Stunning place for any occasion while shopping the busy streets of Maidstone. In the picture we had the afternoon tea for 2 which cost £10:95. Certainly worth every penny. Great customer service. Outside seating as well.

When it's nice you do it twice. Had another treat at Patisserie Valerie but this time at Maidstone. The cheesecake was so good didn't get a chance to take a photo. Enjoyed it with hot chocolate.

Popped into the Maidstone branch in Fremlin Walk for lunch, we were seated quickly and given our menus by Adam, who was polite and knowledgeable about all the various choices on the menu. We had our fussy 4-year-old grandson with us, who had baked beans on toast with scrambled egg, while we had a vegetarian Croque Monsieur. Great food, great service and a nice atmosphere. Thank you to Adam and the rest of the team on the day.

Nice spacious place in the shopping centre. It has out doors and indoors seating. The service was good, fast and very accurate, I entered to buy a take away cake since was my birthday, sadly they did not have many to sell in that moment but the lady at the till was helpful, she took the catalog and show me the pictures with the description. I had to buy separate portions of chocolate cake and made a cake. It was not that great, I have found it a bit dry, maybe it was not fresh since my birthday is the 2nd of January. I considered a bit overpriced the cakes for the size of portions. The prices of the candles are expensive as well a packet of 4 for £3,79

We went here for afternoon tea which was bought for me for my birthday. We were well liked after and the food was great. The only reason I've marked it as 4* and not 5* is that there was only about half the clotted cream necessary provided for the cream scones which felt like they'd skimped somewhat. Still decent value though - especially with unlimited hot drinks included.

Not vegan choices , my friend ordered a bagel and asked to be heated, they literally put on the microwave therefore the bagel was hard, the staff didn't explain before hand that their kitchen was closed so this why they had to heat the bagel sandwich in the microwave. One of the staff was a bit abrupt, not sure she was nervous or stressed out, but the place was hardly busy , so no reason for the rudeness..

Visited today for afternoon tea with family. After a very disappointing and quite rude greeting when we arrived which resulted in us wandering around to find our reserved table, we then had great service from our waitress. We came across this place by accident. The place is so nice and relaxing. They not only do those fabulous cakes to die for, but other food. It was like you were walking into a bakers in Germany. Such a variety of cakes. Nice for a meet up. We also for a Christmas cake made one of them up, as you can do on line and it will be there waiting for you to collect. You want to try it as very easy to do. Very rich, but the experience is very good. I certainly will be going back. The staff are very polite and good in what they do. They also do drinks, coffee etc. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed.

Bit of a mixed bag this place. Quite different from other branches I've visited in the past. They forgot to bring our cakes over after delivering the tea and after a fifteen minute wait I had to ask the staff where our cakes were. They were incredibly apologetic and brought them over immediately. They gave us a discount for thier mistake which was much appreciated.

I have been there about four times since it opened and was looking forward to a first afternoon tea for three of us on a Friday afternoon. I was quite shocked to find a bare window display and just a few sad looking and expensive patisseries inside. Gone were those gorgeous continental delights. The coffee was good. I had expected a continental themed tea (miniatures of their previously lovely cakes) but the pastries on offer were tasteless. The scones and jam were nice. The sandwiches included one dried up slice of white bread, not good! The teenagers I was with didn't want to make a fuss so we kept quiet. I will go back to this or another branch but only if the nice cakes are on offer...especially la tarte aux framboises!

Had some breakfast here. Overpriced imo, but it's a chain so not really this particular café's fault. But did quality could be better. Everything was just a bit 'meh' for the price we were paying! Loads of space though, so good for big parties I guess.

I went to Patisserie Valerie with my children on Sunday afternoon and we just love the cakes and the ice creams, the taste is unbelievable! I cannot imagined that a cake can taste so good! But the reason that I gave it 3 star is because of the waitresses, they are sooooo noisy! They laugh out loud in a place that they are suppose to keep themselves quiet and serve the customers. The Patisserie in Maidstone is a great place to go, but be prepare for the rudeness of the employees, they can sit on the table next to you chit-chat and enjoy themselves and leaving you waiting for the bills for quite long time annoying you so much that you will be wanting to get out there as fast as you could and never come back and the manager even seems to bother! Such a pity! Next time I will have a take away! :o/
