In Southampton we have two Greggs, one near to the entrance to west quay & one the other side of the Marland's, although the first one is the newer shop being bigger with more seating the service and layout is Not very good the older one which has been there a lot longer and although it's smaller is very much better, the layout and the service from the staff are much better & better stocked, and they always have Soup there during the colder weather so they get my vote for the better shop. 3 stars for the one near West quay, and 5 stars for the older one, keep up with your good work.

Delicious rolls cakes staff very sweet but Greg's need a security guard the amount of thieves I've seen just walking in and walking out not paying poor staff get the abuse

This is just a Greggs and the food and coffee is what you expect from a Greggs but Im giving 5 stars because the Staff are always friendly and are always following COVID restrictions. They serve you with patience and that whats the 5 stars is for.

Well, I am impressed they are rigidly sticking to the limits of people inside but the way they are doing it could be a bit better. I have no problem queuing and am like everyone else adapted to the practice now. However, The unkempt blobstacle with an identifier of delice was something else. Stood/ leaning against the railings and shop door, hands in pockets squinting one eye. Raised his hands in the well fashioned stop, and then as one person left they signalled a one. As I was with my wife and we both wanted to pick something we had to wait which I think confused them as it had to straighten up a bit. Now I am all for enabling work for as many as possible. But equally company uniform should be worn along with personal appearance with a little pride. The hair net was not keeping any hair tidy, not the beard net, in fact I wondered if it was a dye technique due to it only covering a bit of the face. The squinting eye I thought was a condition, but it may have been the sun or just the fact they were exposed to daylight, as clearly this person doesn’t interact with many people normally. This was demonstrated as when we left despite being cheery and thanking them… not an even an eye was blinked… Fortunately, the food was alright and the rest of the staff we fine. I don’t think I will be heading back any time soon as judging by the state of some of the staff. The identifier badge may actually be a tag for what needed doing?

Tried out the much vaunted veggie sausage roll. Pastry is very flakey but pleasant. Filling close to a meat sausage core but not an exact replica. Again tasty but definitely not meat. Overall pleasant but nothing more. Staff service very quick.

I normally love Greggs but the Potatoe wedges seemed slightly undercooked and a little stale. Although I didn't tell the staff so that's not 100% fair on them.

Prime central location in Southampton near the bus stops, can get a bit busy in the mornings for the breakfast run but worth the wait, provides a range of fresh sandwiches, pasta and wraps aswell as freshly made pastries and sweet treats!
