A great little soft play and one of those to still be in business after C19 lockdowns. Attended a party which was after normal hours and was provided around laser tag. Three games with the lights down low over the soft play equipment. All the kids had a great time from what everyone could tell. The staff were great and allowed a fair amount of leeway to the kids (in an entirely safe way)

We really enjoyed this soft play with my 15 month old daughter. Wasn't the cleanest of places. But - excellent layout, love the todler area, they have plenty of space to run around. Excellent parking facilities and was a bit busy in the morning but still plenty of space for everyone.

Was good fun for my one year old. She loved it. It was especially busy today but was still enough space. Like everyone else said it's not the cleanest and the bigger kids try to come to the smaller soft play area so have to keep an eye and stay close to our little ones. Overall she loved it and reasonably priced.

I booked two birthday parties back to back on the same day for my 5 year old and 11 year old with them and I must say both went amazing. The staff was very helpful and they made sure that everything was perfect from food to cake candles. They took care perfectly of the dietary requirements, and the kids enjoyed the place thoroughly.Big thanks to the management. Surely will book again with them with confidence.

I attended a party at the weekend (and have also hosted a few myself) at The Mad House and would 100% recommend it to friends and family. The staff are all so lovely and friendly and the Saturday manager Jasmine and General manager Nicky are clearly very experienced at their jobs and made sure everything ran smoothly. The food was perfect for the kids and all the guests were very happy and had a great time. The party room was quite warm and obviously when a room is filled with children and their guardians this will happen, however I am aware that there was a temporary issue with the air con which has now been fixed - but let’s face it, all businesses have temporary issues at times and unfortunately these things require professional servicing that the staff at The Mad House are not qualified to do 😂. Saying that, they did provide a small air con unit in the party room. I am aware of some unpleasant reviews on this feed and would urge anyone considering booking a party to take them with a pinch of salt as I’m sure we are all aware that some people cannot be pleased and will always be out for whatever they can get.

We held my daughters 5th birthday here on Saturday morning and it was so hassle free. They clearly do this all the time so it ran smoothly. Your goal is the children have fun and the parents have ample space to relax, although busy we had Ellie the dance coordinator check in via phone the night before to choose favourite songs, excellent notice and everything ran on time. We had a few kids with allergies and their plates were handed to us to ensure those were looked after well. You don’t need to bring any decorations etc, we had an incredibly spacious and fun room for our meal and cake cutting and the team cut it up and wrap it individually for all of your guests. As a parent, so hassle free, kids were happy and us grown ups had somewhere comfy to sit. Thanks again Nicky for your help with everything. Final note- I had been planning to write a review and have no affiliation at all with Mad House, however those other reviews written this week by 1 group of people are clearly about trying to wangle a discount and feels very unethical.

Our daughter had her 6th Birthday out of hours with yourselves last night, along with around 35 of her friends. All of the children had a great time and so did quite a few of the parents. The girls that hosted it did a great job and we cannot fault the whole experience one bit. It was great having the aircon working so well, it will go down well in the summer months. Brilliant place to go!! We travelled 30 mins drive and it was worth it! Cost friendly, fun and extremely clean, not to mention absolutely huge!! Large dedicated area for toddlers was a huge plus. Only downside was not a lot of tables. We offered to share ours with another family that couldn't sit. Will definitely go again!!

The facilities were okay, but all the toys were dirty, looked much older than one day old dirt. And there weren't many toys for younger children to play with. All the tables were in desperate need of cleaning as well. The staff were all miserable, maybe an e-learning course in "smiling" could be completed?

Fairly well priced and the kids loved it. However, there is a time limit that we weren't told about (we were about to leave anyway) and the food took an hour to come out and it didn't all come out at the same time. With a bit more organisation, this could be a great place.

My year-old grandson loved his experience at The Mad House on Christmas Eve but I was disappointed at the lack of festivity. Apart from a bit of frankly uninspiring tinsel in the Café area, you wouldn't have known it was Christmas. Even the rather brusque announcement informing customers that the venue would be closing in 15 minutes did not include any good seasonal wishes. A simple 'Happy Christmas' would have been nice. The toddler area was supposed to have been used only by the 4s and under, but no-one was stopping older children from playing there, which made me anxious for the safety of the tiny ones. I'd like to think the toys were regularly sanitised, and maybe they were, but they all looked a bit tired and grubby. However, the bottom line is that Arthur loved it, so maybe that's all that counts.

There's not much to say about soft play, it's not particularly large as far as they go, but it does have a nice toddler area. The lady on reception was friendly and efficient but gosh were the refreshment staff below standard. The guy serving had no idea what was going on, and I honestly only ordered a couple of canned fizzy drinks. The drinks were also warm, which is disappointing given that you're forced to buy their refreshments. Probably wasn't as nice as the soft play competition in the local area.

Big, fun and varied area for kids of all ages. My 21 month old had a great time there, but I could see much older kids (and also younger) enjoying as much as her. Good price too. Not too expensive for what it offers.

Came here with a friend for a birthday party with as 2 families. We didn't realise that the party table had to be booked in advance and also because we needed a minimum of 10 kids to book a party table we couldn't do much. The staff was cooperative to keep the birthday cake we had got in their fridge (as we couldn't take it up without a booking) and let us enjoy the rest of the bit. Kids had loads of fun for almost 2 hours. It was bustling with business as there were a couple birthday parties happening. We were happy with the kids menu selection and also with the overall cleanliness and hygiene in the place.

I don't know how it looks like outside of peak times, but on Saturday afternoons it really is a mad house! Very crowded, difficult to find a sitting space, prepare for a wait in the queue before entering this place. The staff works hard to keep the place clean, although be advised that if you're visiting during peak hours it may not be the cleanest. The cafe on the premises offers coffees, cold drinks and some hot menu (like burgers and chips). Snacks for children are also available. My kids (2 and 5) enjoyed it very much, and I think that's the most important, as this is what it's all about.

Great place, very big. I have visited a lots of soft plays in the area and this one has biggest Under 4's site I have seen.. There is room for toys and also a lots of space for babies to crawl, brilliant. Toilets are clean. Amazing atmosphere, big menu including kids favourites, also great idea with healthy snacks which are for example tiny bags with cut green cucumber., smoothies, good coffee. Very friendly staff. Lady at the reception very nice and polite. I would recommend this place. Great job guys. 👍

My little boy always has a great time here, although he gets bored very quickly with the toddler area and wants to then explore the bigger area. Stupid covid means currently there isn't a ball pit but it will be even better when it's allowed again. Drinks are not too overpriced and you get a decent amount of time per session. Staff have always been friendly and everything is always kept clean.

One of the better soft play areas in Reading, it's often very busy, however we timed it right, to arrive after 12, when some families are leaving to have lunch. Good mix of climbing and balance activities for the children and a toddlers area for little ones to explore. I didn't try the cooked food, instead took a packed lunch for my kids to eat. Chocolates and sugary sweets are placed prominently at the cashier desk where you go to buy food and drink, they should be looking to make it a more healthy selection, as they promote active play for fitness, but serve junk food. All in all a good place to spend a rainy summers day.

I give madhouse a 3 star rating because the place is clean and the people that work there are usually happy and helpful. There is a lot to do from small babies to the preteen. Great place to meet up with friends and let the kids run riot. Unless your able to go during school term time it will be filled over capacity. Example. I took my 4 year old and my 1 year old twin boys today. It cost £18 and told we were only allowed to stay for 1.5 hours as it was busy. Food is over priced for what is on offer. And many times the bigger children are running around in the under 4 section only. But this is due to the parents not supervising properly. So it is a great place to go on a rainy day when the kids are at school. When kids are off school id go somewhere else.

My kids love it, mind you they love all soft play places. Kids have had a couple of parties here, average pricing for what you get. Staff seem pleasant enough, adequate tea/coffee selection and it's clean (unlike some I've been to). Does get busy and stay away if you don't like loud environments!

£2 for a toddler is a pretty good deal, and it keeps them interested for an hour or so. We didn't buy any food, you're not allowed to bring your own, only baby food and water. Only concerns are the toddler area is a bit worn, we noticed a sharp edge, and the tables were full of packaging and rubbish when we arrived. If you're looking to keep a toddler busy, and you're not hungry and don't mind supervising them, it's fine.

Small soft play that is often packed during wet weekends but has ample parking and doesn't charge for adult entry. Cafeteria is mediocre but prices are good for this sort of place. Party rooms can be claustrophobic with no windows and gets stuffy during hot days but reasonably spacious. A few child decor and no themed rooms.

This is the best soft play in the area for my 2 years old daughter. We been there hours and hours and she still did not want to go home. I like, that they food area is very near the play area. So, they can continue running straight away after food. It's very safe. You can leave your little one run in without any worries of injury, but I still did enjoy every activities with my little one lol. Why not. We will be deffenetly back soon :-)

Me and my sons visited Madhouse this morning, were there was an incident were a man upset my 3 year old son who had said he hit him. I went to the desk to ask them to check the CCTV which they did, the manager did everything she could to help me I had to leave while they checked. I received a call within an hour after leaving unfortunately was unclear, they have given me a full refund and are sending free entry vouchers to my house. Very helpful an friendly staff.

Was fun and not over crowded like some places I have been to. Parking was easy also. A few minor points , like I say minor - 1. For the party games would do Musical Statues before Pass the parcel as the kids had sweets in there hands which distracted them abit for musical statues. 2. When the Party table is moved from the the upstairs to the party room the Host should make it clear , to move all belongings downstairs as we had guests on our table who had to share with another party for a short time until came down. not a Big thing and easily fixed. Would I book again - Yes 100% Thank you for a great party overall, very organised I feel and good team.

The Mad House is now under new managment, and has been from October 2013. They have replaced the flooring on the stairs and play area entrence. Also have cleaned the place to a point that customers coment on it. Now in the process of repainting.
