Reviews of Grounded London
F. M.
Inconspicuous gem of a cafe in the heart of Whitechapel that is only identifiable by the long queue of hungry customers waiting outside it. Quick tip: if the queue is too long, you can always get a seat at circle and slice. Its owned by the same owner so they also serve the same food in grounded. Not only that, but the pizza at circle and slice is actually amazing - fresh, high quality ingredients with decent portions. In my opinion, the food at circle and slice was the winning point for me as I felt the food at grounded was lackluster. The sourdough bread tasted of quality but lacked butter, the beef sausages tasted amazing, the buttermilk pancakes were very lacking, and nowhere near the quality of American pancakes. Also, flavours were limited. The saving grace for grounded was the coffee - freshly brewed and bitterless. The rest was substandard at best. The pizza options at circle and slice however is worth coming again. Service is a little slow too - sat down at 11:10 and got our food at 11:50.

This is my second time dining here for breakfast and my impression about it remained the same. The service was on point, friendly and smiling staff upon entry. The crew member who took care of us explained the menu, gave us recommendations what to have.
Interior wise is very rustic, which I really like so much.
There is a wide selection of food and is vegan friendly. The price is very reasonable for the portion. I had their beef sausage breakfast and oh my, I underestimated the size and ordered three stacks of buttermilk pancakes! I ended being filled up so much!
My friend has their eggs benedict and I love how the yolks run smoothly to the sourdough bread!
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience: food, location and service were outstanding! This place is highly recommended especially those who work night shifts from a hospital nearby!

Amazing place, for someone coming to London for tourism and to enjoy food I actually loved this breakfast place. Loved it that much I kept going back as the food is just on point! I got the full English breakfast, pancakes and French toast. All was a delight, can’t wait to visit again once I’m back!
Only downside is that it’s so popular you may have to wait to get in. Best to come earlier to get seated.
M. E.
Went with the team for brunch. Very accommodating for groups. Amazing food and very friendly staff. Would recommend the beef sausage breakfast and beef brisket lunch. The halloumi fries were the best!!

I chose to have a brunch at this place. They always have a line and they share the space with the establishment next door and I got a sit at the back. The service was a bit slow. I had a cappuccino and scrambled egg with bacon. The coffee was ok. The portion was quite big and food was quite tasty. Overall the experience was good.

Where theres a burger I’m there!! Grounded delivered a spot on juicy and flavoursome burger, has to be up there with one of my favourites. Got some BBQ wings on the side, love the chicken BBQ sauce was different but had a bit of a strong tang but that might just be me but will gladly get them again. French toast was also on point as my wife cleaned the plate🤌🏽

I’d heard plenty about this brunch spot and it had been on my radar for quite some time. I mean, there were queues as early as 9am and they had to outsource seats/spaces in neighbouring shops. That set a precedent.
I was feeling basic so went for my personal favourites and seemingly popular options: scrambled egg with turkey bacon, fluffy American pancakes with berries, and a latte.
The scrambled egg was super fluffy and had a touch of paprika, which gave it a different spice-dimension. It rested on sourdough bread, which was nice and soft, and wrapped beneath strips of turkey bacon - there was a subtle crispness to it, yet maintained a firm texture which contrasted the egg well. The crushed avo was a really nice addition which complimented the dish - if only there was more of that and less salad.
The pancakes were nice and big, although pretty dense - I didn’t mind this because it offered an alternative to what I’m accustomed to, and it tasted nice with the berries. I’m not a fan of the crème, so the maple syrup went down beautifully. I do think there could’ve been more fruit, even if the passion fruit was an interesting twist!
The staff are super attentive and friendly. The cafe is pretty small considering their popularity, so it is sardine-like. The tables are clean and seats mildly comfortable. The portions are good, although the prices are still a bit steep considering it’s East ends.
I really liked Grounded and understand why people venture here (especially repeatedly) - it’s a nice atmosphere with a pleasant experience. I’m fairly confident I can produce the same goods at a fraction of the cost. Do I want to return? Maybe. 8/10.

Amazing food, reasonable (ish) prices. The dishes we tried were all packed with flavour, well cooked, and clearly made from good quality ingredients. Prices could be seen as expensive, particularly for the brisket and the French toast, however as a one off both are definitely worth trying.
Service was fantastic as well, food came surprisingly quickly despite being extremely busy.

Breakfast / Brunch was really good!!! It was so delicious! We had a Shakshuka and a toast with guac and it was so flavourful. The tea was also nice and the staff was so kind and friendly. When I'm back in London, I would definitely go again :)
A. K.
My friend and I went for brunch earlier today and received an outstanding customer service from the wonderful Julia, who was very friendly, engaging, and attentive to our needs, which made our stay a lot more enjoyable.
Our full English breakfasts were prepared very well and did not feel heavy compared to fry ups at other places. It was a joy to eat, washed down by an excellent latte. Afterwards I chose the French toast which was delicious and soft, while my friend opted for the chocolate fondant which he said was excellent. Our food arrived promptly without us having to wait a long time, although this could be due visiting at a relatively less busier time.
The decor and setting was rustic and pleasant to dine in. I highly recommend coming here and hope to be back soon. Many thanks for your time and service!
L. T.
Liked the service - although busy, these guys were on it. Wide range of options, the cocoa shake with almond milk was great and the full English was satisfying. Nice cappuccino too.
M. V.
Best place to eat breakfast or brunch in London omg !! Amazing service, nice people, and super delicious 🤤 food. The place is very nice and clean oh my gosh!! I love it and thank you guys for being open on Christmas Day.

We were seated quickly during weekday brunch but on Sundays be prepared for insane lines. The food and coffees are good, but are they worth the hype and long waits on weekends? Not really. Their smoothies are good, but small portions and rather pricey. Veggie breakfast was underwhelming but I don’t know what I was expecting.
T. O.
At first, I was shocked as I had to stay on a queue to get in, however.... When I started to eat the food, I UNDERSTOOD the need to wait on the queue 🤤 they were so nice and courteous! Thanks for a good meal! The french toast meal is a really one!
T. D.
I really enjoyed this place. The unfortunate part is that they don’t take reservations. So we had to queue for a while. I had the fries, spinach and feta omelette, and chai. Good spot for brunch.
S. S.
I alway pop In here when I’m passing for a skinny chai latte. They also have a loyalty card. Their coffees are generally really good. Been here for brunch and lunch a few times. Had to wait a few mins for a table. Little bit pricy but worth it. Staff are always welcoming. Nice quirky cafe/restaurant in east and halal
H. B.
This is my fave breakfast place! Every time I have gone I have never been disappointed. One of the best buttermilk pancakes I have ever eaten, highly recommended. English breakfast, the eggs are cooked perfectly to my liking. There has always been a queue on the weekends in the mornings due to popularity, worth the wait.
S. B.
My husband and I really enjoyed the breakfast here, there was a good range to pick from and nicely presented. The coffee was really good too. The waitress was really helpful and made time to speak to us, the chef and owner also made a lot of effort to answer questions and make time to speak to us. The decor is lovely and the quality of the food is high. Would highly recommend even if you have to wait.
M. M. C.
We found Grounded on Google as we were staying in a nearby hotel and needed breakfast. We found Grounded staff friendly and service efficient. Lovely environment and clean. Choice of food is very good, and very well cooked, with no grease on the plate. Great choice of fresh juices. The variety of cakes on offer looked stunning, just didn't have the room after to try. Will be back.
B. M.
We Visited Grounded today and We absolutely loved it! They have great options for lunch and breakfast. We were served by Ismail, he was really helpful and great service from him.
Will definitely be coming back!
Thank you.
E. L.
It has all day brunch menu and worth to visit! Really liked the Mediterranian salad. Highly recommend to have avocado smash with chili on top.
M. A.
Good customer service. Food was tasty but won’t be for everyone as quite expensive. Food is halal but couldn’t see any visible signs of Halal displayed which I’d recommend.
S. P.
We ordered the full English which was a really good portion size and great value for money. The sausages were really tasty and the turkey bacon were non greasy and delicious. The plate could easily be shared between two people if you're not really hungry. The French toast was on point and not too sweet. The bread was soft and scrumptious. We did order the smoothie which by itself was great however it was 31 degrees out and I expected the smoothie to come cold but it was quite warm - as expected with fresh fruit smoothies however ice would've been great! Overall, for the price you can't go wrong and the atmosphere was nice with people there for brunch and lunch and good areas to sit. The service was fast and welcoming. I would definitely recommend.
A. D.
Amazing food, the best french toast I have had. Be prepared to wait as it is a small place, but 100% worth it. I will be visiting again to check out the lunch menu.
R. Q.
This is my 3rd time visiting grounded. Busy as usual Q outside but luckily we didn't have to wait super long. I ordered the smocked salmon breakfast with latte and for my little one I got 2 vegan sausages with hash brown. The sourdough bread was a little on the tough side this time and the whole dish in general just needed a little seasoning. I had a bite of the vegan sausage and my god it's packed full of flavour not what I expected at all! My girl enjoyed the lot. Reason for 4* is because we ordered 3 hot drinks 2 came with out food however the last drink took absolutely forever. I had to ask 3 times for the hot drink and until the manager went we finally got it. They were apologetic and staff as always very accommodating. The owner came over specifically to our table to ask how everything was and our opinions on the food
Which I thought was very kind of him. Certainly coming back again. 👍🏽
E. M.
I have been twice, once for breakfast and the second time for lunch and the food didn't disappoint. During the weekend there is a queue outside, but it's worth the wait.
H. K.
Oh the pot of tea was super. I had french toast and my son had salmon with sour dough toast. The presentation was nice and the food was very tasty. Will go there again.
A. C.
The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was really good. You really felt like you wanted to sit down and eat and sit chatting there. I've gone past this place all the time and it's always busy. I can totally see why. The food was really nice and tasty. The only criticisms I would give (for minor improvements) are the following : a) the full list of drinks were not listed on the menu (coke, lemonade etc) especially with the prices, I probably would've ordered something else if I didn't realise cans costs so much. b) some amenities would be good to have on the table without having to ask for it like sauces for the fries and tissues etc. Other than that I thought the overall experience was really good and the food was really tasty. I write very few reviews of food places but the fact that I did for this place is really telling.
Z. A.
My favourite place to come to for a weekend brunch, but you have to get there early (before 10) or there will be quite a wait. Great quality food and its halal! The smoked salmon breakfast, full English and pancakes are our favourites. The sausage roll with veg salad is also a winner. A bit pricey but quality 👍🏾
S. H.
Love this place since finding it a few months ago.
French toast or the pancakes are to die for!
The English breakfast is also delicious.
I’ve been a few times in the evening and tried the half chicken with bbq sauce. First time trying it was cooked perfectly. 2nd and 3rd time not so great.
Didn’t enjoy the calamari or cauliflower wings either.
Not tried the burgers yet but they look good!
I’m sticking with the french toast or anything from the breakfast menu from now on.
C. L.
We went for brunch on a Thursday morning. We all had eggs and coffee.
The place is nice and the food is really good. The service was fast and the staff very welcoming. Thank you for the nice time we had there on our first day in London!
A. I.
Friendly crew, good food, cozy atmosphere. Would highly recommend it.
Do be aware of the glass door. I've noticed few people almost walking into it.
Y. C. R.
Very nice…
Beans and hash browns came cold and they swapped it out within 2 minutes
Every establishment face problems and how you deal with them is what defines you as a business, great place.
m. a.
I liked the English breakfast, with halal menu, the only comment is regarding the bread, they served toast, not sourdough bread as it should be in the menu, even when I added an extra sourdough bread they served another toast!!! Of course will ask why if this happen next time.
Generally I would recommend it and definitely will try it again.
H.
Everything was so delicious, best french toast and breakfast I’ve ever had. The coffee was so good that I bought myself a bag of it!!! Their juices are delicious too. Service was great!
M. U.
Fantastic tasty pastries and food variety of cold and hot drinks, coffees, teas and smoothies , something for everyone and vegan options!! Staff very nice and friendly.

Loved the breakfast, and the fact that its halal. Could not fault it, the service was to the mark aswell. Friendly staff and atmosphere is like no other
G. M.
Beautiful breakfasts, caters for celiac/gluten free. Came here three days in a row
A. A.
All the items are halal!!
It’s very delicious and nice presentation.
The only thing is you have to wait a lot during the weekend because it’s very crowded.
Z. A.

Great food, great service. The guy, who I think is the owner, went the extra mile making me and my family feel welcome.
A.
Amazing food and great service! Will definitely return. Had the BBQ rib, uncle burger with chips and salmon.
N. S.
Came here for breakfast while staying in the area. Could not recommend enough. Portions size were generous. Staff were really polite and helpful.

Brilliant place. Excellent service and great food. Highly recommended.

THE FOOD HERE IS AMAZING! Grounded never fails to provide amazing food. The fact that all the food here is halal as well is incredible. Grounded is my number 1 choice anytime I'm hungry. All the food here tastes delicious and is made freshly everyday.
A. A.
They serve up a great Halal breakfast. Gets really busy, so arrive early morning to get seats straight away.
Q. P.
Great atmosphere by algate east and good fairly priced for. Very cosmopolitan but not stuffy
D. W.
Nice place, you might queue to get in. We went for brunch on weekday and got stuck few minutes outside waiting for table for 2, as they keep big booths for groups only. Walk in service, no bookings we’ve been told.
Good value for money, got royal eggs, pancakes with extra eggs and bacon with fresh juice. It came up to £26 in total.
Pancakes were really good, very American style and a good portion. Quite disappointed with royal eggs, ham/ mortadella that it came with was tasteless, poor quality of meat, flat in general.
Staff members were quite confused, running around, looked like they were not pleased.
if you look for “hipstery” place for your Instagram, this is your spot.
N. M.
Absolutely amazing. We visited during a weekend break to London and can totally understand why there's always a massive queue outside waiting for a table. The food was outstanding, we had breakfast there and the taste and quality was excellent. One niggle, we asked for nutella on both the French toast and pancakes and it was missing on arrival but we didn't highlight this as it probably done our waistlines a favour! The service was also brilliant and we'd definitely visit again should we come down to London in the future.
Y.
Can’t go wrong with an all halal menu, range of foods and Exmouth coffee, herbal teas. Recently loving the turmeric oat latte, and the Japanese rice green tea, which makes a change from my usual flat white. Just love the New York Tribeca vibes it’s giving.
Not a fan of their burgers or brisket, find it really bland, but enjoy most things here.
S. B.
I can't get enough of this place. It would be such a shame for my finances and home cooking skills if i lived close enough. I don't want to submit this review because there is always a queue for tables but I cannot be so selfish.
N. S.
Came here for breakfast while staying in the area. Could not recommend enough. Portions size were generous. Staff were really polite and helpful.

Its a busy place around lunch time with queues outside. That is because the food is really good! Atmosphere is really nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!
H. T.
Lovely breakfast this morning really good menu. Staff very friendly, does get very busy well worth a visit
A. H.
Me and my wife came here just after we got married. This is where we had our first date. The brunch was luscious and the service impeccable! Could not recommend this place more!!
The setting is amazing although abit dark. I like the old style affect with wooden furniture and surroundings. Its not your typical cafe/diner.
The food did not take long to prepare and we never felt rushed even when the place got busier. The salmon was amazing and the bread perfectly cut.
A. L.
The staff is very friendly — always welcoming you with a smile — and the food is amazing! We even received two eggs on the house! Be there early if you don’t want to queue for this place is popular!
t.
Best burger I have ever had ( I had the "uncle burger") lovely relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff at a great price . I would definitely recommend grounded we went on the jack the ripper tour and grounded was close to the meeting place outside the Whitechapel art gallery.
G. O.
The breakfast was amazing and staff were lovely. Everything was made too perfection and well priced - highly recommended.
M. N. B. R.
Everything was on point. The place was nice, the food delicious and the staff super friendly. I’ll come back for sure.
H. B.
Staff were welcoming and food was absolutely delicious.
Definitely coming back again.
S. A.
Food and coffee was OK, staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant is clean and popular with youngsters
H. U.
Halal breakfast is a delight. Sourdough bread hit the spot and the Mocha is punchy, sweet and enough roast to want you sipping more.
H. A.
Delicious menu no matter when you go.
I went for brunch twice, and had two different options - both were cooked well, and very tasty.
The service was a little bit slow because of how busy it gets, but nothing unreasonable or bad, just a moment longer than you expect. The place is a little small though, so bad for big groups.
Pricing wise, around £20 a head, including drinks.
Overall, I'd make the trip back here to try something different on the menu, for all possible meal times. Great food, good service, and a good location.
H.
Perfect place for brunch. We got there at 2pm on a Saturday; so thought we would try the lunch menu, we only had to wait 10 mins to be seated. The service was welcoming and friendly, we were asked to wear masks as we walk in until we seated, Then the standard covid name and hand sanitizer station. We ordered a jerk chicken burger and brisket with chips.the food was delicious! I was so full I had to take some brisket home. I loved the vibe and quirkiness of the cafe. Plan to come back for brunch!
O.
Burgers where great, so was hot wings
L. N.
Lovely place for brunch, especially if your catching up with friends or want a quick bite

Went here for breakfast and I have to say it was delicious! Friendly staff, excellent service. Would definately recommend.
D. K.
We came around 7pm our waitress was Iulia she was sooo professional, smiley, good vibes she give us good recommendations about what what to have which turned out good but also to note that she was ALONE on the flour (which was busy) but still give us good service.
Thanks to her chefs and barista.
I. N.
Grounded is by far my favourite cafe in London, I’m here nearly every week for my comfort food. Would absolutely recommend. The staff are also so lovely
E. L.
I ordered the French toast! The food was soooo good prob one of the best roasts I ever get. Three stars because our server was really rude. When we pay for the food, there’s a mistake on the bill by mis communication which I’ve experienced it before but she acted like she’s attacked and questioned us about it. Was having a back and forth communication w my friend abt it which is unnecessary. It’s such a turn off but we really enjoyed our food.
N. H.
So what to do when your fiancé wants pancakes and you want a burger you google.
One shirt trip to White chaple later we arrived hear.
Now I am a man who knows pancakes but these were out of this world light fluffy big hand made with grade A maple syrup, the fruit was fresh. The atmosphere was nice the restaurant clean and the decor is on point.
It does not try and wow you with gimmicks it's to the point.
The burger was ace and added turkey bacon was a nice touch. The bun held well and I could consume the burger with out it or any of the content falling out
A star star
B. H.
Tasty breakfast. Better to go there before 9am. Afterbthat time there was a line waiting outside.
A.
Absolutely love this place. Hands down the best breakfast/brunch places in East London. For the price the portion size is good. The food is also halal so that's a bonus. The staff are Very welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere is amazing. Would definitely recommend popping down.
C. H.
We visited today having found this place was near to our hotel. It was very busy which is a good sign, and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent quality and served quickly by a wonderful smiley ☺ helpful waitress. If we visit this area in the future we will not hesitate to return to Grounded. Wonderful food and service......what's not to like.

Came here for eat out to help out. Staff were incredibly nice and friendly. Originally we were sat at the back where it is quite dim but we asked to move to the front which was available and we were able to do so! We were quickly seated and the food came out fast. Full english breakfast and the french toast tasted so good I miss those sausages :') Atmosphere was so nice as well and perfect for brunch we all had such a good time thank you!
S. P.
Lovely breakfast meals, good menu options (halal). My husband order fresh squeezed apple juice which wasn't that nice but overall really enjoyed everything else and will definitely visit again when in London! ☺
P. P.
Thought of this as some ordinary pub when I first saw this open many years ago. Only last week did I actually give this place a try and man I get why it has so many queues!
The burgers? Amazing. The half chicken? One of the best I've had. Calimari? Pretty good. I would 100% reccomend the place!
R. V.
What can i say....
When a burger looks this good it's hard to fault it. To be honest there isn't anything to fault here. If you are a meat lover I would highly recommend this burger.
R. S.
Loved it breakfast was amazing.... Outstanding customer service. Highly recommend.

Best HALAL breakfast/brunch food AND experience I've ever had ! Three of us adults and two young children decided to have brunch early on Sunday. Although we waited around 20mins for our table, the servers were sure to keep us updated on table availability, etc. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. I had the full English breakfast AND buttermilk pancakes (I think they're called). The portions are on the larger side and I was definitely not able to finish both dishes! But they're oh so good ! I would come back again and again and AGAIN! It really is THAT amazing ! Highly recommend.
I.
What an excellent, excellent place I've just been to. I have been traveling to London for years and had never had a Full English Breakfast before, can you believe it?!
I followed some really good critics about the Grounded Coffee Company online and went for it, having just arrived from Paris.
Me and my boyfriend took two Beef Sausage English breakfasts, a muffin with butter and jam, two pots of tea and a Peanut Butter Cookie. My, my. I will be going back for sure! Everything was so, so tasty and I'm really happy I also got to try what is called in France "English muffin" - my new fave thing!!!
Go. Just go. You'll love it!!!!
R. M.
We went to Grounded for a late lunch (yes, we had breakfast as a late lunch 🙃)
It was a Sunday and the place was so packed that the staff asked us to seat next door at a pizza place, we didn't mind as it was a better option than telling us that they won't be able to serve us 🥺
We all ordered the all day breakfast and a variety of fresh smoothies 😇
I highly recommend this place 🥳
M. A.
Forget James Manning's lame Time Out reviews; the mans trying too hard.
I have had breakfast at plenty of places around London, New York, Middle East, Maldives, etc and I can say compared to some of the so called big boys that the best thing about this place is not decor but the food is very nice, friendly service, reasonable prices and decent portions.
f. j.
5 stars for the food and the cleanliness
5 stars for the personnel
5 stars for the price/quality
3 stars for the location.
This place deliver very good brunch, you have to wait between 10mn and 30mn in the weekends as the line can be very long before entering to this restaurent.
They deliver halal food if you are Muslim
N. A.
Amazing breakfast and hot drinks, it's always busy. It's serves Halal so all good
H. R.
I love this place, the cafe during the day is fanatic, they are now open until late, the evening menu is decent too but the food needs a bit more refining. Still good value for money.
J. H.
Fantastic French toast and coffee. Daughter had a great apple and cinnamon porridge as well with fresh juice. Highly recommend.
F. S.
The food here is simply delicious! I really enjoyed the poached eggs and the turkey rashers were so amazing. Best I've ever had 🤤🙌🏽

Food was lovely staff was very friendly

Nice cafe with great coffee and tasty treats in an area of London that you wouldn’t think you’d find it.
+ Good space which wasn’t rammed or noisy
+ Great coffee without a bitter aftertaste
+ It’s a nice inside
- Right on a main road however inside it doesn’t feel like it.
If you’re in the area or headed that way pop in.
M. P.
Great food but extremely long waiting times to get inside the restaurant.
You guys should implement a time limit for the people inside such as 1 hour so that they don’t just sit there after they’ve eaten their food hogging up a table which could be used for someone else
W.
Simply one of the best French toasts I have ever tasted!!!
L. P.
One of the best coffees I've had in a while. Delicious toffee tones coming through a velvety textured latte, and a cheeky barista and waitress reminding what it's like to interact with real people again! Thanks!

Love this cafe 😍...every time I'm in East London I try to get here - at least for a coffee☕, sometimes a meal if hungry. Food is delicious, no 'spectacular' food (see menu) but food prepared with love and attention 😊. Decor and ambience is warm and comfortable ...always busy, so there's a typical cafe 'hum', a blend of chatter, busy service staff & background music. Not a place for a business meeting. Very close to famous #Brick Lane and Aldgate East Tube station. Service with a smile and happy staff 😁 Recommended.

Solid place to catch an all day breakfast.
If you have to wait outside, don't leave it's worth it.
The menu was easy to follow for breakfast and lots of good side options.
Got the beef breakfast which hit the spot nicely. Usually I expect variation in the fried eggs, but these were done perfectly.
Cappuccino to topped my meal off nicely, would love to visit again.

I went there on Saturday morning for breakfast. The place was easy to find as it was busy. At first, I was wondering if it was worth the wait... and trust me, it was well worth it! It took about 15-20 minutes to get me seated, as I was with two others. But other than that it was a pleasant visit. Place looks good, food looks and tastes good and toilets are pretty clean too. I’d give their pricing a 7 out of 10.
A.
I really enjoyed eating here. It took me a bit of time to get there but it was worth it. I had the French toast and buffalo chicken. Will totally go a second time when next I am in the area.
A. H.
Went with my wife and son. Very busy place for breakfast or brunch. Food was on point the half chicken with bufflo sauce is a good shout. My wife tried the Mexican burger its was good too.
A. M.
My favourite place I'm there all the time. Menu is insanely vast and to the point. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, salad everything. Maybe the best place in London!
A. A.
We popped in on a Monday morning was really busy the servers made us feel welcome. We ordered the beef breakfast and the egg benedict priced at around £10 each. The breakfast was amazing but the portion size was a little bit small could have done with a few more mushrooms. The atmosphere in the cafe is amazing the servers were really friendly and the decor was really cool.
Definitely worth a visit there's no parking so I best get the tube nearest underground aldgate East.
L. A.
Can't wait to return!!!! Okay so I had to queue for over an hour to get in (probably because its the last day of the Eat Out to Help Scheme) but the food was so glorious. Also super nice a waitress came out at intervals to tell us how long we would be waiting for which made the queue more bearable. Friend and I ordered the Beef Sausage Breakfast with one portion of extra eggs and beef to be split between us. It looked like it wasn't enough food but it was more than enough and everything was amazing. And even more glorious when combined together. Apple juice was freshly made and probably best green apple juice i have ever had. Service was excellent too. I joined the queue at 1.22 and was seated just before 3 but I expect that's not the case on normal days? You can't book a table but its so great to eat a great breakfast meal at half 3 in the afternoon.
E. P.
Small place. Waited outside in line for 15 mins near 10.30am on a Saturday. The workers were very helpful in letting us know we hadn't been forgotten out there and offered my husband with a walking stick a seat at the bar.
We were only 2 people so got in way faster than others. One poor group of 6 must've been waiting for 45 mins in the end.
Very cramped and loud inside. Was quite difficult to get to my seat. Also hard to have a conversation without almost yelling across a small table.
Coffee was very slow and my coconut flat white was disappointing in taste. Costa coffee is way better.
Pancakes were incredible.
Eggs Florentine was lacking taste. So glad we got tomatoes on the side for a little taste or it would've been super boring. Hollandaise sauce taste definitely needs improvement and more quantity.
People next to us ordered the shakshuka and French toast and they both looked really good.
A. K.
This is one of my all time favourite places to visit! Everything on the menu is halal and frankly, delicious. Fresh food is cooked and served by the in-house chef until 3pm, after which baked goods and drinks are still served. Food is always amazing and the service is impeccable. Usual expenditure is £7-10 per head.
N. M.
Amazing place with great food and really polite staff. A particular shout out to Salah (one of the chef's) for his extra attention he paid our family from their lovely open and clean kitchen area.
R. M.
Excellent value-to-price experience. All of their meat products are Halal which they purchase from Halal butchers. Staff are speedy and accomodating. It is recommended to arrive early otherwise the tables are snatched up. Their coffee is extremely bitter but milk can enhance the experience. The toilet isum unisex which I think is the only shortcoming in their amenities.
O. L. S.
Service was great, loved the cinnamon apple porridge, the mango avocado smoothie was tasty too but my partner didn't like his eggs and toast
K. P.
Really nice place. We popped in for a coffee before a Jack the Ripper walking tour. They had a sudden rush and because our drinks were ever so slightly delayed they were given free. Didn't expect that at all.
A. R.
This place is a local legend. Always packed every time I visit but always worth the wait too
The pancakes were delicious and fluffy. My favourite brunch place in London
V. R.
Nice place. However music is too loud to speak or work from. Also note that there could be queues to get inside, and service was not that fast. But staff is friendly and nice :)
P. C.
Good place a tasty breakfast! All halal too.
S. I.
Very good. Can be a little pricey for three course meal. They are best for breakfast
G.
Nestled and almost hidden in plain sight, is this fantastic little café; amidst the busy and bustling Whitechapel road. The food was fantastic, definitely felt fresh and tasty. A nice little touch by using sourdough bread instead of conventional bread, although I would have liked to be given a choice? Perhaps an unpopular opinion at such an establishment- but to each their own.
The place is pricy! Don't be fooled, although in an up and coming area it's certainly at the higher end, however in my opinion it was worth the price. The location is central, the food was great and the place had a constant little buzz about it. Hence why it looses no points on price. Please see pics below of the Beef Sausage Breakfast & Veggie Breakfast both at £9.50. Coffee/Tea is sold separately, I would have liked it to be inclusive but you can't have it all!
*Overall a very pleasant experience, would highly recommend for both groups or twos/alone. 5 stars*
S. S.
Very delicious Big Beef breakfast with one of the best chai lattes I've tried. The restaurant itself is quirky with a vibrant atmosphere. It caters to vegans, vegetarians & also serve halal meat. Definitely work a visit.
A. K.
Finally tried Grounded last week after reading some great reviews. It’s a nice small place tucked after in Whitechapel. The service was good. It gets v busy on a Sunday and we just managed to escape the long queue after we got there. We ordered the omelette and veggie full breakfast plus coffees. The food was good although a bit bland and huge portion sizes; my husband is great at wiping his plate clean but even struggled. Coffee was good though not hot enough. Great fresh juices. Will visit again to try the pancakes and french toast.
R.
I was so excited to try this place. I’ve been here for breakfast before and it was brilliant. I had the signature burger. Sadly the burger was watery and unseasoned. Everything else tasted yummy esp the sauce however it was SOAKED in liquid (I wish I was joking). Thankfully the chips was good and I also ordered the BBQ chicken wings which was satisfying otherwise the score would be lower!
M. G.
Nice coffe and good selection of food but to eat in is a bit of a challenge as is very busy and wait a lot to be served or to order your bill.
Overall is a good place if you have time to kill...
g. a.
Great place to have hot or cold drinks, snacks and meals.
Their americano coffee is great !!!
V. F.
Unreliable experience. Some days it has friendly personal and cozy neutral music. And some days like today,a Tuesday, they have laud party music such as David Guetta Feat. KiD CuDi that makes you never want to return.
A. T.
Great place and good vibes. Friendly staff and delicious food. Both I (vegan) and my boyfriend enjoyed a very happy breakfast. Gluten free options also available which I definitely appreciate as well. Totally recommended
M. B.
Great experience. Food was very good and staff very gentle. I went twice during my journey. I will definitely come back.
S. S.
Very welcoming and warm place. Small range on the menu, but all of it is good. We ordered a range of food, and all of it was tasty and well-cooked. The coffees and teas were also tasty. Food wasn't heavy or greasy - just high quality, wholesome breakfast.
K. W.
Great place to sit in and enjoy a coffee (before the lunch rush).
Good atmosphere, lots of big tables for groups and single tables for those wanting to spend an hour or two on their laptop of reading a book. Free WiFi and scattered power sockets could also be found.
Gets really busy at lunch so if only visiting for a coffee I’d suggest going a bit earlier in the day.
S. I.
Really good food. Lots of breakfast options. All halal. Service was fast and friendly. Tables are seperate, and there's hand sanitizer available.
P. K.
Funky cafe between Aldgate and Whitechapel. If you’re staying I the area then it’s way better to have breakfast here than in the hotel. Usual sourdough, eggs, avocado, granola etc. Portions could be bit bigger. Coffee is excellent and so is staff. Very attentive, helpful and smiling. Recommended.
T.
Foods always on point. Generally get breakfast type food. Always busy. Price is higher end, but is reflected in quality of food.
G. C.
This is London! What a great place. Wanted breakfast after a Saturday night out in London. Queued to get in, but worth the wait. Great staff, fantastic food. Full english (without any pork products) was delicious.
B. B.
Very tasty breakfasts with generous portions and high quality ingredients. Quick service despite being very busy at lunch time. Would highly recommend the Smoked salmon and poached eggs on toast.
M. N.
Brilliant place. Excellent service and great food. Highly recommended.
S. R.
Had the beef sausage breakfast, along with orange, carrot and ginger juice. Really good quality food and drink, and they certainly don’t skimp on the portions.
H. T. T.
The breakfast menu is very good, the service is great. Worth every cents I spent there, love the drink as well. Thank u
Y. A. a.
Good breakfast options, busy restaurant and hard to find table sometimes, the forget our order by mistake and talk’s around 30 minutes delay but the waitress has noticed that.then the apology and provide us a free breakfast
N. B.
Lovely place for breakfast, french toast was awesome, busy and little pricey but great for a one off.
R. A.
Had the sausage breakfast, was good hated the bread that came with it but other than that very good
M. M.
The staff are so bloody polite and nice. This is not normal in London 😂 The food is halal so eat with confident.
s. r.
Great breakfast
Nice portion
I had the meaty breakfast
All HALAL
Shame they never mention it on the window,
I'm sure they would have many more customers running in for a good breakfast
I only found out it was halal from a friend
£9.50 for two sausages, two fried eggs, big pieces of mushrooms, thick turkey bacon and beans, and a large piece of toasted bread
Did it fill me up Mmmmmmmm yes!!!
R. G.
Instant favourite for us. We moved to London recently and been here couple of times within a week. Liked whatever we had there.
D. I.
Love this place. Always one of my choices for the environment, food and drinks. They're ll great and a good report quality-price
Z. U.
Okay breakfast with similar prices to most for what is offered, however, portion sizes could definitely be increased. The most major flaw has to be the seating, especially the ones by the window which have no back support and the seats are much higher up which definitely makes the eating experience a little more uncomfortable and therefore could not be fully enjoyed. The poached eggs options look good but the full English option looks and tastes underwhelming.
I would recommend the salmon avocado on toast with poached egg if you don’t mind a cold breakfast for the day.
A. B.
Had an amazing brunch, absolutely delicious. I also was very impressed with Emily our server, she was so on top of everything and always had a great attitude, very impressed. As well we were helped by Jos who was absolutely lovely and added more joy to our experience. Hard to come by, I will be back very soon!!!
W. A.
Good food for slightly high price. Portion could have been bigger for the price.
H. K.
It took a long time to get inside the restaurant and the vegan pancakes were actually just oats but that wasn’t shown on the menu. The other food and drinks were nice.
T. K.
Very nice food (halal too!) and brilliant service. Only downside is you can't book ahead but that's understandable as its a cafe.
L. H.
Loveeee coming here, delicious food and nice coffees! Very cute place really pretty inside
V. M.
Very nice vibes, cool people. Food is good and the coffee is nice too. I only give it 4 stars as the ordering process is a bit confusing
C. p.
Great service and lovely coffee. The normal London thing of tiny tables, and the hollandaise could have done with a little more lemon. But apart from that, everything was clean, fresh and nicely cooked.
M. G.
Moved to the area a few months ago and I can safely say this is a GEM! The staff are always friendly and professional, the place is clean and I really like the atmosphere they have created. The coffee is fantastic but what makes this place different is the food which is unreal for a coffee place. Just check out the pictures from other reviewers! Cracking burgers and sandwiches (both veg and non veg options!) and the pastries are also super tasty!
All I can say is keep it up and really hope you his place sticks around for many more years!
n. w.
Lovely service and good coffee. Pastries and cakes are also good.
One of the baristas was all over me though, a little embarrassing as I'm married. She was giving me free coffee and everything. I told her I was married and flashed her the ring but she was not going to be discouraged.
It was actually pretty pathetic, she'd even come up with this whole laborious back story about 'loyalty cards' and collecting stamps and stuff. Very creative.
L. H.
Halal menu!!!
But please make sure you double check.
Food was delicious apart from the sour dough bread where the crust was hard.
Had to wait a while for a table as you get the people who spend their whole life in the coffee shop. Using the free WiFi and just sipping on a single coffee which takes forever to finish. Maybe make single stall seats for them so the shared tables are free.
The door is always opening and closing so if you sit at the front you’re cold.
S. A.
Lovely food and decor. Great Sunday brunch spot. Turkey Bacon is 😛😛
R. T.
Great place with friendly staff. Very busy and be ready to wait a while but worth it. Food yummy and best of all, it was halal.
A. F.
The staff are great. Their English breakfast was good, the buttermilk pancakes not so much.
K. T.
Great place to have brunch! Food was delicious and the customer service was 5*. Will definitely be returning in the near future.
G. H.
Great food, great prices, love love love the burgers. Perfect for any food any time of the day
S. M.
Great coffee and would highly recommend the French toast, delicious.
Z. C. (.
Very nice place, service could be a bit faster but the hot chocolate was delicious!

1st Time There was Such a Beautiful Welcoming
We Girls Enjoyed our Breakfast
Definitely Recommend this place
Do Try this place if you haven't
It's Halal💚
Y. K.
Perfect spot for brunch, excellent food and coffee. Service was pretty quick given that almost all tables were taken.
L. S.
We had breakfast there, there is a good range of options to choose from, we had egg benedict with avocado on the side and pancakes, the egg was good but the English muffin was a little dry and the pancakes was just fine, we had juices as well which taste really good, the staff is nice and the place is in very convenient location.
T. P.
Stumbled upon Grounded on a morning walk and I couldn’t have had better luck. The avocado toast was made with crispy sourdough and a healthy amount of avocado, absolutely what I needed. They do matcha lattes with all kinds of non dairy milks, and the super smoothie was also awesome. The staff are friendly and they are open so early! Deffo recommend if you want an early morning treat 😊
I. M.
Breakfast is great!
W. S.
Great service, tasty food! Lovely over all! It was all halal too so made choosing a lot easier. Staff are super sweet! Definitely recommend!!
T. R.
This place is so nice. The food is amazing and the vibe is very good as well. Quick service and good staff!

Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere and great service!

Great, tasty food. Portions aren’t huge but aren’t tiny either. The waiters were super friendly and fun. I’ve been back twice!
N. R.
Amazing Halal breakfast spot. Great location and staff.
F. M. L.
Great place! Loads of various type of food and treats. Coffee had a really good tasty too. Can be a little busy and noisy. But staff is lovely so it makes up for it.
L. G. T.
You will not find a better cafe then this. The coffee is great, the hygiene is great, the food is great, freshly cooked and served. It was great eating inside before covid struck. But wow the takeaway, the wrapping the packaging was just great. What makes it even more better is the service. Everyone is super friendly, super welcoming and just nice and inviting. It makes you wonder, that is the main the reason people come in, and will keep returning the great customer service, the decorations and food and coffee. Paid £10.50 for a takeaway breakfast and it was just freshly made and tasty. We walked off to site see for about 15 minutes, came back, no fuss, handed us the takeaway box and wrapped so nicely. This is why grounded will always stand out as the best cafe on that street. Keep up the hard work and awesome smiles. The food and coffee is just great.
L.
Great breakfast and service, looks great inside
A. R.
Foot was fantastic and the service was super friendly and fast. Was the perfect visit...even though we had to wait for like 15 mins....soo worth it
S. A.
Where should I start.
The coffee is great, the hygiene is great, the food is great, freshly cooked and served. It was great eating inside. What makes it even more better is the service. Everyone is super friendly, super welcoming and just nice and inviting. It makes you wonder, that is the main the reason people come in, and will keep returning the great customer service they provide.
A. H.
Never fails to impress with their breakfasts!
They use high quality ingredients, organic eggs, sourdough toast....
Must try!
D. A.
My favourite place... Place closes late however the kitchen closes around 3-4 ... So they only serve you drinks and mini snacks.. Just give them a call to find out..
r. a.
Great place to have breakfast. Delicious food, Friendly staff and nice atmosphere!
C. C.
Came here twice for brunch and had a great experience both times. Friendly service and decent portion sizes of tasty food. Would definitely come back again if I was in the area.
S. D.
Small breakfast place but very delicious. Sometimes there is a 10-15 min wait for a table but it’s worth it. Loved everything I tried here and the prices are decent.
L. C.
Good place to have a brunch! You need to go to the bar and order yourself which is a nice concept if you want to take your time to choose. The quantities are nice.
I. U.
I’ve been going to Grounded for few years, sadly the food standards have dropped over this time… however they still have brilliant coffee, I’d go back for the coffees.
T. A. T.
Freshly made food, excellent service, great vibes to start your morning .
S. A.
The staff go above and beyond and are so friendly the food is immaculate and so affordable highly recommend!
R. T.
Lovely food and reasonably priced. Busy - but only a sign of its quality.
M. P.
I quite like this place, especially because it's one of the few independent places in the area where you could have tea until 8PM. Very busy on the weekends, there's a risk of ending up smelling of a fry-up in peak time.
A. R.
Extremely busy so make sure you get there early. Nice chill out place for friends family or even work do. Friendly staff. Lush food. Nicely presented. Very quirky kinda place. Retro ! So up my street!
H. P.
Yummy full English that is halal! This place is always busy be prepared to wait. They have a lot of different options for lunch/brunchm definitely worth checking out. Best place in the area.
R. S.
This is the place to be on an October Sunday with friends. They have a great selection of breakfasts and speciality drinks all reasonably priced. The atmosphere was also very relaxing and the service nice.
J. L.
Delicious French Toast and Eggs Benedict. 10/10! We are visiting from the US - absolute treat!
M. S.
This food was absolutely amazing! Everyone enjoyed what they got and it didn't take too long considering how busy they were. Definitely recommend checking this place out!
R. R.
I have passed this place many times and it has always been full. So I finally decided to go in. We had drinks and croissants. Everything was fine except the fact that with all the turnover of people they have, the tables and chairs were not very clean. Also the noise after a while becomes too much.
T. H.
Good food, great service
Z. I. M.
Nice vibe. Just look at the food.
R. S.
Great menu. Been here a few times, everything is delicious. Will continue to be a regular.
K. B.
A decent enough place for coffee, brunch, sweet treats, and counter food. I wouldn't say any of these things on their own are outstanding, but it can be hard to find a good all-rounder type place like this, hence the 4 stars. Also a very good selection for various dietary options like vegetarian, gluten free, vegan, and halal. Busy, convival atmosphere, super busy on weekends for brunch and into the evening as well.
M. A.
Would highly recommend this for when you want a lovely halal brunch! Extremely tasty and filling full English breakfast. Their French toast is also great to hit the sweet spot. Great value for money with amazing service.
T. K.
Absolutely delicious! Great service and easy to order with a range of different diet friendly options I.e. vegan milks available. Lovely little spot for breakfast and coffees.
M. M.
Amazing service. Delicious tasting, freshly made breakfast
A. B.
Delicious breakfast, amazing coffee, fantastic warm service, and a cosy atmosphere.
Definitely LGBTQI+ friendly.
Q. T.
Amazing place, quality food, reasonable price and vibrant atmosphere. Not to forget excellent coffee
A.
Pancake is pretty yummy. But I came for coffee... Not that awesome as I expect. It was too cold and should be creamy with bonsoy, but probably too warm, so it didn't taste good.
A. B.
Loved the breakfast. Quality of meat was amazing, the Orange Juice hit the spot and service even during a busy period was AMAZING!
A. M.
Some of the best pancakes and French toast you'll ever have
F. M. A.
Good prices,big portions!
But we waited like 20 for the food !
But anyways, i enjoyed the food and the smily stuff❤️
S. H.
Decent place to eat a brunch. Can be a bit tight in space
K. P.
Best pancakes ever!
J. v. n.
Food was very basic. Prices were reasonable but the quality of the food was poor. Old bread, no butter on toast, flavorless sashouka, But friendly, helpful staff and a nice interior.
S. B.
The staff and decorum are lovely. Food and drinks look great. The problem is that it’s all under seasoned and flavourless. The smashed avocado was not ripe enough and bland. The muffin on eggs Benedict was rock hard and hollandaise sauce was a bit lumpy. The mango and coconut smoothie was just flavourless. I was told by the server that they make it with water... 🤷♂️
I love food, but this is not for me.
Had to come back here to edit this, as I recalled the grilled tomato. That was the most blandest, wateriest tomato I have ever had. How could you do a tomato like that? Why would you do tomato like that? Where did you get this tomato?
I’m sorry, you guys seem like lovely people, but maybe taste your food and drinks before sending them out. Just critically evaluate it.
Or maybe, it was just an off day for you...
S. A.
Nice place to meet a friend. Food is lovely . Portion size is good.
m.
The best breakfast place! Food is really lovely (and it’s halal) and prices are reasonable! Would highly recommend!
H. H.
Lovely halal English breakfast!
I.
One of my favourite cafés. The food is not only halal, but the quality is consistently great and the customer service is always amazing. The staff are really friendly so it's always a pleasure to be able to go and grab breakfast in the morning or even just get a coffee and get some work done.
Their COVID-19 measures are also really good. They have their own track and trace and tables are wiped with disinfectant after every sitting.
T. F.
Great place for brunch. Lots of options (healthy, juices, pâtisseries,...)
G.
Reasonable service, good coffee and tasty food.
A. U.
Very nice halal place slightly pricey but pancakes and French toast my fave
A. H.
Lovely cafe, coffee and food was good. Fast internet, really good for laptop workspace. If only the cashier wasn't so rude. The rest of the staff were so friendly and welcoming!
M. H.
Came here Sunday morning with my family. We were instantly impressed by the warm reception and brilliant hospitality. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast and good tea + coffee. We will definitely be coming back. Nice to experience good service and great food!
N. A.
Lovely food, amazing service. Very friendly. Great value for money.

Nice and cozy place , the foods amazing .

Love it here, small cafe serves amazing breakfast and American pancakes.
M. D.
Best brunch ever!
Y. M.
Lovely place. Although our hot drinks arrived too early - couldn't enjoy it with the French toast. Next time drinks with the food
A. J.
Great buzzing atmosphere. Beautiful coffee and food. Fast, and efficient service.

Amazing customer service, tasty food. 10/10
A. L.
Good breakfast with fantastic service. Pancakes were awesome. Big thumbs up to the Canadian waiter! 😊
D. G.
Great place! We went there for breakfast and they had great gluten free and vegan options!
S. H.
Excellent service, Halal English Breakfast and nice coffee at Grounded
I have enjoyed it.
N. M.
Customer service great but works obviously very occupied as they were forgetting things like giving the menu. Ordered Piccante pizza and two teas. Pizza was delicious and fed 3 of us well (12"). Staff very friendly and accommodating. Clean and social distancing measures placed.
D. M.
Breakfast was really nice, bit pricey but worth it
I. S.
Really popular place and for good reason. The breakfast was fantastic and I'm sure I'll be visiting again
A. K.
The French toast was an absolute delight! Many flavours going on and certainly a new experience! Coffee was strong and the fruit bowls were a very generous portion. Service was friendly and on point!
a. p.
Most intensed-fast paced-high quality-ready to come back again-address in WhiteChappel. The staff shows compassion every time you act with compassion. I’m amazed that 2018 reviews on Google still single out staff members based on 1 funky visit. Rude staff? Rude customer one could wonder. Restaurant is restaurant. Coffee shop is coffee shop, bare in mind you are not in a coworking space. Koodo if you manage to pull laptop out and fit a 5 min emailing session while visiting. Otherwise, carpendiem: enjoy your snack. Peace and love.
B. F.
great for breakfast, good selection, also vegetarian and sweet stuff. cosy and small, nice staff.
S. S.
Friendly staff , amazing burger I love this place
A. A. S.
Very delicious English Breakfast... Lovely place...
R. S.
Had an excellent halal full English breakfast and hot chocolate!
A. D.
My favourite breakfast in London. Huge portions, fresh and halal. Plus it's very cosy and the staff are very friendly.
N. H.
Was delicious but really really over priced so wouldn’t go again. And super packed for a Monday morning breakfast
Y. A.
The best breakfast I've had. The service here is extremely good, the food also came very quickly and it was the perfect temperature. The staff are also very polite and the seating was fairly comfortable. I'm definitely going again and for anyone else thinking to go there, stop waiting and go!p
S. A.
Absolutely amazing brunch at the grounded coffee company. Food was tasty and the service was excellent.
S. M.
What an awesome place to have breakfast, I can see why people queue! Well worth it.
A.
Went here twice on my 3 day stay in London. All the food we got for breakfast tasted amazing.
J. A.
Love it! Fantastic staff who are ever so delightful, helpful and friendly. The food portion matters a lot to me and I wasn't disappointed here. Very filling and even more importantly, very well prepared and satisfying. Price range is very good with lots of items priced in the £ to more pricey menu items in the low ££. I eat a lot so spent £10-14. My friends did with under £10. Haven't tried the lunch menu which is served from 2pm I believe (don't quote me) but there are two menus and are time dependent.
E. N. R.
Good customer service, great food, overall a very pleasant experience
P. R. (.
Really cute cafe! Had the salad and sandwich from here. Sandwich really tasty especially the choice of bread on them. Selection of salads and portion size very good. If in the area and meeting a friend for a catchup, very ambient place to hit up
E. B.
Great food and amazing service
Was served by newbie Betty and she was so friendly despite such busy working conditions!
K. W.
Great place for brunch cosy and comfortable and they serve lovely food. Breakfasts are really nice.
J. J.
Nice establishment. It feels very "lived in" and is the perfect place to relax on a rainy day. The pancakes are a "must eat". The vegan option tastes as good as the original and the vegan cream is delicious.
C. H.
Amazing place! We were lost where to eat until we found this cozy and homelike place. We were very sceptic because of the nearby restaurants but it was a truly fantastic experience. We could taste all of the ingredients' great taste and their milkshakes were delicious, judged from the fact that they are made with actual berries. The team was also very helpful and so sweet.
a. k.
A great cafe which serves good coffee, fresh juice, and a great English breakfast 😆☺️
U. M.
Great service! Really friendly staff every time I've been here. Food is delicious and halal and delicious. Coffee is nice and strong. Menu is massive. Can't go wrong.
W. F.
Best coffee we've had in London in a long time! Staff were also lovely. Nice atmosphere. Didn't try any food but would happily go back. Had gluten free options on the chalk board which also a big plus.
T. S.
Great pancakes but a bit too sweet for my taste.
r. a.
Good atmosphere also a nice range of food items and I also did not feel bombarded by the menu. I ordered the spicy eggs with chilly on toast. It was great, I did expect it to be more spice but it was still to my liking. Was really busy when i got there. However the service was calm and kind.

Top halal breakfast in town. And the coffee is too good. Go try this one day.
Z.
Another incredibly crowded hipster cafe which I wanted to enjoy, but is far too busy and lacking in important areas. Not enough seating, the lunch menu at 2pm looked like a breakfast menu (egg, omelette, more egg, some pepper situation, more egg, some smoothies), service was okay today, but was terrible the last time we visited (even though it was quieter). Didn't do much for me, I'm afraid!

Only bought the pistachio filled conolli but it was absolutely delicious.
J. P.
Lovely hidden gem in the heart of East London. Grounded is a small cafe style dine out, cute and romantic. If you're looking for a place to have a good old chat and great food, this is your perfect spot. Enjoy. I did!
A. p.
Absolutely delicious. Very kind and friendly staff. Cozy and clean. A must-go place.
R.
Great coffee and a very cozy atmosphere
O. S.
Awesome little place with a great, cosy atmosphere and good food to match
B. C.
Loved the food, wonderfully cooked and seasoned. Eggs perfectly done. Very busy restaurant at lunchtime, very buzzy. Ordered a Cortado, wasn't overly impressed as I'm extremely fussy about my coffee, it was supposed to be a double shot, but it tasted watery like filtered coffee and very weak. But I would try again, just because of the yummy food.
M. A.
Stopped for coffee while at work!! Absolutely loved the coffee and pastries on offer...
f. y.
Everything tastes amazing. Brilliant chefs. The kindest and most welcoming human beings to serve you, befriend you and make you feel part of the family. The standard of food never slips. I watch the chefs in awe! And the coffee is roasted to perfection! Not burnt and bitter but full of flavour and aroma. If you are in the east - there is no where else to go. End of.
Z. S.
The staff here are just brilliant! Especially the chap with the glasses and curly hair (algerian dude) absolutely amazing customer service skills! Very warm and welcoming.
The food is yummy! I never finish a full plate but the two times ive been here ive literally wiped the plate clean! Also the créme desert is super yummy!!!
5 stars from me folks
P.s the que can be tad bit annoying sometimes but trust me its worth it
J. P.
Tip: Ideally groups of 2 with a max of 4 people or you may wait up to an hour to get enough open seats.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices are good for the portion sizes. We ordered the eggs florentine with tomatoes on the side. The hollandaise sauce was runny and bland. The tomatoes were the only saving part of that dish and it was an add on. We also ordered the buttermilk pancakes which were fantastic and we highly recommend. We got a flat white with coconut milk and it did not taste good.
Overall I would rate it 3 stars but the staff moved it back up to 4.
If you like this review, please give a thumbs up below 😊.

Perfect place for breakfast a bit on the pricey side but every bit worth it. They also have great coffee
A. M.
fantastic cafe with a very detailed menu full of great food!
Serve plenty of halal options, the staff are very friendly too!
I. R.
Downsized portions. Pancakes slightly undercooked. Staff don't provide straw when requested anymore. I can understand they want to cut down on waste unfortunately the decision forced us to waste an additional plastic cup when we requested to have it as a takeaway.
The dish 'smoked salmon with eggs on toast' had barely enough salmon - I felt a bit cheated.
The staff were amazing (even though they refused my mother a straw). They worked with military efficiency and were very polite and organised. I think the staff are the best part about Grounded Coffee.
Food overall was nice but overpriced.
T. J.
Had to wait 30 mins outside which I didn't mind but wasn't worth the wait
A. I.
ONLY THE BEST !!!!! Just taste and you will see
S.
One of the better breakfast places to eat from in London. The beef sausages and turkey bacon were delicious, scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection and the sourdough bread which I'm
not a big fan of was surprisingly good.
Staff are really friendly and polite. Definitely recommend and will be visiting again.
I. M.
Nothing special, average all day breakfast menu. Had the beef sausage breakfast along with the french toast & pancakes. Was okay nothing special or to tell friends about. Good location and trendy establishment however guess its just a hype.
A. B.
Good place with cool vibes.
Very tasty coffe.
A bit high prices.
n.
The pizzas we had were cooked just right and tasted wonderful. They was large enough to share. Prices were just right as well. The staff were very helpful and friendly and I will be going there again at some point
D. M.
Really great coffee which is why I tried this place out. I popped into this spot on a Saturday morning and cafe was quite empty. Sat down at one of the tables for x2 and was promptly told that unless someone was joining me I'd have to share which I didn't mind, but the staff member was pushy about ordering and checked if I was 'nearly done' every few sips of my coffee. Amazing coffee & food looked great, but feeling pushed out the door before I'd even finished means I wouldn't rush back.
u. b.
Can't fault the breakfast, it's at a reasonable price, tastes great and a very good portion size. The coffee was lovely and the pastries looked delicious. The staff were lovely and very accomodating which really makes the experience worthwhile!
W. D.
Great place for brunches!!! The food was incredible and vibes are really cool
S. O.
Amazing breakfast.
F. N.
Great place, good food! HALAL ❤️Recommended
H. M.
Great food at great prices, amazing service.
m. k.
Nice setting and simple but good choice of food and beverages. Customer service was very good and polite. I've had coffee from here and throughly enjoyed it. However, I can't say the same about the food. It was quite on the bland side, so not much flavour and our burgers were definitely somewhat overdone which gave it a slight bitter taste. Was quite disappointed as the food always looked good and we were yet to try until finding out it is Halaal/HMC supplied although not HMC approved.
Judgement; Beef Burger slightly bland, but cooked well, crust was over done. Chicken burger was overcooked and not very enjoyable. Wings were very nice & crispy but lacked flavour. And although we asked for buffalo wings, it seemed more like bbq wings, however, did really enjoy the texture, but more coating of the sauce would go down a treat.
Overall, decent menu but slightly more pricey than what we usually pay at similar places elsewhere, which I was happy with given how the food looked. Shame it didn't taste as good as it looked. Hot drinks are very good, and customer service is on point. It may have been an off occasion for us. But the place is always busy.
A. D.
A very vibrant and nice place for afternoon coffee and cake! There is a variety of food and treats to suit everyone and different dietary requirements. The big attraction is that they are an independent coffee shop and they serve halal food and there is always a good, vibrant atmosphere every time I go there. The coffee is decent, but could so with a bigger serving! It can be a little busy and noisy at times, but the staff are very helpful. The banana loaf is very tasty and the chocolate brownie was deliciously gooey with a nice crunchy top layer. Definitely worth a try if you are in the Whitechapel area.
S. K.
Excellent service and food. We were able to swap and change things around as well, meaning it was customised to our liking. The waiter we had was so friendly and lovely, it was definitely a great place to visit. I'd recommend people go when it's less busy (around 11/12) as it's not so big but super popular. We did have to wait outside for about 10 minutes but it was totally worth the food we all got. Can't recommend anything in particular, loved all the plates equally.
A. J.
Great food and lovely stuff
J. M.
Hip and comfortable decor; very friendly service; and delicious food drinks. Make sure to try their delicious baked goods, as well as their aeropress coffee and super fresh smoothies.
I enjoyed this cafe so much that I went back twice during my last visit to Whitechapel, and each time was just as enjoyable as the first. On both occasions it was very busy, but I had no problem getting a table immediately. A great little coffee shop in a fun, up-and-coming neighborhood. Highly recommended.
E. C.
Beautiful food, great coffee and fantastic staff. Well worth a visit.
J. K.
Great small burger or breakfast coffee place. Staff was was rather cool and welcoming. It seems like they use higher quality products, for which they have representation around the store. The burger I orgered was exceptionally perfect with very tender and well grilled chicken. It was very sousy, which I persanally prefer every day of the week. And came with supplementary salad, because I didn't order chips.
N. C.
We had a lovely breakfast for four - the coffee was strong and the food served in good proportion to the price. The dishes were delivered really quickly and the atmosphere was casual and relaxed. I'd happily recommend this cafe to others!
J. A.
So tasty. I ordered through the Uber eats app. Its not the same I would so recommend eating inside.
H. J.
A proper english breakfast in london made with good organic ingredients, great for a hangover
l. f. e.
Tasty with a nice personal. I was surprised: the fruits are fresh, the coffee and cappuccino are made by a truly italian guy, the quality of the food is nice, the price also (I took orange juice, cappuccino, pancakes and yogurt wow for 17 pounds). The wifi works well, the atmosphere is nice with a cool music. 15 minutes to sit in 3 people. Recommended.
S. M.
Just had latte chai and chocolate fondant and was excellent!!
E. S.
I come here occasionally and I like the food and coffee here.
Customer service could be improved. The same waitress was very rude to me couple of times. She spilled the coffee a bit and I only asked for a tissue, it’s not a big deal. She brought me a new saucer and her attitude was very snappy. I didn’t get a tissue I asked for so I got up and took it myself. In the meantime she said to my friend that she’s not here for “this” and walked away. We felt very uncomfortable.
A. T.
The best coffe in the area. O love the fact that they have a great range and serve everything from amazing flat whites to drip coffees. More so the food is amazing and if you get the chance I'd recommend either the French toast or the pancakes :).
K.
I visited Grounded yesterday, on a rainy Sunday morning and even though it was very busy the staff still managed to find me a place to squeeze in. There was one member of staff (i didn't catch his name unfortunately, but he had an American accent and a hair bun!) who made me feel so welcome and couldn't have done more to help. I had had a bad morning, and he put a smile on my face.
I had the vegan avocado toast which was delicious. The avocado was so fresh. I also got to try the blueberry and lemon drizzle cake (thanks again to the mystery staff member!) which went perfectly with a cup of tea.
The atmosphere felt really cosy with the rain coming down outside and I was able to read my book. It was busy but not too noisy, just a bit of a buzz in the background. I really enjoyed my visit here and will definitely be coming back next time i'm in London.
i.
Great local food. It's a must place to go to in London
K. M.
Good breakfast, halal too! However i would definitely recommend chicken sausages be added to the menu.
The tea, beans and egg were great. Loved the hash browns and mushrooms. Good atmosphere and service overall.
J. A.
Great food, great service highly recommended
R. A.
I went for brunch and ordered the beef breakfast and it was really nice I really enjoyed it. The only downside is that sourdough bread was really tough to cut with the knife they provide. Apart from that everything was delicious. Thank you
L. M.
Went for a Sunday breakfast to Grounded. They don't take reservations so you've to likely queue for a place. However, it goes really fast so we waited for approx 15min. The flat white was really good, the eggs Royale (poached eggs with salmon) unfortunately not so much. It was cheap "supermarket salmon" in a big quantity. The "normal" bread was decent, but the glutenfree bread was not nice at all. Overall, it's a nice place for a quick breakfast if you are on that area, otherwise, Ozone etc are much better options.
T. M.
Excellent place and lovely staff. Food was quickly served and very hot. Gets very busy, so be careful at peak times. Does an excellent breakfast, poached eggs were cooked to perfection
G. N.
Lovely staff, delicious food! Scrambled eggs were amazing!
M. S.
The staff were helpful in making sure I got a table to sit at (when I arrived, everywhere was full) and took my order at the bar while I waited. The part that attracted me is the full wall of window doors that are opened on nice days, allowing a beautiful breeze and sunlight to permeate.
Not a massive space, but has really comfortable booths for parties of 4. As other reviews have mentioned, there is a good selection of sweet treats and they seemed hearty! I found it was a little overpriced, so I stuck to the coffee.
M. M.
Best pancakes I had in London and amazing coffee. Very good avocado on toast and great bread. Used to be a nice quirky cafe but now is perfect. What a treat for Whitechapel/Aldgate!
C. A. F.
Here you get really good coffee from own roasting and great breakfast. Fresh, organic and homemade! The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would come back anytime when I’m in London. So bad we don’t have you in Cologne.
H. S.
My favourite local coffee place - the staff are all so friendly. Eggs on sourdough toast is amazing, although make sure you get a steak knife because the crust is thick! Unfortunately I always avoid this place at the weekends as it's always packed.
M. G.
Quality coffee, amazing breakfasts and cosy atmosphere. Love at first sight!
S. R.
Their Signature Burger is really good.
M. N.
Great food although I find Exmouth slightly better
R. G.
My friend took me here a few months ago and ever since I have been back many times. Grounded is perfect for all my requirements for a regular breakfast/brunch place: healthy options, nice atmosphere, halal meat, big portions and cheap, affordable prices. It is ideal for QMUL students for any meal of the day. Pretty much everything I have had has been delicious: the scrambled eggs, omelettes, poached eggs, french toast, pancakes, bircher muesli and even the burgers! The only thing I haven't enjoyed would be the mango and avocado smoothie, but that's pretty much personal taste. Service depends on the day- I've had really helpful staff and also really lazy and rude staff. But I'll take the risk as Grounded continues to be my favourite place for a local brunch :)
L. T.
Best pancakes and best breakfasts = all the staff are really great. Definitely going back.
R. D.
Bit cramped inside but the beef brisket was lovely, would recommend. Halal!
E. R.
Great breakfast. Could be better ventilation.
S. I.
Great breakfast. Large portion. Good quality and flavour. Just get there early to ensure you get a seat as it can get busy and you may have to wait but staff are very helpful and accommodating!
A. T.
Cute place indeed! I had a salmon quiche and apple salad + coffee & a pasteis for dessert. My salad was crisp and plentiful as a "side" to my quiche. The quiche was salty and filled with bell peppers which is just how I like it. The pasteis was warmed up for me but it was so hot, it became a bit difficult to eat.
a. h.
The food is really fresh and sooo good,
The cook are doing a very good job.
All the staff are very friendly.
I'm going to this place very often and I never been disappointed !
I highly recommend the place.
I. N.
The Beef sausage breakfast was nice. Really good and friendly staff. A little overpriced
S.
Hearty and delicious. Queue moves quickly.
N. V.
Really wonderful little place. Very cosy atmosphere and service was lovely. The food is very reasonable for the price, especially the Mac and cheese.
M. C.
Awesome coffee and great food. Brunch menu is fabulous but be warned about the long queues!
D. M. J.
A very sweet spot for breakfast, all types of dietary requirements served, full meat, veggie, vegan.
Turkey Bacon. Vegan Pancakes. Stunning coffee with all sorts of milk choices. YES🌷
M. K.
I’m a regular customer and the one time I pop in with the Mrs for lunch and they try and stuff us on the tables behind the door, while there’s empty tables inside. I understand they’re for groups, but I’ve been before and got those seats. - thank you for the quick reply and addressing the issue, I updated the rating.
M. A.
Good place to start your day with a full English breakfast, staff is friendly!
V. R.
What a gem!!!! Amazing food and a great atmosphere
T.
Lovely hipster vibe, feels homey. The breakfast was great, especially the sausages from the English breakfast. Great tasting fresh orange juice and coffee to fuel you through the day
L. B.
Great coffee, abundance of food, either pre made snacks such as muffins and sandwiches. But they also have hot brunch on the weekends, they have a couple of vegan friendly options for brunch. The ambience is great too.
T. W.
Quality coffee and a wide selection of breakfast and lunch snacks
Y. G.
Very fresh, well made food
A. M. A.
Grounded is one of our usual places for brunch. The food is really tasty, especially the full English options, as well as chia seed pots and the cakes. It's extremely busy, especially on weekends and super popular with travellers so expect to queue unless you go early. The staff is super nice and the take away food and cakes are worth considering before you order. The coffee and tea options are outstanding. They also sell some products (pukka tea, rude health mylks, peanut butter) as well as coffee making accessories.
C. O.
Had their English breakfast. It was alright.
s. m.
Delicious French toast and cappuccino, very accommodating staff who helped arrange seating for my friend with a pram on a very busy Sunday morning. Decor was fab and searing was very comfortable. Average prices.
P. B.
One of the most underrated place I've ever seen! This is the place to have a nice breakfast or a good lunch.
There is a ton of food served, the quality is nice and the staff is incredibly welcoming!
Also most of the staff speak at least English and French, so it's definitely a good place for people having a hard time speaking English!
J. H.
Great wholesome foods. Breakfast is excellent.
A. C.
Absolutely delicious food. The best brunch we have ever had at a fantastic price. We were shocked that despite it being super busy we managed to get the food so quickly!
S. D.
I have visited Grounded a number of times, typically for brunch but today I visited for an early evening quick dinner.
I ordered the goats cheese quiche and one salad side. The chap behind the counter asked for confirmation 3 times as to what I wanted within the space for 1 minute. I found that really bizarre. It wasn't noisy inside as there were.not many people around so I wasn't sure what the issue was.
When my quiche came it was swimming in the water from the side salad. All a bit odd really.
We also ordered a chicken wrap which was really dry - possibly been sitting around all day?
The peanut butter cookie was nice but again a little on the dry side. The flat white as usual was spot on.
I would come again but a little tweaking here and there is required.
G. A.
More than expected, handmade dishes, high quality products and great attention to the customers. Had a pancake, which was super with lots of fruits, and a poached eggs and salmon, excellent. Moreover, the coffe was very good, and we are all italian :)
R. U.
Great cosy place to relax and eat or drink
m. a.
the staff waitress service is excellent all around last time I had the half grill chicken with chips it was very nice , today we opted for a burger unfortunately the burger bun was burnt which we was compensated for the burger lacked flavour and was dripping wet had missing gherkin and other things init just really lacked any flavour and had no taste, I must say the service again from the waitress was very good just unfortunate the burgers need better making as it was dripping out everywhere and wasn't as described on the menu
T. S.
I love the whole package - the roast of their coffee beans, their fresh juices, their baked offerings (recommend the brownies), and their Halal Full English breakfast. I can (and have) spent hours there just eating, chilling on my phone or laptop, the bustle of East London just next to me. Love this place.
2.
Place is too busy and overpriced. Impossible to get a table - as soon as I was through the door I was told they don’t give tables to people who come in on their own. What a way to make you feel invited!
I remember this place a year ago - cheaper prices and better food. Now they are a victim of their success. Full of tourists, very loud, doors opening constantly, not a pleasant or relaxing atmosphere! Also, no ventilation- which means your hair end up smelling like burned food.
Coffee is still good, but definitely a take away only from now on!
A. C.
Good breakfast and excellent coffee. Interior is also nice and hip.
B. Y.
One of the best brunch places! I live nearby so go there pretty much every weekend. Its cozy, food is delicious and staff members are nice! Be sure to try the french toast...YUM!
S. H.
Amazing breakfast and coffee. Service can be better.
L. K.
The kind of independent local coffee shop you read about on blogs - absolutely loved it! I had a flat white and poached eggs with salmon and avocado on toast. Coffee drinkers might not allow for qualification of coffee when it's served with milk but the flat white was perfect. The poached eggs were also very good and the toast isn't your white boring kind but a nice dark country bread. The avocado was more like a guacamole and surprisingly spicy but with the salmon and greens served it made an excellent choice for brunch.
The atmosphere is beautiful, fresh flowers on the table and tasteful choice of music. The girl that served me was also super nice and recommended the pancakes if I fancied something sweet the next time. Speaking of sweet - all their baked goods looked fantastic, too.
This will become a regular for me!
M.
Food was amazing! The matcha dairy free latte is the best matcha latte I've ever had and their off the menu, food that they have at the front where you pay, was nice too - such as their roasted sweet potatoes with pepper.
Husband got full English whilst I got the poached eggs with Turkey ham and none of it disappointed. I will say their strawberry milkshake that I also got fairy free became more of a smoothie, but it still tastes great and I liked it. Would definitely go back and recommend yo anyone who wants to be serve a full English at any time of the day
J. H.
Staff are excellent but food was a bit of a let-down. Burgers are definitely the thing to order from the menu; bit greasy but certainly delicious - all-day breakfast didn't quite hit the spot.
M. M.
Best place in the area where to have a really nice Sunday Brunch. The staff is polite. Amazing food. Good prices, not too expensive. 25£ for 2 people.
Sure I'll come back
A. S.
Great little place on the Whitechapel road. Coffee is great and a spanking new machine just depends who is serving. The great thing is the fresh home made lunch selection. Roast chicken or quiches with potatoes and salads. Seating is OK for small groups no bigger than 5. If you work in the area idle visiting it's worth a visit.
K. M.
Amazing breakfast, all the time!
B. W.
Nice breakfast but overpriced. For the kind of money their charging i would expect better produce.
R. M.
This is one of my favourite cafes and places in all of London.
I love the layout, with the pistachio coloured tiling, the wooden tables and chairs, along with the booth-style area at the back which can seat up to 6/7 people per booth.
The staff are all friendly, with great customer service, and I haven't had a problem since I've been coming here over the last 2 years or so since they've been open.
The selection of savoury and sweet snacks, along with breakfasts - halal btw, fresh juice, and La Marzocca coffee make this a place well worth a visit or two dozen ;-)
O. P.
While the staff is polite, I think the policy of not seating single customers at the table is unfair. I live around the corner and have been coming to the cafe since it opened. Being told that I cannot get a table on weekends (only a shared space eg at the bar - not very comfortable!), and can only get a table on weekdays just left a bad feeling inside. Not all of us have someone to share a weekend meal with, and many of us work on weekdays. I have no issues with the food and the staff, but I think others should be aware of this policy.
S. S.
Nice halal place to have breakfast or brunch we went as a group of 3. Onlyissues is its too busy small shop and yiu have to que up outside. One advice if you are offered the bar area for seating dont take it. No one wants it for a reason. :) food really nice.
L. A. D.
I don't often write reviews but this place is exceptional! I live in Heathrow area and regularly drive up just for their fry up I can enjoy as a Muslim. Service is second to none too. Only thing is, it is too small for its quality and some times can be difficult to find seating. Wait if this happens to you; nothing else compares!
K. K.
Perfect place to grab some breakfast :)
D. P.
Absolutely fantastic selection of delicious, generously portioned brunches - vegan pancakes, vegetarian brunch plus delicious house coffee is my very favourite Sunday combination!
a. n.
Absolutely loved it. Went with the family. The portions were big and quality of the food was great. In my opinion the price is well priced for the portion and quality of food. I would definately go again. Also we had a party of 8 and the staff were very accommodating and attentive. Thank you.
D.
Nice looking place and food is great. Waitress was a little rude and had us wait outside in the cold for 10 minutes to get a table for two. Couldn't be bothered waiting that long so after 10 minutes we left. I've been before and usually the service is excellent, tad bit dissapointed this time around.
B. K.
Good place but the prices are ridiculous. Clean and friendly staff. No parking. It's probably only slightly better than other halal cafes but at lesst twice the price. Overhyped!
F.
We loved it. Order at the bar and get going with a delicious breakfast. Best coffee I had in the area. Recommend the buttermilk pancakes! Great service as well!!
K. S.
Lovely staff, very friendly, good service. Always nice to pop in here for some good coffee and food! Always a little busy as it's a popular spot, but worth it! Definitely recommend if out and about in the area.
Z. F.
Wasn't the best florentine eggs as no seasoning and sauce was bland too.... bit hyped up but not all that!!!
M.
One of the best burgers I've ever had and lovely servers to accompany the tasty food. Would definitely recommend.
S. A.
I always go back for the French toast and pancakes! They have a good classic English breakfast too if you dont fancy something sweet.
N. J.
This place is my absolute favorite place in the whole world. Their butternut squash quiche is the best thing I've ever had to pleasure to enjoy. Staff is amazing. I'd love to go back soon.
L. C.
Truly exceptional place with a range of delicious foods including typical english breakfast and tasty drinks. The atmosphere is very friendly. Overally it is a nice option to raise stamina levels in the system.
A. M.
Chef is amazing at this cafe 🥇. Food is always on point, from the chips to the salad everything is yum-a-lichose, quality and quantity.
Great food & amazing service.
10/10.
N. K.
Excellent coffee and breakfast! Prepare to queue to around 9 am in order to eat in, this place can get packed. If you want sandwiches or pastries to go, they look fantastic!
M. C.
Lovely coffee shop. You can find a lot of healthy vegan 🌱 and vegetarian options in their menu to choose from. I had my detox breakfast the other day 😎 lol 😂 Right next to Aldgate East, Brick Lane, Bethnal Green & Shadwell area. I will definitely go back at some point as it is just a few minutes walk from my office. The staff was also very friendly and the prices were ok👌 Cheers guys!
I. O.
Lovely cozy little cafe in east London. Friendly staff, great ambience, good food. The place usually very busy and you might have to wait a little for a table, but its worth it.
N. A.
The food come out promptly and still taste amazing but what stand out are the kindness and manners of the staff, who have brilliant ettiqutte in their service. The Chai Latte was the best I have ever had so far and the sasausge breakfast was good especially the toasted sour bread. However, the bacon was slightly salty.
All Halal too
C. W.
If I have to be honest, they make excellent coffee here, and I drink coffee a few times a day, so I really mean this when I say it. They also have a good choice of wholesome snacks, which is really cool. The location is great - next to the Whitechapel Gallery and very close to Aldgate East station. I would strongly to recommend it to all Whitechapel visitors.
T. W.
Great food, nice atmosphere and decor, good service, the buttermilk pancakes were top notch. Definitely one of the best brunch places in the area.
A. O.
What an amazing place! Very popular place had to queue up outside but definitely worth the wait. Portions were big and food was soo tasty. Will come again!
S. M.
Tasty traditional English breakfast. Creative and unique interior.
C. G.
Lovely brunch is served at this place... You have to try the French toast and the beef breakfast.. The staff is very friendly... Definitely we will come back in our next visit to London
