Reviews of Nata & Co Bakery
I am Portuguese so I love, good café fantastic pastel de nata chouriço bread
Simpatic people
Best de nata outside of Portugal! Highly recommended, staff are great as well
Great set up, a wide range of choices. However, I was rather taken back when I was charged 1.60 for a glass of hot water.
Amazing food served with a lovely smile
Strongest coffee in Cardiff, full of flavour and not for the faint hearted.
There cakes are always fresh and tasty 👅
My rating is for their tart and friendliness of their staff, obregatoo (thank u in Portugal)
One of the best coffees in town!
perfect coffe. lovely staff Evo Anna 🤣🤣 this now me familly
Lovely staff and great cakes!
The Portuguese custard tarts are good, but the coffee is a little rough.
Superb bakes. Excellent value for money and the loveliest friendliest staff. If you're in Cardiff give this one a try.
Great food if pricey
The pasteles de nata really are delightful
Best Pastel Del Nata outside of Lisbon!
Good customer service and clean
The pastel de nata’s are amazing!
The pasteis the nata here are amazing.
A small paradise of Portuguese flavour! Highly suggested ;)
THE BEST cafe experience I have ever had, my boyfriend agrees. The cafe is absolutely spotless! The woman serving us has the best customer service manor I’ve ever received anywhere, a genuine passion for what she does shows! The young girl making our coffee was also extremely friendly. The natas were delicious and the coffee is by far the best coffee in Cardiff, beats the chain coffee stores! Has a really strong flavour. We will be returning again soon. Thank you!
I was looking for good breakfast in Cardiff when beeing there on my business trip and I found it just behind the corner of my hotel Angel on Castel street. The only bakery which was opened so early morning when city is just waking up. You have to try their absolutely amazing cakes, especially the one with lemon and almonds and probably the best coffee in the town. When I will visit Cardiff next time I know exactly where to go for it:-)
The best espresso I have had anywhere in the UK.
We came here on rainy Saturday afternoon and it was busy, but as there is loads of sitting options we manage to seat where we wanted.
The staff is very nice and friendly and welcomed us straight after entering the cafe. We had fried sweet puff pastry (bit different), very nice big pastry with custard cream and great pepperoni sausage bread to take home and 2 americanos (£9 in total). Enjoyed all of those.
The seating area is bit chaotic, but the drawing on the wall makes the cafe cosier.
Very delicious Nata, and friendly environment
Great value and very tasty
Amazing coffee, amazing cakes
Tasty Portuguese custard pastries
I love it 😀
Finally got here tasty!
Nice coffee shop by Cardiff Castle.
BEST CROISSANT AND COFFEE EVER

Amazing portuguese place

A secret jem in a crowded crown
Lovely staff, great coffee and delicious pastries. Great find.
Delicious Portuguese food.
Great coffee,
Very friendly
🥰🥰
5 stars
Best in Cardiff
Wonderfully friendly staff serving excellent coffee.
The Pastel de Nata were served still warm and incredibly fresh, wonderfully spiced with perfectly flaky pastry. Some of the best I have sampled.
Bwyd da, staff cyfeillgar! Food's always great, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is very nice for eating in or just having a coffee. Daytime café but open till early evening.
Lush!!
Egg tarts are displayed in various windows, and the taste and price are on point.
There is a wide variety of food and it is enough for a break.
You can purchase from just one piece, so it's perfect for eating while walking.
The sweetness is also modest for a UK drink.
Great for a lovely fresh nata & coffee.
Treasure in the middle of Cardiff. The coffees are delicious £2.50. The cream desserts various lemon, chocolate, normal. The cheese and ham puff pastry is fresh. Very rich and spongy pata de viado.
Cardiff Castle is just across the road.
I was planning on just having a quick meal of Francesinha, but the cake looked delicious, so I ordered it. First of all, the staff are really very friendly, and more than anything, the prices are really cheap. My friend and I ordered Francesinha Classic, a piece of cake, and 2 iced Americanos, and I think it came to about 18 pounds. Although it is cheap, it is also delicious! I recommend it
Natas are delicious and the espresso is solid!
Excellent desserts, friendly staff and above all EXCELLENT ESPRESSO COFFEE.. Just ask for RISTRETTO. The first good coffee I've had in Cardiff so far
A very good Portuguese cafe with the option of eating something hot. Delicious cakes, pastel de nata cookies and coffee.
Excellent prices and great quality in their products. You will not regret trying the cakes at this place. It is a nice place and the service is friendly.
Nice coffee, great homemade pastries and a cozy atmosphere. Have something to eat here before visiting Cardiff Castle. That's also possible afterwards. A bit of Portugal in Cardiff.
I'm Portuguese and I've tried many "Portuguese" pastry shops around the world and I can say that this was the best, by far!
Typical Portuguese friendliness and a pleasant atmosphere.
I highly recommend it!
One day I still want to visit this wonderful city, bakery and football stadium.
It is the best cafe in Cardiff. The waiters very nice and helpful. Tasty food and reasonable prices. I hope you stay in Cardiff for many years!
Will stand by my belief that Nata does the best coffee in Cardiff always, and they always have a brill selection of pastries and cakes on display too. However the food never tastes super fresh as it's been waiting out for a while (usually) + I've never been to Nata without having my order messed up. I suppose that is part of its charm though. 😺
I loved eating well, it has good cakes
The egg tart is hard on the outside and soft on the inside. The crust and custard sauce are perfectly combined. The taste is on the sweet side, suitable for those who like sweets. If you find it too sweet, it is recommended to taste it with other drinks.
(Translated) Top savory! Croquettes my top 5! 👌
(Original)
Salgados top! Croquetes o meu top 5! 👌
Nice place and a big portion of cake for a reasonable price.. sometimes it's a bit crowded
Lovely Portuguese custard tarts sold here and very good flavour. A bit expensive at £1.40 each but we had to get some. They are so yum. Shop is fairly busy and is located opposite Cardiff Castle. Really good customer service and very friendly staff.
Many other flavours available.
Stopped in here for a quick snack and drink, seemed nice enough 😊
Delicious food, great staff, prices and location.
So so sooooo good! Stunning savouries, huge desert portions, amazing price, really lovely staff. Can't go wrong!
Always great food and even better service. Thanks guys.
Love this place so much! Both the sweet and savoury options are delicious, and a big favourite.
Tasty and very friendly staff, very much recommended!
Cozy place for afternoon tea! Custard tarts are only 1.5 quid for each.
Grown to be my favourite coffee shop. Love the pastries
Nice food and cakes, friendly staff
Tastes great! If you're taking them home, pop them in the oven for 5 minutes to get them nice and crispy. Enjoy!
Love this place. Friendly staff and good value snacks. Gorgeous Portuguese tarts
Beautiful chai latte and custard tart comfy chairs lush staff
Very friendly staff, great food
Wonderful cakes and pastries. Great service
Always wonderful, delicious and with the best treatment! I love this place
Wonderful taste experience!
Verry nice people as well!
Amazing service, a treasured gem in Cardiff
I love this place, great coffee and I love the chorizo rolls..
Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast
Typical delicious cakes from Portugal. Highly recommended
Staff friendly and professional. Got drinks, and smoothies are good. The pastries didn't seem fresh, a bit disappointing.
Lovely coffee and cake. Staff friendly and helpful
Always a delight. And when I miss Portugal I go and have a little taste of it at Nata & Co. Could do with a shop in Bridgend area/Cowbridge. It would be a storm. . .
Very friendly staff, good food. Recently changed their menu which decreased the quality of food, I should not have to pay extra to get ham or cheese in a prego, it should be included. Quality of food is just not the same
Being Brazilian its the only place I can get Antarctica guarana (its by far the best Brazilian drink out there) and pao de queijo. However keep in mind the esfiha and the coxinha do NOT taste like they should, this does not subtract them a star as I would imagine its a source of the ingredients that you can not get from brazil and are using more local ones. The pastel de nata are amazing and should always be a choice that you pick when visiting (along with the pao de queijo and guarana)
Lovely place good service delish snacks
Tasty food reasonably priced a d terrific customer service. Right next to a castle. Pretty cool.
Portuguese bakery. Lovely staff. I had Original Nata and Peanut Butter Nata (egg custard tarts)
Friendly staff, great coffee and tasty snacks. Well worth a visit
Love this place I personally think the best cake is the caramel. The staff is so sweet and friendly .Nata is one of my favourite bakerys in Cardiff
Everything we had was delicious. New favourite for when we are on Queen Street 🙂
Good party and cake selection, very nice staff! Absolutely recommend! Wish there was one near me!
Nice little Portugese coffee shop that does nice toasted sandwiches and various pastries.
Lovely place. Friendly staff. If they didnt use single use plastic cups I'd give it 5/5.
Good place, good price.
Very friendly staff, food is delicious and much better value than other cafes in the city centre.
You have to go just to try the Nata (Portuguese custard tarts). Also a great place for coffee and a sandwhich for lunch
Everything was delicious! Friendly staff, nice relaxed atmosphere and kid friendly :)
The staff is absolutely lovely and their service is impeccable. The coffee is perfect and the food is the as good as you would find in Portugal. They are proud of their offer and they have every reason to.
Super quality food. I'm a food lover and I can tell you, you must try the chicken with vegetables quiche.
Lovely coffee friendly staff and customers Ideal place while waiting for my bus cosy
Lovely place, very nice food and good hospitality. Good prices, recommended!
Cute little café! Service was super quick and the natas were super good. Little things could be refined, plates were a little tatty (the design was worn off), tables weren't cleared very quickly etc. But overall, a lovely café, can't wait to come back
Sweet and tasty:)
Great food and service
Best place in Cardiff. Wonderful coffee (I am Italian, I can say it) and amazing food for the right price.
Really nice to find a Portuguese lady working at a Portuguese restaurant/cafe. Delicious Portuguese soup! Definitely recommend!
Great coffee and Pastel de Nata that is just as good as what I've tried in Portugal. A nice spot to go to after a visit to the castle.
Fantastic home cooked food, sweet and savoury. A real gem in the heart of Cardiff. Right opposite the Castle. A great place for coffee and a tasty treat. You won't be disappointed.
Great place, real Portuguese tasty food. Went to Portugal on holiday recently and it reminded me of the lovely cafes in Portugal. The guys were friendly and welcoming. obrigado nata and co!!
Super friendly and helpful staff. Lovely atmosphere in front of the Castle, and great desserts!! The Nata is an old favourite. Tried their oreo milkshake this time round and it was very delicious. Great for sweet treats!
Lovely service, coffee decent strength.
Based on the baked goods alone, I think they're overrated for the prices. The custard tarts are very good but for two bites at £1.40, a luxury. The apple pastry was oily yet dry and lacking the filling so nothing special at all for the price. The bread is reasonably good but doughy. Never had any drinks there mind you. Great staff on the upside.u
Once you try a Nata & Co bacon sandwich, all other bacon sandwiches will just seem subpar. Great place to eat!
If you like portuguese cakes this is the place.
Wonderful coffee and you must try the pastel de nata. Friendly staff and interesting menu. Highly recommend when in Cardiff,, we stayed in Swansea and came here especially on way home. 10/10
Superb food, reasonably priced. Service exceptional. Shame about the single use plastics for water glasses.
Authentic, and freshly prepared, Portuguese coffees and treats in a comfortable venue with friendly staff. Certainly a place I will be visiting again!
My husband has just been to Cardiff for work and has brought us back some delicious pasteis de nata! He was very impressed Obrigado
Good coffee, lots of seating and space for a buggy. The cake I had was very tasty (like a custart slice)
Great food and caffe also good service.
My pastel de nata was delicious and reasonably priced. It took great self control on my part to not go back to the counter and purchase several more! :-).
The dessert here are so delicious 😋. I was full and still could eat the cake. They have some drinks that I see for the first time in cardiff. And the guys there speaks Portuguese, so yeah.
Fantastic food, make sure you try their tostas!
Great local business. Love a Nata with a flat white!
Intimate little coffee shop, which also sells pastries. Great tasting coffee and friendly service.
Really good environment.💗💗
Eu muito gosto bifana but I can get one for quatros euros em Algarve. Coffee was nice and food looked good but pricey
Very quiet and tidy place friendly service with a smile good seating areas inside and out and it has two exits t capital center and queen street
Amazing coffee cake and the pineapple-papaya smoothie was great too
Amazing food at great price.
Banging custard tarts. If you're craving natas then this is the place. They do a bunch of other great cakes and food too.
Smooth coffee and sweet custard pastries, the bread and toasted things look good too.
Authentic Portuguese menu. One of the best bakeries in Cardiff. Food and Staff were excellent.
The custard tarts/cakes are amazing. Friendly staff also.
The best place in cardiff for home made delicious cakes.
What a fantastic little place!!! Great coffee
The custard tarts are amazing
Coffee was disappointing this morning, they have swapped out the Portuguese ground coffe to a capsule machine, not as strong or tasty as the usual stuff :(
Hoping this is a temporary problem, as it's difficult to find a stronger roasted coffee in cardiff :(
Nice place for a coffee and a nice delicious cake. The toilet needs a handle thought. I was stuck in the toilet unable to open the door. I managed in the end.
Stopped by for breakfast : the bacon roll was amazing, stuffed full of bacon! Ham and cheese pastry also very good, and with two hot drinks was still less than £10!
Great Portuguese cafe. Lovely pastel del Nata. Took us back to our time in Lisbon. Lots of little cakes. We had chicken quiche which was delicious
This place is a very short walk from Cardiff Castle and the Natas were delicious. The café was clean and warm with plenty of seating, good coffee and clean toilets.
a wonderful taste of Portugal in Wales. Accompanying the delicious cakes is that wonderful distinctive coffee which we need more of in UK. Will be back but please please consider Bristol for your next store. Obrigado ~
Friendly staff, coffee is great and the bakeries are to die for!!
Amazing people and service. Couldnt be more helpful. Delicious custard tarts and coffee
Friendly Staff, very good food
Friendly, easy, good coffee, snacks and pastries.
They have the best pastries in town
What a tremendous place. Why haven't I been in before!!
Friendly staff. First ever visit. Nice coffee and Portuguese Custard Tart. Will visit again as not too crowded, and they have a range of cakes and some bread also.
