Ordered a raspberry cake for my friend's birthday. It was just awesome! The topping was delicious (not overly sweet), the decoration was beautiful and the cake was freshly baked. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Would recommend it to everyone!

Their cakes are amazing!! it reminds of old fashioned traditional homemade cakes my mum made, the cream and sponge ohhh... so light. it tried the oreo vanilla cream, tiramisu and bought some cookies as well for Christmas.. very well made!! one of the hidden gems. looking forward to visit this place again.. the staff is so friendly (maybe he is the owner??) but i am thankful and happy to buy their cake

We have been getting our birthday cakes from here for over 5 years because they are the absolute best of anywhere. The icing the use is crazy good. In store they have outstanding cakes and other treats. The hand cook Turkish Pizza in store and it is amazing. Basically go here, everything you eat or drink (Turkish Coffee!) Will be amazing!

My usual go to for cakes that I need personalised for occasions. The best cake store in Bristol, much better than others such as cakebox. Briatanbul definitely delivers on taste and when they say fresh cream it really is! Most personalised orders are done within the day and you can choose colours to having chocolate chips within the base! Prices are decent too, would highly recommend

This bakery/cafe has a wonderful selection of Turkish deserts/ cakes such as baklava as well as freshly made coconut macaroons and cupcakes etc there’s always a different selection. I had this birthday cake made to order and I think it is probably the best cake I’ve tasted ! It was so moist and light, very chocolatey but not sickly sweet. Love the fact you can send in any picture as well and have it printed on top (on sugar paper!) What a wonderful idea. Love this place!

This place Is amazing my favourite place on earth to visit.The cats no only look amazing amazing best I have seen I real life but taste just as good, it has the perfect ratio of cake to cream to whatever you would like for the filling. Some of the best baklava me and my husband have had for a while. All the food is fresh and homemade in the shop. The spinach and feta gozleme was really good. Your local traditional turkish bakery on busy Gloucester road which is known to be a very interesting place with a lot of food places to choose from. This bakery has been there for ages and never compromised ever on quality, always same great taste reminds you a little bit of turkey. As you walk in counter is on left side with cakes, baklawas, pastries, tarts & biscuits, then on front you will see different turkish style croissant 🥐 called borek i think filled with olives or feta cheese or plain as well just amazing with milk, coffee or tea. There is a little place where a lady in traditional turkish dress and lovely smile is making special fresh bread for lehmacun. Absolutely love the place. Highly recommended.

This is one of my favourite places in Bristol! I'm from Albania and whenever I miss having some traditional desserts like trileçe or bakllava I go for Bristanbul. They not only satisfy my constant craving of byrek, but provided several times amazing cakes for birthdays and events. From them I also get my Turkish delight (llokume) and coffee and I can't be happier. Bought through the Too good to go app. I got baclava and some honey sponge cakes, both very nice. But also a filled pancake which could contain meat, I can't actually tell but the description on the app leads you to think you'll be getting sweets or cakes. It should say if filled pancakes might be savoury. When described as patisserie with pictures of cakes, you don't immediately think of meat products. Probably a reasonable amount for the money but to be a really good end of the day deal needed one more thing and a guaranteed all sweets option!

Gözleme, hand-rolled and made before your eyes the traditional Turkish way, £2.20 to eat in or £2 to take away. Çay (Turkish tea) in the characteristic little glass cup, just 70p. Turkish coffee—of course. And best of all, trays and trays of baklava! Wonderful variety. I love this shop. Go in the morning and see the gözleme being prepared, it'll make your day.
