Reviews of St Mawes Bakery

Six of us went in for sandwiches at lunchtime we kept the dogs outside, we were going to have takeout but a table became free and we were allowed to bring the dogs in. Great food well priced. Nice friendly staff. In a great location. Pictures taken just outside

One of the best steak pasties I've tasted, and the turkey and cranberry was excellent too. A warm and friendly welcome. Well done.

Had a great cheese and vegetable pasty here. Perfectly cooked, great pastry. Yum!

Possibly the best pasty I have eaten in Cornwall - would highly recommend!

Sat outside for a quick lunch and had a really nice 'Cheese + Onion Pasty' and an 'Egg + Bacon Slice'. Friendly service and decently priced too.
Would certainly recommend to others.

We approached the St Mawes Bakery and asked them if they would be able to provide some mini Cornish pasties for our wedding day in the evening. We spoke with Oliver who was very friendly and more than happy to help. As expected if you know the St Mawes Bakery, they did not disappoint and there wasn’t a single one left at the end of the night! They were delivered on time, hot and tasted delicious and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough! Thank you so much Oliver and team!

Stopped for pasties for the four of us after a cold windy dog walk. The lady working was welcoming and helpful and the pasties were spot on, hot , tasty and proper traditional style. They were freshly preparing made to order sandwiches for other customers while we were there. Being honest, the place doesn't look.a lot from outside but I would 100% recommend it. Lovely!

Working very closely to the bakery I am always so tempted by the lovely freshly baked aromas coming out of the shop. The bakery is extremely popular and a big draw is the wonderful quirkiness and good humour of the staff... It's not often you see anyone leave without a smile on their face! It's reassuring to see how strict they are being with Covid practices with their masks, screens, one, in, one out system. Such a wonderful little family run business who have hearts of gold and do so much for our village.

Best pastie of our trip, and I tried a few! A proper pastie with lots of steak and swede. Always a favourite in St Mawes! They have a few outside tables perfectly positioned for you to enjoy the comings and goings of the harbour.

During a recent trip to the west country I had a personal quest to eat a pasty a day as I don't often get the chance to have the real thing. The pasty from St Mawes Bakery was the best of my trip, I watched them get delivered hot and had to have one. The pastry was crisp with nice chunks of steak and vegetables and a good amount of seasoning. The seagull next to me was also rather interested too. So if you're ever in the area make sure you grab yourself one of these!

Pasties were unfortunately not as nice as last year. A couple of bits of meat and mushy vegetables. Actual pastry was very nice. Had the scone this evening and it wasn't cooked in the middle and it just crumbled. Was looking forward to it 😔

Small shop with selection of baked goods. I'm told the pasties were lovely, but didn't have any vegetable ones left, so can't comment myself.

Great bakery, the pasties are delicious, as are the scones and saffron buns. Ordered 20 pasties to take home, great service, they were fresh and ready to collect as arranged.

The best bakery in the world. The granary rolls and Loafs are awesome. All freshly baked daily, and the pastys are awesome too!
