A. W.Lovely brunch in a small but lovely cafe/restaurant. I follow a Keto diet and there was a poached egg, smocked salmon and asparagus dish on the menu for me that didn’t even require any special requests. Delicious!!
H. P.We went for the first time on Saturday 12 March 2022. We were seated comfortably in the back corner beside the fish tank. A friendly staff member approached our table, and asked if it was our first visit. We said yes as we’d always assumed they’d just sold cakes, desserts, and coffee. But that a friend had told us that full meals are now available in the evenings. She told us this change had occurred four years ago…
Intrigued I told her that I’d had a career in advertising. Immediately she said they’d tried advertising in local media but it hadn’t worked.
I explained that I wasn’t trying to sell her advertising but just reflecting on how strongly the original Chateau Dessert brand name and fascia had been embedded in my mind.
I was also surprised to discover that the menu is Lebanese and wondered how the name ‘Chateau’, being French, related to that cuisine?
Perhaps a new brand name would help increase awareness and attract customers?
She said that there was a French influence in Lebanon and a well-known wine called Chateau Musar. And that the owners wanted to stick with Chateau as they have other business under that name.
At this point I gave up and focused on ordering…
The food and service was good. The chef was introduced to us and seemed genuinely interested in what we thought. Stand-outs for us were the mixed seafood prawns and calamari.
For me the decor is what would prevent me visiting again unless I really wanted Lebanese food. There’s a preponderance of cheap plastic flowers hanging from the ceiling, and the lighting is harsh. Grilandia in Turnham Green Terrace suffers from the same two things. Perfectly good food let down by the ambience.

The cakes and salad buffet looked delicious and the waiting staff is really there to make sure you’re enjoying it. A lot of people seem to be regular patrons which is always a good sign. Visited today in appalling weather but greeted by very upbeat server ( dressed as monkey for Halloween) who made our visit a real pleasure. Food excellent - the quinoa/halloumi fritters with crispy kale are wonderful and good, tho' limited wine list. Amazed that there are not more reviews on this site!

J. I.Yes I'm alone that night just finished my work, I wandered around Chiswick area and "Chateau" caught my eye so I went to have a little dinner.
The ambience of the place was nice, I had a lovely spot and view of the main road.
The food was amazing from smell to the taste, I even took away some of the food that I placed, I enjoyed the food and the service as well, looking forward to set a foot again on that area.
B. S.Good cakes, nice teas and a great location. Friendly staff. I had a hot chocolate. On the menu it proudly announces this isn't made with powder but with real chocolate. However when you drink it there is a powdery residue in the cup which belies their promises on the menu. I don't often drink hot chocolate and I won't order it here again.

I have ordered 5/6 times before from here and they never fail to deliver. Tasty, beautifully presented and a brilliant menu. I have recently gone dairy and gluten free and when I called up to ask them what I could eat from the menu they couldn’t have been more helpful. We have just finished and it was unbelievable. Highly recommend for wonderful, tasty healthy food.

S.Simply the best quality, freshest food and best service, the price is right here and I do not feel ripped off at all, having worked in hospitality and procurement for years I really appreciate independent venues such as this, last time I was there the for dinner there was a big party upstairs in the beautiful room they have, the place had such energy and vibe it was great.
I have been here for brunch too and on weekends it gets so busy - better to book, the food is never instant , its loving cooked and you can see it, taste it and really appreciate it.
Really love the quirky decorations, bird cake as a light and birds on the outside, the ceiling with foliage and the copper pipe lights in the windows.

M.Just came in for coffee which was nice, the 2 waiting staff were so lovely, however, someone who I can only guess is the owner/general manager came out, barked orders rudely at the waiting staff and the whole energy in the restaurant changed. The restaurant was quiet and my group and another looked on in shock at her attitude towards them. We couldn’t get out fast enough. I hope she was just having a bad day and she usually shows more respect to her wonderful staff.

🥘 Menue had a variety of options. I went for a brunch and was spoilt for options as everything sounded amazing! They had many gluten free and vegan options which was great! In the end I went for the egg royale and it was delicious and beautifully presented.
🍵 I had English breakfast tea and Morrocan tea later and they use a nice brand called Tea forte and it was delicious. They also hd chilled tap water bottled in the fridge which was great in the hot weather.

I ordered a fruit tart which was filled with creme brulee inside (I know!! sounds delicious) and oreo cheesecake for take away and omg they tasted perfect!!

Proper, proper good service, no silly gadgets to order with, paper menus , proper people to speak with and just fantastic food, I was part of a larger group and 3 of us never ate here before, but will sure be booking again.
The dinner was probably best I have had for many years, the desserts were fabulous and the front of house team just delightful- its a real treat to find people who actually are so proud to work in a place, the lady taking about the desserts said even they were all made in house in their own factory and they also supply many high end hotels too.
while dining tables were actually chatting with each others, what a delight and a giggle we all had. we met one of chefs on the night too and he was a riot, proper real Lebanese too.
Real gem of a find and will come here again from Windsor and even pay the Ulez silly charge, it really was such good food. I hope they will open in Ascot or Windsor thou.

J. D.I love this place...absolutely beautiful. The bestpart if the interiors and I feel it is designed so well that it just gives the happy vibes. They have the indoor as well as the outdoor seating and I have personally went there twice for an eat in. Both the times the customer service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and they always have a smile. I love their Tiramisu which is moist and has a very nice coffee flavour throughout. We being a vegetarian tried falafel which was okay but the hummus was very tasty. Overall the score is for the service and would love to visit there everytime I am in Chiswick.🙂

V. G.I really like Chateau's cakes and pastries: the tiramisu and oreo cheesecake are very nice, so is the coffee and chocolate layered pastry. I also tried the baklavas and they were cheap and tasty!
My friend had the carrot cake once and said it was quite dry, and I remember not being wowed over by one of their other chocolate pastries (I think it was the cheesecake), but I just stick to my go-to pastries and I'm happy!
P. M.Had a lovely dinner here with my girlfriend. Lots of great gluten free mezze options, all deliciously cooked. Good value too - we were very well fed. Highlights were the stuffed vine leaves (not something I'd usually rave about...) and the chicken shawarma. Oh, and plenty of gluten free cake options for afterwards!
S. T.My friend recommended Chateau for pancake day yesterday, I'm a baker so take pride in finding the best places for food and treats.
She wasn't wrong and I would definitely go back to Chateau for a meal. The service was good, the prices for food are reasonably priced and the food was great. The buttermilk pancakes are like no other I've had before and I'm now intrigued to how they were made as they are crispy, soft, fluffy and gluten free. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the food is fresh, my friend made a good choice :)

The owners really went out of their way to ensure everyone had a lovely time. Thank you to the entire team for such a memorable evening.
Y. S.We had the vegan brunch and the quesadilla. Both came out after what felt like 30 min and were very cold. The server had a hard time remembering our order. The vegan brunch was tasty but I do not recommend the quesadilla.
B. S. S.My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed lunch and dessert here last month while vacationing in London. The dessert I had was a creamy chocolate-orange dream, beautifully presented... plus it was gluten-free!
The lunch items were lovely and there were lots of middle-eastern flavors (the owner is apparently from Lebanon) that added interest.
The owner was extremely friendly and more than once recommended for us the exact item we had been most interested in. We felt like he could read our minds... it was actually amazing.
While there wasn't a paper menu listing what was gluten-free, the owner was quick to point out which items were. The area in the front near the case was kind of cramped, but the upstairs seating was roomy and light and had a nice view of the street/shops below. There was even a restroom, which is not always the case in small shops.

The only downside was a recent experience where I wanted to eat in the eatery but the head waiter did not want me to eat inside and so suggested the tables were too close so none were available for me. Strange!! The owner recognised me and got me seated immediately. Thank you!!. But I would recommend this place. It's very local and relaxed.

J. C.Visited here for first time and must the savoury food I had was very nice however, venue let down by poor service.
When arrived was greeted by a very nice Waitress, Ruby who was friendly and very efficient however unfortunately her shift ended and the waitress who took over was awful. 1st she didn't bring us any cutlery with our food & when asked for the she returned with them but no apology for her error. During the hour I was here she dropped countless glasses and bottles everywhere then it appeared she did not know how to operate the card machine when it came to pay.
The other issue I had was with some of the other clientele there who were rude and arrogant. Someone behind me kept slamming her chair into the back of mine & no apology. The other issue was another customer decided to rest their bike against the table which made it very difficult for staff to serve tables properly. Management should have addeessed this as the is ample bike parking very close by.
I heard the people on table next to me complain that the cake they had was dry, "the driest cake I've ever eaten" was the exact words used by the customer yet the same waitress offered no apology for this.
As I said the savoury food I had was very nice however I very much doubt I will return as 1st impressions count & overall mine was not a good one here.

My elderly mother was a regular here till lockdown and then being bedbound last year,I brought her out in a wheelchair today.
The owner/manager cleared some space and even remembered how she liked her latte a year later.Impressive!

The location and arrangements very good, unfortunately there is limited space inside.
However, the highlight is the desserts. Oh my word, the freshness is un-be-lie-va-ble. Got the pistachio one, my partner the Oreo, and both were pleasantly surprised by the freshness.

A. J.A wide range of gluten free patisserie style cakes (not just the usual GF options like banana bread and carrot cake you find in cafes). Labelling the cake selection would be helpful. It's awkward to ask staff to keep repeating the flavours/ingredients whilst you stand there and decide what to buy (even though they are patient and friendly), especially when it's busy.

The oh-so-simple chocolate cake was the best tasting chocolate cake I've ever had. This is definitely a hidden gem! My wife ordered the Peach Oolong tea. The fragrance of the tea was to die for! It literally made her knees go weak, imagine that!

We enjoy their welcome and hospitalty always and when we visited on 2nd April 21 , Pierre was just incredibly helpful and polite.
Their cakes individually packed or as whole are incredible in presentation and taste , the mango and passionfruit slice beautifully packed is just divine.
Pierre , be ready next time i will do a Lebanese take out and felafal is a must for me.

The mezze style menu has great variety and each dish (of the 8+ we ordered) was excellent and clearly of great quality. To top it off the staff and owner spent time with us over coffee in a personal way you rarely get in London.
1. 3.A truly exquisite experience. The distinct and charming interior boasts originality and character that is unique to Chateau. From the copper pipe hanging lights to the quirky and colourful vases displayed on the window it is all the product of the owner Pierre's creativity and a reflection of his personality. Adorable Fresh cut flowers adorn the tables in dainty vases, an endearing touch.
Angelika the supervisor provides an exceptional level of customer service. Customers are greated upon entry in a polite and welcoming manner creating an affable ambience.
The outstanding food offered never ceases to impress and fulfil. Both the savoury and sweet options are always scrumptious and presented in an extremely aestheticaly pleasing manner. Not only fresh but healthy and above all tasty! I would recommend trying the manager Annette's Scandinavian dessert which is her own recipe and unique to Chateau.
B. B.Attractive place but a mediocre lunch experience. Seevice was aimless, and food took a very long time to arrive. Pancakes were partially burnt, eggs lacked flavor, auberginenparemgiana and salad were made with good cresh ingredients but somewhat bland. We didnt have the cakes this place is known for but wouldnt return for linch despite attractive menu.
