Service was really nice but took a long time, but the restaurant was slammed which is understandable. Delicious food, nice range of choices, with craft drinks and sodas and fresh made ingredients. This restaurant is definitely a great spot for breakfast. It was refreshing to have a different menu than many other restaurants in the area with a healthier and lighter twist. I forgot to take photos of the food, but it was presented well and left me feeling satisfied but not stuffed

So good we came back two days in a row! This was an amazing brunch/ breakfast spot. Centrally located, with a modern feel and good covid measures to keep safe - check in, spacing of tables, staff in masks, one-way system. We queued up for our brunch at 11 on a December Saturday, and got a table within half an hour; well worth it, but I'd recommend booking ahead to save the wait in the cold 🥶 The next day we'd learned; we booked, and the whole thing felt much smoother. Love the food and the service, the atmosphere is great and the menu was so brilliant we had to come back for breakfast a second time to have another go at the "can't miss" menu items. Between us, over two days, we had: the Full Breakfast; the French toast with figs and walnuts; the Hoots Mon (Eggs Benn with a Scots twist) and the breakfast bap (great value!) Well worth a go!

Absolutely amazing! Food was so well made - mango pancakes are to die for! They have a really cosy atmosphere and service was excellent, nobody was rushed and attention to details were clear. 100% would go again.

We returned here after visiting for breakfast a year ago. Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, eggs Benedict with a hearty Scottish twist. The food was excellent and good value. Service was welcoming and friendly. The restaurant and kitchen are utterly spotless. Good to see places still COVID - conscious, whilst maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Glad we returned and we will come again.

Lovely brunch place; hip, modern, minimalist but cosy. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. The Power Bowls are a “must try”. I had pulled pork and kale which also had poached egg. Awesome low carb meal! Great flavours, good sized portion. Hoots Mon - haggis on muffins was great too. Whiskey hollandaise was a good touch! I’m not a haggis expert but the other half said, “better than the other day’s” which can only be a positive thing. The staff - attentive, friendly and just nice happy person and meaningful chit chat. Hygiene and cleanliness - good one way traffic flow, masks when not at table, well spaced seating. Overall two thumbs up.

What a lovely place! REALLY spacious with so much seating. Good location close to Waverley station and the Royal Mile/Canongate/Holyrood. Food was delicious and staff were friendly. Very professional atmosphere and high quality service. Would return!

A very tasty breakfast at Loudens New Waverly. It is a very spacious dining experience, with good Covid protocols (dedicated entrance and exist). The service is very good, all very polite and helpful. The food was tasty, a good french toast with quality bacon and maple syrup. The candied pecans were a great addition. I enjoyed the option of the single estate guest bean for any coffee drink, highly recommended. I look forward to visiting again to sample more of the menu!

Superfood spinach and chilli pancake stack with carrot and harissa hummus. Absolutely stunningly good. Light, fresh pancakes. Tasty hummus with creme fresh and leaves. Lovely oolong tea too and FIRST CLASS, friendly service. Not cheap, but so worth it. A perfect 10.

A lovely place for brunch or lunch! The food is delicious and we were promptly served. It was quite hard to get a hold of the waiters however, maybe due to the fact that the venue is so big they practically never some past you if you are in a corner like we were. But lovely staff and good food!

Very nice brunch place, I had a "Bennys" with goats cheese, beetroot and poached eggs which was delicious. The place is quite big and open, so if you're looking for a dainty, quirky cafe this is not it, but still very good food and coffee. Staff also very friendly.

Absolutely loved having breakfast at Loudons Waverly on a rainy Friday morning. The breakfast menu items we ordered were delicious. Would 100% recommend the coconut & banana pancakes and the Feta/Avocado smash. Both were excellently cooked. Their chai latte and Loudons cold brew was also great ! On a separate note, the hostess is amazing, very friendly and polite. On top of all of the COVID related regulations and making sure they’re enforced! Was thoroughly impressed! 👏🏻 This is a must visit place if you’re in the area.

We ordered the vegan and veggie breakfast and I have to say I think the vegan breakfast was the best breakfast I had in my life! Everything on the plate was just so good and the freshly squeezed orange juice was gorgeous. The lady that served us was also very very lovely.

I come here often and my favourite is Superfood Pancakes! It is Devine every time! I asked for a variation to serve it with hummus instead of creme fraiche and they were happy to accommodate. My friend ordered a superfood bowl which she found a bit bland but hey, she is Italian and has high standards in food 🤣 I love the food here most of the time, it’s a bit pricey but overall a great brunch place.

Possibly my favourite place for brunch in Edinburgh (along with its other venue in Fountainbridge), Loudons makes breakfasts very well indeed. They have all sorts to choose from (savoury and sweet) but I love their Bennys, their wide selection of poached eggs served with lots of delicious stuff. Two firm favourites are the salmon and spinach ones with turmeric sauce; and the ones with haggis, caramelized onion and sweet chilly sauce. They are the best way to start the day.

Have noticed a few negative reviews on here, but from my visit I only positives to say about my experience here. Food was good and was served fairly quickly. They have lots of different options and cater for most allergies / diets etc. We had ordered cocktails and we were served them bang on 11am - which is when they're license allows them to. Would definitely go back again.

Very large space, good for big portions and to escape the cold. Lacks some character that other restaurants have in Edinburgh, but food was delicious and staff were friendly. Great place for people wishing to eat Gluten Free and have a wide choice of options. The staff is friendly, the dinning area is clean and quite, and the food is good. We took one set of visitors there and have now taken the second group to this location and plan on taking the third group of visitors there when they arrive.

We were a group of 7 at the end of service. (The worst kind of group) and they were lovely. They close at three and kindly told the two of us but most of my party turned up at half two. They served us with complete hospitality despite this, a few menu items were missing but we all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Not cheap but worth it for a beautiful brunch or lunch. Make sure to book!

I've been to Loudons at Waverley a few times now. It is so handy from the train station. I went there with 5 other friends and our 6 prams and they were so unbelievably accommodating and friendly to us. The food was fab and we had an amazing time. Thanks so much guys!

I went here for brunch with my partner and our friend and unfortunately we were quite disappointed. The place had been really hyped up to us so we were really excited but our visit fell flat. Firstly, the main positive of the visit was that the staff were all very friendly and attentive. We also had good drinks and coffee. It also has a good amount of vegetarian/vegan/glutem free options. However, all of us were disappointed with our food and all left quite considerable amounts. The food seemed off to us all - I'm not sure if this was because it was a Sunday and the food from the start of the week is used up, but my pancakes were stale and I also noticed green on it. My partner's bread also tasted stale. Finally, the place is really overpriced - we all paid £11/12 for really small portions that would not have been of good value even on a good day (I got two tiny pancakes for £11). Maybe it was just an off day since I have heard really good things but sadly all of us said we would not go here again.

There was a selection of tasty stuff on the veggie breakfast, and good quality hollandaise sauce on the benny. Interesting experience as the fire alarm went off meaning we had to evacuate while we were eating. However staff handled this well - while we were outside they checked if we needed to leave soon and since we didn't they offered to remake our food in full (we ended up asking for part since we'd already eaten some) and provide fresh drinks so no hard feelings there.

They do have lots of brunch and lunch options too and high tea also. I believe this was the best choice. First of all the warm welcome by the staff, the way he greeted every person in queue and maintained high standard of social distancing was awesome. He not only walked us to our table but also advised the iternary we can follow for our trip. The guy who took the order was so humble and polite in helping us out choosing our Vegetarian options. We ordered one sandwich, one burger and one tea and everything was made so fresh with High quality ingredients and wow what a presentation. Finally, we had a beautiful exit and that time also a lady greeted us. This is my must go to place everytime I will visit Edinburgh.

Highly recommend Loudons! Went for breakfast with my boyfriend and we were very satisfied after our meal. Portions were a generous size and had nice big pots of tea each. The space itself was spacious, bright and clean. All the staff were super kind and thank you to Charles who served us-he was really sweet! First meal out post lockdown. It was a five star experience from me. I love this place anyway but they have so much space between the tables that you really feel safe and secure while dining through the COVID-19 restrictions. They also have hand sanitiser ready to use which is really handy for use before you begin to eat. The food is superb, staff are great and the spacious interior creates a perfect place to go especially if you are worried about social distancing requirements. Highly recommend coming here and eating yummy food from friendly staff.

SUPERB VEGITARIAN BREAKFAST AND GREAT FRENCH TOAST Was able to grab a table for 2 at around 11am on a Sunday Morning. It was quite busy when we got there but still a few tables available. The full English vegitarian breakfast was really good. Everything by itself was quite tasty and it all worked well together. The french toast was surprisingly good as well. Didn't think I would enjoy such a combination of Sliced Banana, Strawberry & Raspberry Compote, Chocolate Sauce and Granola but it worked quite well! Will come again to try more things!

This place is lovely and lively even before sunrise. The staff was thoughtful and attentive. I ordered the Superfood Pancakes which were bomb AF (I'm from Los Angeles, BTW). When I said no tomato, the waitress inquired if it was allergy related and asked if I'd like to sub it with grilled veggies. The young man who refilled my coffee was also great. The wifi was good and I will probably come back tomorrow!
