We ordered our wedding cake with 3D Cakes and it was delicious - highly recommend. We had ordered with a voucher so had to choose from a set of designs, but 3D Cakes were very accommodating in making some small changes to the design to go with our theme. There was so many flavours to choose from and the three flavours we ended up selecting were delicious. The cake was moist and not sickly at all. The team offered good advice on the type of cake we were looking for and I wouldn’t hesitate to order through them again for another event. Thank you for making our wedding cake!

Had bought vouchers that had to get extended due to lockdown, and yet when we managed to go ahead with a belated reception, they were able to make and deliver my cake at short notice. Absolutely fantastic! I always buy speciality cakes from here, but this this month I attended cake and cupcake masterclass course. Not only did I learn how to create the most spectacular fashion gladiator shoe cake I've ever seen but also had a lot of fun at the course - David and Editha were absolutely great, welcoming, very friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone was so impressed with the cake afterwards that it was a shame to eat it! I cannot wait to come back again for another masterclass. Thank you 3D cakes!!!

We chose 3D Cakes to produce a very special anniversary cake, celebrating 325 years of the Mary Erskine School, one of the oldest girls schools still in existence. They took our ship emblem from our school logo and created the most amazing structure from cake for our start of term celebrations! Having seen, as well as tasted some of their excellent work in the past, through my work in the Events Industry I decided to order a cake, from 3D Cakes for my 60th birthday party. The whole process of ordering as well as sorting out the design and detail was trouble free and I could not have been more pleased with the result (See attached image) as well as the service that I received from Ian, the store manager and the rest of his staff. The cake, which was vegan exceeded my expectations, looked amazing and tasted absolutely delicious and made my special day complete ! I'm a firm believer in the mantra that you get what you pay for and, to my mind 3D Cakes, and the service that I received from them were well worth every penny that I paid for it.

It's amazing!! Well done 3D Cakes.The cake was made beautifully with details of my son's real VW T25 1982 Camper van. It was a big surprise at my son's birthday celebration and he really liked it as well as everyone. From my experience of seeking cake for my son last month, 3D cakes has a good customers communication management. David and Ian were very reliable, friendly and professionally helpful. They use phones and reply emails effectively! Highly recommended if anyone likes a cake that has a wow effect and good customer communication! We ordered a graduation cake for my daughters graduation from Edinburgh university; I sent Mr Ian (store manager) some pictures of my daughter & her likes (this being sausage dogs, skulls, all things Japanese, animi characters) The finished product was amazing, the attention to detail was phenomenal, right down to a girly figure sitting on the cake which held an uncanny likeness to my daughter. The sponge was completed in rainbow colours with the icing & decoration being perfect. After my daughters actual graduation we went for supper, & when it was time for desert the cake was brought out, my daughters reaction was priceless, with total strangers & American tourists stopping by our table to take pictures & ask questions! I'd most definitely recommend 3D Cakes Edinburgh to anyone wishing to make that impact with a 'wow' factor. The company contacted us prior to our wedding to confirm the details . We saw the cake arrive at the venue the night before the wedding as we dropped things off . It was beautiful exactly what we expected like the photo we chose it from . However, more impressive even than their baking skills; is their complete attention to detail and their strive to ensure that the cakes they provide are perfect for their clients. Due to the location of the wedding, the cake was delivered and the delivery person from 3D Cakes was concerned about the flowers not being completely perfect by the time it got to the big day. Absolutely amazing service from beginning to end!! We have a cake made into our pet collie forres. We decided to give this to our 12 year old son for his birthday. He was absolutely thrilled. The cake flavour, image and dietary requirements were all done over the phone, they were very friendly and professional. We agreed the date for the cake to be delivered which was our sons birthday. The cake was delivered in a safe and contact free manner. All family members and the birthday boy all enjoyed the cake, it was very flavoursome, the cake was soft, light and everything you would want in a cake. 3D cakes supplied our wedding cake. I'm rating it as "good" only as although the cake looked good and tasted good, it wasn't what we ordered. We had ordered a cake with fresh rose petals - the one that came had the petals made out of sugar - and one of the layers was the wrong flavour. I emailed 3D cakes to tell them about this afterwards, and got no response whatsoever. This, I think, is very unprofessional if not rude. The service up to the wedding was fine, though not especially attentive - I think they are pretty busy, what with the Vows awards. For the price, I think you could get better service elsewhere, and hopefully no mistakes - or at least an acknowledgement when a mistake is made! I recently ordered a birthday cake for my father from another Edinburgh cake shop and will certainly recommend them to all my friends over 3D cakes. However, as I said before, the look and taste of the cake I received for my wedding was very good... just not what I ordered.

Our thanks to 3D Cakes for the wonderful "Blues Brothers" themed cake they provided for Sue and me at our wedding. The cake looked absolutely stunning in the reception room. The specially designed cake toppers were incredible and both the sponge and fruit cake tiers tasted delicious! I cant thank 3D cakes enough for the wedding cake they made for us. We met them a year before the wedding to sample the 6 cake flavours and design the cake. We were so impressed with their skill. They hand drew the design talking through every aspect of the cake and including a great deal of detail. And also provided us with fantastic ideas for the cake if we were a bit unsure. Of course, it was hard to choose a flavour but we finally narrowed it down to three flavours of sponge, a different flavour for each tier. So on the day of our wedding we managed to grab a sneak peak before the ceremony and we were so amazed it just looked goregous. Our guests loved it! They will talk about the flavours and every one of them have commented on which flavour was their favourite. I really cant wait for the next special occasion that we need a cake as I will most certainly be phoning up 3D cakes. Thank you so much!! Fay and Iain

Despite only communication phone by phone and email, the surprise cake for my wedding turned out perfectly. The idea that I gave was transformed into a far better creation than I ever imagined. The look of surprise and wonder on my wife's face was worth every penny when our cake was presented to her. Bought a wedding cake from a deal I saw on Wowcher for 3D. We personalised the cake quite a lot with added extras, very reasonable for cost I thought too. Dan and I had so many compliments about how yummy the chocolate layer was! Which I didn’t even get a piece. The vanilla cake I did taste was delicious and was so moist. Following a really catastrophic let down by another cake provider where I didn't get my wedding cake I was nervous about ordering my sons 18th birthday cake from anyone. Wow! This was the second time we used 3d cakes in a couple of months and continue to be thrilled every time we use them. We were absolutely delighted with the most recent cake made and designed by 3d cakes. Wizard of Oz was the theme but the cake also had many personal touches to it such as my daughter's pets, herself and the attention to detail was second to none. The witch crashing into the cake wall added a hilarious touch. The colours were magical and the red velvet flavoured sponge was delicious. Purchased my wedding cake from 3d cakes using the 24hour offer well over a year ago. Had absolutely no issues with communication, especially through facebook. They always got back to me quickly. I paid extra to customise my design to allow for my personal cake topper to sit on top. They had no issues with this at all and when I say I paid extra, the cost was minimal and 100% reasonable. Got so many compliments on my cake and it was delivered and set up with no issues at all. Never felt the need to chase them up in the days running up to the wedding, I knew they would deliver. Given the prices some cake makers quoted me for wedding cakes (4 large tiers that I was looking for) this deal was too good to pass up and I'm relieved I bought it when I did. Was less than half the price of my cheapest quote from somewhere else. Would 100% highly recommend.

Pretty straight forward experience for our wedding cake. I had bought a Groupon for a 90 portion 3 their iced wedding cake. I chose to pay for a teir to be dairy free and for delivery also which worked out at roughly £201 all in. They were so imaginative and were not afraid to take a risk, shown when they made a life size baby elephant balancing on a circus ball cake (yes really). This was a great deal - 12 cupcakes for £9 - and the voucher can be found most of the time in the usual places - amazon local, groupon etc. The cakes were beautiful to look at, came in a stylish presentation box (which amused the cat later) and were really tasty. Now I'm signed up to their emails I think there's a seriously good chance of me making future purchases from them! Note - there are 2 stores on Roseburn Terrace - the main shop at Number 20 and the other one a little further along for pickups.

I was disappointed with my cupcakes the stand was squint and they hadn't put much thought into decorating my cupcakes and the icing was crap!
