G.The process of ordering a wedding cake from Rosewood is so easy, Edwina is lovely and goes to great lengths to fully grasp the idea(s) you have in mind and is ready with advice and guidance to make sure you get what you want! Our cake went from a huge 150-200 portions down to 30 thanks to Covid! Edwina and co however made our little cake just as beautiful and show stopping as the big one would have been whist tailoring it to the smaller more intimate wedding that was now taking place. The big thing of Rosewood cakes is that aside from being beautiful they are DELICIOUS! If you are in the market for a wedding cake you must give Rosewood a try!

D.We unfortunately lost our original cake designer due a change in personal circumstances, I messaged Edwina and Chris as an off chance to see if they coulda squeeze us in, and woohoo they said yes! Absolutely loved our cake! Gluten free for my amazing mumma bear the bottom tier was, and you couldn’t tell if it was, it was sooo yummy! Just like a normal lemon drizzle cake. The other two tiers were amazing strawberry n champagne, and coconut and lime … both delish! We had so much cake we split it amongst guests who couldn’t come. Both brides were absolutely delighted with their cakes and Edwina’s idea of creating a cake table to include cake pops, macarons and cup cakes as well as the actual wedding cake was excellent and went down very well with the wedding parties and their guests. Following an enquiry on their website Edwina responded quickly and was super helpful, had good guidance and was able to accommodate my suggestions - the resulting cake looked amazing, with my sister in law stating that it was the most beautiful cake she has ever seen! She said they could do that no problem. We then chose our style, flavour and decoration for the cake. We chose the Chocolate sponge with orange curd, vanilla buttercream and chocolate orange chunks - HEAVEN on a plate. The day before we picked the cake up, I made a last minute request for any cupcakes (GF) as we had planned a small afternoon tea as well for the birthday girl. Edwina said she could do some Toffee cupcakes. SO, the result - WE received a beautifully presented cake and six amazing looking cupcakes.
The cake was exquisite. The texture was perfect and the taste WOW WEE. Literally one of the best looking and tasting GF cakes we have ever had - not kidding. My wife loved it. Everyone who had a piece made a point of letting us know how much they really enjoyed it.

We had a 3 tier naked cake with strawberry champagne, sticky toffee pudding and lemon blueberry. An absolute delight to work with and we will definitely order from them again!! 5 star company ⭐️
L. H.Edwina was amazing to work with! Neither I nor my now-husband live in Glasgow, so our cake consultation was all via phone and email. Despite not having a tasting or in-person consultation, our cake was the most amazing and delicious cake I've ever had!
I have coeliac disease, so we asked for a gluten free cake. Usually, gf cakes are relatively dry and dense and "just okay" in flavour. Often, you can easily tell it is gluten free because the texture is just off. Not so with our wedding cake! Each tier was absolutely delicious and perfectly made! Our guests commented that they couldn't tell it was GF at all! We also asked for some vegan cupcakes, and those were also a hit!
Everything was beautifully decorated and exactly as I had imagined. One guest thought it was a fake "display" cake, as it looked too perfect to be real! (They were quite happily proven wrong)
I would 110% recommend Rosewood Cakes for any event--wedding, birthday, or just because you want delicious cake.

I found them on Instagram having liked so many of their pictures I thought 100% they would be out of our price bracket. But how wrong I was!!! They sent us so many different options and considering we weren’t spending an awful lot just to feed 22 people they never scrimped or faltered on either the quality of the cake or the customer service. Being an award winning cake maker, I wasn't sure we would be able to book them, but Edwina emailed me shortly after my request and let me know she could squeeze us in. Edwina remained in constant contact with us throughout the whole process and helped us plan out exactly what we wanted in our wedding cake. Edwina is a genuinely kind person and made the whole process go smoothly and stress-free. I wanted a nature/rustic theme with a special request of my favourite bird, the eastern Bluebird (which was hand painted gorgeously). Our wedding only had 7 people, so we had a small cake. Other guests in the castle, along with castle staff, helped us eat the cake and everyone raved about how delicious and moist it tasted. My favourite flavored tier was the hazelnut and my husband's favourite was the strawberry prosecco. Highly recommended!

Each tier was a different flavour such as white chocolate and raspberry, salted caramel and so on, there are loads of flavours to choose from too. The service from booking to delivery was absolutely seamless, Edwina was so helpful, friendly and even suggested the design as she knew it would match perfectly with the venue. We had a very specific design in mind and Edwina was great at saying yes and advising us of the best options for flavours as we wanted the whole cake to be gluten free. Once we placed our order, communication was straightforward and efficient. We could not believe the actual result of cake though - Edwina managed to set it all up discreetly during our wedding breakfast and it was just stunning. R. D.From start to finish, I cannot fault Rosewood Cakes. Edwina and Chris have been fantastic through every step of the process. I originally saw pictures of Rosewood Cakes on facebook and couldn’t get out of my mind so crisp and elegant they looked. Despite getting married in Crail and Edwina being based in Glasgow, she was still happy to work with us. We booked our cake two years in advance and Edwina managed to perfectly create my vision even after all that time. 4 tiers of pearl lustre fading into peach and gold watercolour, with the top two tiers draped in exquisite lace icing. Finely crafted sugar roses complimented the top and third tier. We had so many compliments from guests that I didn’t want to cut it. It was so well built I didn’t have to worry and it survived sitting overnight in the venue in the hottest week of the year. The cake was stunning and also tasted phenomenal - so much so my guests scoffed the bottom two tiers and I only got one slice of each! Edwina and Chris have a fantastic way of combing flavours - we had four tiers each with different flavours and each one as delicious as the last. Lemon sponge with lemon curd, pistachio sponge with pistachio butter, chocolate sponge with sour cherry jam and a vanilla with salted caramel sponge. I would highly recommend Rosewood Cakes to anyone. They offer an incredibly professional, excellent value for money service and you are guaranteed to have a stunning, unique, one of a kind cake that your guests won’t forget.

It would have also been good to sample different flavours rather than the more standard ones on the menu to help us make a decision but the flavour that we went for didn’t disappoint and we got compliments on it.

We wanted our cake to look tall and elegant to tie in with our vintage and summer garden themed wedding. Edwina created a beautiful petal shaped base tier with a champagne shimmer icing, lace ribbon and applique effect with a gorgeous flower arrangement. Not only was the cake beautiful to look at, but it also tasted lush! W. T.From start to finish we had a great experience with Edwina. First contact was via a short phone call, we arranged to meet up to discuss our wedding cake and to do some cake tasting. Edwina gave us so many lovely flavours to choose from. By the time we chose a few flavours the cake went from 3 to 6 tiers. This was no problem for Edwina and she drew a rough sketch for us and it looked perfect.
When we saw the cake on our wedding day my husband and I were over the moon, it was a piece of art and highly exceeded our expectations.
Since then, we have ordered a cake for our dad's birthday and I will be ordering more cakes for special occasions.

Then when we had another wedding we knew we had to come back to Edwina. We came to her with a few small pieces of wedding decor and colours and she designed a stunning cake.
With lockdown and delays Edwina was so understanding and accommodating and when we finally had the wedding, the cake took our breath away! So different to the first wedding cake she did for us but her eye for detail and standard was just as high! Flavour was amazing if not even better!
Never for one second have we doubted or had any worries regarding either wedding cake. It was the easiest part of the whole wedding planning! From initial consultation, to flavours, to tweaks Edwina took everything in stride and answered all our questions and continued to keep in touch and keep us updated the entire time.
The flavours are so divine that we've even ordered individual cakes because we couldn't get enough!

Salted caramel sponge is a winner! Very descriptive information given regarding sizes etc, and also provided imagery showing the comparison between our options. Helpful with flavour suggestions and took our needs into account when we wanted to change slight things re flavourings and made helpful suggestions along the way. Design wise we happily gave over creative control as we had recently ordered a fathers day cupcake box and were thrilled with the quality. All of our guests commented on the appearance and taste of the cakes. We honestly cannot recommend Chris and Edwina strongly enough! Currently looking for more events and excuses to order cake....
L. D.Edwina recently made and delivered the most visually beautiful and delicious cupcakes for my daughter’s 21st birthday, which like so may others this year fell foul to lockdown restrictions.
Our flavours were chocolate fudge and toffee, which my daughter just loved, particularly the soft toffee centres piped into the toffee cakes. Both flavours of cake were lovely and moist, with the beautiful smell of toffee wafting out as soon as the box was opened. The toppings had a lovely personalised touch, with a lovely flavour too.
The ordering process was quick and easy. Edwina listened to my requests and made recommendations based on them. All in all, a very smooth and satisfactory experience. Many thanks Edwina!
A. L.We have just returned from our magical wedding in beautiful Scotland and had the most exquisite egg and nut free cake made by Edwina and her husband Chris. I was slightly apprehensive to try and find a cake supplier in Scotland that could provide a cake to suit my numerous allergy requirements especially given we live in Cornwall 600 miles away but Edwina was a delight to deal with from start to finish and was always so prompt and detailed in her replies to me. We also ordered the most beautiful hand painted wedding favour cookies to match the hand painted birds on our cake, which in turn matched our wedding flower colours! My husband and the other guests who don’t have any food allergies couldn’t tell that it wasn’t made from eggs. We really couldn’t of asked for a more beautiful cake, which also matched it’s beauty in how wonderful it tasted!

Ever since the first initial communication and meetings more than a year ago to the final design, Edwina met with us, listened and took every request in to ensure that our cake was exactly as we had imagined. Their flavour list was a pleasant surprise, it wasn't just your standard vanilla/chocolate options but some unique sponge/icing combinations that all sounded so good it made it hard to choose!
More importantly it was great prices for quality and we received swift responses to our emails each time we contacted them - usually same day replies or within 24hrs during my experience.
Would recommend and intend to use again.

If you’re like me and you prefer to support local small businesses I would definitely recommend Rosewood Wedding Cakes. They are passionate, creative and very easy to work with.
From the initial consultation to our face-to-face meeting we can tell that we will have a delicious and beautiful wedding cake. Edwina was knowledgable but also very brave and encouraging in terms of incorporating unusual flavours! I’m originally from the Philippines and my husband is Scottish and we got married in Scotland.. so it made sense to incorporate some of the Filipino flavours into the cake. However, I actually thought it would be too hard so I didn’t ask but Edwina was very excited about it and she actually encouraged me to do it!
In the end we had a delicious 3 tier cake! Everyone loved each respect layer of Ube, Toffee and lemon/elderflower gin cake.
Thanks again Rosewood cake for an impeccable service. We hope we will order again in the future for other life events but definitely you are highly recommended!

A. M.Rosewood Cakes made my mum's birthday cake recently, it was my first time using them and will certainly not be the last after the fabulous cake they designed for my mum. She was delighted with it and it tasted even better than it looked. I went for their Lemon Drizzle as it's her favourite and it was delightful. They incorporated everything I had asked for and the ordering process through instagram was so easy. We shared it will family and friends and to say it went down a treat would be an understatement. I will certainly be using them again in the future and I would 100% recommend to anyone who is looking for celebration cakes.

The cupcake tasting was just the start and was able to get all the family involved with selecting the flavours. What a decision to make, but then Edwina told us we could have different flavours for different tiers so then it had to be a 4 tier!
Edwina was wonderful when I mentioned anemones and sweet peas held sentimental value, it was no issue at all and they were stunning.
Our friends and families are still raving about the cake and we have our top tier snuck away in the freezer to bring out in a years time!
