My partner had a brownie stack made for my birthday last month & I can honestly say that it was the nicest brownies I have ever had! Perfectly made, not dry & not too moist, absolutely delicious 😋 I will definitely be returning to this little bakery in Churchdown & recommend others to go & visit too 👍🏼

Having tasted the cakes that Noushien creates we knew we would like her to create our wedding cake. Noushien not only took on board our requests but also provided advise and guidance on what would and wouldn't work meaning the end product was just perfect. The cake went down a real treat with our guests and what was left didn't last much longer after the day. Noushien also worked with another local company 'Longlevens Flowers' to help achieve the decoration we were after as well. We would 100% recommend Noushien for any occasion. Noush made our wedding cake, a dairy and nut free carrot cake. It was absolutely beautiful and everything we hoped for. It tasted superb, we had so many compliments about it and questions on who had made it. It was a perfectly moist inside and was just so delicious. The cake also travelled some distance to reach us and it was securely packaged for it's journey. Thanks again Noush for this wonderful cake.

Love this place! The portions are generous and the flavour is amazing, you can really taste the chocolate in the brownies. I always come away with twice the amount I wanted to get (to many options 😁). Noush and her staff are always friendly and up for a chat.

We had made a few Sunday morning walks incorporating visits to the Village Cakery during lockdown in early 2021, but trying to make a decision on what cake to have did end with purchasing more than one piece on a couple of occasions. Such a joy to have on our doorstep in Churchdown. We ordered afternoon tea to celebrated our parents 55th Wedding Anniversary, the sandwiches, cakes, scones and cream were all beautiful, and so much of it. Noushien was really accommodating in making a diabetic friendly afternoon tea by swapping cakes for extra sandwiches and an extra scone, also by not dipping all the strawberries in chocolate. Thank you for going above and beyond and helping to celebrate Mum & Dad's emerald anniversary.

We drive past every day on the the home from school and everyday my son asks if we can stop, but he is coeliac so it makes it very difficult to just stop at a shop. However we contacted the shop and preordered a piece of gluten free carrot cake for the following which my son absolutely loved. He is a very picky eater and so that is a huge compliment. I have to say it was very tasty. Will definitely visit again.

I ordered a cake to be delivered to a friend for their birthday. Noush was clear and delightful in her communications, the ordering the process was simple and easy as a result of this. All the questions I had were answered quickly and the end product (see photo) turned out even better than I could possibly imagine. My friend loved it and said it was delicious. Noush offers great value for money, is flexible and friendly. She emailed me about its progress on the day and even offered to take a picture of the cake with my friend upon delivery to reassure me as I could not be there and I had already been let down by another baker. Having spoken to most of the bakeries in the gloucester area can say if I ever am in that neck of the woods would definitely go out of my way to taste the beautiful cakes for myself!

For my birthday on the 30th of September this year during the C-19 pandemic I received a birthday cake at my door while streaming video games with my very wholesome community. My house mate delivered it to me after accepting it at 7pm and I had never seen such a beautiful cake before, the kind you'd see for someone else but not yourself. I later learnt that The Village Cakery had come back from their holiday and took the day to make the cake and hand deliver it themselves and I'm absolutely blown away at the dedication and talent put into making my day so much more amazing! 10 days later we are still enjoying it and it still tastes fresh! The sponge is sort and the buttercream is gorgeous too! The decorating was out of this world!

I cannot recommend The Village Cakery highly enough - particularly the melt-in-the-mouth brownies, and the boozy bakes (I enjoyed a delicious Pimms cake for my birthday!) Noushien is very creative and skilled, and will also bake something entirely around your favourite things if you have something specific in mind.

Noushien provided our wedding cake this September (individual 3 tier chocolate and Victoria sponge cakes), which doubled up as dessert at our wedding. We loved the fact we could use a local business that meant something to us rather than a generic Supplier. The Cakery met our every need including setup at the Venue and providing free-from-gluten cakes to meet our guests dietary requirements. The cakes tasted great and looked amazing! We often stop by the cakery at the weekend, there's always something new to try and it's great to see a small local business doing so well ☺ thank you the Village Cakery! Will & Sophie x
