This is the loveliest bookshop I've ever been in. Been there 3 or 4 times now and went yesterday with my elderly mother. The lady was once again so helpful and we bought two lovely books for my grandchildren. Which the lady wrapped up so nicely. A magical little shop. Thankyou

This is the loveliest shop. Every time I go in, the staff are so friendly and helpful. If I go in to get a present, we discuss who it's for, and my budget, and I am offered so many, thoughtful beautiful suggestions I often struggle to narrow it down. Julia and her colleagues are especially knowledgeable about their books, which are a treasure trove! My children have enjoyed every one of their suggestions, and we love an excuse to pop in and see what's new on the shelves.

Beautiful things, and lovely people. It’s always a pleasure to shop here. My first stop for presents for nieces and nephews and friends children - the staff are brilliant at recommending the perfect book or toy, and are clearly passionate about the items they stock.

The best toy shop/book shop for miles and Julia will always help with suggestions for presents. This shop has really unusual and interesting toys and games and of course reasonably priced. Ottie and the Bea turned this little shopping parade around.

We really love this local shop. It’s always filled with such gorgeous toys and books, something suitable for all ages and lovely bits and bobs to take a look at if you make it into the shop. Julia and her team are always so friendly and helpful too. It’s such a delight to have something like this on our doorstep!

A most wonderful shop experience full of gems (with an online shop too) fabulous selection of children's books, a delightful range of toys/educational games, crafts and kits for all ages. Julia and her staff are all as friendly and knowledgable as each other, they are great at finding gifts and knowing the stock well. Super helpful, welcoming to children too. Highly recommend visiting.

It’s a magical place full of beautiful crafts, puzzles and toys plus a wide range of books that are interesting. I love going there as much as my daughter. I ordered online during lockdown and we had the delivery within a couple of hours. The staff are so helpful and friendly, and we’ve been to many events. My daughter is part of the Book Club and enjoys it.

What a fantastic shop - both on and offline! Ottie and the Bea has the most beautiful, engaging toys from pocket money bits to the perfect birthday gift. I love shopping at this little independent shop. A huge choice of items for children that keep them and me entertained for ages. A bit more expensive than the high street but the quality is superb and the items are built to last and so well worth the slightly higher price tag. Whenever I go in clueless about book titles or presents Julia is so knowledgable and the presents are always well received. I cannot express how much this little shop has been a godsend during this lockdown period- more great items and local delivery. Myself and the children are really looking forward to popping in again to one of the many workshops when they are back in action again. Excellent shop, amazing choices and very reasonable price for great quality.
