Reviews of Arôme Bakery

Very very delicious pastries.. I got honey brioche and it taste amazingly 🤤 and a brioche filled with vanilla custard which is very light and not much sweetie I really like it. Both deserve trying it. Their coffee is delicious as well I tried flat white and it taste good 👍🏻. A place where you gonna visit again and again.. definitely will come back to try the other pastries

This place has the BEST pastries in town!!! I ordered few pastries including seasonal Galette des Rois and vanilla chocolate brioche, which is filled with light vanilla cream. The cream is light and fluffy unlike the pastries I’ve had before.
This place has a seating indoors and few benches outside to sit. This place is famous so you’ll have to queue.

Amazing Japanese style bakery, I brought 5 items.
Sesame Miso Caramel Slice:
Kinda like Pound Cake, the cream was really smooth but not too sweet. A touch of miso added a balanced savory flavor.
Miso Bacon Escargot:
Highly recommend, suitable for spring onion lovers, there were good amount of bacons inside as well.
Gula Melaka Coconut Twist:
They were using caramelized coconut plum sugar inside, which added incredible aroma to the brioche style bread.
Shokupan:
Better toast a little bit before eating, otherwise the outside is a bit tough.
Vanilla Chocolate Brioche:
It's more like brioche cream puff, outside is chocolate coated brioche, filled with fresh vanilla cream, not too sweet, light weight and refreshing.
The stuff was very friendly too, when I told him it's a pity that they sold out honey butter toast. He told me it's better to pre-order online and pick up in the store, and then offered me a cup of complimentary matcha latte.

An incredible spot around Covent Garden! It has become my number 1 bakery in London! Amazing quality and creativity in introducing different tastes, reasonable prices, lovely staff and very well designed interior!
We had their miso&bacon bun and Pistachio and chocolate bun with matcha latte and flat white. All were utterly delicious!

Managed to find a table for a group of 4. Staff were patient as we chose our items. I had the Sausage Japanese BBQ croissant (might be the wrong name) it was very light and tasted good. Just enough sauce on top and sausage inside. Drinks are hot and a reasonable size.
Would definitely visit and and recommend to others.

Flavor 5 out of 5
Price is 3 out of 5
Coffee is average.their tea is good.
A typical Japanese style bakery. Its products have been modified for the adaption to Asian taste, which means puffier, softer, less loads of sugar and butter, and also another typical Japanese tag: more pricey.
Have tried quite a lot, including Shokupan loaf. There is nothing to complain on taste. Their croissant is a bit too soft in my opinion, and it does not really fill up the stomach. But the honey square is good. Their pastry flavor has a good balance between sweetness and smoothness.
However, just FYI, for similar products, there are good alternatives 5min away in the Chinatown bakeries. For example, their limited version, weekend coffee bun, is actually the same as the Mexican bun offered at 50% cheaper in every Chinatown bakery.

Arome Bakery is definitely our favorite spot for pastries during our stay in London and we highly recommend to visit it. We even brought a box of 8 pastries to travel back to NYC with us.
The decor is cozy, bright and clean with elegant wooden furniture and open kitchen. It’s really popular in the neighborhood, so sometimes the line might be long.
The options are in a great variety and they also served special flavors on the weekends. We visited 2 times and had 4 of their different pastries: Almond Croissant, Ham & Cheese Croissant, Miso Bacon Escargot and Pistachio Chocolate Escargot.
The food was infused with Asian ingredients, is overall amazingly delicious and delicate. My favorite was the Almond croissant because the filling was perfect and creamy with crunchy layer. My husband loves their escargots because the texture was tender and satisfying.
There are more choices we would like to try but sadly we had limited time in London. We hope the chef will think about opening a branch in New York in the near future.

very good coconut bun and robust coffee. difficult to try their signature honey butter bread, they never seem to have it (8:30am mid week and they had none). very nice atmosphere and super friendly service.

This was a place I wanted to visit coming down to London and wow - I am so glad I did. The aroma of sweet sugary goodness fills the air as soon as you walk in. I bought the almond croissant which is just divine. Perfect crisp flaky outside and smooth almond inside. I doubt I’ll ever taste anything as nice as that again. Kind of confusing routine when it came to collecting drinks but we did get them fairly easily in the end. I would definitely recommend getting here fairly early if you want to be guaranteed seating alongside the honey toast. Lovely experience, highly recommend!

One of the best bakerys in London! Their sausage and cheese croissant with Japanese bbq glaze and miso bacon escargot (snail swirl) pastries are A MUST TRY! They sold out on the honey butter toast but it's definitely on the list too. Beautiful place to sit and eat or take away
T. L.
Such delicious pastries. But you need to get there early before they run out. I was reviewing The Yards in Covent Garden so stopped at the bakery for a pastry in the morning. I popped back for something savoury in the afternoon but no veggie options left. I'd go back, but earlier next time!!! The interiors are lovely so a nice place to meet a friend for a natter.
c.
Such a lovely, clean, small bakery with so many delicious treats! You can also order some baked goods warmed up to go. It can be very busy as it’s quite popular, so it can be hard to get a table if you were thinking about going there to sit in…

I’m always looking for a bakery with quality matching price, and google excavated Arôme.
I asked the staff serving what they would recommend and they immediately suggested the honey butter toast and pistachio chocolate escargot, and opted for the apple miso danish through my own volition.
The apple miso danish was very tasty: pastry was buttery but a little firm; apples elegantly sliced for a beautiful aesthetic were sumptuous; the caramel filling complements the apple well with a nice sweetness to it. I think a dash of cinnamon would elevate their game.
The honey butter toast was phenomenal - outside was golden and glazed with honey for a delicate crunch, with the inside super soft and fluffy - like eating a piece of cloud. It was very sweet and the butter was rich, so it was quite flavoursome. I imagine a dash of cinnamon would elevate their game.
The pistachio chocolate escargot was essentially analogous to a cinnamon swirl, with the insides of the pastry lathered with chocolate and sprinkled with crushed pistachio. The pastry was flaky with the chocolate complementing the pistachio well. It was nice, but I think a pistachio within the filling and dash of cardamom would elevate their game, with hazelnut chocolate, too.
I also got a latte and cappuccino, which were strong, smooth and creamy (and I’m unable to distinguish the differences).
The serving staff was super friendly, but others seemed to be a little guarded. Might be the covid. However, the design and outlay of the shop is beautiful and if you’re around Covent Garden, definitely pop over as there’s a broad array of items to taste. 7/10.

Good oat Latte with a slice of housemade sesame miso cake
Barista was nice who gave me a big cup with more oat milk. Thanks!
K. M.
A new favourite for me. Bought one of everything almost and no duff notes. The honey toast fresh from the oven is spot on. Can't wait to come again.
L. S.
Really good place with a lot of delicious options, the baguette here is so good, croissant is light and fluffy, chocolate and banana croissant is so yummy, their coffee bun is good as well, coconut twist is delicious, pistachio and chocolate escargot was really tasty and their honey and butter toast is the best, all taste so good. Their lime and basil cake one is moist, delicious and full of flavour. We tried their sables selection and it was good. We had some drinks as well, flat white taste good but the hot chocolate was a little too sweet for my taste. Staff were amazing so polite and helpful. I love the place and definitely will going to be a regular customer, I only wish that they can have more vegetarian savoury options, like cheese croissant.
A. O.
Everything is so beautifully made. The oat flat whites were silky, creamy and delicious. The pastries were outstanding, both sweet and savoury were so delicate & simple but perfect flavours and textures. It's also all so light that you don't feel heavy afterwards.
We only wish there were more seats so we could sit down as they're understandable always full!
H. M.
Some of the nicest staff I’ve ever interacted with! They all say good morning to every single person that walks through the door with so much enthusiasm. They also say thank you to everyone as they leave - very polite. As for the actual pastries, 10/10. I got a Gula Melaka coconut twist and it was so good. It is a bit overpriced though (£3.90 for 1 pastry!)
S. H.
Japanese flavours make it an interesting twist. Limited seating and fairly busy but a few seating outside. Honey toast is a must!
A. T.
A must go if you're in the area . Beautifully flakey pastries and exciting flavour combinations make Arome very special.
Will be back next time for the signature honey butter toast as it was just sold out
D. C.
Incredible pastries - well worth the queue! The staff are super friendly and great service. I’d recommend the chocolate almond croissant!!
A. M.
Lovely bakery with lots of variety. Totally worth a visit!

Cozy and comfortable cafe with fresh pastries. Quite limited seating, not ideal for staying for long as it looks too bustling with customers. Interesting array of pastries. Friendly staff! A bit on the pricey end.

Great new bakery in Central London! Beautiful and delicious pastries, cakes, croissants and desserts. Sweet and savoury options available. The interior design is amazing, lots of light coming from the floor to ceiling windows.
Friendly staff and you can see the kitchen and how things are made 😍
A. K.
Tasty treats paired with fast and friendly service just off from all the hustle and bustle of covent garden.... Worth a visit for the miso caramel apple Danish alone!
J. G.
What can I say. Perfection really from start to finish.
Bit of a queue but really efficient service. The parties are out of this world.
Easily some of the best in London.
Flaky outside leading yo a chewy centre. Just excellent.
Will be back to try the shockupan.

The best croissant I've had in London. The place is also very comfortable, a great place to have a short break. 👍
G. L.
Amazing bakery, in my opinion amongst the best in London. The quality of everything I've tried was excellent including the coffee. The only issue for me is their slightly confusing service system. There's not much explaining on how one can get a table: can only cue, order at the counter and then wait standing up in the way of staff and customers for a table to free up while everything gets cold. Really odd.
M. C.
Brilliant. The honey toast is extraordinary, well worth the purchase. Good coffee and lovely minimalistic and clean vibe inside. Not a lot of seating so gotta get there early but friendly staff and amazing range of bakes. I also pre-bought online their shokupan for click and collect and it was ready to take away, freshly baked, when I got there. So excited to try it at home.
L. H.
Popped by here for my first coffee & pastry today, (I’ve been waiting for a chance to stop by since this bakery opened) and it was amazing. Coffee (oat flat white) was one of the best I’ve had in central London. It was so smooth & made with care - and croissant was delicious too (all of the pastries & buns look yum) - definitely coming back for more takeaways & as soon as It’s safe to, a sit-in visit too! Feels nice inside with a nice vibe.
Friendly staff too - first impressions are a winner
N. K.
Super friendly staff and delicious baked goods. Been here a couple times and the pastries were excellent every time! Will definitely come back and try all the other things!
P. J.
My favourite place for Asian-inspired patisserie. Love the place so much. Please arrive early if you want to find all their wonderful selection of bakery. Anything you choose to get would be ridiculously good.
S. M.
Expensive??? yes!
Worth it??? Totally!!!
Too many sweet pastries to offer to a sweetooth like mine🙈
My relation with Arome goes back 3 months. I had bookmarked this place and once ended up on a monday and they were shut.
Second time the lockdown was on and it is near my college so couldn’t go as my college was shut at that time.
Finally, landed here yesterday and man it was worth the wait.
The honey butter toast is a musttt try!
Even the banana chocolate croissant!!!
Can skip the plain croissant and juice but dooo get the mocha❤️❤️❤️
Yummy breakfast and they modify their menu everyday!
To stay updated follow them on insta and me too @tasteofanomad 🙈
Next time in Covent do not miss this gem!
Disclaimer: shut on Monday n Tuesday and most days only open until 4pm!

Great boulangerie pâtisserie, French technique and Asian flair and flavours. The hot chocolate is also delicious
J. O.
Finally got to check out this beautiful bakery! The shop itself is well designed, staff were very friendly and all the pastries looked delicious - it was impossible to pick!
Ended up going with the honey toast, spring onion bacon escargot, sausage cheese croissant and pistachio white choc escargot. I loved the Asian influence, they were a nice mix of classic Asian pastry flavours but done up in French pastry! My favourite out of the four was the bacon spring onion escargot. Can’t wait to go back to try more!
N. A.
Brilliant bakery with great pastries. The ham and cheese croissant is on a different level, just packed with smooth bechamel, puts any other ham and cheese croissant to shame. The apple danish with miso caramel glaze was a big surprise, as I'm not a fan of danishes but it looked so good that I had to try it and it didn't disappoint. I wasn't a fan of the pistachio escargot, the pastry was lovely but the chocolate was covering the pistachio flavour and you couldn't really recognise it. It's personal taste though. Overall great place with fast paced service and very professional open kitchen.
J. F.
Wide selection of pastries (savoury & sweet). Out of the four items we tried, the Korean sausage croissant and the coconut bun were definitely the favourites 😍
Pistachio escargot looked amazing but I wish the pistachio flavour was more prominent. Highly recommend a visit!
A. K.
Tasty treats paired with fast and friendly service just off from all the hustle and bustle of covent garden.... Worth a visit for the miso caramel apple Danish alone!
K. C.
The best croissant I've had in London. The place is also very comfortable, a great place to have a short break. 👍
S. T.
Consistent enjoyable experience at Arôme bakery. Good amount of bake goods available, and interesting combinations and flavours.
Good to explore and also nice environment and clean to sit in and enjoy the food.
L. M.
Wow. I loved this bakery. We had the miso, bacon and spring onion escargot and the sausage with Japanese bbq sauce croissant and both were INCREDIBLE.
There was a queue (lockdown) which was a bit slow but it was totally worth it for these delicious pastries. I can’t wait to go back.
The staff were very nice, they were constantly restocking the shelf of baked goods so there was a range of bread, pastries and cakes.
C. C.
Cozy and comfortable cafe with fresh pastries. Quite limited seating, not ideal for staying for long as it looks too bustling with customers. Interesting array of pastries. Friendly staff! A bit on the pricey end.
M. V.
Staff is super welcoming and the food is super yummy. The coffee is decent as well, with a good selection of alternative milks. The ham & cheese croissant was very nice, tasty until the last bite with a good bechamel sauce. Love the apple and miso Danish, always a treat to go and get one. Can't wait to try more! A perfect spot to go back to on my days off.
R. C.
An incredible bakery. Firstly, the staff were welcoming and incredibly helpful. They took the time to tell me what the flavours were like and what was in each of the things. On top of that the pastries and food were outstanding. The croissants were crisp, buttery, and delicious, with interesting and well thought through fillings. The coconut bun was soft and sweet. And the highlight was the incredible honey bread, I could eat this non stop. Just wow. Thank you Arome.
T. B.
Hands down one of the best bakeries in London. Even though they are like a japanese/ french fusion bakery, they know how to do both things right and authentic. Pastrys/ croissants are light and flaky and can certainly keep up with the boulangeries in France. I was particularly impressed by the honey toast, just like back in Japan. Hopefully they open more shops across London!
M.
Great coffee, made to perfection and amazing pastries, between the best ones ever tried! Fully recommend to anyone!
Also be mindful there will be a queue - like 95% of the time there is a queue, I think I have never seen it fully empty 🥲 - but they are quite fast in serving and it is definitely worth it! 😊
R. A.
Such a lovely bakery tucked away near Covent Garden. I never knew about this place until recently and I decided to pop in on a Friday. I was so excited to find they still had a good selection available as they sell out so quickly! I got the coconut bun with palm sugar and the lovely lady who was working there gave me a pistachio escargot on the house! I’m so glad she did because that was my favourite of the two and I will definitely be back for more. The apple miso was looking especially tempting! 🤤😋
Came back for the Apple miso but ended up getting the pineapple mango Danish which was super good! Next trip will be for the apple miso.
J. G.

Bit of a queue but really efficient service. The parties are out of this world. …

Pastries are really lovely and unique with an Asian twist!! 🥐 Bakery itself has a very aesthetically pleasing interior. Definitely worth a visit; just try coming earlier in the morning to beat the queue.
D. C.
Incredible pastries - well worth the queue! The staff are super friendly and great service. I’d recommend the chocolate almond croissant!!
A. M.
Lovely bakery with lots of variety. Totally worth a visit!
K. H.
Incredible pastries. Everything we got (and we got a lot - almond croissant, regular croissant, pistachio escargot, savory bacon scallion escargot, chocolate brioche) was obviously fresh & delicious. Flat white was also quite well made. Highly, highly recommend.
E. B.
Delicious pastries with friendly staff. I'm now addicted to this place and need to go once a week - even if I have to walk 45 min to get there.... favourite is the honey toast, but honestly the pineapple mango danish, apple miso danish, pistachio chocolate escargot etc are all delicious. Probably a good thing I need to walk so far to get there... LOL
J. F.
Very good pastries. The bacon savoury twirl was excellent. Apple miso was very good too. Excellent flat white. Chai latte was a bit on the weak side. Would go again. The queue when we left was very long…so I suggest getting there early to avoid a long wait.
T. R.
Oh my god that honey butter toast!!! 🤤😍 Incredible service, delicious pastries and baked goods. It's an adorable little cafe. I'm surprised people aren't queuing up around the block for it. They are so good!
Note: conscientious, meticulous use of separate tongs for veg and non veg. Winner!
D. Z.
A fantastic Franco-Japanese (yes, I made that term up) bakery with delectable viennoiseries, classic but with a twist. Their signature honey butter toast was a standout, but we also loved their miso bacon escargot and ham and cheese croissant. The drinks are great as well, I had a lovely matcha latte. And they sell whole loaves of bread to go, namely an excellent shokupan (Japanese milk bread) for all your sando needs. Cannot wait to come back and try some more of their creations!
T. W.
Havent had the chance to visit the bakery but glad to find out they were on Slerp and even more stoked to get a 5 quid off on my first order :) My order arrived promptly and each and every pastry exceeded my expectations. Super loved the honey butter toast and Apple Miso Danish especially. C'est délicieux! Coming from Singapore, I was hoping they have the laksa bun that I read about sometime ago, but it wasn't available. Surely it would be just as syiooook! Can't wait to visit the bakery, and update this review! - I finally visited this bakery and I really enjoyed the experience! It was spacious and there was a huge selection of pastries. And thr coffee is good too! It came with a very pretty latte art!
C. A. W.
Was here on a Sunday afternoon and the queue was shorter than I’ve expected (less than 10 minutes)! The miso bacon escargot was phenomenal - a perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the pastry was so flakey! The almond croissant was good too, but personally found the almond filling to be slightly lacking - really subtle almond flavour. Would definitely drop by another day to try out the other pastries!
t. n.
Pastries were delicious and great coffee 👍
M. L.
Long queue but it moves quickly! Get the miso bacon pain d’escargot for a perfect sweet and savoury pastry!
K. D.
Very unique place with truly seamless experience
-you get a perfect service with professional and friendly baristas as well as smiley staff on the back making you feel like a special customer
-exceptional choice of pastries even closer to the end of day. They cope with their popularity and queues really well while most of other artisan bakeries simply sell out patissiers in the morning and then offer only boring stuff
-amazing interior design
-very good choice of drinks
-and only best ingredients used, oh this amazing smell of butter from the laminated dough pastries!
T. H. H.
Even though it is a new bakery shop, but many people come here. Bakery is not only Japan style also mixed with Europe style. You should give it a try!
T. P.
The honey toast was delicious and the apple miso danish is one of the best pastries I’ve had, so fresh and also different! However it’s a bit overpriced. The coffee was also super small and ok but not exceptional. Definitely worth visiting for the danish!
T. J.
This backstreet bakery has one of the best Almond Croissants in town, and their signature Honey Butter Toast is a must-try!
M. K.
Omg this Bakery has been on my radar since I read about it on Social Media, and it didn't disappoint.
I wanted to try the Almond Croissants but was too late / sold out by 11:45am.
Had Apple Danish / Mouthwatering
& Vegi Quiche Delicious.
Be prepared to queue
Highly recommend.
Y. X.
A pop up pastry shop that should stay here as its permanent place - Alix Andre (Dorchester, Ladurée) magically incorporate the Asian flavours into the French traditional baking techniques, fostering the aroma blossom that we are lucky to try in town, at Arôme
V. V.
Nice interior and selection of pastries - go for their classic toast only though. We got the sausage croissant which was super salty. There was also a huge backlog of coffee orders as there was only one barista who moved at a snail’s pace.
S. P.
Phenomenal vienoisserie at this Singapore inspired French bakery. Constantly rotating flavours, the must tries are the banana, chocolate & almond croissant, and the honey milk bread (top tip - ask them to warm this up).
The croissant dough has layers on layers of light, crispy, flaky pastry exactly as it should be. With a patisserie chef formerly of Michelin started Yuatcha at the helm, this bakery is really going places.
O. A.
One of the best morning!
We order something like bread and honey
It was amazing. You should be there.
O. E.
Delicious, a must try. I had the miso bacon escargot, never tasted anything like it before, what a combination, even thought about going for seconds. Do visit if you're in the area, won't disappoint.
O. J.
Amazing new bakery. The pastries are incredible & reasonably priced and the staff is very friendly.
J. J.
Amazing bakery right in the Covent Garden! It was recommended to me by the barista from Monmouth coffeeshop. I went there and were amazed not only by the variety and quality of the pastries but also how friendly and helpful the staff were there. They said they are doing special pastries on the weekend, so gotta be back there for sure!
T. K.
Amazing bakery place. I would say one of the best! Lots of selection and the staff are very friendly and helpful! Will definitely come back if I have a chance.
C. S.
Simply perfect. Best pastry in London. Better than in France!
S. S.
Great selection and the puff pastry is excellent. Coffee is also great. However it loses a star as it is very expensive and they charge even more if you sit in. Also the seating is quite squished so it’s not the most comfortable place to sit.
O. M.
Amazing boulangerie, the honey butter toast is a must
I. D.
The chocolate and banana croissant was amazing and the pain au chocolat was the biggest pain au chocolat I’ve ever seen🤩 really friendly staff as well, will definitely be returning when I’m in London next! (No photos because they got eaten too quickly😋)
J. J.
Recommend: apple miso danish, almond banana chocolate croissant, and the brown sugar/cinnamon swirling bread (forgot the name). Their matcha latte is quite good too!
M. U. C.
Really nice place with lovely looking pastries. I have to say that they aren't as nice as they look. The flavour is a little too subtle. For instance, the chocolate and pistachio swirl hardly tastes of chocolate, or the coconut babka hardly tastes of coconut. They are nice, but not a 5/5 for me.
H. G.
Delicious honey toast and sablés 👏 The honey toast was crunchy and caramelised on the outside, and dense in the middle. The sablés were nice and buttery too, and loved the spice in the chocolate one
A. Z.
the most earth shattering crunch on my pastry. and inside so melt in your mouth. im coming back to try everything!
L.
Extensive and enthusiastic research has yet to find a pastry here that isn't delicious - however, the honey toast has a certain legendary status locally, if you want a slice you need to come early!
S.
If you are only looking for aesthetics then that’s the place to be. Usually long lines and rude-ish stuff. Which with the average coffee and ok-ish pastry doesn’t cut it for me. Again covent carden be prepared to be packed. Ohhh I miss the quite already
.
B. K.
Used to love it here but the new system for tables is ridiculous! If you order to stay in you have to stand there like a fool while your food and coffee goes cold waiting for a table. If you or anyone in your party dares to sit down before you have your food you’ll be told to move. Crazy 😂
R.
one of the best bakeries in London
their pistachio escargot croissant is- I can’t stop eating once I took my first bite
A. O.
Amazing apple miso baked goods! Great flat white as well. Lovely spot away from the tourists!
A. A.
I got the almond crossiant and it was a bit cold although it was flakey.
I got the coconut roll which was not tasty and was hard to bite off.
I. L.
Lovely patisseries and proper flat white. Nice addition to the London bakery scene, stop by if you are in the area and treat yourself 🥐☕️
T. K.
The pastries are actually really really really good. The service is bad though, so bad I had to deduct 2 stars.
Asks me to email them, no response after 4 days. Sums it up really.
A.
We got the coconut bun: it’s a perfect blend of coconut and milkyness, the coconut flavour is subtle and bun is rich and fluffy
C. J.
Go on the weekend to get the coffee buns, they are just divine.
The croissants are so buttery and delicious, even without adding butter or any other fillings yourself.
The honey toast is something I haven’t seen elsewhere in London and it was really super, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
There’s some little benches outside to sit on and the staff are super sweet at helping you pick out the perfect treat!
C. J. B.
The question is, when and where will the next branch open? Form an orderly queue as this bakery is churning out truly outstanding pastries, breads, and desserts.
M. N.
Nice assortment of things, tried the Apple pastry, the coconut bun and the pistachio swirl. All were good.
a. t.
Nicely made pastries and one of the best matcha lattes I’ve had anywhere and would have given at least 4 stars if it wasn’t for the fact that a slice of their home made cake- brown sugar miso cake today- was a tiny portion and I overheard the cashier saying to the server that it should have been a thicker slice than what was offered but no attempt was made to rectify this which I found disappointing
L. P.
The best pain au chocolat I have had in my life ever, without doubt. Excellent coffee too
J. O.
We only tried a few of their pastries here. We had the apple miso danish and the pineapple mango danish. Both were delicious. My daughter enjoyed their honey butter toast made with their shokupan - something not found in many places. We will probably come back to try some of their savoury offerings. I also want to try their gula melaka danish which was not available on the day we went.
S. M.
Amazing new bakery tucked away in Covent Garden making the most gorgeous pastries. Unusual, beautifully made, and very delicious. You can order and pay online then pop in to collect. I got some for my birthday and a hot drink on the house. A warm and inviting space I hope we can all enjoy more of soon.
P. B.
Totally rate this bakery. I'm always looking for great coffee at reasonable prices and this place does that, The pastries look like there made on site and smell amazing so I had to try the honey toast(yum yum yum). Plus the staff are really welcoming and friendly. The best bakery in Central London.
G. B.
Wow. Really extraordinary food here. Lovely friendly staff, nice interior. But the food. Wow. I'm almost incoherent. Particular highlights were the miso bacon escargot, the honey toast, and the chocolate and almond croissant. These were eaten too fast to photograph.
I. W.
Miso escargots, sausage croissant, honey toast, almond croissant, everything here taste amazing and you could feel the real passion of the food maker. Fresh and tasty, nice service and vibe too!
N. A.
Honey butter cake and a flat white 🤩!!

5 stars + thousands more!
You feel welcomed here, the staff is the friendliest ever and always remember my girlfriend and I even though I don't often pay a visit!
The bread is fantastic, and even in my natal Paris I didn't have such great quality bakery.
The combination between the traditional French pastries and Asia is very creative and surprising. I would recommend you... oh well, everything!
My favorite place ever!
Merci infiniment pour l'accueil!
S. G.

Friendly staff, great location and pastries are too good not to try. Had almost all the ones they have and they were all great! Highly recommended!

Great pastries in a cool, modern setting. The honey bread is a particular highlight, alongside the chocolate and pistachio escargot and tarte tatin. All three are very high quality and equally delicious!

I visited Arome today for the first time. I have a sensitivity to milk and cream and asked if any of their pastries were made without either of those dairy products. Unfortunately, even their classic croissant is made with milk. But their baker very generally offered to make me a special apple galette without milk or cream. When it was ready, he even hand-delivered it to me outside, and it was still hot from the oven. The galette was absolutely delicious, and I was so grateful that the baker was willing to go above and beyond to find something I could eat. I highly recommend Arome not only for the quality of the baked goods but also for the outstanding customer service.

The chocolate and banana croissant was amazing and the pain au chocolat was the biggest pain au chocolat I’ve ever seen🤩 really friendly staff as well, will definitely be returning when I’m in London next! (No photos because they got eaten too quickly😋)

A pop up til Feb but i'll be visiting loads! Great staff, they sit with you and discuss the food they sell, and the coffee is also good...oh, sorry and the cakes: amazing! Great choice of pastries all with an Asian twist.

Great coffee, lovely fresh food all served by friendly , helpful and efficient staff. Far superior to the larger coffee shop chains that frequent all major towns and cities.

Not a typical French patisserie.
Interesting flavours, mix Asian elements such as miso, spring onions...etc.
Good pastry, would come back to try other range.

Nice but expensive

Beautiful selection of pastries and buns - the pastry on the tarts is perfectly crisp and the fillings are juicy and tasty. I felt that some of the exotic flavours could be more pronounced (e.g. shiso on the pear-shiso tart; it was sprinkled so finely, I couldn't taste it). This would make the pastries stand out even more from the competition. However, the chef clearly knows what he is doing, so I look forward to seeing this bakery grow in the future!
Top tip - they have an oven next to the pastries, so if you get a bun, ask them to warm it up. Sadly I realised this halfway through eating a cold bun :( It was still good, but you can't beat a hot bun! And if only there could be some butter and kaya on the side... that would be magic ;)

So far the best French bakery I tried in London. It even tops many good boulangeries that I went to in Paris.

Although the selection of the pastries is few their pastries were fresh and utterly delicious. I order the pistachio twist and almond pastry with a vanilla latte which was so smooth and flavoured.
