I recently required a cake for my wife's 40th birthday and asked Marie if she could do a Willy Wonka themed cake. I must say it was a huge success. She kept in touch with me throughout the whole process, throwing ideas back and forth and I must admit she went above and beyond to make it right. She was also able to cater for am afternoon tea I was having in conjunction with this and made some amazing fresh scones, sausage rolls and various cakes too (included little boxes for the kids). The food was amazing and I will definitely be using her services again in the future. Thanks

I ordered a football themed cake for my step-dad’s 60th birthday and it was perfect! The cake was exactly what i wanted in terms of the design and it tasted amazing. It really added something special to his day. On top of this, Marie-Claire was so helpful and lovely. I will definitely be asking her to make more cakes for me - would highly recommend!

We fully recommend ‘Cakes by Marie-Claire’! Marie-Claire creates beautiful (mostly organic) high quality cakes for any occasion, including gorgeous creative luxury cakes. All the cakes I have tasted are delicious but my favourites are: mint choc chip cake, salted caramel cake, mince pie cupcakes and turkish delight cupcakes. Marie-Claire’s attention to detail and professional finishing touches produce stunning made-to-order cakes which taste just as good as they look! The cakes are great value and working with Marie-Claire was great; she was always very responsive and checked with me along the way to ensure that what she was producing was in line with what I wanted; the Christmas cake I ordered is a case in point – just the right size, covered in sparkles and wonderfully presented. Thank you Marie-Claire! 

Marie-Claire's cakes are exceptional! She uses the finest ingredients, mainly organically sourced and will not compromise on quality. I like that I can talk to her about what I'm looking for the cake and she takes the time to understand and propose practical options. We highly recommend her and the presentation of her cakes is a work of art. Our favourite is the maple and and pecan cheesecake :o)

Well what can I say? When I first tasted and experienced one of Marie-Claire’s cakes, I was blown away of how delicious and light it tasted. As well as it tasting full of deliciousness, it looked simply wonderful. This was all at a friends sons birthday party. As soon as I found out who made it, I contacted Marie-Claire who then went on to make my husbands 40th birthday cake. Wow!!! Strawberries, Victoria sponge and cream. What more can you ask for?! I ordered 2 afternoon tea boxes, a family one and a single one. Marie-Claire doesn't usually do a single one but she done this for me with no trouble at all. The afternoon tea boxes were absolutely fabulous they exceeded all expectations, both recipients raved about them and couldn't get over how fresh and delicious the scones and cakes was. Marie- Claire also delivered the boxes on the day and at the time specified. If you are thinking about purchasing these afternoon boxes I highly recommend them. Thank you Marie-Claire xxx

Marie Claire’s cakes are THE best cakes I’ve ever tasted and bought! I particularly love her pina colada cake as it’s so light and has a delicious flavour! I can also highly recommend her chocolate orange and raspberry & white chocolate cakes!! Both are divine!! Ordered an Elvis cake for my hubby’s 40th. I was kept up to date on progress. I was given a huge choice of style & design ideas, and sent pictures of how the cake would look. I was contacted the day before collection to ensure I was still ok with the design & detail. Informed of collection time. I requested a vanilla cake, with jam & butter cream. Not only did the cake look AMAZING but oh my word it is delicious. So light & full of flavour. Definitely be arguing over the last slice. Thank you so much - will be ordering again.

Marie was very professional. She was very helpful and friendly and spoke through cake ideas to help me decide on a perfect cake. She also managed to do two different flavours (red velvet and Victoria sponge) for a two tier cake which tasted so good. Cake texture was amazing! I will definitely be ordering again.
