A lovely pastry shop and cafe restaurant on Portabello road Notting Hill . Elaborate pastries and breads and sandwiches . Very pleasant dine in inside as well . High level but not too expensive . Had the tropezian cake which was great ( see photo ) . Has custard inside . Madeleines were great as well .

LEMON TART at 📍 @maison_puget_french_bakeries Rating: 🤩🤩🤩 Cult status Thoughts 💭 We have a new favourite lemon meringue tart in the world. We saw it in the window on Portobello road and just new it was good. Just didn’t expect it to be THAT good. The meringue was the best I have ever tasted, thick curd and a delicious buttery tart base.

I've been here once before the pandemic and it was so great. Even started following on IG:) But this weekend we spent there at least a half an hour. We chose a lovely Salmon quiche from the showcase window after standing in line for about 7 minutes on a Sunday morning, not too bad at all, but then we were asked if we'd like it to be warmrd up. 'It would take 4-5 minutes.' So, sure! Yum! Well, after 20(!) minutes of waiting outside in the wind (while my husband decided to go and get us coffee in the meantime from some place else) I got the quiche, barely warm on the tip of the quiche, and the rest of it was cold and even a little frozen in the inside. So disappointed from the experience. BUT! The taste of the quiche was out of this world. Amazing. Feels like fresh ingredients were put into it, including a fresh salmon instead of a pre frozen one.

Delicious .... very tasty french bakery ! You have to stop there to sit and try one of those pastry ! Very large range of sweet options. Several speciality of the day or of the moment. I tried a salted caramel, chocolate and spéculos pie ... :)! We also tried the classic lemon pie which was very light and tasty ! And you can grab a baguette - from a traditional one to one with tournesol to bring back home. Thank you for your creativity.

Really enjoyed the cakes we had. The server was really nice and friendly. It is a little on the expensive side but definitely recommend the ones in the picture. (couldn’t pronounce the names so I just chose by pointing)

The bread is up there and truly makes me feel back in France. Although I may have been unlucky with the freshness of some of the pastries I’ve tried before, Maison Puget truly appreciate customer feedback and did not deceive me the next time when I came for their Galette des Rois! Also, I warmly recommend their Paris-London and their version of the Opera. 😋 They have the widest selection of pastries in there so everyone can be sure they’ll find something to their taste!

I'm french myself and really enjoyed this bakery, they have a great selection of pastries, viennoiseries and breads. Staff is also french which is great. You can also eat in with a coffee or a tea. Price are on the high end but the food quality and presentation is really great.

Wonderful!! After seeing such delicious food in the window we decided to stop in to get sandwiches for a day trip. They hadn’t made sandwiches yet, but quickly set to work and had four sandwiches special made for us at 7:15 am. We also got a quiche and baguette. Everything was wonderful. Great quality sandwiches and cakes at reasonable price

Sorry to see some poor reviews here of Maison Puget. I live nearby and go here often. It’s a proper, authentic french bakery, amazing breads and tartes. Since the lock down Ive been getting take-away bread quite regularly and it’s always fresh, often warm from the oven. Lots of french people go here as I’ve heard the staff speaking french to customers! Funny that someone would compare a one-off, authentic bakery to a mass produced product like Gails. No comparison in my books.

Lovely food, the waiter was excellent, but had to pay extra for milk with English tea! NEVER had that before, plus a service charge, I would prefer to give the waiter the tip of my choice. My daughter and I went to the toilet after paying, and joked that they had toilet rolls, as we were leaving a very rude member of staff accused us of stealing theirs!

The place is conducive for tourists and the like. The pastries looks stunning and tastes very good. You need to pay for the service charge which I am not a fan of. This was my first experience trying the Viennoiserie and Patisserie à Maison Puget - I had a vanilla flan, une tropezienne and un chausson au pomme - Well it was so amazing to taste, such quality and finger licking gourmandise. I say merci beaucoup to the chef patissier... Excellent brunch!!! We stopped there for a quick lunch and were lucky enough to get a table straight away (this place is always crowded!). We ordered the "oeufs maison Puget" a croc monsieur and fresh orange juices and everything was really delicious. Large portions, very filling and prices were really reasonable. I'm french and always stop there for french specialities like flan, galette des rois or a proper baguette and have never been disappointed so far. There are a few comments about the service being bad. Well honesly in my experience they were ok and as long as the food is great I'm happy because that's why I'm going there in the first place :-) will definitely come back!

I went on monday to this bakery late in the afternoon wanted to have small snack and a tea. Everything was lovely till the gentlemen brought us the bill. Politely asking us to leave even if my plan was to stay until the closing. Very nice place and amazing food, but you should tell your customers that they've to leave half an hour before the shutdown.

I am a pastry connaisseur. I am exceedingly picky about my baked goods, and I'm always in search of the best croissant. So it means something when I say that this place has the best pastries I have ever had. Anywhere. It deserves 6 stars. If I lived anywhere near here I would get fat from eating here all the time. I have not eaten here but I do purchase organic bread from here on a weekly basis. I’m someone who maybe bought bread 2 times in the last 4 years until this bakery opened. Now I buy bread weekly. You can taste the high quality, no chemical end result. they have a wide selection of breads and pastries but also offer specials. eg. turmeric bread, bread with garlic baked into it or olives. if you ever do need to get bread, this is the place. The only downside is that some of the servers are very slow. Like very slow. But there are a few who are amazing. So, I won’t remove a star.

The baguette is just like in France (and I am French, so I know what I am talking about) and reasonnably priced for London. There are also some nice cakes and patisseries. I really liked the Paris-London. I didn't find their eclairs as good (they're not bad though). I've visited 3 times and I will visit again. The staff is also very nice. The only downsize is having to fight with the Portobello Road crowds to go there on the weekend.

Probably the best “pain au chocolat” in the UK ! The quality of the bread is also excellent. Thank you to all the team, our breakfasts have improved since you settled in.

It's pricey. About 3.50 for a loaf of country bread but it lasts you all week, and actually tastes like bread. It never really goes to waste even if you're not much of a bread eater since even if it's dry, you can make pain perdu with it. Definitely recommend, so glad I don't have to buy kingsmill anymore...

Initially found this disappointing and very expensive. Gave second chance and bought a different loaf i was initially charged £6 despite label saying £4-50. When I queried it, I was told the label was wrong but they would charge that price and it was expensive as it wasn’t mass produced. Nor, I said, are the loaves in other bakeries along the road. ‘You can go to them then.’ And so I will. Bland loaf, silly price.

It is not easy to find real bread in London, isn´t it? Well, you will find it here. Best bread I have tasted in this city, as simply as that. Sweets and pastries are also excellent. It may look a bit expensive, but totally worth it!
