Beautiful cake made at very short notice with Gluten free ingredients. My wife was thrilled as gluten free products are hard to find. Tasted as good if not better than it looks!!

Absolutely amazing! After we were let down last minute by another baker Sweet Sugar managed to whip up an absolutely incredibly cake at short notice and saved the party! I needed a retirement cake at short notice and this place came up trumps. I turned up to be greeted by an enormous square work of art with a photo on top that I had sent. Full of chocolately loveliness from the Layers of moist, light sponge and delicious filling. Truly yummy. I will be back there again - just need to think of an excuse to order a cake ❤️

A wedding is an enormous part of our lives and we just want it to be perfect right? Well, I can proudly say that Sweet sugar had my back and I could rely on them to make me a cake that words cannot describe... and they did!! They took the stress away and made me a gorgeous, delicious, gob smacking and extraordinary cake that ended up in nearly all my photos! They took the stress away and delivered me a fresh and large wedding cake that achieved a million compliments and that i will never forget! I have been going to Sweet sugar for almost 3 years to purchase the most gob-smacking, beautiful and unbelievably delicious cakes for every occasion! I recently went to buy a red velvet cake for my daughter, and not only was it beautiful, it was the best red velvet cake I ever purchased and probably the best in Cardiff (Sweet Sugar is in the top 3 best bakeries in Cardiff may I add) You should definitely purchase his award winning red velvet cake for any occasion to enjoy with friends and family, I can assure you they will be pleased with the most enjoyable red velvet cake.

Sweet Sugar is my favourite bakery ever and the first time I went I was extremely happy with all the facilities, not only did they serve everything like food, sweets, hot & cold drinks, cakes for any occasion, smoothies, ice cream, seating area and takeaway. They had some very nice terms, when ordering a cake, they are polite, and they also offer you a very large variety of sizes and tiers to choose from. They do everything to suit you best and make you pleased and walking out with the biggest smile on your face. They give you all the options and only need one day notice for a complicated cake (which they make without a doubt) because all the cakes are fresh and made on the day, which is mind blowing. But my favourite part is when they sell you a personalised cake, they mean it, you can add an edible photo in colour at any size and I get so many compliments and questions on where I purchase my cakes from... SWEET SUGAR!!

I recently ordered a personalised birthday cake from here for you partner, I searched and everywhere was saying it would take 4/5 days to make. I tried Sweet Sugar and they made it the same day I ordered it. It was a one tier 8 person cake and not only did it look beautiful. It was delicious, I was worried that I would have to settle for one or the other. But I got both and I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Perfect cake for my new JOB When looking for a cake to celebrate my new JOB with ten guests, I came across Sweet Sugar city road. I reached out for some information and Adel responded right away and answered my questions. The ordering process could not have been easier, and the cake was delivered to our house where we would be cutting it. The cake was beautiful. As far as the taste, we LOVED it. We ordered the dark chocolate cake with hazelnut and coffee cream filling. We couldn’t finish the whole cake in the same day so we saved the rest of the cake for the 3 days in the freezer, Not only did I enjoy it on my employment day but I enjoyed it even more when I took a slice out of the freezer. it freezes well and defrosts easily on the table. Thank you, Sweet Sugar, for our beautiful, delicious and affordable cake, I will be ordering another one when this is gone!!

“Thank you Adel and staff of Sweet Sugar bakery for making this amazing vegan cake for my husbands 40th birthday” 06-09-2019 we had a very special party and although on a budget we opted for a real vegan cake from a non-box store. Sweet Sugar and they were so easy to work with. The cake was moist, the chocolate vegan cream was yummy, they replicated the design on the top perfectly, it looked awesome, and tasted wonderful. Sweet Sugar cupcakes are the fluffiest cupcakes EVER! They do it better than anyone in Cardiff or Bristol. Their frosting is so fluffy, it melts in your mouth. The other cupcakes. I totally recommend Sweet Sugar in City Road for everything but me and my family especially love and enjoy one rare cake to find in Cardiff that Sweet Sugar has to offer. Although all the cakes are amazing he serves a beautiful and mouth watering pistachio cake! it is gorgeous and delicious and lives up to all the expectations! Next time you go, you should purchase his homemade recipe for the pistachio cakes.

Amazing cake for a great price To be honest, I wasn't planning on having cake at my reception originally, as our caterer included a dessert parade as part of their dinner package. However, we decided on having a cake to cut, so I started looking for a cake shop on line... and let me just say, Sweet Sugar Cardiff prices are ridiculous. I eventually decided on Sweet Sugar Cake and another vendor to taste, and despite being about half the price of the other vendor, Sweet Sugar Cake's was much better, lighter cake. the cake was just as good as it was during the tasting (we got the red velvet with buttercream), with our guests telling us it was the best wedding cake they'd had. Adel and Amira from Sweet Sugar Cake was also very easy to work with and responsive. I'd highly recommend working with Sweet Sugar Cake Cardiff.

When looking through your beautiful book of cake designs I knew which cake my daughter would choose, she chose your simplest most elegant cake, I thought. Looked all over cardiff for something small to take for dinner with me to see boyfriend's parents (instead of the usual bottle of wine). Of 5 bakeries in the area; this was the only place that had something suitable- a suitably sized ready made cake for £12 which was very nicely decorated and tasted great. Would recommend- I'll be bringing another one from here soon! They have ready made cakes or you can order.

Wonderful friendly service. The traditional Egyptian breakfast was a delicious new thing to try with my family, and the afternoon tea was very nice. I've had their baklava a few times and always been pleased. Definitely recommend.

Delicious, delightful, and very close to Cardiff City center If I lived in Cardiff, I would want to come here everyday. Three of us had lunch, tea and cake, and each item was extraordinary, including the cream cake with hibiscus. Crowded with excellent service. The teas are all loose leaf with proper brewing. Clearly they care about what they are doing, and it comes through in every bite . And once you are contented by your Cake Shop lunch or snack, you can walk a few minutes to Cardiff Queen Street. Not to be missed.

I was looking for a new place to eat with my vegan girlfriend in Cardiff, and luckily I found Sweet sugar! Sweet sugar has the best service and impressed me with lovely dishes which include vegan and non vegan dishes, vegan Egyptian sweets, which were amazing, cakes which DO NOT contain milk or eggs and a extremely wide range of classical and extraordinary brews and drinks. All the cakes were vegan and absolutely outstanding! We also tried some of their Egyptian dishes which include kushari (that we will definetley be buying again). It is quite hard to find a great place in Cardiff for me and my girlfriend that we want to come to again and recomend (especially because she is vegan) but sweet sugar is perfect!!

Needed a bespoke emoji chocolate cake for my 11 year olds’ birthday party and Sweet Sugar was recommended. The cake provided was amazing and exactly what 11 year old girls want (chocolate, vermicelli icing, decorated with party rings and more chocolate). The emoji on the cake was also spot on and topped off with a personalised message for my daughter. There were gasps when the cake came out of the box! Excellent cake, superb service, good value and lovely people.
