Flamingo cake for my sons 3rd birthday was absolutely perfect. Every detail was amazing, tasted delicious and everyone LOVED IT! My son adores flamingos and had been talking about his dream cake for about 6 months, with quite specific detail lol, the bakers got it spot on and it really made his day! Thank you so so much!!!!!

Lovely little bakery! Their bread and cakes are first class they also have vegan goods for you to try. They serve great coffee to go. Give them a try you will not be disappointed and make sure to go early for more choice! 🍰🍪🍩☕ I will be going back when I am next in Belfast 🥰

Lovely wee bakery! Amazing selection catering to all tastes, the chocolate brownie was AMAZING and huge slice as well which is such a refreshing change from the slivers you usually get served. 5 things I ordered came to less than a tenner which is more than reasonable. Very highly recommend. Lady serving me as well was just lovely.

The place has good selection of bread, however the prices of the bread are unjustified because it's not a real sourdough. Usually the sourdough is expensive because it takes a long time to ferment whereas for the bread there its obvious that yeast has been used. Additionally, the staff does seem a bit rude as couple of people mentioned.

Excellent bakery—although some of the offerings can be a bit heavy on the sugar. Made this insane nut loaf around xmas a few years back that was sublime — that's what is cool about this place, they're not afraid to release one-offs or special editions. You can pick up a pie or a pastry plus a coffee for an al fresco Ormeau lunch for a fraction of the price of a sit-down. As others have noted, there can be a bit of grump every now and again...i've been coming here for years and it's background noise at this stage. The grumpiness is offset by some very nice staff members. You'll get used to it :) Like many of the greats, they don't subscribe to generic 'training video' point-of-sale stuff, thank goodness! Authenticity is the name of the game here. Don't try to go there Sat AM, you'll be on a long line for a long time.

Hands down, the best bakery in Belfast. I know you've seen the que, and yes, it's worth the wait. Always something for everyone. Vegan items every day. It's just doesn't get any better than this.

Bread was delicious but the queue was ridiculous. That said I'll be back but perhaps not on Saturday morning with the queues..

The best bakery in Belfast with wonderful customer service with the bonus of dog biscuits that my dog adores! Our day wouldn't be complete without a visit!

It was an incredible experience I took a vegetarian roll of spinach and cheese and my boyfriend took a curry cake was amazing & fresh!. They were very kind to us because they allowed me to leave my Physiotherapy leaflets. Thank you for everything I will come back.😁

Fantastic local bakery producing bread, savoury snacks and sweet treats for a captive local market. Frequently there are long queues outside it. Opens a little late for a bakery especially on the weekends ( so don't go early). Worth looking at the window before joining the queue to see what the specials are that day.

I wish there were more of these. This wee bakery is amazing. Delicious baked goods, wonderful vegan sausage rolls and tasty sourdough. The place is little and dink, staff are friendly and helpful. Ordered a birthday cake and it really made a wee man's day. It was just awesome, looked fabulous and was delicious, and the decorations were super cute. I really rate it here, thanks so much bread and banjo, anytime I'm in Belfast I'll be swinging by and stocking up

OMG no matter how long the queue, join it and enjoy some amazing food that is clearly made with love for good food. Best bakery this side of the Atlantic 😍😍😍

Best Christmas Cake I've ever had! Love the sourdough, sausage rolls and everything else. Great work bread and banjo!

I don't find the lady at the till particularly friendly, but the baked loaves I've got from there are very nice. However if they're going to leave their selection behind the till, it would be nice if you weren't made to feel like a nuisance for asking what they have.

Our family adores Bread & Banjo! It's the best bakery in Belfast, offering excellent breads, THE BEST bagels this side of NYC, cakes, sweets and savouries all made with LOVE! Thank you, thank you! You have raised the bar and make Belfast GREAT!

I love this wee place although today the feta quiche was bland, very disappointing. Wont put me off going. I just wont order the quiche lol

Great food, but the woman on the till is not pleasant. The other staff seem lovely, though: the orange cake cook was lovely!

Fantastic little bread shop on the upper Ormeau Road. Many interesting types of bread on offer as well as some sweeter offerings. You definitely get what you pay for here and everything is delicious.
