S. S.I'm going to repeat what I said to my sister-in-law. "Like eating clouds of dough". The selection varies every month but this was our first visit. Sister-in-law and hubby went for the Tiramisu and I went for the Eton Mess. My son had the Homer. We also got the Marshmallow Fluff hot chocolate. All perfect and reasonably priced too. The wait in the queue was well worth it. They should expand to more locations!
E. S.The best doughnuts I’ve ever had. The quality is superb, not heavy, deep fried or oily tasting. The menu changes monthly based on the availability of seasonal ingredients and it is such a delight getting to experience different flavours every month!

Chocolate fudge - amaaaaazing! Not too sweet and full of filling aswell and a vanilla custard donut with chocolate pistachio fudge which was tiny compared to my fudge donut!

If you're looking for cost effectiveness maybe give it a miss. If you're looking for a nice treat, you've found it! 10/10!

A. A.This lovely place is wonderful! I’ve never had delicious doughnuts as the ones they make! The cinnamon holes and vanilla custard doughnuts are my favourites. I’ve just discovered that spot few weeks ago and since then I became addicted I visit them every weekend as they are unfortunately just available at weekends🥺♥️one last thing, they serve wonderful fluffy amazing hot chocolate, you should probably give it a go!

C.So light and not greasy- ate an orange and cinnamon and felt indulgent but not guilty as the lack of stodginess is fab- the choice is as per Instagram post on the day and when they sell out of their donuts they will post on instagram- to be honest I could easily come here for the delicious smooth coffee alone - the teapot is huge and good selection of tea. People serving are warm and friendly. Wrap up if a cloudy day as open to the elements

A. H.Yummy doughnuts! They are a little bit pricey, but you must consider that these are baked in store and the ingredients are all fresh!
My sister in law saw their page on instagram and showed me their posts. We were both quite intrigued at how they tasted, as the goodies run out shortly after they open for the day. They said the queues were quite long, so we headed there early - and we were just in time!
The place was fairly easy to find, and the overall aesthetics of the place was homey and cosy. There was only a little area for seating, but it may only have seemed that way because of the hoardes of customers they get!
I superrrrr love the one with almonds (though i forgot what it was called) not too sweet, just right!
Aside from the doughnuts, they also serve coffee, but I have yet to come back and try it! When we came, we had a little sleepy kid in tow, so we have made arrangments to come back pretty soon!

My tip is to arrive early, maybe even before the opening time, because the queues can be enormous and sometimes an hour wait.
I'd give it 5 stars if the queue management was better (maybe taking orders or payment while people wait).

E. J.Some of the best flavours I’ve tasted when it comes to donuts! The selection changes monthly and there’s always quite a queue on weekends so make sure to pre-order so you don’t miss out.
By some sort of witchcraft they’ve perfected coffee, matcha lattes (literally only one of the places in the North doing them properly) amazing hot chocolate and delicious sweet treats. The staff are super sweet and always do their best to help out where they can too.
Can’t recommend this place enough!

I did miss out on the flavour I went for but even just the classic raspberry was worth the wait. I would recommend going before 12 or pre-ordering if you want anything specific (or just keep going back!). Lovely staff too

T. J.Proven goods is always excellent, their doughnuts are incredibly well made and will have you coming back for more. The coffee available there is also superb. Whilst the location is out of the way the trip is worth it, especially once you know what's waiting for you at the far side.
E.Nice but gimmicky. Donuts are ok but very overpriced, Morrisons donuts are as nice and much cheaper. The queues are always huge and they never have enough stock, the nice flavours sell out straight away so prepare for disappointment. The hot chocolates are nice, but again expensive at £3.80. Service is very slow, you wait at least 10 minutes outside in the cold for drinks after already queuing for ages to order them.

I've eaten 3 different donoughts here and they are the top 3 doughnuts I've ever eaten. The best food establishment in Newcastle. They also do a good flat white which is harder to find than it should be. Long queue.

S. T.They do your typical American style ring donuts but also fluffy filled donuts which are pillowy soft. Their brownies are rich and very fudgy. Coffee is on the expensive side considering the smaller cup size, however was very very flavourful.
The only issue is that you really have to queue up a few minutes before opening time on a weekend to have a reasonable chance of getting your hands on one of these.
I would suggest them to use pastry boxes more often as it is very easy to smudge donuts in a paper bag if you're not getting a box of 6.

N. I.Fab dessert spot. Little bit out of the way but worth the trip for the unique donut and cookie options, including a range of vegan friendly options. Staff friendly and there us a nice few seats around inside. Only downside is that stock can run out quick due to popularity and it's a bit pricey. Would recommend for a treat once in a while.

J.I CANNOT STRESS HOW MUCH I LOVE THE DOUGHNUTS HERE. It's heavenly and so so fresh. It's possibly the best doughnuts I've eaten in my life. Their drinks are top notch too: Matcha Latte being my ultimate favourite. Natural, beautiful and fresh. What more can anyone ask for <3 oh but the doughnuts always get sold out pretty early (1-2pm ish on weekends when it's busier, so it's best to go there early). Absolutely affordable too. Stunning!

My nephew set his heart on having The Homer but they'd all run out, he went in a bit of a huff and didn't want to try any others if he couldn't have the Homer. The lass that served us went off and had a quiet word, came back and said that if we didn't mind waiting a minute they would make one specially for us. It made my nephew's summer!

D. J.Doughnut perfection. Over the last 31 years I have eaten a doughnut or a few thousand but nothing has compared to this. We visited Proven goods last Sunday for the first time and my good god! I walked into the shop humming pure imagination off of Charlie and the chocolate factory I was that excited. We both got a coffee and a different doughnut each I had the bourbon one and my other half had the Halloween charcoal one. I have never had a doughnut as fresh, light and fluffy or as tasty in my life. One doughnut turned into us taking a box of various ones home. We are from Yarm so had to travel a bit to get there, which is probably a good thing as I'd end up spending all our sons Christmas present money on doughnuts instead. In all seriousness what a lovely place this is, it was really nice getting there and seeing a variation of different people from a little boy with jam all over his face to older people sitting down relaxing having the best doughnuts around. Staff are brilliant and super friendly. We went away feeling genuinely happy and a massive smile on our faces.

There is a range of doughnuts for you to select each one different amd unique from the ones in supermarket/bakery. However get there early because they sell out quick. I definitely recommend stopping off here and grabbing a bite.
