Lots of reviews citing poor service, however, as someone who has just gone in for the one coffee and pastry, I can only say positive things about the lovely staff member who served me and the quality of the beverage and pastry. Visually, its also really nice looking too. Happy to go again.

Lovely afternoon with my friend. Patisserie always have yummy treats!! I miss going out for afternoon tea! But now that lockdown has been lifted I am looking forward to more afternoon at Patisserie. Friendly staff and yummy cakes! What more can you ask for!!!

Poor way to serve an afternoon tea, which was fulfilling but didn't look so nice at first glance (a decorated plate would have made the difference for example). Poor service, there was only one guy (very nice) serving the tables. Wasn't the best experience

🥞🍓🫐👍👍 🍳🥓🍄🍞🍅👍👍 (Edit: have just been reading the reviews and didn't experience any of the issues some have raised; eating in, the service was timely and friendly and the all day breakfast was excellent - everything was genuinely cooked to perfection and the flavours were spot on. The pancakes were demolished by a 3-year-old and the croque madame was well received too. Will be returning, so will be prepared to revise if necessary but faultless tbh)

Set to the east side of the plaza this patisserie franchise is now well established .as a rendezvous for the lunch crowd as well as for afternoon teas The lunch service has always been slow thus my four star rating, otherwise I am happy with the way things are

Not bad. The cakes are tasty, but my mum and I weren't fond of the afternoon tea; the sandwiches were really dry. The bread tasted a little stale. Birthday cakes from here are top notch though and they tend to do giveaways on their Facebook, if you care to try. Once a waiter spilled coffee on me, but it wasn't super hot and mistakes happen; they immediately brought me a tea towel too. Service is generally really friendly, but a couple times I've been and had staff at the counter ignore me to chat to colleagues about their weekend which is a bit irritating when you just want to get a takeaway coffee.

We had a baby shower today in Patisserie Valerie and the staff was very helpful, they connected some tables for us and it was great! There is baby changing facility which is must for those with babies. Also lovely cakes, we got single pieces selection of 12.It was very cosy and warm. Thanks so much for everything! Best, Eleni

3.4/5 - Overall I enjoyed my visit to Patisserie Valerie but it did fall down in a number of important places that would mean that I wouldn't return. I ordered the hot chocolate with whipped cream (£3.55) and though it was tasty, it was warm rather than hot. Also, for the price (I'm comparing to other coffee shops like Starbucks, Nero, Costa, independents etc) it was quite small (Equivalent to small size in other chains). They also had 2 menu's in the store which looked almost identical but had different prices on (possibly old menu's?) which created some confusing when it came to paying. The look and decor of the store is second to none (Apart from the very worn chair seats) But is not matched by the staff's attitude - Thus, the last point was that the staff were not particularly friendly. When they brought our drinks over, the person almost slammed out drinks down mid stride, said "enjoy" all while still walking without even looking at us. That one thing alone ruined the experience for me. Even my friend who I was with commented that that sort of service didn't match the look or price of the place. Overall I would not recommend to go here.

Lovely place. Excellent place for a spot of tea and a piece of cake break whilst shopping. I have had afternoon tea here also - pretty decent I must say. Only two doors away from the cinema. The staff are courteous. Even though kids are welcome, in my opinion the environment is more for adults really and thats a good thing - not so noisy!

Sadly this used to be great but has gone downhill since the change of management and introduction of new menu a couple of years ago. I ordered a veggie croque Madame, was served one with ham instead. Thankfully noticed it and got it changed. The portions of mains AND cake slices have become smaller than what they used to be two years ago. Used to be our favourite cafe in Wimbledon back in the day..

I went here on a Monday for lunch, was seated very quickly but had to wait 20 minutes for service and people who came in after me were served before me which is frustrating. The food is good, I ordered a tuna toastie and a smoothie and once ordered they arrived quickly, staff didn’t check if everything was ok and I had actively get the waitresses attention for the bill. It’s a shame as I would have ordered another drink and a dessert had the waitress been more attentive but I didn’t want to wait too much longer, in the end I went to to Wafflemeister for dessert and a drink. I think the food is overpriced and the lunch menu is limited. Wouldn’t be in a rush to go back.

Great vegan breakfast. Ordered a soya flat white, which was curdled, with lumps and undrinkable (over £3). They looked so busy that I didn't ask for a replacement but sure they would have if I'd asked.

I am very fussy with my coffee and don't like most high street brands but I gave Patisserie Valerie a chance and it was worth it. The venue is a little congested but if you were lucky to get here on a quite day you will surely create an experience of your own. I haven't explored all the service levels and products in this shop yet so my score is based on limited items and there's definitely a lot of room for the here.

Lovely cake selection but the service is frazzled and slow on Saturday afternoons. Visiting outside of their busiest hours will make for a more pleasurable dining experience. Highly recommend the cream tea - their scones are toasted and you get a choice of teas!

Lovely ambience and incredible staff. The manager and waitress Monika are extremely professional, welcoming, warm and helpful. I have loved every minute of our experience at the patisserie. The company should use the Wimbledon patisserie as an example and benchmark its other branches against it.

Always enjoy coming here. Great coffee, selection of cakes is fab and always fresh. They have a kitchen so also offer a substantial menu for a coffee shop. In the past I've had sandwiches, salads and other lite bites suitable for lunch.

I love these coffee shops and especially their pastries and cheesecake. The coffee shop in Wimbledon is very well located, the service is good. It is a nice place to go for a cup of gorgeous hot chocolate and something sweet.

Fairly small inside (not good for mother's with prams), good location near the cinema. The staff were friendly and attentive. The important stuff... The coffee was hot (latte) the tea was hot (served in a pot) the cakes were fresh and tasted good (mille-feuille & strawberry gateau) overall good for a cake and coffee.

The sponges and tarts are really good, but there is just not enough customisation or choices. they dont seem to be real bakers where you can ask whatever cake that exist to be made. Espresso coffee is always good.

I was there during the Wimbledon tennis tournament. It was cosy and very nice! The cooked breakfast that we tried was delicious and I really enjoy it with my family! Looking forward to coming back again!
