We had a fabulous couple of days with Liz on the micro bakery course. She is the most patient, knowledgeable and excellent teacher/mentor a wannabe baker could ask for. Such an inspiration and pleasure to be with.

We recently attended Liz's introduction to breadmaking. This was a fantastic way to spend a few hours on a Saturday where we were shown how to make a wide variety of breads. Liz makes the learning experience very enjoyable and had plenty of tips to share for a successful bake. We all shared a wonderful lunch which included some of Liz's bakes which were so tasty. Then at the end of the course we each had a big bagful of bread to take home. Great experience - Thank you.

Today I did the introduction to bread making workshop. Liz was a great teacher, and offered many helpful tips and ideas to resolve some of the issues I have been experiencing making bread at home. The sort of tips and advice you don’t find in a book. The class was relaxed and the other baker was great company during the morning. A really enjoyable and informative workshop. I would recommend this class to anyone who needs practical help to start or progress with their bread making.

In cannot speak highly enough of my experience with Liz. From the moment stepping into the bakery Liz made me feel relaxed. There were 3 other students all as eager to get started. After a freshly brewed coffee and introducing Liz explained the days course. We were hands on and made a white dough. There was lots of banter and giggles along the way. Also deep concentration though when it came to weighing ingredients. Should say the only time we were quiet the whole morning. We also learnt to make soda bread. Then a no knead bread rolls. When the white dough was ready we made part of it into a loaf. Then we made focaccia and some buns.Liz named and baked our mornings work. We had more coffee and some lush biscuits that Liz had made. Needless to say at lunch time we had breads, crackers and pickles that Liz had made. The whole experience had truly been packed with so much bread baking tips. Liz truely is a teacher full of knowledge and just makes you want to learn so much more. Thank you so much Liz not just for teaching me so much but also for making it so much fun. My husband said to tell you the white loaf also makes fantastic toast

I attended Liz's Introduction to Breadmaking in Overton. It was a few days before Halloween and the bakery itself was a warm and glowing refuge from a rainy October. The kitchen is packed with charm and character and Liz is fantastic guide into the ways of bread. We really did leave with a huge bag of bread as well as a ton of know-how and encouragement to get baking. The choice of breads is smart, delicious and entirely practical. Liz wears her knowledge lightly, but not a moment is wasted and you are learning all the time. An absolute gem of an experience. Highly, highly recommended.

Thank you for a wonderful ‘Introduction to Bread Making’ course. Your new bread school is a wonderful space, welcoming and relaxed. Liz shared her vast knowledge of bread making from the ‘chemistry’ through to tips and tricks to guarantee great bread. The course included a number of delicious breads 😊 Liz made a delicious lunch - with fresh bread of course. As soon as I’ve mastered the basics I’ll be back for more!

My brother and I had a wonderful time on Liz’s one-day sourdough bread course. We came home with enough bread to fill both tummies and freezers and learnt a huge amount (shower caps are a game changer!). I had taken another bread course earlier this year and this really built on that. Liz is a great teacher and company, and the day was nicely broken up with tea, homemade biscuits and chats about sourdough starter best practice. Cannot recommend enough.

We treated ourselves to a Ma Baker course as part of our 60th birthday year celebrations and all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Everything exceeded our expectations! Liz runs it so efficiently whilst still making it both fun and informative. From complete novices we have come home with a real passion to continue baking, all down to Liz’s excellent guidance and enthusiasm. Highly recommended.

My husband is a huge sourdough and focaccia fan so I took myself off to learn with Liz...to be able to bake him good preservative free bread. What a wonderful day it was...Liz is a true inspiration and full of knowledgeable nuggets and gems about all things bread! She is a great teacher full of wonderful qualities...kindness, patience, knowledge, to name but a few! I came away with so much information, bread and new skills. The group were so accommodating and friendly which was great for a total newbie to encounter. My husband collected me after and he hand't even started the car engine before tucking into a square of succulent focaccia (his words). I have just made my first attempt at porridge bread and have a focaccia dough on the go for baking tomorrow. I can't wait to bake more and look forward to learning more about bread with Liz! Oh and the bread I took home was/is moreish beyond belief! I have never tasted such a heavenly rye :)

I cannot praise Artisan Bread course enough. It was a truly mind-blowing, inspiring and delicious course. I have done few other bread making courses in the the past, but this one has been the most informative and I have improved so much on my bread making techniques. Liz is an amazing teacher, a true expert, but has lots of patience and understanding for new bakers. At the end of the course, she run through the recipes with us to make sure we understand everything and provided us with lots of additional information. The lunch and biscuits were heavenly.
As she is moving to North Wales soon, I need to plan my trip there from London!
Thank you very much Liz for such an amazing day.
