Excellent coffee and friendly staff make the most of thus small cafe. Also has a small selection of savory and sweet snacks. Sells excellent bread too.

Bought the lovely sourdough bread yet again! So happy that you can get it sliced here too. Got a loaf for myself and one for my friend. It freezes well.

Do yourself a favour, try the lamingtons!
My partner is a homesick Australian and he loves Blackbird’s Aussie classic.
On reflection, no, don’t buy them. Leave them for us 😂

Lovely ham and olive frittata. Cakes looked delicious but not enough time today.

Great place. Staff is very friendly (even when you come few minutes before closing times and ask for a coffee). They've got a great selection of cakes and sandwiches. I personally find the coffee is good and they do have alternatives to dairy (oat, soy etc...)
The cakes are really good quality and you can find little gems. The Bakewell Tart (see photo) is amazing and I bought a Lamington I did not try but whose had been unanimously voted best cake among all the ones I had brought. There is a £10 lunch offer (sandwich, coffee and cake, if I'm right) and that's definitely a good deal.
The bakery in itself is nice. Not that many tables but if the weather is on your side the terrace is nice. I like the fact that they exhibit the works of some artists on the walls. It gives the place a nice touch. The atmosphere is really nice anyway.

Vegan review:
The bakery has alternative milk which you are charged extra for, I disagree with this.
There are vegan cake options which is a bonus!

Lovely pastries and cakes. Flavorsome coffee. Great place for a coffee break.

Great option for a coffee and a bite to eat! The cheese and ham croissant is pretty damn good (and I used to live in France)!

The frittatas and the sausage roles are unreal. The chocolate brownie and lamington’s are also worth a try. Great little place!
