I’m surprised to read negative reviews. This bakery is amazing! Their focaccia and the pastries are delicious. The owner and the staff are incredibly friendly. Highly recommended

Nice bakery, staff sometimes is friendly sometimes not at all, only the young lady is always welcoming. Coffee not great as flat white, latte and cappuccino all taste the same. Their almond croissant is super delicious, but don’t go there with the too good to go app, the bag is not worth the price

Gave this place a try today and I was NOT disappointed! Walked in, got greeted by a very friendly french patisserie chef (1st hint that I was in for a treat!) Bought some apple tarts which were absolutely amazing and whilst casually doing chitchat with the chef he let me try a small piece of 3-layered french chocolate tart - I consider myself a regular customer now! Prices are also very good.

Disgusted to see "Pret" are making a trivial complaint about name similarity, what a bunch of bullies. Stand firm BREAD. I live in north London so have never been to your shop but am going to make the journey to stand in solidarity with you. In such grim times Pret should be ashamed of themselves for making a storm in a teacup (and their tea is ghastly).

OMG, can't believe how amazing cakes from this place!! I've tried many different cakes and all of them were soooo good!! Siper 5 stars!!! I can't say enough but they are all just sooo amazing! 😍 Not cheap but worth it!

I ordered a custom cake and the chef was very patient when learning my requirements which involved an edible photo! The recipient was very happy and we're over the moon with the cake. The chef even made sure I know about the ingredients so I can be aware of allergens. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Great service and products! We ordered a lemon tart, apple tart and strawberry&cream cake - all were beautifully presented and soooooooooo delicious!! The delivery was quick and friendly and staff were very helpful. We enjoyed the treats very much and will definitely be coming back for more!

Received a Magic Bag from 2G2G. Received a sourdough loaf, a slice of pizza, 2 sausage rolls and an almond croissant. The sourdough loaf was good. The pizza was OK, tasted lovely and fresh but was burnt on half of the underside. The sausage rolls were actual sausages, not sausage meat, wrapped in flaky pastry. The sausages were quite rubbery and pastry was a little overcooked. The almond croissant was absolutely delicious!! Probably the best I've ever tasted. Overall a mixed review, having said that, I'd like to try again and see what I receive next time. Staff were pleasant.

We get our croissants and pastries from here and they are always, without a fault, delicious! A real gem in the Bermondsey Blue. Go there!

Excellent bakery for the Blue. The ownder, Bertrand works so hard, and is training pastry chefs and bakers, so it will get even better. We love their sourdough, and the kids like the cinnamon buns and carrot cake. We get our normal loaf bread from Pete's up the road, but come for the special stuff to Bread a Manger.

Great coffee and cakes, but, avoid weekends as they play very loud music, and it's impossible to relax and talk to people, we had headaches due to the awful loud music, which is a Shame, because, apart from that, it's great.

What a brilliant bakery, everything they have is super delicious and freshly made every morning. There is a very friendly French Pastry Chef named Bertrand, that is ready to make you happy every time you walk in. I've been eating here almost every morning since they open as it's close to where I live, and they are just fantastic. Best croissants I've ever had in London!

I paid online and used 'to Good to Go' and had never known about this place, so it was really good to try. My first impressions beautiful artisan cake shop, good location and well stocked and presented. I was greeted really nicely and welcoming by the staff member (lady), I showed my App, then I think it was the manager (bearded man) came over and before he handed over the order he asked to see the App. I showed him the App, but I could sense negative energy. I understand this is end of day and challenging times for all but you still have to be positive and keep on going. I will pop in one day and purchase without the App and see if I get the same response. Overall the order was delicious and appreciated.

Been here multiple times now, trying both sweet and savory treats. All have been beautiful, especially the Chelsea bun and the carrot cake. Want to try the sandwiches next. I haven't tried the coffee yet, but plan to soon; I hope the coffee matches the quality of the baked goods! I really like that they've given the place a coffee shop vibe - Bermondsey (especially around The Blue) needs more of them! That being said, I'm not sure it has WiFi or anything, so don't think you could work from there. Will be back for many more treats!

Discovered this place today and apparently it’s been open for a month now. Very happy with the quality of bread- fresh and still warm baguette, crispy outside and soft inside focaccia sprinkled with rosemary, creamy all natural flavour strawberry cakes, and the fact that there is a nice small bakery that popped in Bermondsey within walking distance. Great service from the chef/owner. We will be back for more An update 4 months on. Unfortunately amended the review from 5* to 3*. 5* for bread, 1* for biscuits and pastries. As assortment grew the quality gone down. It seems they are not selling as much as they prepare and this is a second time we got to buy stale biscuits and hard macaroonsConsidering the prices are as high as of the best central London patisseries, I find this unacceptable. Not impressed.

Finally a proper bakery in Bermondsey! The focaccia, the bread, the doughnuts and the French pastries are some of the best in London. Everything is baked on site in the morning and the owner and staff are super friendly! A must try!

Being a regular customer at Bread A Manger, and a fan of all the goodies they produce freshly on a daily basis, it was an easy choice when I wanted a special cake for my wife's birthday. I called and spoke to Fred who agreed to my request for a chocolate cake for 6-8 people at a reasonable price. Once the cake was ready, I was notified and I went to pick it up. I was very happy with the finished product and even bought some more goodies, the Kouign-Amann is my new favourite now!! Please also try the ginger cake!

Mmmmm amazing focaccia, almond pain a chocolate, cheese twists... everything we tried was fab. He also has four outside tables if you want to eat in the square. We couldn't take more than a step without trying our purchases. Bertrand is very nice and open to making your favourites if he doesn't have them already! He's the real deal. Makes everything in-store. Great addition to the neighborhood!
