A lovely little bakery which is an institution in the community. The bread and buns have been the same great homemade quality since I was tiny. Try a belgian bun - it's the best you'll ever eat!

Fantastic little bakery. Tucked away it has a wide array of baked goods at very reasonable prices. Staff are friendly and the service is efficient. A dead giveaway that it's good is because there is usually a queue! :)

I was so grateful to find this gem of a place so close to home. Hands down the best bread I’ve ever had. So fresh and so much choice of other baked goods. Staff are always friendly and welcoming! On Saturdays there is fruit and veg stall who sell some great produce!

Fantastic local bakery with a variety of cakes, bread and pastries to choose from. The staff are always friendly and efficient. Some of my favourites are cinnamon buns, frog cakes and the Biscoff flapjacks.

What a delight it is that a local bakery exists that I can go out to every day or second day. When I worked I used a bread machine to get fresh bread every day but now why should I bother when I can get something nicer on the doorstep. Also a good range of pies, sausage rolls and other baked foods. A good range of cakes and I, and many people, do find it difficult to resist their delicious apple Danish. I must exercise more to allow this.

Fantastic local bakery - always reliable for a great loaf of bread and a good delegation of cakes, buns and pastries. Frog cakes are an old favourite and the gingerbread men are well liked in this family!

Lovely village bakery. It reminds me of bakeries in Cornwall and they sell pasties too (though not quite a proper Cornish pasty!). Prices are very good. It's like stepping back in time!

After last having visited from Australia 8 years ago couldn't wait to have a Cornish pastie from this gem of a bakery. After settling in from on overnight flight from Hong Kong it was the first thing I did. Not disappointed. Have a pork pie in the fridge with my name on it and if it is only half as good I will be delighted

Best cheese / potato / onion slices here! Nom nom nom 🤤 everything else looks decent as well 👍 they offer pizza and quiche and other bakery basics. Nothing fancy here, just a classic glimpse into village local life that has been in this village for a century or so. Not many places around like it anymore which is why it’s more special than the simple bread products they produce.

I love my local bakery with its querky, mid 20th century ambience and old-fashioned array of breads, cakes and filled rolls! No chance of sourdough or pain rustique here, but it's beneficial contribution to the community cannot be overestimated, so thank you, Alan for hanging in there! Contactless payment soon...??

Had forgotten what proper bread tasted like. Word of warning - don't turn up 5 min's before closing time...they sell out on a regular basis, the bread's that good!
