Fantastic experience all round… first visit to Trentham Bakehouse, super clean inside and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, you can really tell the owners and staff take great pride in their work! The food was second to none as was the coffee! Definitely recommend and well worth the trip!

Took a trip up to Trentham Bakehouse for freshly baked Breads & Pastries and to support a fellow baker. Absolutely beautiful, the smell of freshly baked breads and the unbelievable smell of sweetness from the pastries, simply amazing. The best croissants I've had outside of France, period. Generally very delicious baked goods but what truly makes this place special are the viennoiserie. Be it plain, be it almond (with amazing frangipane), be it the pain au chocolat or their cruffins. You won't find better. It's a pleasure to go there any time and every time. On top of it, they make delicious deli sandwiches using those croissants and the hams, lettuces and sauces they use are superb quality and enhance the flavor of the croissants. I can't recommend this place more. A definite must visit. EDIT: Unfortunately I have to take a star off. Since I wrote this review, I believe they lost their "je ne sais quoi". The almond croissant somehow tastes less "almondy" and tastes much heavier and sweeter. The last "pain au chocolat" they forgot to add the chocolate... A lot of their most recent creations feel very gimmicky, based on candy bars, rather than focusing on what they are really good at - making outstanding viennoiserie. On top of that, unfortunately no matter how much they try, the wait for their sandwiches is just not acceptable - a single sandwich takes 20 minutes. Overall, their viennoiserie is still outstanding, delicious, buttery and flaky. But I do believe they lost their spirit and are now "just" a very good artisan bakery. 😔

Best bakery ive been to in a very long time and its in STOKE !!!!! Honestly if your a massive foodie and appriciate good pastery and the smell of heaven this place is a hidden gem that makes time stop and you appriciate the artisery put into each of there pasteries, sandwiches, cakes, brownies you name it. Get yourself there right now, you wont regret it!

Do you have different bread bakers? Because sometimes the bread is fantastic and sometimes is not. The flat sourdough bread on the left I bought it today, the one on the right on Saturday. Looks like something the oven isn’t cooking the bread properly (it’s drying the outside of the bread too quickly not allowing the bread to grow in the oven?) the bubbles are just in the middle of the bread and the bread is flat, should look like the one on the right. Thanks for your reply :) . It seems a bit unfair will change it to 4.

I must have eaten from Trentham Bakehouse 40+ times over the past year, and the food has never once fallen short of their incredibly high standards. Last weekend, Curtis went above and beyond with an incredible assortment of treats including; a mountain of delightful cinnamon buns, a platter of unbelievable crumbly, choc-filled cookies and the sweetest, softest, most vibrant lemon meringue I've tasted in my life. The chefs at Trentham Bakehouse are so incredibly talented and dedicated, and their work ethic definitely flows through to the front of house staff who are always so warm and friendly. I cannot rate this place highly enough, they deserve all the success they are getting and so much more. This establishment is an absolute must visit wherever you are, and will always be worth travelling for.

Amazing bakery. Must try for any cake and pastry lover. The croissant pastries were delicious. Lemon meringue had a lovely creamy lemon filling with meringue on top. The rhubarb crumble pastry was gorgeous too.

One of THE BEST bakeries I’ve been too. Really brilliant sweet bakes, savouries and breads. I could go back again and again. Their croissants are amazing - they’re massive, filled full and for the price you pay you know you’re supporting an independent business and getting brilliant food!!!

Curtis and the team are magicians. Started going her in March 20 in the first lockdown and it's been a must nearly every week since then. They are creative with their bakes and they always have something new to enjoy. From epic sandwiches made to order to their patisserie, its all excellent!

Ive never been disappointed in my visits (definitely tough for my waistline living in the same street) we treated ourself to an afternoon tea from them for our anniversary recently which was amazing! Absolutely outstanding quality and so much to choose from. Everything is delicious. The sausage rolls are the best I've ever had, the sandwiches are huge and tasty, the crossiants are delicious and the cakes and sweet treats are out of this world. The staff are lovely and helpful and the shop is covid secure. It's well worth a visit.

Where do I start? Such wonderful breads and bakes, every visit is an absolute treat, loved by all the family. The staff are helpful, friendly and so supportive of the community around them. Excellent value for money with quality bakes I’ve never experienced or seen locally before. It used to be oatcakes I had to take when visiting relatives out of the area, not it’s Trentham Bakehouse bakes!

Had some confusion over an order placed but staff couldn't have been more helpful in sorting it out. Tried loads of stuff - sandwiches, scones, sausage rolls, pork pie, lobby and cakes. Portions are huge and everything is delicious. The smell is exactly like that of a boulangerie in France. I visited on a Saturday and the queue was long (40 mins to get inside) but totally worth the wait - I can't wait to return!

Minimal selection of pastries available when they open up at 10am, after a long queue it's a bit frustrating. Had an afternoon tea for my birthday yesterday. My fiancè arranged this as a surprise and ordered over 2 weeks ago. We arrived to collect at 12pm as arranged and stood in queue outside for around 45-50 minutes. Once inside, they hadn't got any recollection of the order so the afternoon tea was not ready. Luckily my fiancè had the email confirmation to show them. They said they could put it together for us but it would be 1.5 hours wait!!! When my Fiancè explained this wasnt possible for us as we had plans for the rest of the day, they agreed to try and put something together. (It wasnt the choices we ordered). And they had this ready in 10 minutes. The food was amazing!!! There was so much and we genuinely couldn't complain!! The reason for my 5* is that errors can happen and they rectified their mistakes straight away. The only thing I suggest is that a member of staff approach the outdoor queues to filter out anybody that had ordered online to prevent them waiting. People like ourselves had waited for 50 minutes to simply pick up an order. Thanks so much! Thoroughly enjoyed it! (But not the wait!!!)

A little bit of Paris in the heart of Trentham, that is what this place reminds me of. I can completely appreciate the level of work that must go into go in to making all of the goods at Trentham Bakehouse. This certainly isn't just your average pastry, cake or sandwich. I am hooked, well done guys, what a gem of a place!

This isn’t your usual bakery so if you want the regular mass produced pastries, cakes, sandwiches, bread and pies you can get everywhere then maybe Trentham Bakehouse isn’t for you. Trentham Bakehouse is a Bakery on the forefront of the Stoke-on-Trent food scene and I feel so privileged it’s on my doorstep. You won’t find products like these without going to a bigger city like Birmingham or Manchester. I’ve been several times before and although on my first visit the price shocked me it was only because I got carried away and brought the whole shop! Upon sampling my first bite I would have happily paid double the cost as it was unbelievably fresh and tasty. You can really tell the amount of care which goes into the products and the years of skill and talent which have been perfected to bring it to this point. I can’t recommend Trentham Bakehouse enough and I really hope the people of Stoke-on-Trent keep supporting it enabling it to be bigger and bolder.

This place is amazing, they create really great combinations of flavours be it sweet or savoury. Be prepared to que outside as this place is busy (because its so good!). You'll also have to wait outside afterwards if you order sandwiches, usually takes around 10 mins or so. Everything is made fresh and the menu changes regularly. Staff and owner (at least I think he is!) are very friendly and helpful. You can park your car outside along the street for free but be considerate of the locals! They upload what food they have on that day on their Instagram stories so worth checking out before you go and can help you decide before you step foot in the shop @trentham_bakehouse
