K. P.We have been visiting Florentine's for some time now and every experience has been a joy. The staff are super friendly, drinks and food superb and the cakes to die for! We therefore decided to order my granddaughter's 1st Birthday Cake on New Year's Eve..... And the result was out of this world! The cake was better than the picture we gave and the taste, Victoria sponge, was heavenly!! Hattan did a superb job, thank you so so much, we will not go anywhere else from now on. Highly highly recommended. I would give more stars if I could! Wishing you a Happy and Prosperous New Year from all the family 💞
P. D.I took a delicious Ferrero cake for my birthday last week. Everybody was so impressed with the cake. Mouthwatering 😋 Was so good that Sunday I took another one for my bestie birthday. So in a week, I had two of the very best birthday cakes that you can find in South London. The staff is super polite and friendly. The prices are super affordable and the quality superb. If I could, I will give them 6 stars. I will be back soon.
M. H.What can I say... their cakes, pastries and milkshakes are delicious. Have taken a particular liking to their Nata's. As I understand it, all items are prepared by the owner and he along with the other staff are friendly and helpful. We visit almost weekly to try out all the different items on sale and have since bought 2 birthday cakes made to order. Well worth a visit if you're in West Norwood.
J. V.The best coffee bakery, I bought the cake por my baby shower and I'm super satisfied, the cake is super soft, tasty, inside with passion fruit cream, wow amazing, usually I bought there some pieces of cake and always is fresh. (cake toppers I bought myself)

S. d. l. F.Fabulous cakes and very clean patisserie. The choice was mouth watering! I had Earl Grey tea, which was very nice and delicate, but therefore cannot comment on the coffee. My passion fruit slice was delicious. Will definitely return with a friend, to share the calories and guilt with!

I'm not going to say what the best ones are because I want to be sure they don't run out when I go! I go at least twice a week for cakes to take away and have had a couple of celebration cakes made by them too which have both been delicious. Really excellent!

L. A.I’ve lived in West Norwood for 5 years and am still to find better cakes! Very wide selection and fantastic quality. I especially like tasting all the different “slices”. The place is always spotless and the service is friendly and efficient.
C.What a find. Bought some cakes for a family get together, everyone loved the bakewell, pear tart and delicious cup cakes. The also have large cakes at reasonable price. So if you need to get a cake in a hurry this could be for you.

B. W.I love this bakery! I work from home a lot and it's my go-to place to go with my laptop when I need a little pick me up (i.e. cake reward) to help me slog through some work. It's very chilled and you never feel time pressured or unwelcome. I'm slowly working my way through the delicious cakes...and I mean slowly... the staff are very patient when I stand there trying to decide. I have tried about 10 cakes and they were all lovely. My favourite is the lemon meringue tart, and I love all of their creative creamy slices (lotus, black forest, ferrero rocher etc). Some cakes might be too sweet for some...but not for me! But I had a falafel wrap here too once and that was surprisingly tasty.
p.s. On a hot day, this place has the best air con in Tulse Hill ;)

E.I went in a few days ago as I was walking by in West Norwood at a deserted time in the evening as it had the most appealing shopping window on the high street...Didn't have anything in mind when I approached it, but it was clear from the outset that Florentine Bakery sold very high quality patisserie. Luxurious cakes with cream and fresh fruit, all types of eclairs, macaroons, tarts and pies. The owner was very warm and welcoming and gave us a sign to walk in as 'looking doesn't cost a thing'. Me being me, I ended up buying apple pie and two strawberry tarts as well as pistachio and raspberry macaroons. Honestly delightful, fresh and skillful patisserie with every mouthful. The tart pastry in particular is worth highlighting: very fragrant, buttery to the right point and very light! The macaroons, definitely competing in taste and look with the biggest French bakers in London. Great prices too - l would say in general, but especially for birthday cakes. The whole experience reminded me why it's so important to support local businesses in such difficult times..I wouldn't want to lose a gem like Florentine Bakery! So sister's birthday is coming up and I know for certain where to get her cake!!! :)

t. b.Great friendly welcoming place even with our 3 month old grandson in his pushchair but don't panic, it's not full of screaming kids 😊 Sit in comfy seats in a recently refurbed lounge area and enjoy real good coffee and a wide choice of fresh cakes. The "lovely" chicken avocado salad roll thrilled his grandma too. We went 2 days on the trot. The grandson insisted!
