Reviews of Bisous Bisous

I purchased the double chocolate gateau celebration cake for my 50th birthday and it was perfect! It was very easy to book it via email then later confirmed some details e.g. additional writing over the phone. The cake was beautiful and tasted absolutely heavenly! I am looking forward to another special occasion when I need another cake so I can order one from Bisou Bisou Bakery. A real treat!!!

Gorgeous patisserie from this lovely gem of a place, wonderful atmosphere and service, will definitely be back to try another one .

Easily the best Croissants and Pain au chocolats in the country.
I’ve not tasted pastries so delicious outside of France or Italy before.
The cakes are always delicious and change seasonally however my favourite is the chocolate caramel gateaux. Wow!
Eclairs are top quality and macarons on point!

I ordered a Carmel chocolate gateau cake and asked for a message to be written on it to celebrate an occasion. The cake was so delicious and not too sickly sweet. It went down well. The staff were really friendly and I only ordered it a couple of days before and they were able to accommodate it. I will definitely be sampling their other cakes.

Perfect afternoon treat after a difficult hospital appt. Hubby says the Earl Grey tea was made perfectly 😄

What we ordered: Double chocolate Gateaux
Thoughts 💭
Wow. What can I say. This was so decadent and even though it was double chocolate it was super moreish. I haven’t tasted gateaux as superior as this both and whilst we weren’t intrigued by a lot of the cakes this stood out like a rockstar and delivered on it too.

One of the very few places in Manchester, nay, one of the few places in the UK where you can get decent bread! The nearest place with better bread is on the continent ;-) The pastries from the patisserie are excellent too, I found the Mango one especially good. Croissants are of French quality. Locals, go get your bread here, you won't regret it.

Friendly staff and wonderful coffee and pastries. A welcome peaceful stop.

Amazing pastries, cakes and bread. My friend said she had the best croissant she's ever had in England! They are really nice as well!
P. R.
Great patisserie and coffee, newly renovated ready for the distant future where we can sit in
Very friendly staff; and the macarons are fantastic, as well as the croissants/pain au chocolate doing their best to take the sting out of the fact that we can't cross the channel for a holiday at the moment
I wish there was still bread on offer, but the understandable cultural demand issue makes sense

Although the place is small, the flavor is huge! I got a proper croissant here (flaky on the outside, soft on the inside) and two proper macaroons. It's difficult finding a proper croissant and macaroon, great to see that Didsbury has both now!
C. D.
Macarons are to die for as usual and well priced.
We ordered 5 cakes to share for an afternoon tea style lunch and were slightly disappointed in their flavour. Raspberry on top of eclair style patisserie was mouldy, which makes you wonder how long it had been there.
We also felt the cakes were overpriced.
Friendly staff in shop. 😊

Cakes are good when they have them actually in stock ... not complaining to much but never any stock ready . And the black forest cake is made of like hard jelly . Shame
I. P.
The lady serving with dark hair really made our experience! So so friendly, definitely will come back just for the lovely customer service!
A. S.
Lovely patisserie, lovelier staff, who actually know about the cakes in and out! And the cakes are delicious 😋. Tried the raspberry cake and the chocolate coconut macaroon was yumm!
If you are out for a scrumptious naughty treat, please do stop by this lovely place!

Very tasty, beautiful decor and lovely staff. Must visit!

This is by far the best patisserie I have been to, and I am comparing to the likes of Harrods, La Duree and the likes. The chocolate eclair was my favourite and the service flawless. Unfortunately, they do no have a presence in London otherwise this would be a weekly habit for me.
C. O.
Fantastic French pastries and cakes. Must get a coffee next time!
They are still open in lockdown so please make sure you help support them, they're amazing.
T. E.
Lovely coffee, great pastries and fancies. Would be even better if they had more seating.

Best macarons in Manchester: lots of flavour options and perfect texture. Friendly staff too.

Lovely people and even better drinks and sweet treats 😋

A top notch place. Worth going out of your way to try them.
Phenomenal execution of pastries. Many single serving gateaux and eclairs may look familiar, but a single bite will make the stuff at Patisserie Valerie seem akin to a bacon sarnie from Greenhalgh's.
The execution of the eclairs is deeply satisfying. For example a passion fruit glaze carries through with with a passion fruit creme that errs on the side of fruity tartness instead of staid sugar. One of the wonderful things about this place is the non-uniformity of every piece. Although they do keep a very high standard, if you come there often enough, you can taste the variation in texture and flavours from batch to batch, making each item unique and surprising.
While they don't have the eclectic selection of flavour pairings available at Pierre Hermes their macarons are on certainly par with those at Ladurée House.

Brilliant patisserie! Some people might consider it a tad expensive - you get what you pay for. Will be returning soon.

By far the best bread and pastries I found in the Manchester area !! They taste exactly how they should, according to my French standards of bread, croissant and pain au chocolat. Nice team as well. And definitely not expensive.

A repeater here.. the desserts are just irresistible to eat. Not only is the presentation of high quality, it’s also very tasty! Theres also always have new desserts to try out too 👌🏼

Delicious cakes
The chocolate torte was delicious light and fluffy wasn’t overly sweet and the mango and lemon was also yummy
Again not overtly sweet or too citrusfied perfect balance with a lovely crunch bottom
Only downside was the cakes on countertop weren’t covered, especially in this current environment

Bisous Bisous is an amazing asset to have in Didsbury. The cakes are consistently excellent - really something special. The croissants and other pastries are, as you would expect, amazing and the bread is beautiful. So glad this place exists!

This must be one of the best patisseries around. Absolutely delicious and clearly the pastry chef knows how to make all of the products offered. It is simply a must visit.
M. B.
Best almond croissant I’ve ever ever ever! I dream about it daily x 🥐
R. L.
Lovely experience in this French patisserie. The selection is limited and expensive, that said it’s all about the quality and taste. Save this one for special occasions.
H. W.
I love Bisous Bisous. The cakes and macarons are absolutely fabulous! Sadly there is nowhere to sit and eat, but they do box everything up beautifully for you to take away. I highly recommend a visit!
V. D.
We ordered a cake from the store and bought a few extra pastries along with it. The overall experience was good, by far, one of the best desserts place I have been to in Manchester.
K. S.
Macarons are amazing! Go to presents among me & my friends. Just what we all need in these troubled times!

Absolutely gorgeous little cakes and macaroons. Very sparse on the decor, but then that's the look they are going for. Very clean and pretty inside.

Fab!!! Just had one of Monsieur's latest creations, vanilla and caramel èclair. Merveilleux!! Worth the entrance fee..

We need a branch in leeds. More options for vegetarians in the patisseries please. Still loved what I bought from Manchester Trafford centre.

Expensive. Tried the strawberry tart which looked beautiful and tasted nice but the pastry was very hard.
