I've grown up eating Chatwins and other than some of the treats getting smaller they are still as tasty! The sausage rolls and mince pies are our favourites. Bring back the jam tarts though!

You only have to ask a local to know how respected this place is. Excellent selection of extremely tasty bakery goods. Sausage rolls, doorstep toast and Yorkshire pudding wraps to name a few. Expensive but worth it.

Fantastic bakery / cafe. Since moving to the area I exclusively pickup my bread and other baked products from here. Stop in at any time of the working day and you won't be disappointed.

Lovely food, they make your food order to your specifications so you can mix and match to get the perfect food. They have indoor and outdoor seating or the option to take away.

Nice but a little expensive (17th May 21). Good service and selection. Clean WC. Nice atmosphere. Drinks and hot food is very hot! Although you can request a cooler drink I believe. Not as expensive as the Sandbach branch which was very poor value for money to eat in on 17th May also (got the order wrong as well, brown bap given instead of white). In fact I was the only one sitting in!

Who can ever resist a Chatwins!! Bacon baps, savoury roll and pork pies are delicious. The coffee is also very good, only a 15 minute walk from our house.

Totally disorganised, at least seven people serving but nobody seemed to know whether orders on the counter had been completed. The ladies bringing food out had no idea where it should be going to. I stood waiting whilst four people tried to decide whether an order had gone through the till. The lady next to me said she'd been told off because she'd gone straight to the cake counter but should have queued behind all the people getting savoury take aways because she was taking her cakes home. Chaotic would describe the service. The food, on the other hand, was very good.

The food at chatwins can't be beaten but the staff are without doubt THE RUDEST I've ever come across. They think they're doing you a favour serving you and make you feel as if, by serving you they're not getting on with their work(putting food on shelves). Food is a bit pricey as well but as I said before very nice

Chatwin's are the premier bakers in Cheshire and without doubt make the finest Fresh Cream cakes anywhere. I think this Chatwins in Alsager is there Flagship new look "Cafe come takeaway", "come cake shop and bakers" all in one. It is very nice! Modern decor, light, warm, fresh, good seating, good smiley service. Excellent selection whether eating in in or taking out. My personal favorites include their Multiseed brown loaves and cobs and the fresh cream cakes. Their small Pork Pie is in a class of its own. I just hope they open more of these shops.

Traditional bakery. Interior has been renovated beautifully but stodgy food remains the same. Pastry, pasties, bread and cakes. Nothing healthy or innovative on the menu.
