I was in the area and needed a loaf of bread and decided to call here because there was a queue out of the door. Thank God I did! I am a bread enthusiast and found a beautiful and varied selection of rolls and loaves with various additions and toppings. I followed my hungry eyes and settled on a lovely brown loaf which had onions in it....which the kind assistant let me smell, which had a divine aroma, and a sesame loaf because I love sesame. Both loaves were so fresh and tasty, the sesame being more dense and chewy. The bread certainly is like old fashioned homemade bread but with a Polish twist. It keeps very well indeed and I can't wait to try more styles. Perusing the chilled counter of baked goods was even more torturous than choosing the bread as there was a great range. I bought 3 pizza style breads; the cheese and tomato was lovely and crisp, the chicken and vegetable a bit heavier with a bit of a spicy kick, and well topped, but the mushroom and onion crown was the best savoury bake I ever had anywhere. The bakes would easily serve 2 or more as they are very filling and less than £1.50 each. I have a new addiction and am sure I would be the size of a jumbo jet (not quite yet!) if I lived nearer to the bakery. And I have not got to their desserts yet..! I eyed up the cakes like a gannet and finally settled on a chocolate gateau (I didn't pick it up..what a fool!), a fruit tart, a baked cream filled fancy whirl and 5 mini cakes filled with custard. I didn't get to try the cakes except for a mini custard as my pals waged war with me and munched the lot..greedy sods, lol! I served all the food as part of tea on Sunday and by the empty plates and heaving tummies topped off with big smiles, I think it safe to say POLISH G&K BAKERY is a WINNER! My mini custard was simply divine. Listen up Marks & Spencer .. they are WAY better than you! Thank you my Polish chef friend. Yummy! See you soon x

(Translated) Good service always friendly. Prices range from £1.30 for breads and £0.30 for buns. Selection of different baked goods such as crumbled snails or sandwiches. Drinks and other goods such as breadcrumbs are also offered in smaller quantities. Store makes a clean and well-kept impression. Unfortunately no focus on possible English customers, as only signs in Polish are excellent. But Facebook available and also bilingual. I can warmly recommend Topladen. (Original) Gute Bedienung immer freundlich. Preise belaufen sich von £1.30 für Brote und £0.30 für Brötchen. Auswahl an verschiedenen Backwaren vorhanden wie z.b Streuselschnecke oder Belegte Brötchen. Getränke und andere Waren wie z.b Paniermehl werden auch im kleineren Maße angeboten. Laden macht einen sauberen und gepflegten Eindruck. Leider keine Ausrichtung auf eventuelle Englische Kundschaft, da nur Schilder auf Polnisch ausgezeichnet sind. Dafür Facebook vorhanden und auch zweisprachig geführt. Top laden kann ich wärmstens empfehlen.
