A place where even adults have fun 🥳 Went out in the terrible rain today, only to be greeted so nicely by staff opening the door, so I can get in quickly. She was very helpful and polite and simply told me where to put my buggy, where I had to put my sons shoes and the cost/timing etc. Went to the back, parked my buggy, came to desk to pay. Another very polite and helpful lady and off we went to play. My son found some new friends to play with, so I went to sit down and saw a cute little corner serving tea, coffee and much more. Again, a big smiley and friendly young lady. Hands down this place is awesome. It's not super big but it's PERFECT for its purpose. We went to have fun and we surely had that. That's ALL that matters. Definitely will be going again as its great fun and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Thank you for staying open so our kids can come have fun, whilst we relax and have a cuppa. See you all again soon. 🥳

Nice soft play, baby area is great and the ball pit is huge. Upstairs section is good too and it’s in a great location for parents (right behind the Clapton Hart!). Only negative feedback is the amount of signage which is full of rules rules rules. I work in a visitor attraction so know a bit about signage and this was well over the top. The staff are nice but one lady was like the soft play police. I felt watched and she told me off about 3 times! So nice place but strange staff (not all of them).

It is small soft play but nice and kids enjoyed it. They had a good fun and they really like it. Very reasonably priced.

Visited today with my son friendly staff and lady was telling the kids they couldn’t be in the under 3 section which was nice. My son had lots of fun in the baby section. Only down side is the baby section doesn’t have much. Maybe some new toys and the cars need batteries. X

A lovely bouncy castle for kids all groups ages

We have been coming here when my son was a baby and he’s 13 years old now. When ever he comes to play, he get excited and he love to play with his sister in here. After long time first time we came I should take picture of his face. I am keen to see them in their new place. I wish all the best
Lovely family running business. Never had any issue.

Review update: finally managed to visit and wow, we had so much fun!!!! Highly recommended!!!!
Didn’t even have the chance to check it out…not really helpful when the opening time change on the day, and the only warning is a sign on the door! Try to explain it to a 3yr old!

My kids loved this place. We've been before a while ago but they changed it now . It's more fun and more to do for kids. Tables with chairs around the play area. Little shop with drinks and food. Clean. You can book parties. And a little parking place.

To be Honest , The worst place for kids to go. It’s very dirty and toys look very unsafe and Old, even don’t have enough, My daughter she went by mistake 0-3 years section one stuff came she was so rude with her. very rude staff. It’s doesn’t wosre £5 per 90 minutes. Good things is limited Free Car parking .

Food is tasty and well priced, lots to do for the bigger children, not so much to do for the younger ones, location / appearance leaves much to be desired, admission price is good considering other places charge almost 2x or 3x more.

We love it been twice , planning to go again
Was scared to go first time because have seen bad reviews but we loved it
The 3year went crazy and the baby enjoy it.
Will give 5stars when it reopens in its bigger building

Nice, friendly place. Good size not too big not too small. Took our 15 month old she loved it. Little cafe that does hot food and drinks and snacks/icecreams. Reasonably priced too! Will come back.

I bring my 3 yr old here regularly and she thoroughly enjoys it, it is the closest soft play area locally so we have no other choice. The staff are not as friendly as they could be, would be great if they smiled a bit more and made us feel more welcomed. The cafe area could also do with a good clean, I am not comfortable ordering hot drinks as the cups they use are regular mugs which others also use and sometimes have stains on them, recyclable cups would be so much better. The same goes for the cutlery. İt is a really valuable place and I'm so pleased we have it nearby but would really love to see some improvements.

Fun, inexpensive, community minded. Well priced, tasty food. A real gem for Clapton

To much adult climbing to get photos but fun for kids. After one hour playing in there they will sleep when they get home

Great play area for children aged 3-12 yrs old. My kids loved it! Lovely staff happy to help an assist you. This place is a clean and safe environment for kids to play and let off steam . I will be going again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My 9yr old enjoys coming here with friends. The place has been reorganised but it still could do with some improvement. I paid for 9mth old to enter but nothing to play with as is still too small. Sat around with 2 balls in her hand.

Took my children there for an afternoon play session. The staff were not very nice. Took temperatures at the door which was one of the few good things. Once inside, the actual play area is good and kids enjoyed.
Fast forward once the place was busy , they let far too many people in and then complained when parents had no where to sit. Food was ok and decent price however I paid in cash and did not get my change back. At first I was ok with it because it was not much money but as I had to buy more items and each time I overpaid no change was given which was a bit cheeky. I would like to still reccomend the place as my kids had a fun time overall.

Lovely place for kids. They have a cafe with good cafe prices . A little area with a bouncy castle for under 3s or 4 I cant remember and the rest is for older kids along with a ball pit back open 😉
A. M.
Excellent place for children, had a wonderful time, and the staff there are very helpful and kind.

An amazing place for children to play! I take my son there ALL THE TIME! Although can get a bit crazy during half terms.... Children go a bit awol! But that's what a good soft play does to them! 😂🤣
S. L.
Fun for the kids, reasonably priced food and entry. This is one of our regular hang outs

My 4 years son love this place and 2h for the price per kid is very cheap... it's nice

Friendly staff, kids really enjoy it everytime and well priced.

Had my daughter's birthday party here. Was fantastic!
O. T.
It is clean soft play , but they don't care about the main door to the street so your child can run outside to the road, that was happened to me , they said we don't have the key and you should take care of your child.

Went for a private birthday party. My kids had a great time. Don't let the outside appearance deter you. The soft play was really good for them and manageable if you have more than one child. There is parking on site but do call ahead and check before you intend to go as there is permit parking surrounding the venue.

Good place to take the kids locally and reasonably priced. Bit scruffy, carpets look like they could do with a good clean and the balls in the pit and some of the toy cars are black and dirty but my son isn’t bothered and loves the bouncy castle. The staff are always really unfriendly here unfortunately and that should be addressed. Barely a hello, thank you or goodbye. It’s not unreasonable to expect maybe a smile or someone to look up and speak to you when you’re paying for admission or collecting your shoes.

Kids had a great time and the space was okay.
Although stuff weren't very friendly.
M. B.
It's a lot smaller than It used to be as they've sold of the biggest chunk, great for preschoolers on a weekday, packed over the weekend, and with a 2 hour timeslot on a very quiet day seems a little useless. I wouldn't recommend for 7+ it just seems too small. Food is lovely and very considerable prices, I do feel they really take the community in mind. I'd go back only out of convenience.
B. B.
It's of a reasonable size. Kids above 4 pay £5 for 2hrs or 1.5hrs on Bank Holiday.
I think that is very good price.
There's a slide with ball pit, climbing area and area for little children.
Toilets are clean, just sometimes water is splashed on the floor by the children.
Food is very reasonably priced. Counter has quiet good selection of sweets, drinks, cupcakes.
Staff is always nice. Never had a rude person here. Young girl usually does walk around to see if children behave.
Tables are clean.
Don't get me wrong. It's not too huge and latest modern play centre but my kids love it.
There's a parking too but only for about 10 cars so is usually full.
Also during busy times, they'll make you wait few minutes outside until more space becomes available inside. It's understandable. Over all it deserves 5*
Sometimes they have Birthday parties on so it's advisable to call before you come,if they'll open.
The people who leave bad reviews are probably used to more "posh play centres" so don't let it put you off.

Been many times with my kids, staff are super nice and helpful, food is nice and cheap, the place is clean - they get you to wash hands on arrival and they are constantly cleaning surfaces bins, handles etc and the kids toys. The toilets are always clean. Great to see with everything going on KEEP IT UP
G. J.
Great space for kids to release their excess energy. Staff polite and professional. Good impression. Booked my sons birthday there for next month as we been there twice now and he had really good time.
T. R.
For the price, it's a pleasant place to go when the weather do limit you to move around. Enjoyable place for bright energetic kids to unhand it. The cafe has pleasant prices and good variety of meals that kids may love it.

A very nice place to go with the kids. It is a good idea but is expensive for the time that you get. If you have four children that is £20 just for entry. Also it is Quite small as they are renovating; my child was in one of the toy cars and wanted more space, an adult restricted my child to stay inside the gated area which was packed with different toys and children. Overall good idea but expensive for the current product/ overall experience.

Kids had fun, and food was good. Will visit again!

Small but nice. Staff were helpfull at asking kids too big for the baby section to use the big section instead. Seating and tables available. Their kitchen wasn't working so we couldn't order any food and they wouldn't let us get a sandwich from a shop down the road to feed our babies instead (we had planned getting a meal from them). A bit annoying on a cold November afternoon, having to eat out in the dark street.

I had my son's birthday party here and it was all perfect. The kids had a lot of fun. I think the place is temporary because they are doing some work. I think in a while it will be even more beautiful
S. M.
The prices are reasonable, food is cheap and the kids love it. What else can I say? If you have a toddler and £15 in your pocket, you can get entry, lunch, drinks and have change left over for an ice cream, making you the best dad eveeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrr.

I hosted my daughter's birthday party here. The size of the play area is smaller than before due to the development work, but they are managing the space well. Staff I interacted with right from booking the event through to the actual day were very helpful, informative, and attentive to my requests. The kids had a great time. Thanks Kidzmania!

We often take our little girl to this soft play centre and she loves it. It's especially great on a rainy wintery day when you can't take them to the park. It's pretty adventurous with upper walkways, slides, ball pools and climbing frames. The older kids go pretty wild so you'll need to accompany the smaller children otherwise they'll no doubt get knocked over! They also have food there (baked potatoes, pastas, sandwiches etc) for some post-workout fuel. It could be a little cleaner but otherwise it's a good spot (as far as soft play goes).

Kidsmania is currently undergoing refurbishment but it is still open for business. The play area is temporarily in another building and is smaller than the original building. I think the prices could of been lowered for a smaller place. It is OK the kids have fun the opening times are good and it's local, I do prefer other soft play but I'd go here again. I would not recommend for a child older than 6 I think it wouldn't be stimulating enough. My son enjoyed it there he is 2. There is a good range of snacks available. There could of been more staff supervision at times around the baby area, and the slide where there were older kids climbing up.

It was very busy and manic on the day we went. Not very big. My 4yr old got bored after about an hr and wanted to go home.
R. D.
Lovely little play area for children. Doesnt look that great from the outside but on the inside quite good. Price was okay for my 2year old neice for 2 hours. That tall fair skinned man not friendly at greeting at all.

Thank you for letting me come I’ll be back with my other tutor

Great, friendly place to take kids to run around in bad weather, where parents can relax with WiFi and a paper. Cheap menu of child-friendly, reasonably nutritious food. I’d love great coffee, too, but you can’t have everything.
T. K.
Don’t be fooled by the exterior. Although a little grotty on the outside and a little tired on the inside... you little ones will not care! My daughter can not get enough of the place (4 YO).
Standard snacks on site and the coffee is quite drinkable.

fun for kids
Kidsmania is a fare size for a venue in Hackney. I took a three year old boy there twice and he had lots of fun interacting with other children and the coloured balls and apparatus. the staff do ask you to obviously be responsible for your own children which I didn't always witness from other parents. The staff were also friendly and pleasant enough and there are snacks and drinks ice cream etc to purchase...and there are about a dozen small tables and chairs for adults to chill out on while the children go wild.
Great venue for children parties and school parties. If I was pushed for a down side I would say if you are early and arrive during a school parties exit or just before they are officially open even though the door might be open you are not allowed to wait in their foyer due to health and safety issues so we arrived on a very cold day and after waiting in the reception area for two minutes we are asked to wait outside while the staff cleaned up after a school party. ..so best advised to arrive on time and not early as we did.
All in all a great place for the little ones especially pre school children

Ignore these negative reviews!
Yes, it's smaller than it was due to the original site being developed, but it's still fun, friendly and exceptional value!
The good in the cafe is delicious, generous and sold at what can't be much more than cost.
What's more, in a rare example of a developer with a conscience, they will be getting a space in the new building once it's complete.
So, give them a break and support this local icon - one of the few remaining places around that isn't some ruthlessly commercial operation!
