Reviews of Hovingham Bakery & Rolling Pin Cafe

Bread rolls and soup were delicious. Food & drinks were overpriced for takeaway service. The café needs to be reopened as sitting outside didn’t work for us due to the wind blowing away our containers etc, also wasps around!

Visited here on Sunday and was highly impressed and am not surprised by how busy it was.
A wide selection of items, all of which were so tasty from those bought from my wife's coffee to the cheese scones and the onion bread roll. The highlight was the wholemeal spelt loaf that was devoured quickly once I got home.
Would highly recommend a visit to here.

Absolutely fabulous bakery, too much choice, you could buy it all, not good when trying to diet. Sandwiches, good choice of fillings, tasty pastries and super deserts, plus takeaway drinks. Would definitely recommend if passing through.

Lovely village bakery. Fresh bread and various bakes. A big queue of local people so that tells you it must be good. Nice big cup of real tea too

Lovely homemade bread, cakes and pastries. Cafe not open to eat inside but was gifted beautiful sunshine so ate our jam and cream scone on the outdoor seating at the side of the ford, perfect in every way

Very busy little place in a lovely village setting. Great food and friendly service. But be warned it can get very busy in the summer.

Brilliant bakery open now for scones and pastries for cyclists, lovely staff and food....stopped again for tea and a scone yesterday, pleased to report that bakery is still open and busy, seats outside as tea room is closed... (March '22)Tea rooms still closed (June' 22)...scones still great!

Fantastic bread, scones, buns and coffee in a lovely location

Top quality food at reasonable prices, currently only take away but there is some seating available in very pleasant surroundings, if you have time a stroll around the village is worth the effort.
