Another new Jolene - this time in the heart of Islington! Similar to the one on Redchurch Street, this is a little shop with all the lovely pastries and coffee, but not a full restaurant like the one in Newington Green. Service is friendly, everything is delicious, and really loving this new addition in the neighborhood!

The new Jolene coffee shop from the team behind Primeur/WesternsLaundry/BigJo. A very nice but small space full of light, with a simple and warm deco, not much space to sit in though. I also regret the absence of sneeze guards. Covid or not, having customers splutter over baked goods is not hygienic.
The bread is as from the other Jolenes, very good (£4 the wholewheat loaf), there are a few pastries, I really liked the rum/chocolate cake. Also had a delicious salmon watercress cream cheese sandwich, the cream cheese infused with lemon is excellent.
Will come back for coffee and more.

The bread is delicious. It taste like real fresh handmade bread!
It’s not easy to find fresh bread in London, I’ve been looking for something like this for a while now. I’m so glad they opened a branch in Islington.
I also had a lovely salmon and cream cheese sandwich. Spoiler alert: there is some lemon in there. I don’t like lemon, but it wasn’t enough to be overwhelming.
I can’t wait to try their sausage rolls, because they look insanely good.
Service was friendly and easy going, definitely recommended.

The bake very fresh and tasty multiseed breads, croissants and pastries. The cinnamon roll is amazing. Good coffee. They are also dog friendly 🐶♥️

My new favourite spot to buy sourdough bread, their loaves are SO good! Very good coffee too. I've been to and really enjoyed a dinner at their restaurant in Newington Green, and this branch definitely lives up to their standards.

This place looks fabulous and they certainly have great reviews. I pass it every morning at on my way to work but had not yet been in to sample the goodies… this morning was the morning and I was looking forward to getting an almond croissant but was bitterly disappointed when I entered the unlocked door at 7.58 to be told by a somber staff member “we don’t open till 8.” - Not very enterprising for a new business I must say… I left deflated, mouth watering for my almond croissant! 🤤
