Reviews of Poilâne
Excellent classic ‘poilane’ sourdough, good coffee and lovely staff. Their other offerings are not always fresh however. I bought a pack of brioche and they tasted old and stale, which was disappointing. I would recommend but with a caveat that you choose carefully.
Amazing sourdough and buns!
Wonderful goodies and fresh bread. A good variety of delicious bread and free samples should you aren't sure whether to buy!
For me the best bread in the world. Love that you can just buy a few pieces as it is sold by weight.
excellent bread etc made freshly every day.
Fabulous sourdough bread, unique in style. Not cheap, but worth the trip.
Nice croissants, but get there early to avoid disappointment
The miche is the best bread I have eaten, and that's coming from a microbaker. The rye loaf is fantastic.
Best croissants I’ve eaten in London so far and friendly staff. Coming back for sure.
Best Sourdough in London. No doubts
Amazing bread, respecting tradition, still baked in a wood-fired oven
I came here to buy their famous sourdough breads for my brother, though I have later on found that you can get it from Waitrose as well. But I was happy that I decided to visit this small place and I got the best pain au Chocolate I've ever had. I also talked to a regular customer when I was there, according to her Poilane has the best croissants that she only eats the croissants from here. I've tried it, but I still love the freshly baked hot croissants from Pret A Manger better.
Great sourdough and croissants!
I love it !!! The best fresh and delicious bread!!!! Thank you x
Favorite place in the morning for fresh croissants and bread❣️
Original french bread sold here
Please don't ever close ... I would be devastated. This place must be put in your address list!
Very fine sourdough!
Great bread and history
Sublime
delicious bread
A bakery with its main branch in France.
The cookies here are really delicious.
The simple, gentle sweetness makes you irresistible!
I always buy it as a souvenir.
Everyone will love it.
They also have apple pie and bread, which are delicious.
It's also great that you can relax and eat at a table outside the restaurant.
Always a good service, probably the best sourdough in the world, nice jam preserve and four gras, unique ice cream. A real wood oven bakery in middle of London
(Translated) It was a place where I could experience the best scones of my life.
It is a place where you can have a good experience with a cozy interior and friendly staff.

인생 최고의 스콘을 경험을 할 수 있었던 곳이었습니다.
내부도 아늑하고 직원도 친절한 좋은 경험을 할 수 있는 곳입니다.
Great bakery, I love their bread and pastries.
Loved it! The scones are delicious.
One of the best croissants I've had in London (which says a lot as this is very near Dominique Ansel). Very good sourdough as well and I like that you can get any portion you need from a slice to a whole loaf.
A strange little shop, shelves are fairly sparsely populated and the shop assistant sort of stood to attention when I came in, as though surprised to see a customer. Still, this place does seem to have a loyal fanbase - possibly people are buying the products in other outlets which sell them, such as the nearby Waitrose. Their bread is a kind of sourdough, and slightly sweet with an almost malty flavour to it - more reminiscent of German than French bread to me. Not exactly my sort of thing, but it made for an interesting change, and I can definitely imagine other people would like it.
Favorite place for me to have a breakfast
Fantastic little bakery inthe heart if Belgravia. Their bread is the most exquisite sourdough. You can buy by weight and they can slice it ther for you so it is always fresh. Their biscuts are delicious too particularly with a fresh expresso to balance out the richness.
I've been buying things from this delightful shop for years. It has become quite an institution. IMHO it is central London's best craft bakers. Long may it continue!
