Had my wedding cake made at Ruby's - had a cutting cake on top with cupcakes below and it was fantastic. Our guests (even the vegans) couldn't believe everything was plant based! It looked so pretty with the decorations from Ruby's and the flowers our florist provided. Thank you!

The shop is quite and beautiful. The cakes looks amazing on the display but I tried few things and they were a little dry. Ordered strawberry baked donuts, vanilla strawberry cupcake, Dinky donuts cupcakes and brownie, the flavours are nice and good but they all were a little dry and crumbly. My order was for takeaway away and unfortunately the box wasn’t closed probably and when I arrived home I found the box opened in the bag and the cake were in some mess because of that. Customer service was okay, they just need to make sure the takeaway packages is good and closed properly.

I ordered my wedding cake and cupcakes from Ruby’s recently and I was very impressed. I had vegan and gluten free guests at the wedding and so I wanted to make sure they could eat everything. The cakes were delicious and lots of people said how tasty they were. The top tier still tasted good a few days later and did not dry out too much. The communication from Ruby’s was great and they were very helpful when I had lots of questions initially. I would happily use Ruby’s again for any special events or just as a treat.

I've been a huge fan or Ruby's for many years. We recently had them provide the desserts for our wedding too. It was a fantastic choice. The wonderful sweets were gone in minutes and our guests still talk about them! The best part was, no one even realised they were vegan. Even if you don't have allergies/dietary requirements, Ruby's is one of the best (the best!) bakeries in London. Oh, and don't be fooled by the many many poor substitutes for carrot cake you've eaten in your life. Do your taste buds a favour and try Ruby's.

Delicious treats, great staff and excellent variety. One of my boys said the hot chocolate was the best he'd ever had and my other boy said the brownie was "spectacular"! The cupcakes, donuts and muffins have also all been very popular in our family but the carrot cake is the one for me...

Great place for people like me who has good intolerances. It's great to be able to walk into a cake shop and be able to buy dairy free cake. They also do gluten free cake.

This score is based only on one cake I ordered. To begin with, these cakes look very pretty and leave a great visual impression. The fact that they are all vegan is admirable and proves that fully plant-based baking can and should be de facto. The service was also very good - all the way from email correspondence to on-your-doorstep delivery. Back to the cake in question (Peanut butter and jelly)- I really wish it wasn't as sweet. Now, I consider myself having a sweet-tooth but the amount of sugar in the frosting drowned out the other senses. The chocolate sponge was good and I wished it was perhaps a bit more bitter and the jam a bit more prominent and tart to help balance out the monopoly of sweetness. The frosting had a nice peanut butter taste but once more I wish I could feel it more through the incessant sweetness. A rhetorical question - Perhaps a sponge cake with a buttercream frosting simply isn't a balanced cake by design?

This is the best vegan cake on the planet. A friend had one sent to me for my lockdown birthday and it blew my mind (sweet and salty). I try and stop in here every time I’m in Greenwich now and it’s always amazing. The owner is super sweet too and happy to talk about ingredients etc!

Possibly the best Gluten Free and Vegan bakes in London. Even if not, definitely worth trying lots of them to decide for yourself! Gluten Free and Vegan bakes have exploded in popularity and availability in recent years but Rubys was well ahead of the trend and many of her regular customers don't *need* to choose vegan and GF, they just love her delicious bakes. I am a coeliac, prefer vegan foods and have sampled treats from most of the London bakeries. The bakes from Rubys are definitely some of the very best I have ever had the pleasure of sampling. They are also among the few I would serve to non GF, non-vegan friends and family confident that they would simply find them delicious. My tips - If you are going to the Greenwich Market stall to buy without ordering first do not arrive late afternoon! Many things sell out. The Peanut Butter Brownie (pictured) is a contender for Best Brownie in London. Try it :-) The Chocolate Raspberry Bounty Cupcake (pictured) has the most surprising icing so unlike all the others and most other cupcakes. Try this too!

Great coffee, sublime cakes and treats.. So happy to meet Ruby too. This place is a welcomed gem to the South London plant based Gluten free community.. All the cakes are great, but my recent discovery of the mini banana loaf had my partner and I salivating for more. If you have gluten and Dairy intolerances as we do, 'YOU MUST' check out Ruby's cafe.. We will look forward to trying the plant based Gelati next time we're in Greenwich too 🌱❤️

Located within Greenwich Market, Ruby's is a vegan cake shop, making 100% plant based cakes for all occasions. They also do cup cakes, brownies and donuts. One of my daughter's introduced me to Ruby's as she wanted a vegan cake for her birthday. Prices vary depending on the size of the cake you require. I didn't know what to expect taste wise, but admittedly I was very pleasantly surprised. Texture, freshness, taste, presentation etc, was on point. I would definitely try Ruby's again. I would have given a 5* rating which it deserves for its produce; my 4* was only owing to the distance I travelled and the difficulty in finding somewhere to park as a driver.

I tried their matcha and pistachio donut today 😋. It blew my mind away ;)! I was pleased to find out with my first bite that the layer of glazing is thick. It was so satisfying to break the glazing! The donut in its texture is more like a cake, I would not call it a donut at all, but I would recommend eating it :). I am coming back for more cakes and donuts 🤩. Bravo, Rubys!

A rare find, Ruby's has an extensive selection of vegan pastries. It is a fantastic place for any people with allergies also, as they have them very well labeled. The cake selection is extensive, usually they have: brownies, cookies, cakes, crumbles, donuts, cupcakes, and various other types of pastries. For being vegan, they are genuinely amazing and . The frosting is reaally good, and I'm a particular fan of their apple-raspberry crumble! If you're coming here, you're probably vegan or allergic, and in that case places like Ruby's are really very rare and very much worth it. But even if you aren't, I still recommend it just for their excellent pastries. I haven't had an extensive try of their drinks, I don't think they were very memorable. I have some vague recollection of a vegan chocolate being quite good also?

Went today - absolutely fantastic vegan bakery with great selection of cakes, cookies and donuts. The shop felt very clean and everything looked great inside. The girl (apologies I didn't get your name!) serving my sister and I was so lovely and kind, she was very welcoming and definitely the best customer service we'd had in London, she talked to us about the cakes and shop while also asking how we were. Very pleasant experience even without the fantastic cake! We had a slice of the Red Velvet and one of the Carrot cake, they were divine - moist, delicious and great portions! Would definitely recommend (vegan or not) and will be going back next time we're in Greenwich. Thank you so much!

I was not disappointed. Made contact to verify location of pick up and had an excellent call back with a follow up email. Went on the day to pick up and all staff were fantastically friendly and generous! Helped me out with vegan cream and it is by the customer service alone that I have decided to leave this review and will definitely return! The cake was beautifully presented and worth every penny! Amazing, I have tried many many cakes in my days. Once someone says vegan cake, some people already get a bit sceptic, that it will be full of sugar and no actual flavour... Ruby's peanutbutter vegan cake? I can eat that all day long. I am actually gonna order this cake once a month just because it was so amazing. Peanutbutter and raspberry? What can go wrong? Simply the one you want! There wereany options to go for, but we are fans of peanutbutter and it was definitely a good choice!!! Only thing I would add, would be a layer of peanut butter, or raspberry in between layers of the actual cake (which I will request) . But even without that, I would be able to eat the whole cake! Thank you Ruby's ❤️
