ample available, even a quieter zone with about 30 extra table & chairs up on a second floor surrounded by glass so you can still watch the kids play with only one play area you can access on this level. Probably not ideal for anyone considered disabled or with limited mobility as its up 2 flights of stairs & I didn't see a lift, but there might have been one. The rest of the seating it is on ground level & spread out pretty much everywhere but plenty of room to manoeuvre around them. Good security with gates activated by staff only to get in & out of the indoor play area & CCTV. There's an arcade which isn't cheap, and the food & drink is very overpriced. Entry fee for family of 4 (kids 2 & 4 yrs) £19.80 with an in-house rule that says you're not to consume any food or drink from outside Mambos. But it fast becomes a rather expensive day out but they do offer play & eat for kids at certain times.

We had my daughter's 4th birthday party in Mambo on Friday and the staff were amazing. They were so friendly and helpful and everything was really well organised. All of the team members were really great, especially the girl responsible for the party room. Nothing was too much trouble. The party room is a great space and had a nice calming atmosphere after all the running around. We opted for the hot buffet and there was a really nice selection of food with some fruit/veg platters too. I think every last bit was eaten and all the children were happy with the food...which is a miracle in itself! I will definitely use them again for parties and would absolutely recommend them!

If it's a large soft play you're after then it's got it in spades. Pretty clean, nice large area for tots and bigger for the rest. Plenty to explore. Cafe looked good, if standard pricey affair. Parking is limited so be prepared to walk from the street during busy periods.

Took my nearly 2 year old and she absolutely loved it. They have a lovely baby/toddler area with lots for them to do.

Recently took my two little nieces here whilst they were visiting from Cambridge. Both absolutely loved it and didn't want to leave. The 3 year old loved running around the big kid area and going down the slides. The cars was her particular favourite. The fact that they have a separate area for babies and toddlers was a bonus as it meant the 1 year old could have just as much fun. The baby sensory area was certainly her favourite. We spent a good few hours there and had food which was lovely and not overly priced. What was good to see was the numerous times we saw members of staff tidying and vaccuming the area. Highly recommend
C. K.
The boy loved it, very busy very big very loud a great way to tire the little ones. Really good facilities.
R. H.
Took my children here recently and they loved it. Their new baby and toddler area is fantastic. Brilliant for young babies and plenty to do for the older children aswell. Staff are friendly, the place was very clean and tidy and it was just an overall lovely experience. Definitely recommend.
K. R.
Went for my sons 7th birthday. Never been before. It was fantastic, staff not keeping eye on older kids going in the baby/toddler area though. Was quiet when we got there but busier when we left at 1pm. Fab day out. Bit pricey on food too but good day
J. R.
My 3 children absolutely lived it. Brilliant place one of the biggest soft play centres I have visited lots to do and the arcade is an added bonus. It has 3 separate area's for toddlers babies and older children and the food is lovely staff are very friendly and polite would highly recommend.
L. F.
Mambo has plenty to keep kids of all ages entertained for hours. The main play area is huge and there is a great toddler section and baby sensory area too for the little ones. Staff are friendly and helpful. The food is good too. My girls did not want to leave.

What a place !! My little boy was blown away! He played on the quad bikes then run about in the huge soft play area! To top it off he had a little game of football a couple of other lads he just met. Staff where super friendly, coffee was great and my Son approves of the slushie ! The food arrived very quickly and didn’t last long !! 1st visit can’t wait to take him back !

A really nice, clean and big soft play area.
Costa coffee available, food options are as you would expect from such a venue: toast, chips, sausage, nuggets etc. so it might be worth bringing sth with you.
J. P.
Mambo has activities for lots of different age groups - soft place for baby, toddler and older all separate for kids fun at the right ages. Reasonably priced and tasty food and drink compared to other kids places. Arcade as well. This place will keep kids entertained for hours and plenty of space for adults to observe and supervise whilst also relaxing.
I. S.
Amazing place. One of the best soft play children spaces I have ever been. There is enough space for the parents to sit and have coffee or snack while their children are playing around. The arcade space is great too.
K. D. B.
£13 for one adult and one child.. not a good start but it is half term and a big place.
Play areas are great. Arcade is nice but not what kids need after already paying a lot to enter..
Business is very greedy with entrance fee charging adults and newborns
.the Cafe - slush puppies £3 for a small cup, basic food and pricey, £9 for a cheeseburger, kids meals don't even come with a drink, £3 for sandwiches which are poor quality ,.Costa coffee with costalot prices ...
L. B.
Nice place, clean and tidy. Helpful staff. Busy as it was school holidays but not so busy that you felt suffocated. Expensive but you can see where they've spent the money. Could easily spend all day there (limited to two hours at busy times, which is fair enough)
Only complaint was children (clearly older than three) climbing over gates and sneaking into the baby area and running riot around the toddler section. Intimidating for younger visitors and those who have just started crawling/walking. Although this is more the fault of parents not keeping a closer eye on their kids than the play centre or their staff.
Y. H.
We had our sons 1st birthday party there yesterday!
Maisie went above on beyond to makesure his day and everyone elses was perfect. She was so hard working and deserves recognition as do all the staff members who went the extra mile for us.
I would definitely recommend this venue as they will not disappoint, the facilities are clean with a massive range of activities for all ages.
Thank you once again to all the staff.
J. R.
The place is really nice. Great build, fun for the kids. Staff could be improved. Most were nice. Others wouldn't be so customer attentive. Overall great.
S. A.
This is the biggest and greatest variety of soft play I have ever seen. A lovely cafe, with a arcade. Warning that kids don't play in soft play but spend all their time in arcade. This is not so ideal. Baby sensory area and a below 3 area. Great place
W. (.
Best soft play centre in Wales. Staff are very friendly, very clean and very well priced. SO much for the kids to do ! Well worth a visit and 100% recommended !!
K. C.
A great place for kids to have some fun whilst being in a very safe setting. The cafe is good with nice options for food and the play areas are secure with coded entry to stop kids wandering off.
*Parents please do not bring hot drinks into the play areas*
V. F.
Great place for children of all age. Bit expensive but worths the money. The area for baby and toddler has a gate and tables with chair. You can leave your children playing and relax. Highly recommended!
W. B.
Excellent place to take your children. Lovely facilities, very clean, well set out for all ages. We had a great time.
N. R.
Very good overall
The pricing is controversial however I have yet to find a bigger play area in South Wales so you could argue you are getting the best for your money
The food is decent and the place is well run
It’s not somewhere I’d go weekly but is definitely worth the odd visit
L. O.
Really clean, good fun all the kids had at Travis birthday even the bambino had fun xx
C. S.
Superb time had by all. Gigantic indoor play space which kept the kids entertained for hours. Would highly recommend to other parents
J. J.
A great place for the kids, it's big and it's clean, the only downfalls are the prices for entry and the food, and also the games machines, which of course the kids are going to pester the parents for money, other than that it's a great place for a treat but not for a regular visit
L. M.
Came on Sunday it was absolutely brilliant. Kids had so much fun I barely seen them for 2 hours. Nice to see so many smiling faces during these gloomy times.
D. J.
The best soft play, play center ever. Stayed most of the day. Kids were playing in the largest play kit I've ever seen. And I've seen a lot. Will return .
A. B.
It's a lovely play ground for children. It's big and beautiful place to take your children to. My children love it!
R. W.
Good place to make your kids active and have fun. But the price has skyrocketed after the reopening of COVID.
A. L.
Really good idea to have soft play in industrial estate. Spacious enough area to have everything in it: soft play with football play area, ball pit and boom cars; game centre; party area; cafe and nursery. Decent menu for soft play area with lots of choices on food and drink.
Avoid weekends. Too busy at weekends, got it and couldnt even guarantee a table and a go at each play area.
Have boom cars (need £1 coin) in the middle of soft play but there's nowhere to get changed except going back to queue at cafe till to get pound coins.
Hope there is better arrangement at cafe till. Too long a queue at cafe till and food (maybe just weekends); staff served customers first in the later part of the queue while there were people queuing in front (between the two tills) and not being served.
D. H.
Mambos has grown in size and they have added a load more play areas for the kids. If you want to lose you kids in a safe environment for a couple of hour this is the place to come. Food and Costa coffee served whilst the kids cause chaos. Also a good after school party deal if you want any celebrations here. Can get very busy at times.
S. B.
New baby area is amazing keep up the good work. Gracie loved it this time. Also appreciated it being warm this time when we arrived. Food was also really good for us, but I think you need to add some more baby food options.
J. V.
Biggest and best place around. Had our sons birthday here. Very impressed! Huge, clean and lots to do.
b. w.
amazing place to take the kids for the day, I was only in the toddler area, but it was completely secure as the only way in or out was through a gate locked with a security code so I could let my toddler run around without the fear of losing him, food Is amazing and quick to be served
G. S.
Nice big place for little one to explore. Staff constantly keeping place tidy. Cafe by Costa, bit pricey but to be expected. Think they charge £1.95 per adult now. Wasnt charged on previous visits.
K. L.
Bit pricey & more for older children than a two year old. Toddlers climbing frame but they like more hands on at this age. Have to say place was immaculate & well looked after. Spotless toilet & catering facilities.
J. W.
Only went in the baby and toddler area with our little ones but they thoroughly enjoyed. Normally they are shy and won't leave our side around people they don't know but not here, they were off and enjoying themselves. Locked gates are in place to ensure they don't wander off from the secure area. Also, food and drink is great so can't fault it.
L. G.
Great place to bring the kids apart from one thing that lets this place down is that there are NO RECYCLING FACILITIES AT ALL. Shame for all that plastic, tins, paper etc to all go in the run is on a daily. Would be 5 stars if this was resolved which it should be.
D. M.
Great centre for kids. Occupied our son for hours and was very clean.
The big downside is the toilets. No provision at all for children, which considering what the place is built for. No child height sinks, toilets, urinals or hand dryers. If the toilets had been smartly designed for this then it would be 5 stars.
A. Z.
Had to queue for a fair amount of time before you even got in. Its a big space with different areas, has a decent layout, and a small cafe also, however, it was just far too busy and manic.
J. F.
Very clean. Lots of children enjoying themselves. Fab area for babies. Lovely to go for a couple of hours
K. A.
A little pricey for the under 3's but a nice few hours of fun. Staff need to keep an eye on the bigger kids getting in the baby and toddler bit
R. B.
This used to be a solid 5 star Softplay. It's still very clean, good food and great facilities but since lock down they've moved in loads of arcade games making it a huge money spinner taking the focus away from having fun and playing on the actual Softplay climbing frames and running around burning their energy.
H. B.
We love it here. It’s affordable and spotlessly clean and unless some of these places the cafe is actually pretty good. This has become our main soft play hangout. My only gripe is that most of the arcade machines are broken or faulty and the peppa pig camper van constantly begs for money but what does one expect from an indoor play area I guess 🤣
R. H.
Excellent indoor play centre. Plenty of different things to do in there for all ages of children. It's clean and tidy with plenty of adequate seating areas. Reasonable price for the time we spent there. Also pre booking isn't required which was fab for last minute visits.
L. E.
The kids had a great time. Very secure in the baby area with pin codes to unlock the gates but you can never be too safe when it comes to our babies. Lots of fun areas of the soft play to explore. Plenty of seating. There was a queue stretched right around the building but was worth it.
v. J.
Kids enjoyed themselves with plenty of choice for them. Compared to other play centres in the area this one i found is very over priced with a burger at £8. Would not eat here.
R. G.
Lovely place for all accepted ages with an amazing special place for baby's and toddlers of all ages separate to the main area
S. M.
Fab place to visit, generally reasonably priced. Food is lovely but quite expensive for what you get. Clean and tidy. Avoid during half term as the prices double, time is limited and finding a seat is nearly impossible! Having said that, it’s a great place for all ages on a rainy day.
V. G.
Expensive enough for an afternoon of fun but great place and lots of things to tire your little one out on. Make sure to keep your eyes on them if they're small!
W. C.
Awesome place grandsons absolutely loved it, admission price is quite expensive though
J. P.
Great soft play, bit pricey to get in. Nice food choices too
J. S.
Great place for kids but loses some stars for putting an arcade in.
M. P.
This is probably the best 8ndoor play centre in South Wales. It's slightly more expensive but much better value for money. The soft play equipment is huge and has LOADS for the kids to do.
Equally as impressive is the food. Not cheap but certainly not expensive, well cooked and very filling.
I can't recommend this place enough2!!!!!
I. K.
The play area is good and quite big, however not alot for babies. They don't even have soft ballpit. Plenty of spaces to sit and enjoy coffee or food but they are generally really busy during the weekends.
L. J.
Love it here. Always clean and fun for children. They close for an hour every so often to do a full deep clean of the entire facility, multiple times a day. Think it's really high standards during this covid outbreak. It's reassuring. Definitely returning again. Kids loved it.
G. S.
What a place lol. All day you can really enjoy with your children. The food it's amazing to
K. W.
Very busy but staff were helpful and polite. My children enjoyed it there. Only a 2 hour limit which is understandable, but still more than enough time for the children to get around all of the soft play and arcade. Will be back again :)
I. T.
Lovely place. Clean, nice staff, good for money. Kids love it.
K. V.
Probably the best soft play I've been too, my toddler absolutely loved it and there is loads to do
J. S.
Very good my 4 year old has a great time there can run freely around as it very well controlled
S. J.
Safe secure indoor kids playground lots to do and the cafe serves plenty for everyone!
L. w.
Brilliant facilities, good location to access. Suitable for babies that are crawling upto young teens. Love the fact that you need codes to access the younger sections so it's harder for little escape artists to run off. Only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because they need to keep on top of cleaning a bit more and possibly have staff manning sections to avoid 'drama' and to keep an eye out for altercations (even between adults) and uncleancliness and to stop people accessing the play sections with food. When entering the toddler section, my child crawled through chips that had been trodden through the area so I cleaned the mess up myself but the amount of children running through the play sections with handfuls of food was unreal which not only causes food to be dragged through and dropped where the children are playing but could also be a risk for choking.
Other than that my children love playing here. Can become a bit pricey once you've paid for entry if the children also want to use the arcade section and bumper cars so come prepared.
G. J.
Really good place to take the kids, its massive and there's so much for them to do here. The food is pretty average but priced reasonably but I would say its slightly over priced for the entrance fee during the summer hols. But overall my kids had a great time and we will be visiting again in the future.
J. B.
Continuously adding new features, it's my 2 year old's favourite place on the planet!
N. B.
Great for children of all ages. Plenty of soft play and activities on site. Perfect for rainy days but can get very busy. Restrictions on times during peak time. Expensive, and they charge per adult.
C. A.
My 7 and 10 year olds love visiting here. The football pitch, playing run outs around all the slides and the 2p coin push for tokens and gifts.
We'll be back soon.
F. K.
Great place to take kids! The softplay is huge and there's loads of things for children to do as well as softplay. It's nice that there are separate areas for babies and toddlers too. Decent food choices too!
R.
Love this place, always cleaned and sanitised. Kids enjoy this place so much. It is always so busy. Waited for an hour in the que to get in. Nice toddler area too.
l. m.
Never fails to bring enjoyment to the little ones. Nice area for parents to relax or play with the little ones
j. t.
Brilliant for the kids, however cleaning let's the place down
L. R.
Very good but a tad expensive x kids had fun tho x
A. N.
We have been few times, very safe and clean, it looks like there are plenty of activities and mazes for older children but we only used the very young one's area which is understandably limited.
K.
Kids loved it, 2 hours play, as they don't let it get too crowded. Plenty of seating for adults ,Nice food
& Clean place .We did have to queue outside for half an hour due to the one in & one out as so busy school hols. staff were nice , professional and knowledgeable. Need pound coins for game machines. ,charging £3 extra per child in school holidays we thought was bad.so not a five star, score,
k. a.
Brilliant play centre suitable for all ages. Areas are all security coded and felt very safe. Lovely selection of food and drink in the cafe also.
I. L. T. '.
This place is HUGE and fairly brilliant. Even when packed, as it tends to be on wet weekends. There’s a large seating/dining area, a separate seating and play area (with locked gate) for toddlers and their handlers, and there’s an incredible amount to do. This includes a raised mini football court, a racing track with battery powered vehicles, and a vast sprawl of multi storey soft play ‘buildings’ to explore. Don’t go on a hangover.
P. D.
Fab soft play, we took our son 9, and our nieces 6 and 12. They all had a blast despite the age differences. Maybe a bit expensive.
m. a. i.
Best place for kids to play all day long!
J. C.
Brilliant, let the little one tire them selves out while i have a cup of coffee.
t. k.
Fantastic equipment and loads to do for kids! However there were no seats to sit down for the parents as it was so busy! Tables taken with bags and coats with multiple chairs not in use! The service for teas and coffees was slow and big queues, the staff were hard working and friendly but the service was under pressure!! Parking was no existent on the premises, had to park out on the road, fortunately my kids are bit older 5 and 8 so the walk was ok, but can imagine in rain it would be hard work!! Also found it expensive, £15 for 2!!! Anyhow we enjoyed all in all!!
T. B.
My 2 year old daughter loves it here
A. M.
Took granddaughter to play centre. Entrance fee included childs meal and she eat it all
Centre is spotlessly clean even the toilets.
Staff are constantly vacuuming and cleaning floors and dining area.
The best in the county 10/10 to marks
S. C.
Lovely place kept really clean.Everything catered for.
D. S.
Amazing equipment for the kids, great atmosphere too. It is very popular so there is a lack of seating space available for all customers, it ends up being pot luck on grabbing the next free space. All in all I would highly recommend this venue for a day out with the kids👌
z. k.
Great place for toddlers and kids.
I wish I knew this place earlier. My baby loved it. She played for hours and fall sleep immediately afterward!
You can get food and drinks both for yourself and kids. There are loads of places to seat. The playing area isvery safe. I didn't need to follow my toddler every second.
I definitely recommend this place, specially in rainy days. Will visit there weekly!
R. D.
My daughters love mambos we ask them where they would like to go an this is were we ended up. It's changed since the last time we came but still a good place for kids to come to burn off all that energy
R. H.
Overall an amazing facility for children and it's absolutely MASSIVE! My son loves coming here and is always tired when he leaves. Can get really busy at times so would avoid during peak hours but overall a great place to take the kids.
J. C.
A large, really open play centre, suitable for children from nursery age up to primary school. The food in the café is good and not too expensive. The staff are helpful and friendly. It's also nice and clean, staff are regularly clearing up and running cordless hoovers around. There's plenty for the kids to do, though a couple of things cost a little extra. It does get busy on rainy days, so make sure to get there nice and early, if that's your plan.
a. A.
Lovely place to take kids but it can become very very busy, and over crowded especially on weekends. They have lovely food but abhit pricey 8 pound odd each for a burger when uve already paid 8 per child to get in is abhit too pricey for a play centre. The staff are lovely and they have lots of play areas for toddlers, infants and older children and a game area. Lovely quads and spinner rides. The only issue with mambos really is it's lack of commitment to ensure the older children stay out of the infant and toddler areas as I attended there a few days ago and didn't feel like my child was fully safe with older children diving into the toddler ball pit. They have pin coded access to all areas but children are climbing over fences and literally diving in which leaves toddlers and infants and including their parents a little frustrated that their children aren't fully safe due to older children diving and full speed running throughout without care. I don't blame the children, at the end of day they are children they'll play. But a adult employee should be dedicated to baby and toddler zone to ensure their safety and maintaining it for the younger ages.
D. G.
Packed on weekends take your own drinks and snacks
L. T.
First visit today. The inside is very large, multiply levels catering for all ages. Onsite catering with tables. Nicely segregated ages so no shielding your children. Internal security to stop access to the younger play area, CCTV everywhere. Only two moans parking is limited, tables not cleaned quick enough and kids are sticky and not ask parents clean up. Staff were friendly and it was busy on a Sunday but didn't have to wait to long for services.
v. t.
For seven pounds per child this is not a bad play area for children. It's in an enclosed space with multiple activities to keep children occupied. Children can climb on nets, slide on slopes, use airgun to shoot fist size balls etc. There is a small cafe which is reasonably priced
K.
The best soft play centre in South Wales, the play areas for kids including babies and toddlers are well presented with lots to do. There are lots of tables for parents/guardians to sit and watch, tables are kept clean and tidy. There is a large car park with disabled spaces.
A. N.
Large, surprisingly clean feeling soft play centre compared to some we've visited in Cardiff. The streets around it were a little cluttered with parked cars which made it a little difficult to get to. Kids loved the place itself. Only issues were it was a little too easy for the kids to escape the toddler area, and there were some separate facilities you had to pay extra for that were closed so had to explain to the kids why they couldn't go on them...
D. T.
Great place for the kids
Staff are great
Food is ok, better than Other similar places in the area
Plenty of parking
Decent price
Toilets and baby change are clean.
It can be annoying when you are waiting for staff to stop serving food and give service on entry and exiting the building. Similar places have dedicated reception that's separate from the food area.
R. F.
Pretty big soft play! Looks daunting regardless of age when you first go in, especially on a weekend when it resembles the scene from toy story 3 where the toddlers are going mental on the toys. Nice place though, very safe (although I didn’t know the soft play etiquette at the time and almost let a child put into the car park due to my British manners) and the little one always has a good time ^-^
N. B.
Great fun for the grand children.
N. S.
Amazing place, disappointing they're added an arcade to the place.
R. D.
Great place to take the kids 😁 different sections for babies, toddlers and older kids!
A. K.
My favorite place to take kids on wet days
J. D.
Excellent value for money. The place is huge
C. G.
Great place for the kiddies, deff visit again. Staff were sp welcoming
S. G.
Kids love it x
L. W.
Great experience, staff were a little rude but overall very good!
S. L.
Great place to exhaust the children. Plenty of space and seems to have been expanded and upgraded since I was here last (or is that my imagination?)
N. R.
Absolutely incredible place for children & adults alike. Thoroughly enjoyed the 11am til 4pm visit, didn't get bored once! And that's just the adults! 👌🏼
Awesome place, will most definitely be returning!
Staff were all incredible too, brilliant customer service & the food was on point!
Well done guys! 👍🏼
A. K.
Good place for kids, hard to get parking in peak time. There were so many kids inside. I think they don’t have any policy to keep any number of kids inside. It was shortage of staff. Staff was running here and there to co op with situation. Toilets were not clean. Need to clean them more frequently. Kids loved madness inside but we are tired by so many people.
k. c.
Kids loved it. Great for babies too.
L. C.
Came here at about 11.30am on a Saturday - it was raining so it was packed but I was expecting that (especially seen as Wam Bams has closed down.) Still managed to get a seat and the facilities are all clean and the service was good. My son had some food and it was quick, hot and a good portion. Costa coffee was lovely! Will be coming again definitely 😊 Can see how it will become expensive with all the extra rides at a £1 a go but for a day inside entertaining a 3 year old what do you expect!
D. P.
Have been a regular at Mambo for a few weeks now and have got to say very happy with every experience so far! Staff are great! Lovely lady with the green hair is always a pleasure to chat to. She always greets me when I come in and is always organised cleaning something! She is a credit to Mambo indefinitely.
Food is good, coffee is great! Lots of things for my kids to do too we could literally spend all day here and the kids won't get bored!
H. M.
Absolutely LOVE Mambo! I have been going on and off for the past few months whenever I can and it's a great way to keep the kids busy. I can even get some work from home things done and I needn't worry as the place is so safe and the staff are amazing! One thing I would say they could improve is preventing children from going into the ride areas. I've noticed there are a lot of kids of which their parents don't watch them and they just climb in as they probably assume it's part of the frame they can climb. I've seen parents putting them over the fence and telling them to put the pound in even though they know full well a member of staff need to supervise the ride. I have even seen a kid behind the frame itself and a staff member had to leave the busy queue to go and get them out as parents were nowhere to be seen! I think it's hard for kids to determine what's safe in the frame and what's not and some parents think they can just do whatever they want when they want, they don't seem to be bothered about their kids safety x
Nevertheless an amazing place see you again soon!! :)
A. H.
Fabulous place for children to play. Very safe. Staff are very helpful. The only negative thing is the toilets 🚻 are not child friendly thay are high for 3year olds the soap is to high and thay can't press the tap on. Put this right and you would get 4 stars ✨. But we had lots of fun on school trip.
S. M.
Very good indoor arrangements. Lots of activities for kids and babies. There are party rooms as well. I felt short of staffs and we had to wait in entrance for staff to come. Some tables are not cleaned. In school holidays and weekends the price increases about twice. But we enjoyed our time there.
S. H.
Lovely big play area, well maintained and a decent grown ups burger to top it off 👍🏻

Love this place. Have been a handful of times (from Swansea) and it's so easy to take a 1 and 2 year old. Large area for the toddlers to play and and even bigger area for the older kids (which my 2 year old gets around almost fine!)
Never been when busy, and certainly don't want to! I always keep it during the week, morning, and not during term break.
1 star short because I've eating lunch there once and found it below average. But will give it another chance.
Will be returning for sure!

Quite simply the largest indoor play adventure area I've taken the kids too. The 9yo played football the entire time we were there, the 4yo was here there and everywhere and the baby loved the baby play and ball pit. Brand new facilities and great prices.
S. N.
Amazing soft play - huge area with gated separate areas for toddlers and babies. They don't charge for adults which is refreshing. Food is decent quality for a good price. Well thought out with separate baby change and toilets. Lots of little activities tucked away in small areas as added extras like the little scooters. Although it is huge, it doesn't feel overwhelming which some of these places can. Lockers are available to store things in as well. Only improvement would be to monitor the older children entering the toddler areas as they run around and knock the little ones over.
E. H.
My grandson loved his time here
R.
Really good fun for my 18mth old. Very busy, so parking was a bit of a problem and had to walk with baby and large bag some distance. Possibly should have waited for a space, but son doesn't agree with waiting. Not taking off a star for parking as had brilliant time. Maybe stop older children using baby/toddler section.
K. K.
Never been before, all staff were extremely helpful, the amount of sanitising the equipment was very thorough, staff were all so busy making sure that everything was safe and spotless - Well Done
T. R.
Great place for a children's party. Admired the little kids who visited the party rooms they hadn't been invited to so they could nick more food. Huge play area offering more than enough fun, but prepare to lose your child!
M. M.
My daughter absolutely loves it here. Also fab deals during term time. Slightly expensive during the holidays especially if you're bringing 3+ children. But the food is always great prices and good sizes.
c. m.
Brilliant will definitely take the kids back again
E. H.
A really great soft play. Kids and adults can truly have a great time.
Cafe is small but got the basics - drinks and snacks.
I noticed only 2 things that should improved.
1. They need more staff over the weekends, when it's busy, otherwise customers have to wait by the entrance for quite a while.
2. They should move baby play area to a different place. It's located right by the main entrance and toilets. Which means that during winter there's a constant flow of cold air from main entrance. Another downside is that smoking area is right by the entrance. That makes the cold air smelly and not great for the parents and their toddlers.
T. E.
Had our party there today. A class party for 32 children however I personally feel that since the roofs have been added to the party rooms, it has made 1 the rooms a lot smaller and 2 100 times hotter than is needed.
The rooms are defiantly smaller as 2 of my guests sat on a separate table out side of the party area. Really believe you really need to rethink the size of the party rooms, as with 32 children normally comes 32 parents x
R. “. G. D.
Great play area and a bit of on site parking, but they are massively understaffed and are always rushed off their feet which impacts of the level of service you'd expect.
Aside from the play area, there is also a bouncy castle, kids football area and a couple of go karts. The karts are a pound a go and are aimed at small children (speed wise) but will easily take a child and parent for very little or nervous ones.
The food is alright, but they do sometimes stop serving food early with no warning so of you're going straight from school, be warned.
All of the play is unsupervised and as such, only a very small number of parents actually watch their kids which means you always have them running up the slides and accidents are quite frequent.
The setup is pretty good though. It's all laid out stretching across the wall so watching your kids should be easy, but it does get very busy and very hot.
Accessibility is pretty good with everything being on one level (apart from the activity play) and there are a couple of disabled bays to the front.
N. J.
Fantastic play area for children. My main concern is the quantity of wasted plastic. Food is served in plastic bowls, plastic cutlery and take away hot drink cups. Considering the current issues with plastic, maybe less plastic could be used?
J. S.
Great place where kids can wear out their craziness and parents/ raltives/ friends have a cuppa. Also great for kids birthday parties! Has a good offer for afterschool play for kids (meal+entry). Adults free entrance. Although, check online for any changes in prices and offers ;-)
B. P.
Very Clean!!!! Nice food! Friendly staff! Great fun for low cost.
My son is 2 years old and I found it's perfect place for him to play (and for me as they offer lovely late).
Well done Mambo!!!
K. A.
Thank you very much for making our day my son really enjoyed
C. C.
Far to expensive for basic fast food. Dry and tasteless. Very clean place. Good place for all age groups to play. Having only one grandson, I did not mind as a one off. But I would not go again to include food as part of our day out.
B. C.
Lots for the kids to do and play on for all sizes and ages. Food is slow unless it's a lunchbox for the kids. The staff are all friendly and the exit is a secure area so kids can't just escape. Very busy at weekends so parking can be a struggle. They work on a colour wrist band system and the tannoy system is hard to hear. Extra costs inside are vending machines and arcade rides. Bonus for dads was the big screen with rugby although someone needs to watch the little ones.
U. C.
What a fantastic place for children and adults if your feeling adventurous. Very safe and loads to do. Cafe area where you can wait your little ones having fun. Good price and definitely worth it.
G. S.
Good softplay for kids aged 2 and up, there is a lot to do here but due the size of the place it's advised an adult stays with younger kids whilst they play. Cafe is average but worth bringing some drinks and food along if on a budget
M. G. a. A. J.
Kids absolutely love it here an ask to come often, food an drinks are reasonably prised. The little go karts are a bonus at £1 a go. Best Soft play centre we’ve been to.
P. M.
I take my 2 year old every Monday and would not go anywhere else. The play area is great for her. The bouncy castle her favorite, and mine. Great coffee too
G. S.
Our son loved it. Not great food staff but can look past that when the day was for my son and not myself!
V. R. &. S. C.
At last a warm play centre for children in Cardiff!
We have been here a few times now and each time it has been outstanding.
The staff are very friendly, great prices, the place is spotless, very child safe and great food!
If you are looking for somewhere to take the little ones in Cardiff this is the place we highly recommend above all others.
Keep up all the good work, we will be back very soon!
S. E. (.
Needs much more emphasis on stopping larger children being in the 0 to 3s area also need someone clearing away old food as some sat there for our entire 3 hour stay everything else there is excellent just these little things and allowing parents to smoke right outside the doors let it down. Walking my child back to the car through a haze of smoke wasn't positive.
J. H.
Large play area, well fenced off toddler area and a lovely few hours out. It's just a shame that it's so expensive! Entry and food are at the top end of the scale for soft play.
C.
An amazingly large, modern, well structured and well lit softplay centre with good parking. However, it sometimes does not have enough staff on the weekend to keep everything clean and all the kids under control.
S. S.
My kids had lot of fun here but for me it's a bit cold and the hurricane cars great idea but need more space to use and there's a lot of space actually around the centre they can use it for more slides or other plays
S.
Really large indoor play centre with many different activities
N. M.
Plenty for the children to do and food seemed well priced.
L. D.
Used to be our favourite soft play but now it's too expensive, especially with two children. It is clean and the food is reasonably priced, but the entry prices mean we can't go as much anymore which is a shame.
M. B.
Very noisy but to be expected. Lots to do for the kids. The food is good. Very safe for the kids. Try to go outside busy periods as it does get very busy. Free entry for adults.
B. A.
Great place, massive warehouse, built really well. Lots of parking (although busy on weekends) prices are reasonable, play areas to suit all ages. Food and Costa coffee
L. G.
Largest indoor spft play ive been to , my kids loved it
M. W.
It was our first trip there today with our 2 grandchildren, age 3 and 8,they loved it,they had food from the kids meals, which they enjoyed. The staff were very helpful and polite. You will need a few £1 coins for the rides and games machines, but overall it was a great afternoon, and we will definitely be going back soon.
M. F.
Brilliant fun kids love it there Happy with the price. Equipment could do with a wipe over
D. L.
Nice place, kids love it, decent coffee. Down side, no diary alternatives and expensive to get in!
C. B.
We went to mambos this morning it was very good, the staff were very kind and well mannered… And the food and drinks were amazing.
O. B.
Good soft play. Overall clean and food has good portion sizes. Slight lack of healthy options but can be excused. One of the better ones in Cardiff.
h. r.
now... this place is great for kids but it's always packed. there is a 2 hour limit at busy times but they announce for people to leave and they don't, it is not enforced either so you end up on ur feet and not being able to eat food etc. food is good though if u can get a table so u can eat it.
B. C.
What a fantastic day out !!!
Took my 2 young niece's and they loved every minute😊
Excellent value for money, great food and Drinks too,
The Kids already have our next visit all planned 😊
L. B.
Hell on earth for parents, fantastic for kids. Now serving Costa coffee to make it more bearable for the grown ups.
Expensive at weekend entry price but great value parties and after school deals
M. M.
Great place but prices aren't the same as website I think it's a little bit too much lovely and clean place but too pricey for a limited 2 hours slot
J. H.
Mambo can be understaffed however they're all lovely and do the best they can to accommodate me and my grankids.
Running back from counter to rides to cleaning 2 accommodate every customer. Always polite and smiling even in very stressful conditions.
Anyone who complains here about how long they takes to get on the rides needs to get a life and stop acting so selfish!! Teach your kids a good lesson xxx
Everytime I comes it's very clean and they aim to see to toilets every half hour.
They all works so hard and as a regular who sees them put under such stress I can say I appreciate. It's hard to get out cleaning when theirs busy periods.
Party host I think her name Bethan amazing had party last week and all staff are fun and lovely to talk to! X
J. C.
Great day out, endless fun if you're 7 years old.
Friendly staff, the freshly cooked food is very tasty and it was nice and warm for sitting around.
A. K.
My favorite place to take kids on wet days
B. F.
Brilliant and massive. Caters for all ages. Has bumper cars go karts and lots of different activities. Staff were a bit slow when serving or speaking with people. Due to security people have to wait to be buzzed out and there were quite a few people standing there for quite some time including myself. 3 people behind the counter but not monitoring the gate. Also my son bashed his head pretty hard in part of the apparatus and had a nose bleed. One of the staff just asked if he was ok and helped with his nose bleed but for health and safety reasons no details taken for my son from me or my wife to put in their accident report book. When told there maybe blood on the apparatus there was no rush to get any of the kids off to clean the blood if any.
Staff need to be a bit more vigilant especially as it's a big venue.
s. s.
Nice place for children to play. But short time 2hours only and they increased the ticket price
R. D.
Great place to take the kids 😁 different sections for babies, toddlers and older kids!
A. H.
Amazing place but over priced
M. M.
We hosted my son's 10th birthday party at Mambo. It is spacious and has a number of activities to keep the young ones occupied. Same cannot be said for the accompanying adults though.
C. M.
I would like to say thank you to the manager in charge this afternoon 1.06.19 (i think her name was Debbie)(sorry if i am wrong),who was so helpful when my son started feeling ill.She was so carying and got us ice bags and made sure the child felt better before living the play area. What you did was amazing !Robert is better now, probably just dehydrated! It us so good to know that the staff is willing to go the extra mile to make a difference.
w. w.
I took my 3 year old Grandson to Mambo's last week for the first time and he loved it. Great value and so much for the kids. He certainly slept when I got him home !!!
S. W.
Great place for the kids but they need air con was way to hot
K. T.
A fantastic play center. Something for all ages with secure areas for younger children. Food here is also fab. Price is a bit step, not very much parking and always very busy!
C. G.
Great place for the kiddies, deff visit again. Staff were sp welcoming
S. R.
Nice and big play area suitable with all ages, food with good quality and reasonable prices, staff little bit ignores customers ( asked when the electric cars will be available anserd in about half an hour at 11.30 still not open 1.55pm)
E. M.
This is always our prefered place! Its very clean. Friendly staff and food is well presented and fairly priced. My toddler loves it and so do i!
E. J.
Fab place. Clean, spacious, well maintained and fun for little ones
S. E.
First time at Mambo today and loved it. Best place we've taken the kid's in ages. Clean, warm and great food. Thanks to all the lovely staff!
C. P.
We went on a really busy, wet weekend and even at its busiest there's plenty of space! Loads of things to do for our 1 year old and plenty for older kids too
S. “. Z.
It was a first time that I took my daughter there, She enjoyed the entire time.
J. D.
Fabulous play area and party venue but needs more staff to operate the pay for rides. My son was very disappointed he couldn't go on the bikes because there was no staff.
R. J.
It is the best indoor in Cardiff. However it’s also outgrown its latest site. The car park is way too small, when it’s busy it’s just chaos inside.
f. f.
Super..best Indore playroom:) so clean.. my girl love it..
R. G.
Great place but they really need to enforce the rule of the toddler only area. There were lots of older children running around in there yesterday knocking the toddlers over
A. S.
Recently moved location and expanding kids play centre at its best like the fact you can see all areas from the seating areas. Post some pictures when I go again as my boy loves it.
J. L.
Great place kids loved it... friendly staff... Kids played all day prices of food is really good.... Kids can't wait to return :) smiles all round
K. B.
My kids love this place
A. M.
A very nice and cheerful place for kids, if u r visting cardiff and would like a place for ur kids to play and enjoy their time (Indoors) then u mist go there!
E.
Me and my kids love the place, all 5 stars well deserve it. We travel 2-3 times a month from Bristol.
N. M.
my daughter loves this place ! Quite clean compared to some other softplay centers, but a bit of a fly issue ! Need to sort this has this put us off ordering food .
C. S.
It has everything in here! It's great! On a negative note though, the toilets are by the exit and if you lose your child in here it could take a while to find them!
G. T.
Would get 5 stars instead of 3 if they would reintroduce wifi. The old site had great wifi and meant I could do some work while the kids burned off energy. I'll go to Parcplay from now on when I need internet access.
UPDATE
Wifi restored now - here's the five stars!!
E. A.
Great fun, good workout if you have a little you need to follow around. Have booked 6 year old party for February
R. B.
A great place to take the kids on a rainy day. It's huge inside with sections for kids of all ages. My boys had a fab time.

h. c.
Brill! You only have to pay for the kids n under 12months its free👌 if your gonna eat in there have the kids meals. They're just as nice 😊
T. M.
My 3 year old grandson has a blast Everytime he goes to Mambo's, he has a lot of energy to burn off and Mambo's is great for this, there's so many different things to do it's well worth the money.
S. G.
Lovely time but some ride on toddler machines not working wldnt except coins. But staff sorted it quite quickly.
S. H.
Plenty for kids to play and do, friendly staff clean plenty of seating, if not too busy. The party rooms look fun with disco lights.
N. J.
Lovely big play centre for all ages, a little overpriced tho. Especially when there's things inside that cost s extra money
E. D.
My kids love it here and will not go anywhere else. It is usually busy but that's to be expected because it seems to be the best around.
L. W.
Great experience, staff were a little rude but overall very good!
C. I. R.
Fantastic. Will come back. Mambo staff the young skinny girl was rude. She doesn't know how to talking to customers. When I ask prices she didn't explain
A. R.

C. S.
Absoloutely boiling in there, and really expensive. Nevertheless, the kids loved it, but I didn't!

R. R.
The kids love this place, they sell coffee and some food too. Its massive soft play area.
R. K.
Nice play area but ventilation is an issue in hot weather can get really hot. Parking is easy and good for birthdays.
C. L.

J. R.
Enjoyed 😉with my son 💙
And grandsons l8gan .and my granddaughter scarlett

Best play centre hands down. Take my daughter here twice a week she absolutely loves it. Staff always helpful and food always spot on
E. C.
Great and really big indoor play soft area for the kids. Nice staff, good and affordable menu.
S. P.
Fabulous time for the children. Disappointed they upped the price & chopped the time over the school holidays.
Reasonably clean. Very pleasant staff.
A. B.
Food was terrible and very costly. Plus they seemed to be short staffed so alot of waiting round to be served. Kids enjoyed though.
G. G.
A great place for mixed ages babies to 10 year olds.Food 5 star can't fault.been there a few times Totaly recommend.
C. P.

Loved how everything was cleaned as soon as people left and it wasn't crowded. Good to see
L. R.
Great time, not too busy as friday! Guessing chaotic on weekends! Cleanest play center in Cardiff by far!
C. B.
Good size...good for various aged children and toddlers but staff could do with cheering up and having a bit more urgency about them.
A. W.
Fun place for kids. Large screen a good idea as parents can catch the rugby or football while the kids have fun.
S. S.
Awesome, I want to be a kid again! Went with my 20 month old boy and had a lot of fun chaos g him around the toddler softplay!
J. W.
Always really busy but that's just because it's the best around. Our friends came all the way from Swansea and were really impressed how good it is
y. r.
Perfect place to tired out kids in a rainy day.
P. L.
Went with my one year old. The toddler section is great. Very clean and tidy.

M. M.
Fantastic playground for kids. Especially in bad dumpy weather.
G. E.
Great for the kids and lots of seating but does get busy very quickly!
S. N.
Little disappointed that it cost me £15 for my two grandsons in half term, for just over two hours, whilst when it's not half term you get entrance and meal for less, plus you now have all the money making machines, which my two wanted to go on as soon as we arrived, yes the boys like it here but if you're not careful you can spend quite a bit.
G. M.
Great value soft play with excellent facilities. Food is reasonably priced too.
I. J.
Great for the kids. Huge place. A little too busy at times. Have struggled to park.
M. G.
