Great little bakery. traditional cakes and pies also some fab more unusual takes on things. Loves the lemon curd and almond fresh cream puff. So much choice but another fav are the almond slices..
The breads are delicious my favs are the Mediterranean ( only make on a Saturday though) the spelt & honey and just tried the chia this week… it’s light and so tasty def on my fav list now!
The staff are really friendly and very efficient and nothing is too much trouble.
Definitely worth a stop and sometimes the queue for the quality of service and produce. Ps the butties are delicious too
Highly recommended

Food is good quality and and tasty but maybe slightly more expensive than your usual bakery but it's the only one in Great ecc so it's pay or go hungry

Have bought a variety of goods from them over the years and the pies especially are well worth making a drive over for!

Have had a lot of Penny's goods over the years, had a steak and kidney pie, suspect this was just steak, the pastry was a little doughy, maybe just an off day. Staff in there are great, and will definitely be returning.

Another excellent afternoon tea provided by the lovely staff at Pebby's. Sandwiches, cakes and fresh cream cakes were fantastic quality and made a significant contribution to a memorable day for us.
As well as highly recommending you we just wanted to say thanks to all involved.

Went in search of Pebby's Bakery the very next day after having an Afternoon Tea from there at a friend's house.
Really nice selection of sandwiches, savouries and cakes per serving - far too much for one person.
The bakery itself is easy to find on the main High Street in Great Ecclestone. A traditional village with local shops, pubs restaurants and cafes.
Delicious food, all nicely displayed in the shop counter and friendly staff.
We will return!

Delivering to the Blackpool area and heard from my customers there’s a lovely village bakery the heart of Great Eccleston. The small detour was worth the visit and told to purchase the sausage rolls. Which I did! I feel like Gordon Ramsay with a passion describing my heavenly experience. The bakery was small and delightful and the fragrance over powered my senses. The bakery has a glass counter filled with cakes and pies, making me feel like a child in a sweet shop. I asked for two sausage roll and a Bakewell slice.
My wonderful experience:
The Sausage rolls looked small but they packed a punch with flavour. The pastry was light, flaky and wasn’t greasy a delight to eat and the pork filling was mouth watering rich and meaty. A joy to finally find the perfect sausage roll. But then came something unexpected. The Bakewell slice was heavenly light and moist. The almond flavour exploded over and over my tongue and the jam filling wasn’t overpowering sweet but sticky and decadent and flakes of almonds tasted amazing. I finally had that eureka experience of being transported back to my childhood of my grandmother Bakewell cake. Which I adored.

Ordered a takeaway afternoon tea for my wifes birthday today and it was fantastic. Great choice of freshly baked savouruies and cream cakes and the quality was outstanding. My wife was so really pleased with everything and you wouldn't believe how many brownie points I've gained. Thanks to all involved.
By the way, really friendly and pleasant staff as well.
