I always stop there with my peers whenever it is raining (which, lets be honest, it does a lot) for a nice warm sausage roll (which are, arguably, much better than Greggs) and sometimes a peach melba - specifically, a very tasty peach melba. The selection of drinks are always good and the dining area is cozy and clean, with a nice pseudo-modern design. Staff is always quick to get my order and always pleasant.

Cornish-type pasties brilliant. Husband says the scotch pies are as good as the best in Scotland.

The bread and pastries at Milligan’s Whickham in my opinion are the Best in the area. Also the staff are really efficient and friendly too especially the manager Susan. I wouldn’t go anywhere else because of this.
