Reviews of GAIL's Bakery Muswell Hill
K. A.
Did someone say bakery? Lovely customer service? And a gorgeous cuppa? If so this place answers all those questions with a gigantic yes!
Located in the heart of Muswell Hill, this bakery is constantly busy and has a great selection of freshly baked goods. I'm not usually one for ordering a tea however on this occasion Gail's hit the spot with the warming cuppa.
Brilliant customer service.
5* Would recommend on overall experience 👍🏼

Despite being part of a fairly large chain Gail's Muswell Hill inexplicably manage to blend into the Hill's homely atmosphere and add a bit of modern gold standard to the local cafe scene.
Friendly and professional staff, who even when the place is extremely crowded in the morning never fail to cheer you up with a joke (if one needs cheering up) or respond to yours, which is rare in our age of raging NPCs taking over our banks and cafes.
Triple macchiato in a small clay cup is particularly good this Christmas season!

Always good coffee, bread and pastries. One of my fav Gail in the city.

Not quite as beautiful bakery interior as other Gail's I have visited but the same amazing food all the same.

Gails is always good. The selection of pastries always looks great and delicious. Coffee tastes great (a bit slow maybe) but overall can't really go wrong with Gails.

I have visited Gail's for the first time to sit down and have a light breakfast with coffee. My espresso was a ristretto (very tiny and not enough water). My boyfriend's wasn't happy with a toast he ordered. He said that the bread should be cut thinner as it was difficult to eat. Serving staff is very kind and friendly. I think GAIL'S is known best for its bread. I have bought two different types of bread from them (sliced) and they were both exceptionally good! I would say 5 stars for the bakery but three for eating in.

Great food and and good coffee. Your staff are polite and friendly too

I've been going to this shop for awhile now and I love it all the stuff are very friendly and helpful, many thanks to the Polish guy who pay for my coffee the other day , as I forgot my card . Great pastry selection in the morning and spot on coffee everytime.

I've been there with my girlfriend, we had cakes and coffee. Everything was very nice. Great service. The shop looks very clean and the team is friendly.
W. K.
Well expensive, wonky tables, uncomfortable seating. Coffee is okay though.

Lovely place in muswell hill nice and friendly staff very good food!

I've been buying Gail's bread for years from a branch of Waitrose. This was the first time I've tried one of their coffee houses. I had a pastry and a coffee that was really very good. It's not cheap but it's nicer than the chain coffee shops you find in most high streets and their bread is lovely. I love the black olive Ciabatta.
E. H.
Excellent artisan bakery. All products carefully selected. Staff are very good

the best Gail's I have been so far, spacious space, noone sits on head of each other, tall ceilings and great friendly people
T. D.
Awesome coffee and great people !! Fantastic freshly baked croissant 🥐
B. U.
Quite liked it there, nice food and cosy atmosphere.
I have tried one of the bowls, roasted root veggies with feta, pommegranante dressing and almonds. Tastes good and fresh, it is pretty filling.
The breads looked really tasty, I took home a loaf of the potato rosemary sourdough. They will slice it for you, that’s very convenient.

Damien always provides the best customer service and both him and Alex make the best coffee in this Gails!

The Best bakery in muswell hill. Wonderful coffee, well-made and tastes good. The bread is as good as you expect from an artisan bakery chain and the cakes, biscuits and other pastries are out of this world. (If you fancy trying your own versions of these a cookbook is also on offer)
M. M.
Well made coffees and a good selection of pastries tho prices a bit steep
J. K.
Very good coffee and I like the spinach rolls. Bread is a bit expensive and the service, though friendly, is slow and inefficient due to overly depending on a clunky iPad based till. I prefer a true independent store.

This is a nice Gail's and a good place to work. There is good wifi and an adequate amount of sockets. Food is delicious and high quality. Had lovely pancakes. The coffee is amazing.

This branch is great. Although customers come and go non-stop, the staff remains efficient and polite. Service is great (thumbs up to the baristas - man and woman) 👍👍

I had a coffee and Pastrie bought for me by The Pastor at a local church where I attend , a great afternoon out and good food and coffee.
K. A.
Coffee was only average and very pricy. Ordered 3 coffees to drink in for £9.50. Not really a lunch menu either although treats look good.
P. S.
Would have 5 stars but all of the staff (except 1, a lady with glasses, possibly the manager) are pretty miserable and fairly slow. Sad, because apart from that this is the nicest Gail's in London
G. T.
I have been to Gail's before and has been faultless, this time I just had a coffee which was a bit too strong for my liking but can't fault the service or cleanliness.
W. R.
Popular coffee place in the area, great selection of parties and bakery, only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because I feel the prices are a bit high. Still recommend it though
N. P.
Delicious sweets, amazing coffee, hot chocolate and chai latte. 😋
I. F.
Met my sister in law there (a bit of a heart to heart).... anyway, that's not important right now... Great selection of healthy foods. I grabbed a salad and a terrific sweetcorn style soup...
A. A.
Always avoid this place, then recently decided to give it a try and omg so delish the salmon balls salad and grains. Boy have i been missing out! Sadly my diet didn't allow me to sample the pastery treats but fending them off was extremely difficult! But i somehow managed lol
G. H.
I come here once a week and I love it. Fast service & Always clean. Such amazing options on the menu 😍 The bread is so good!

A welcome addition to Muswell Hill! Beautifully constructed, lots of seating, plenty of tasty treats, and well worth the visit... I'm going to have to watch it, in case I pay too many visits... 😂
A. P.
Great pastry, but not so great coffee. Quite expensive over all. Definitely you can find better stuff around the area...
M. N.
All is great till you are being asked to pay over £3.00 for raisin and cinnamon swirl just slightly larger than 50p coin.
Y. K.
Lovely stuff and delicious breads... my favourite place😍
T. P.

Served by a lovely ,helpful and smiley young lady Marissa this morning, despite it being very early and miserable weather outside. Made a difference.
