Stopped by here for a snack, tea, and something sweet. I had a nice experience. It's a spacious place with a good selection of savory and sweet things to have with something warm (tea / coffee).

I was searching for a cake at the last minute for my kid's bday during January 2022. I called them to know that they had few cakes available for the day and went to check them. The cake was really tasty. Thank you for the service. The only downside was that the price was a little higher for my budget but i think it was fine compared to other bakeries. I would highly recommend approaching them for a birthday cake near to East Finchley.

Great place for morning Breakies, good spread of choices and a nice cup of coffee. Love the ambiance and the cleanliness. They serve with a smile and the food is of good quality. I have visited them a few times now for sunday morning breakfast and tried a few items on the menu. would recommend the eggs benedict and the shakshuka. Rare find 5 minutes walk away from east Finchley station. Hope they keep up the good work.

Cakes and pastries look lovely but the savory roll I got was a bit stale, and apple strudel was pretty basic and didn't feel like it was cooked enough. Service and atmosphere could've been friendlier. A bit of a disappointing visit won't be visiting again sadly.

Very wide selection of lovely cakes, but it is also a good local cafe. Several large tables that are suitable for larger groups. Also a nice place to spend the morning working at a corner. good ventilation with door and front windows open.

Have been coming here for about a year and a half with my baby and I bring friends and family who visit us in the area here too. Love the cakes and have had lots of lovely hot food too. The shakshuka is delicious, and the cooked breakfast is great too. The owner is really friendly and always remembers us when we visit which is nice. Will be back soon!

A delightful atmosphere with friendly and accommodating staff. The food is exquisite and the pastry is made right within arm's reach due to their exposed kitchen. It's my local and I frequent it most days when I can usually for the banter and excellent coffee.

I like this place and come here often. It’s a nice relaxed, place - neither a pretentious cafe nor a bland chain. Food is good, and not expensive. True, I don’t come here for the smiles (!), but I actually appreciate the “authenticity”... although I might think twice before coming if I’m in a rush.

I usually go to Chorak once every few weeks with my Boyfriend. The main reason we come is to pick up a fresh loaf of bread after a coffee and some lunch. The bread is amazing especially if you time it with it being freshly baked. However the staff members are sometimes not very friendly or inviting. We did recently have some excellent customer service from a young man who seemed to have just started working there. He made us feel so at home that I decided to write a review just for it

Best croissants in East Finchley. It's almost the only thing I get here now that they have stopped selling bred. We sometimes sit down for food and coffee and it's nice. I like this place.

Recently refurbished cafe which looks really nice and is often quite full - especially on the weekends. My experience has usually been one of average food and not great service. There are better cafes in East Finchley a few doors down.

The food is OK. Generally average place, but service is below average and they claim they *must* charge 5p for a plastic bag.. yet that law applies only to companies with 250+ employees, which this place doesn't have. It's opportunistic. UPDATE: they dropped the bag charge and the staff seem much friendlier. Changed rating from 2 to 3 star.

Chorak is a an independent shop in East Finchley, and as such I enjoy their detachment from the main chains. Their drinks are very good (they have a delicious dark hot chocolate), however I found the quality of their pastries sub-par, and I think the shop could do with a more joyous decor.

It is a very nice place for a snack, breakfast or lunch. The food is well prepared and the staff are very friendly. I would however say that there are more staff needed as during my time there (which was in the morning) there was a single person doing literally everything which is very difficult and some people can get very impatient. Other than that I would definitely recommend coming here the prices are semi reasonable and everything is freshely made 😊

Ok it's been a long time, so a lot may have changed; but I used to go for lunch here maybe once a week, way back when the only other option was one of the greasy spoons close by. Chorak then served a healthier offering in cleaner but less cosy surrounds and for a great deal more money. Here's hoping they have raised their game since then.
