Nice walk to the viaduct from the boat Inn pub. Suitable for pushchairs
Also walked from edlington along the top of the bridge. Some great views and friendly people.
M. B.
Beautiful views and a fantastic walk.
Close by parking and all level so it wheelchair accessible.
G. H.
Former railway line viaduct traversing the River Don far below.
Quite a formidable piece of construction and engineering that is as rock solid now as it was when it was built.
R. J.
An excellent piece of railway engineering. Highly recommend

Beautiful scene! It’s a bit of walking from Conisbrough station. You can park at the station for free or other street. Ideal trail for the cycling

No picture can show how tall is that bridge!! easy parking 4minutes walk from that bridge. Please note- closed for trains you can walk, ride bicycle or even cross bike, all way through, you can hear close-by train thou. It's like Scottish bridge I saw but open for public!

Very relaxing, nice people there except for a couple dirt bikes going down it but I love this place and its got an amazing view.
W. B.
Conisborough has a nice route from sprotbough to the castle via the canal and very popular with mountain bikers too
Great place

A great walk over a fantastic piece of engineering, do some research on the building of the viaduct if you'reinterested in this kind of thing. This is used by dog walkers, ramblers and cycleist and joins on to the trans penine trail. Great views overlooking Conisbrough Castle and a pleasant walk to Sprotbrough falls.

A huge dinosaur fossil left over from the mining era! Once supporting tracks for the coal trains that ran in and out of Yorkshire Main colliery in Edlington. It took a trillion bricks and cost several lives to construct this viaduct over the river Don. The pathway that now allows you to walk over runs straight on to the Pennine Trail going to Barnsley or Doncaster. The route a long the Don towards Doncaster is a really beautiful walk. It brings you out in Sprotborough at the Boat Inn.

Nice walk. View not bad

Visited the viaduct with some friends at 4am. Viaduct looks very imposing and formidable at night. Magnificent piece of British engineering.
D. P.
Very impressive viaduct stunning scenery
M. G.
Worth the walk down the river quite a spectacular piece of building. Great views of the Don Gorge off the top.
A. L.
Great place to walk or cycle as part of the trans pennine cycle way. Nearest parking in conisbrough which has local cafes/shops and toilets. All well signed and level under foot so ok for push and wheel chairs, as this is a disused railway has only slight hills. Plenty to explore for kids and dogs.
K. B.
Fabulous walk from Conisbrough, over the viaduct to the Boat Inn. Footpath from Conisbrough Castle through the woods could be better signed.

Lovely place to visit
A. B.
Amazing walk up to it.lovely idyllic woodland walk before you get there with snippets if the viaduct seen through the trees . lots of bike trails throughout, a kids paradise..lots of hiding places etc.
Stunning views off the top of the viaduct in both directions..of conisborough Castle one side and marshy land and the river Don the other.
Along the footpath the other side we came to The Earth Centre..doubling back..
Take care not to take the path down off the main path, saying public footpath, under the railway bridge,as its a dead end and we had to walk miles back!
Would definately reccomend to all.

Excellent views from here. River Don, underneath, is a working waterway.
I've walked and biked many times over or under the viaduct. I used to live in Doncaster and two friends lived in Mexborough so it was a good route to use.
The last time I went over the viaduct was about two years ago.
S. W.
As viaducts go, this is a good one.
M. E.
Amazing views across the don valley. Conisbrough Castle looks nice from the viaduct as well.
D. F.
There's some rather gnarly DH trails worth shredding (⚠️Not for Beginners in my opinion, so be warned 🤕) Also hit up the hit the quarry opposite for some Man-Up drop off's and jumps. 💯

(Translated) It was my No.1 goal!!!
A great viewpoint of the area, a viaduct remembering the times of steam locomotives. Incredible, huge structure. Glad it can still be used.
(Original)
To był mój cel no.1 !!!
Świetny punkt widokowy na okolicę, wiadukt pamiętający czasy parowozów. Niesamowita, olbrzymia konstrukcja. Fajnie że nadal może służyć.

(Translated) I was there, sometimes a very cluttered place, but as you can see this form of activity is not just a Polish specialty.

Byłem tam, miejsce czasami bardzo zaśmiecone, ale jak widać taka forma aktywności nie jest tylko polską specjalnością.
