R. B.My daughter, who lives near York, was unable to come and visit us due to lockdown, so she arranged for an Afternoon Tea Box to be delivered to me. This was to remind us of last year when we had afternoon tea in The Blue Room at the O2 while attending the ATP tennis finals! After watching the tennis yesterday afternoon, we settled down to a superb virtual tea with sandwiches, scones, jam and cream and delicious cakes while on Zoom. She had gone to her local bakers and got her supplies!
The delivery was such a lovely surprise and everything up to Warings standard. Thankfully there are some cakes left over for today!
Thank you for the service, it certainly helps to keep people closer at these strange times.
