I really really wanted to rate this place higher. First, the positives: the staff were run off their feet but we're really helpful and responsive; the portion sizes were good. Sadly, there were some real problems with our visit: despite repeated calls and emails to establish a serious but allergy with one of our party a tray was brought out with several cakes and macarons which could not be eaten - they looked delicious but would have caused an anaphylactic reaction - dangerous practice (the wait staff tried their best to suggest alternatives but the occasion was ruined for that person - and we were still charged full price); perhaps this was brought about because there weren't enough staff to deal with the number of.customers, so we were kept waiting quite a while for initial service and then for any top ups for our bottomless occasion; the wc was out of commission which was utterly unsanitary and could've had the place closed down. I'd rather speak well or hold my peace but the owners need to ensure that staff are supported at busy times and there is enough cover to ensure that a disaster doesn't occur to this growing business or any of their vulnerable customers.

Had fantastic vegan tiffin from here, the pieces are a really good size and it was delicious. My friend had a brownie which she said was too eggy but still pleasant. All of the cakes etc are left out in the open and I did see a fruit fly going around landing on them.

Absolutely amazing. I was given a voucher for my birthday for the afternoon tea for two as we had a weekend away booked. It was originally booked for 12pm but asked if we could push it back slightly so that we could make the most of our hotel facilities in the morning. The lady was lovely and said it wasn't a problem at all. When we got there we were shown to our table and given menus. We were told it's unlimited tea coffee and hot chocolate with our afternoon tea and to have a look and she'll pop over and take our order. We were expecting literally a choice of regular tea, coffee or hot chocolate but the choice was amazing! We could choose any flavours on the menu and it's all included (apart from the alcoholic ones). The sandwiches they brought out were fresh and really tasty. Then the chocolate stand came out.. wow! Hot freshly baked scones with clotted cream and salted caramel sauce, chocolate tarts, brownies, macaroons, salted caramel truffles, chocolate dipped strawberries, solid pieces of chocolate... It was incredible! Definitely recommend for any chocolate lovers.

I visited yesterday and was greeted with big smiles by the two girls at the counter, They explained in detail about the cakes and biscuits and helped me to decide on the amazing biscoff millionaires shortbread:) It was nice to sit in the sunshine with a yummy hot chocolate and cake. The staff were very helpful and I will definitely be back to try more cakes.

Service was nice, dark hot chocolate was really good, the cake that my husband ordered was alright (I'm not a cake fan so can't really tell). The only downside is that the place is very small and the chairs and sitting area is a bit uncomfortable.

Thoroughly enjoyed afternoon tea here. The drinks are very nice especially the selections of hot chocolate. The brownies are to die and cooked perfectly (aren't dry at all). Chocolate bullion were nice you get one white and one milk chocolate, strawberries were fresh also and tasty. One pistachio one lemon macaroons and two salted caramel chocolate tarts. The scones came with a twist ive never had before, clotted cream and salted caramel and i have to say i prefer salted caramel to jam! All in all good experience and would definitely come again, service was good, afternoon tea was delicious.

Fantastic place with wonderful service and immaculate chocolate! There is an amazing hot chocolate menu, and the drinks are made with proper chocolate drops and an enticing range of flavours. We enjoyed probably the best afternoon tea we've ever had, with vegetarians superbly catered for and unlimited drinks.

Fantastic cakes and chocolates, this place is a regular for us. The staff are always great and the cakes are always delicious! I love the little salted caramel chocolates but they are very expensive for what they are. Doesn't stop me going back though!

Booked in for the afternoon tea, the sandwiches were average sliced up bread from Tesco. It was extremely busy on a weekend some of the staff looked stressed and not wanting to be there, the cakes and fresh scones were lovely the chilli hot chocolate was to die for, and bought some chocolate and truffles before I left. The shop is small but they have to make do with what they have is nicely decorated , scones came fresh and warm and the extra strawberry chocolate was a nice different touch

Booked afternoon tea here for me, a friend and my son. When I booked I clearly said I needed a high chair, they called me 10 mins before my booking to say that they don’t have one as theirs broke! Really not helpful. Three kids in there of a similar age and not one high chair! The toilet was also down a very steep flight of stairs, not great carrying a wriggly toddler or if you have a disability like my friend does. Also, the lock on the door was broken and there was a note on saying please knock, too scared to use it in case someone came in! So simple to put on a lock with a couple of screws. It’s such a shame as the afternoon tea itself was great but the trying to feed a whiny baby in his car seat or my lap kinda took the edge off.

Real cocoa (I love the chilli flavoured Aztec) and other chocolate based goodies are the speciality but they do other food and drink as well. The interior is beautifully decorated and furnished and it's also great to sit outside and people watch on Burton Road. Great for a treat.

Their rocky roads are to die for. I'm also pretty impressed by their vegan cakes, which are delicious and rich without being stodgy (which I've found other vegan cakes tend to be). Awesome!

Popped in to grab a coffee on the way into town was originally going to cafe metro but they had stopped serving so went next door instead. We both had cappuccinos which were incredible. I've given it 4 stars instead of 5 because I expected the shop to be a bit more like charlie and the chocolate factory, and actually there were very little chocolates around to tempt us. I dont know how she made the cappuccinos, maybe it was the chocolate on top, i don't know- but they were really tasty and I'd recommend paying a visit.

We were searching for a wedding cake and a friend recommended we try Sarah at Coco Cabana. We were not disappointed. We wanted something different to your generic wedding cake, something that we thought everyone would love. We tried some of her amazing chocolate brownies with salted caramel sauce and we knew this was what we wanted the wedding cake to be made of. She made us one of the most original wedding cakes I have ever seen, perfectly decorated with swirls of white chocolate and butterflies. Everyone absolutely raved about it afterwards. I cannot recommend using Coco Cabana to make your wedding cake highly enough. Sarah was incredibly professional from start to finish. I'm glad the wedding is over so I can now go to Coco Cabana and eat as much of her home made chocolates and brownies without the worry of not fitting into my dress.

Afternoon tea a little disappointing - expected it to be chocolate themed (more chocolates/ chocolate cakes) which it wasn't really. Also after being served one small pot of tea, no one was around to ask for a top up. When I did the pot was taken away and changed for a cup with a tea bag half full of hot water. I'm sure the chocolates are great (didn't try any), but wouldn't come for an afternoon tea again - not the treat I was hoping for.

I went to do a chocolate making workshop there, which turned out to be the best decision of my stay in Manchester. The chocolate is really good, and the owner Sarah, who was walking me through the course was amazing at catching my interest and making it an incredible experience.
