Reviews of Little Arras

Lovely fresh baked goods, at very good prices. Gets very busy whenever it opens, but is worth waiting in the queue for how good everything is. Recommend trying a cruffin (croissant/muffin combo) and any of their traditional croissants. Also stock good quality coffee beans from Square Mile Coffee

Don't just walk pass or pretend that you don't see this place.
Please guys go in and have a look!
A lovely bakery with reasonable price
At first l thought should l re-mortgage? and the answer is NO daring they don't robbed you even through a shop look a bit Posh.
A Caramel popcorn cruffin is my favourite and well done for service
they not rushing you in and out.

One of the best bakery cafes I've been to in the UK in terms of quality, and the best once you account for price!
Cruffin the size of my hand, choc cookie and flat white was only £6.6?!
Highly recommended!

They had sold out of the muffin croissant combi by 9.30 am, everything looked nice but the three items we had all tasted like yesterday's, not the super fresh we were expecting. The white chocolate croissant was cold and the filling solid (we did see people warming them in the window sun later on, a good idea) For us, a disappointing visit. Would go in for a loaf as they all looked amazing but not for breakfast stop

Looked like an ordinary cafe from outside, but within are really marvellous pies cakes and hot drinks at reasonable prices. We recommend the pumpkin feta and spinach pie and the almond croissant in particular but the chocolate brownie and Eccles cake were also very good. Humorous male hipster waiter people were good : beware of the toilet hand drier, it's the most powerful and effective I've ever encountered! 😂

I would like to keep it a secret so it doesn’t get overly crowded but… this is my ultimate favourite bakery in York. Sourdough, pastries and other sweet treats are to die for! It is also a very good option for coffee if you need a break away from the hustle and bustle, I would not send you there for lunch per se, but if you happened to be hungry for savoury, they usually have a variety of cute pies… you’ll have to eat it cold if you stay in, so you’ll probably want to order for takeaway. Enjoy… and thank me later! 😆✌🏻

For the price and quality of the cakes/prices this has got to be one of the best bakeries in York! The bread here is lovely as well. Would highly highly recommend to anyone visiting :)

We came across this bakery when we saw people queuing each week and wondering what the fuss was about. So this morning, we decided to join the queue! Listening to those waiting patiently in line, I could tell this was a good place. People seem to come regularly for their baked goods and highly complemented it. As we’re still in lockdown, only 2 groups could go in at a time. I could see why the wait took long as when it was our turn to enter, a vast array of goodies awaits!
There were such a fantastic selection that I couldn’t decide what to buy! In the end, we settled for a cinnamon Bundt, a rhubarb and custard pastry, plus a spelt sourdough. We couldn’t wait to try them that we stopped at a nearby wall and grabbed our goodies! The Bundt and pastry were so fresh and delicious! We just had to savour every mouthful!! Then we we got home, I cut a slice of sourdough and spread some butter before taking the first mouthful! It was such a delight! A lovely nutty flavoured bread full of flavour!
Now that we’ve discovered this place, we can’t wait to try out the rest of the delights!! We are so lucky to have such wonderful small businesses in York. I love supporting them and long may it last!!

Came here after seeing a video about must visit places in York. Excellent bakery. Go early, spend your money, treat yourself and enjoy some incredible goodies.

11 years in Uk and thats was the best Croissants.

Surprisingly affordable considering the quality - £2.60 for a cruffin is the probably the best deal in York. Also appreciate whoever makes the more "out there" music playlists.

I’ve never been disappointed by a baked good bought from this place! The coffee is a bit expensive, but the cakes are definitely worth it. I believe my favourite was called a Monkey cake, or something similar, but it’s been a while since I’ve had the time to attend - its definitely on the cards for a visit soon though.

Top notch selection of pastries, breads and pies. The cruffins are honestly to die for. Really friendly staff and a general lovely atmosphere. Get there early to avoid disappointment!

Very good bakery for homemade bread, muffins and other choices. Hot drinks made with love and good tablel service. They make you feel comfortable. All prices on the wall and next to the product. Glass covering the pastries. Very big space and a few tables that make you feel distant from other customers.

Great coffee. Great cherry almond Criffin thingy! 😁

The best croissant I've had in my life. The cruffins are gorgeous also. Get here early as things seem to sell out. The coffee is also excellent (Square Mile) and beans can be bought in store.

Excellent coffee, lovely service and the most incredible cinnamon roll this side of Scandanavia!

The cinnamon bundts are amazing, cannot wait to come back and try one of everything!

My goodness this place does unbelievable croissants!!! Really really enjoyed them!

The best croissant of my life.
Beautiful pastries and breads as well.
Could probably do with a better / clearer queuing system as one of the girls was a tad blunt with customers when too many people entered.

Wow....Chocolate brownie croissant!!! Gorgeous!! 😍👍 And their bread is delicious!!! 😋 Heaven!
E. G.
I can’t stop eating the croissants. Sometimes they only have pain au chocolat left and I have to pay 20p more to buy that, pull the chocolate out to put in the bin and then pretend I’m eating their perfect croissants. They taste like 1000 calories of butter. Help.

Fab U Luss coffee. Bought a blueberry muffin as well which was a whopper and packed through with blueberries. Very friendly service. LOVE the wall art.

Oh my goodness, everything is outstanding. The cruffins are a dream and the sourdough will change your life. Heart and soul goes in to all the bakes. Monkey bread! The cinnamon bundt! All bakes pair well with the gorgeous square mile coffee. Make sure to invest in elasticated waist trousers and settle in to carb heaven.

The best of the best. Lots of both sweet and savoury options.

Delicious pastries and bread! Highly recommend

Excellent loaf and pastries! Managed to find emergency coffee making paraphernalia too (ceramic Hario V60). Resisted the Square Mile coffee beans to my disadvantage!

Great coffee and pastries with fresh baked bread, croissant, quiche and cakes. Either eat in or take away. We'll be back.

I was wondering why people were queuing outside this shop I know queuing is the norm these days but was interested so I google the shop. I went into the shop and bought sourdough bread with cranberry and pistachio absolutely gorgeous will definitely buy again.

Visited in May, cakes and pastries were lovely but customer service could be better, staff didn't seem very happy but overall would recommend.
