I personally think that the red velvet cake is perfect as it is! With regards to the taste, I've got feedback from guests that the sourness of the raspberry filling was too much for them (mostly the kids said this since they expect cakes to be sweet). I did, however, like it as it is! Each portion is very much filling so we haven't really finished the whole cake yet and only try to slice as we eat, so I've lost track on how many portions have been eaten.

I have ordered from this company twice. The first cake was The Passion Fruit & Coconut cake, and the second time - a bespoke Lemon, White chocolate and Raspberry cake. On both occasions we were extremely happy with our choice. First of all, the cakes were so beautiful! My husband said they were a work of art! The taste was amazing and light - a great combination of flavours.The sponge of both cakes was so fresh and fluffy, could definitely tell high quality ingredients were used. The lemon and raspberry cake had macarons on the top which were delicious. We were also very happy with the service and delivery, and will be ordering more cakes in the future.

Our Black Forest Gateau Cake was superb! We were celebrating our son's first birthday and we just ordered for the first time based on looks of the internet, but this cake was above & beyond taste wise. It was light, airy sponge with perfectly balanced between sugary and acidic. The ingredients must have been top quality as the cake kept moist & tasty after the party too. We ordered the 6" cake but it was enough for 12 portions so our 8 guests were very happy an impressed by this tall beauty of a cake! Thanks a lot Victoria who handled our order and was very professional in arranging delivery time & advised us on portion sizes. We will be ordering again and so should you if you want the best!

The cake was delivered today and I just finished my slice of it. It was a surprise gift for my sister's birthday and she absolutely loved it - Red Velvet is her favourite and she found yours to be different, delicious and with just the right amount of sweetness and tartness (the unexpected raspberries)...and the macaroons, as visual toppings, were just as yummy (and this is from someone that's never been a fan of them previously) - and I also thoroughly enjoyed it too, agreeing wholeheartedly with her comments. Will definitely be ordering again - now just have to quickly think of when my next event/occasion is, hmm?!!

This was the best cake me and my guests have ever had! Simply amazing. Not only did it meet our expectations, it actually surpassed our expectations and is definitely worth every penny it costs. The cake looked awesome and tasted even better. If there is anything I may want to amend is possibly having the crunchy layer be thicker, but I understand it will increase the costs and it is best that prices are reasonably set to attract new customers, as for me no matter the price I will always be a customer, the cake was just that good. It served seven of us comfortably for two days. We all loved that it seemed like it was a family run business, the customer experience is amazing and the cake looked as advertised. All the guests asked me about the cake, where I got it from and where did I find you. Will definitely purchase from here on upcoming occasions. Finally, a huge thank you to Victoria and Andre for their passion which can be tasted through the cake!

We ordered the black forest gateau and absolutely loved it, it was really delicious. It went above and beyond our expectations. It looked and tasted fabulous. I wouldn't change anything about the taste of the cake, maybe the only small adjustment could be that the cake not be so tall but a bit more wide as it was harder to cut / store and divide into pieces properly. However that is a very small point, overall it was one of the best cakes I have ever eaten and I will definitely be ordering from you again in the future.

Victoria's cake was so delicious! It was really soft and had just the right amount of sweetness, which I feel has always been an issue in cakes we've brought from others in the past. It had a really soft and unique pastry-like texture and a really good cake to cream ratio!!! I didn't even get a decent picture of the cake because it was gone in seconds :D I would highly highly recommend buying from London cakes and bakes! Simply faultless. I am not usually a fan of cake; it's always either too sweet or too rich or, more often than not, both. This cake was perfect. The cake pistachio and raspberry is really tasty and I like the contrast between the sweetness of the cake and buttercream, and the acidity of the raspberries. The cake is really moist and the flavour of the pistachio is not too overpowering! My dad ordered the cake for my birthday from Germany, and the delivery went well!

The profiteroles were delicious and had kept their shape amongst all the cream. The flavour of the entire cake was really good and it was light and not too sweet which we really liked. We got around 8 rather generous portions but could have definitely stretched it to 10. There is nothing that I would change about the cake. It was perfect and I would definitely order again. The delivery was on time and the delivery man was very nice and advised me on what to do with the cake in order to get the best out of it considering we were eating it a little later in the day. I will be recommending London Cakes and Bakes to my friends and family if they are looking for a cake that's a bit extra special.

The Black Forest gateau was absolutely delicious! So well presented and inviting. Really well done! My guest particularly appreciated the fact that it was sweet and sour just enough. Very light and moist the right amount. I’m quite fussy with cakes and you guys really made me happy, as well as the birthday boy! Very often you get an astonishing design but as soon you you try the cake it’s either too sweet or too heavy or even worse, too dry. So I feel like this one nailed it. We were 7 people and had half of the cake and were more than happy to nibble on the leftovers the next day. Also, thank you for the instructions given. The gentleman that delivered the cake was kind to explain everything. We left the cake out for about 2 hours to make sure it releases all the flavours. I will definitely order again when another occasion presents itself!

Cake To Absolutely Die For!! I ordered The Strawberry Cloud Cake for my partner’s 50th Birthday for Collection. Communication between Victoria and I... was quick, clear and informative. Questions asked with regards to organising collection time and keeping the cake fresh were all answered. The cake itself was exquisitely beautiful and was undeniably the best cake I have eaten (that’s no lie!). The perfect balance of filling, light sponge and butter cream and it is not overly sweet... it was delectable! Closing note... We really enjoyed the Chocolate Guinness cake , it wasn’t too sweet or too heavy/rich which was we were worried about when ordering. The cream was nice and light with a fresh vanilla flavour. It also looked great, very well presented, appetising and even though it was huge :) it held together well when cut. We also like how it came delivered and kept cold and fresh, with the chap delivering giving us very clear instructions on when to remove it from the fridge etc...

I placed this order from Australia. It was a difficult decision as there was just so much to choose from they all looked wonderful. I placed the order only a few days prior to the celebration day over the busy Easter weekend and the cake arrived totally intact and on time. Victoria was able to create a cake with the flavours I wanted, taking different features from her menu and it worked out perfectly. Chocolate Guinness and Irish Baileys cream cake I ordered a 6" cake for my lockdown wedding in October and I cannot reccomend this bakery and cake enough. I could tell that Victoria was very passionate about helping us to make this cake very special for our big day. Delivery was very easy to arrange and this was done very promptly. The driver was very covid aware also and kept social distance in mind. I can tell you that there was not one crumb left of this cake and there was genuine silence while our guests pleasantly indulged. Everyone demanded to know where they could order one from and I will definitely be using this very friendly bakery again for any event or birthday. Personally we couldnt have received a more perfect cake.

Victoria has created an amazing birthday cake for my friend. Cake was absolutely beautiful and elegant! Everyone was amazed by such a stunning design. We ordered chocolate sponge cake with Chocolate ganche and Rasberry compote. It was delicious. Not so sweet. Sponge was so light, chocolate ganche was so creamy yet not too sweet. I received a surprise birthday present of this gorgeous black forest gateau yesterday. It looked incredible, beautifully and tastefully decorated with whole dark cherries, dark chocolate and gold leaf. I'm pretty fussy about cake, and since this was so beautiful, I was expecting to be slighly let down by the taste. Gosh, was I wrong. This was perfect. Lots of layers - not too sweet - juicy and moist - enough cream to taste indulgent without being over-rich - it was fruity, chocolatey, balanced and delicious. And friendly delivery by hand. Victoria baked an absolutely amazing cake for my girlfriend's birthday. It was a large 2 tier chocolate birthday cake that was customised to my order. She was helpful by e-mail and provided input into helping me design a cake that would look and taste amazing (bearing in mind I contacted her only 2 weeks before her birthday!). Even better was that the cake was extremely reasonable in price and much cheaper than other larger companies, for a larger much better cake (complete with customisation). Vita makes the most incredible cakes! Victoria’s double chocolate Black Forest gateau is an elegant and contemporary take on the traditional Schwartzwälder Kirschtorte, and it is marvellous... Think layers of lavish chocolate sponge with rum soaked cherries and glorious whipped chocolate ganache. Victoria takes a thoughtful and artistic approach and she was wonderful to work with in designing my cake.
