Such a lovely bakery/coffee shop. Wonderful caring staff and a real homey feel. Best Gypsy tarts around and lots of other wonderful treats. Quality coffee, quality food and quality service. I drive all the way from Kingston Upon Thames with the sole purpose of visiting this bakery. Great bread too!

Without doubt one of my favourite bakeries that I have visited and now frequent. From the homely atmosphere to the friendly staff, add in the delicious array of baked breads and consumables and you get a non mainstream bakery that provides the sense of a family run place that is affordable and quality!

really good local family bakery and coffee shop opposite the new battleship grey precinct in Caversham town centre. this is where the locals like to go. the best toast and marmite you will ever have alongside a good mug of tea.Bath buns and Lardy cake too, delicious, dry and moist in their own way. nice friendly service as you would expect from an independent shop.sliced loaf to take away for more toast at home. ..thanks

Very helpful and kind staff, with fairly good amount choice (the earlier you go the more choice you will have). Personally I think the sausage rolls are to die for. Be ready for a queue as this place is obviously popular. Reasonable prices.

Lovely staff, always helpful. But today they were extra helpful. I had the dog with me but needed bread. A staff member noticed, came out, offered to hold the dog. In the end she sold me some bread outside, saving my Christmas Eve. Delicious bread too!

Great local bakery selling a wide range of delicious stuff. Good for everything from loaves of bread to cakes and there's a tea shop for sit-in visits too. More expensive than a supermarket but worth the extra for the quality, also supporting smaller businesses etc.

Looks so much better after reopening a couple of weeks ago following an complete refurbishment. Like the USB charging points. Felt like the staff were still settling in and hope the service speeds up a bit as it would be a bit slow if you're on a rush on a lunch break for a take away.

Love this bakery. Very nice to relax and enjoy a coffee and one of the delicious cream cakes or pastries, before purchasing a loaf from an extensive range of freshly baked bread, to take home. Also on offer are pies, salads, sandwiches and snacks. Friendly and helpful staff within clean and fresh surroundings. My husband says that Warings bacon rolls are the best in ten counties!!! Praise indeed!

Reasonably priced and quality bread, cakes and pastries. There's nothing to really make this place stand out, but it's a nice change from the supermarkets. Reminds me of my youth. The croissants were far superior to anything I've had from a supermarket. They do take cards, but watch out for the minimum spend.

A bit dated/unfurnished and their offering is very British (which is not terrible in itself but also not very unique). You could sit in and enjoy your cup of coffee there, but I’ve never felt like it. Mostly elderly people seem to favour this bakery.

Stopped in for a coffee and a snack. Staff were friendly and it seemed the senior clientele were pretty established. This is the kind of bakery you grew up with: order over a glass cabinet and your bun or pastry goes on a beige tray with a napkin and your cup of coffee.

Used to be a great bakery, until the recent refurbishment. No menus for sandwiches or rolls, no labels to tell you what hot pastries are. Concentrating on the cafe side of things rather than the takeaway side so you wait to be served. Staff seem disorganized but I doubt that is there fault as it's the same staff as before the make over, training issues maybe. Food is as good as it's always been and the staff as friendly as ever.

I remember going to the bakery in Woodley when I was a kid, and my Dad used to get a bloomer every Saturday, which we cut big slices from to make sandwiches... The crust was crispy (not hard/stale), and the inside was like a fluffy cloud, chewy and indulgent... I bought 3 bloomers her, and it's bread... Not bad, but not like the bakery I remember from my childhood... Disappointed.

Warings Bakery put together a cake for my wedding. It was a beautiful 6- tiered naked wedding cake, of alternating flavours (victoria sponge and chocolate) and the texture and taste was simply delicious. Guests enjoyed it so much, all of it went! Thank you Warings for creating my dream wedding cake- the friendly service and attention to detail was superb.

Tasty and wide selection of hot and cold food, including sausage rolls, pasties, baguettes and sandwiches. Cakes and pastries for those with a sweet tooth! Plenty of seating available both inside and some outside too. Friendly service and a local feel make this a regular lunch spot in Caversham 👍🏻
