Excellent cafe just off a busy road. Lovely views of the castle. Very welcoming staff. The coffee and almond croissant was excellent! Really nice cafe that I'd love to visit again!

Quitely placed off the main road, this is a lovely little cafe serving great lunchtime food and drinks. I had the asparagus quiche with a flat white. The pastry on the quiche was crisp. The flat white was well made. And the owners were lovely. Yum yum, all done.

Was waiting for ages to be picked up around the corner from a salon when I realised there was a lovely little cafe behind me! The coffee was great, the croissant was tasty and fresh, the service was very warm and welcoming. It’s rare to find a spot like this where everything is perfect and no corners are cut. I don’t buy or support chain coffee so will definitely be back the next time I’m around, can’t wait to try one of the buns!

Lucy and Matt are running one of the best small cafes in Edinburgh! The coffee is great and the pastries are always inventive and delectable. If you're in the area you need to visit and try for yourself.

Such a friendly service and two lovely people who own and run the cafe. We felt very welcome and enjoyed the drinks on our final days in Edinburgh and will hopefully come back on the next trip away. Highly recommend.

Having spent a lot of time trying out different coffee places in Edinburgh- Gooseneck Café makes, without a doubt, the BEST espresso in Edinburgh. On top of that fact, it has such a friendly atmosphere.

Great coffee shop in the perfect location. They have a constantly changing coffee menu and they do a fantastic job brewing.
All of their food is made in store and delicious, especially the brownies. It's all visually appealing and tastes great.
You will always feel welcomed by the friendly team and that's why I can happily say they are in my top 5 coffee shops in Edinburgh

Delicious coffee and very friendly staff! It's a little gem tucked away in a busy area. Currently (Sept 2020) they offer takeaway only, but there's a bench outside the cafe to enjoy your drink on a sunny day.

Small, quaint coffee shop that's among the best in Edinburgh. Excellent selection and knowledge of frequently changing coffee, good pastries and food and most of all lovely staff who run it.
Plus, the location is just off the main areas but close enough to walk to for a cup. Highly recommended.

Fantastic cafe. I've had several excellent gluten free felafel sandwiches and brownies. The coffee is good too. The staff are lovely and always keen to help out, especially with dietary requirements. I've recommended it to several friends now.

We went here a few times during our visit to Edinburgh as it was close to our Airbnb . The coffee was excellent, the food was great and included some gluten free option. Above all, the owners were very friendly and welcoming. We will miss our morning ritual when we return home.

It astounds me that this excellent, friendly cafe isn’t busier. Don’t get me wrong, I love always being able to get a seat a a wee chat with the lovely folk who run it, but it seems a shame that insufficient people are experiencing their wonderful coffee and sublime cakes and pies.

Wonderful cafe with lovely coffee and some great food (the cheese scone is a fantastically flavoured snack). Staff were warm and welcoming and added to the places charm.

Lovely, cosy cafe in a fantastic location. Staff are helpful and polite and have good advice on things to see around the city centre. Great coffee and very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit
