Brilliant customer service straight from walking in the door. Lovely rooms, although any level of privacy in the inner rooms can only be achieved with the blinds and curtains down.
Lovely coffee and dining in experience, very welcome atmosphere for working, lounging, or a cocktail or two.
Room service and calling from the room was easy and quick, the mood lighting and automation of the room was great with some latency and minor issues with the tech that required a little patience.
Only criticisms are one or two minor stains on their creamy/white curtains and lampshades that were clearly clean, but just visible when lying in bed whilst it's still light outside, which wasn't great. I didn't mention to staff at the time as I'd slept so well and had forgotten by the time I'd gotten downstairs still thinking about how comfy and nice the stay was - so it can't have been that bad and so 5 stars all round!
I'm even now looking to buy some pillows because theirs were just the best! Thanks again.

Ok it might feel like you woke up in a Virgin Atlantic HQ staff party c 1995 but that aside, it's an amazing place. It's the staff that make it, so kind, helpful and welcoming, they really looked after me. The bed was incredibly comfortable, tech worked and was manageable, terrific location etc. Thanks to everyone whom I encountered for your pragmatism, humour and kindness!

First time staying with this brand and shocked how good it is. The rooms are not huge (who cares) but the bed it and its all big enough for a central London Hotel room. Great tech with everything controlled by an ipad or via your own phones app. My checkin on the app didn't work - didn't care - had a chance to chat to the staff and they were great. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. Cost £119 for one night which is good. When you check in you can give room preferences on screen which is nice. Would definitely stay again

I booked the boardroom for a half day meeting and everything was excellent. The hotel is surprisingly big inside and so snazzy in terms of decor and space. I was quite surprised. The meeting rooms are equipped really well - we didn't need to ask for anything as it was all thought about. Thank you for the delightful experience. 100% recommend this venue!

The best hotel ever. None of the old fashioned bs of regular hotels. Lovely, modern, tidy, sleek. Huge range of movies and shows pre-downloaded onto the TV, with the option to connect from your phone. Colour changing lights controlled by an ipad in the room and bathroom. Actually enough shampoo and body wash instead of the pathetic tiny packets at other hotels. Huge bed overlooking a beautiful botanical courtyard. Modern fun bar and seating area. Even checking in was cool - staff were friendly and helpful around the ipads and setting up the room key. I would never leave the place if I had a choice, but you should because right around the corner is Borough Market! Great location, great staff, amazing look and cleanliness! Definitely worth every penny

Techy, well appointed public spaces to gather with friends or carve out space to work, located near Borough Market, and just a brief stroll from London Tower underground station. Best part of citizenM? Very friendly staff! My favorite place to stay in London.

The Hotel was perfect for us, a great price, HUGE bed, lush shower, friendly helpful service, easy/quick/simple check in & out, great breakfast! We were looked after by Van and she was FABULOUS - nothing was too much. Thanks Van - you're a credit to your team.

I like these Hotels very quirky. Would be nice if you didn't have to serve your own Breakfast disappointed by that. Shoreditch Hotel did serve when I stayed there.
S. K.
lovely young and vibrant staff who were very helpful with checking in etc! I liked the tech element to the rooms and modern feel. The bar/reception area was great for chilling out in too.

Great to be back at CitizenM Bankside. Friendly, helpful staff. A very comfortable bed and clean room. A tasty and healthy breakfast. Excellent location for the Globe and a walk along the Southbank; and a pleasant 20 minute walk to theatreland.

Always a joy to visit and stay at citizenM! Hands down, one of the best and most unique hotel stays you'll experience at a fairly competitive price :) phenomenal beds, quirky design, beautifully unique lobby and tremendous hospitality - what's not to love!
M. P.
Clean and tidy. No kettle in the room and no free tea or coffee for residents. Could do with more privacy for the toilet in the rooms. Good size bed. Could do with a second comfy chair in the room. Ideal for sleeping and not spending any time in the room given its small size

This hotel was kind of awesome, I liked the lobby proverbial living room and the bar area and funky the rooms were very small however they are adequate, the bed was awesome and control for the room was all via an iPad if I was a paranoid person I would say it be the perfect place to invite people that are doing wrong to get them filmed nonetheless it was a decent place. The staff were polite at all times.
D. S.
Nice hotel. The toilets are inside the room and this can be somewhat uncomfortable if you are travelling with others. But it does the job. The location is very nice!
J. C.
I couldn't believe how competent, professional, and friendly everyone was. At my hotel stays before, you often times know which one or two team members are the ones who know how to get things done. At citizenM I knew that anyone I spoke with would be able to competently help me out. Not an easy feat. I highly recommend citizenM for a clean, comfortable, top-notch, headache-free stay.
M. G.
Is a nice hotel the ground floor lobby/restaurant area is nice. House keeping staff are very rude, the lifts are awful as well for the type of hotel it is seems the lifts where put in cheaply. Ended up using the stairs they are that bad.
M. R.
Nice staff and modern rooms - coffee was superb, even had art on it! Friendly barista Sanna and a very nice gentleman Naeem made my morning lovely, will visit again soon
J. H.
Amazing hotel, staff were excellent and really helpful throughout my stay. Made the experience very personal. Would 100% recommend staying here.
B. W.
The best hotel I've ever stayed at. Everything you need and more! I made a note that we were staying for my partner's 30th and they had blown up balloons, made posters and written a card. The tech element is really cool and there's a very friendly atmosphere throughout the hotel. We will definitely be coming back!

Really good location, nice rooms with massive comfortable bed, very friendly and attentive staff. Small issue with wifi and technology but was a really good stay.
T. L.
Great service, clean and modern rooms. Current and vast selection of movies. The air conditioning only goes to 18 degrees which wasn't cool enough for me at night but the staff are very helpful and provided a fan.Very comfy bed and a powerful shower.
S. E.
My favorite London Hotel. Close to many very good restaurants
B. S.
Love this place it is very versatile and can be used as a cool meeting space.
J. C.
Rooms are quite small, but the atmosphere is lovely and the beds are very comfortable. Being able to watch actual movies is a bonus too.
A. W.
Easy to find with an 8 minute walk to Southwark Station. A clever self serving check in system which one of the helpful staff guided us through. Thankfully we managed to get checked in 2 hours before 2pm which made the trip a lot easier.
The rooms feel bigger than they physically are thanks to clever spacing and furniture placing. The iPad control system works well especially for the tech savvy.
Soundproofing was good. We heard nothing from other rooms. Bed was huge and comfortable but you get 1 pillow each and 1 person needs to be by the window.
s. s.
Clean. Modern. Fun. Efficient. Bed is huge. Tablet or phone operation of lights and air con is great.
Very close to Southbank etc.
Will definitely book again.
Oh and the bar guy really knows how to make a mojito.
A. L.
Great location, beautiful hotel with fantastic interior design and outstanding Lobby
K. M.
My hotel of choice in London. On a quiet street right behind Tate Modern. Lots of coffee shops and cafés nearby. Great transport links and a short walk from Waterloo.
S. A.
Really nice option for the price.with the room all you need for a short visit. Like the tech options and the service downstairs in the bar/cafe is really attentive.
l.
Really modern and new, amazing central location in a newly developed area. Rooms have massive beds and are equipped with latest tech
O. S.
Overall, a nice hotel. Rooms were clean and modern (although a little small) and the bar was very good. However, for some reason we were allocated a disabled room, with a very hard mattress and the bathrooms are probably usually a bit nicer.
Upon arrival we had a few complications at the check-in, as the hotel thought the room wasn't paid for even though it was. They then didn't allow me access to the room for over an hour and left me sitting in the lounge with all my baggage. Front-desk staff lacks common sense and needs to be more service oriented.
L. E.
Very warm, friendly establishment. Definitely worth a visit. Will check in again in the new year. 😊👍

Korban, oMario, Kuba amazing bartenders and hosts please tip well because they deserve it

Had a great stay here. The staff were very accommodating and breakfast was fantastic.

100% Recommended Stay
What a STUNNING venue.
Beautiful rooms well equipped with the latest tech with the ability to control everything via iPad that’s all hygienically cleaned before you come into the room.
The shower 🚿 is awesome and the bed is nothing short of ‘mashufis’!
The bar is amazing and the staff were super friendly so get on over and book this for your next night away in London.
S. H.
I always love CitizenM hotels. I think this may be my 5th I have stayed in. The staff are lovely and amazingly multicultural, I think my chap was from Taiwan. Rooms are value for money and when I wandered around I realised the river and Tate Modern are 5 minutes away.
S. O.
Amazing hotel, friendly staff and good value. The rooms are really cool as they are controlled by a tablet, you can change the colours of the lights to suit whatever mood you're in. The bed was huge and sooo comfortable - I need these pillows at home!
S. G.
Great hotel. Great service and wonderful staff. Easily my favourite hotel group for value for money. Everything you need for a night away.
e. l. g.
Absolutely beautiful and modern hotel, the staff is so kind, beautiful decoration, close to borough market, I will be back for sure
C.
Really good price and location. Great service too! Naim was awesome!
J. K.
Really great place. The rooms are fun. Lots of entertainment on the TV. Facilities in the room are modern and clean.
Down stairs the lounge has a bar practically open 24/7. Hot food available late. Sandwiches etc all day.
J. W.
Definitely my kind of place. Very friendly staff and immaculately presented with unusual bedrooms.
H. K.
I am staying at citizenM right now and loving it. The staff is professional and charismatic, the rooms are "cosy" and I like that they have a minibar. The area is great, easy to jump into a cab and get anywhere and I feel that being on this side of the river makes cab rides easier as I have not yet experienced being stuck in immense traffic, which I have when staying other parts in town. The hotel has a very friendly environment and it is all thanks to their staff! keep it going!
I. o. c.
Excellent customer service on check in, offering us two free drinks on mention of our anniversary. We’d never stayed in the hotel though, the room was clean, well laid out, and had everything we needed.
It is a business focused stay though, none of the creature comforts that you would expect from other hotels (bath, minibar with alcohol) but that doesn’t deter from the overall vibe which is pretty cool and city.
The mood pad (an iPad with controls over the lighting, audio visual and temperature etc) is an innovative move and works really well. The movies are modern and not the usual trash.
If your boss offers you a corporate hotel, or CitizenM, choose the latter - it’s cooler, better, and you’ll get a better nights sleep.
C. H.
Stayed here for a mini getaway, loved the aesthetics of the hotel and room!
T. P.
The hotel is awesome. Friendly service and a great atmosphere. The rooms are clean, the shower as well - furthermore the design of the room is modern and unique. For those who want to have a smart home (tablet), it's a perfect hotel. We are enjoying our stay.
R. R.
Almost ideal for a business hotel. No useless frills in the room, but a very comfortable bed, and a great shower. The ground floor is a wonderful coworking space / breakfast bar / evening bar. It makes me happy when I come back after a busy day, which is much more than can be said for any other hotel.
Could be more international power sockets in rooms (and reliable ones too), shower could smell better, and the second lift is out of action... But a great concept. Stay here when traveling on business - not with a family.
A. B.
This hotel is in a fantastic location for exploring Bankside. A 15min walk from either London Bridge or Waterloo stations. The rooms are compact, but functional, which makes this such great value for staying in this location. Beds are fitted tight against the walls, but are super comfy. Public areas have a great vibe, with a good bar (reasonably priced drinks) and designated work area if needed. Staff are really friendly and helpful.
E. A.
Easy check-in and in the perfect place to get anywhere you need.
V. C.
Great hotel, friendly staff and really clever design. The automated facilities are clever and allow for a quick and easy check in and out. However if your life is governed by the availability of coffee or tea facilities in your room you’ll have a bad time. We just got coffee from downstairs like a normal person would and dont see it as a reason to leave a negative review for a hotel..... Great location too.
J. H.
I really like this hotel. On the pricey side, like all London hotels. I paid around £140. But the novelty, the food and the downstairs lounge/library/bar area is a pleasure to hang around in. The rooms are small, but again, the attention to detail and novelty of the iPad controlled lighting blinds and TV are fun and practical. If not on a strict budget, this is a pleasure to stay in, and the location is excellent.
B. A.
Really lovely hotel, rooms are small but compact, breakfast was really nice, great selection. Had a couple of cheeky cocktails as well which were top drawer! The only thing wrong was the lift being out of service all weekend, and as the cleaners use the lift as well it meant having to wait ages for a lift (or just giving up and using the stairs). Maybe they should have had a service lift installed. But hey ho, all in all a brilliant weekend, fantastic staff and amazing hotel. I'm sure we will be back again soon
M. N.
4.5 stars to me. Very clean and comfortable hotel. Super friendly staff and a great bar/lounge are. Breakfast is good too with a wide variety of foods (If u are not gluten intolerant, otherwise you are left with the fruits).
The location is quite ok, 10 min walk to the tube, otherwise plenty of buses. Also many nice food places around.
Only downside for me is the light management in the room. On the one hand it's nice as u can dimm and adjust the lights depending on your mood. On the other hand the pad to do that froze often and then it is a mess to switch off the lights with the existing switches on the wall. Movie entertainment in the room is good though.
A. W.
A totally unique hotel experience, which was very different from anything I'd stayed in before. The rooms are very compact, with shower, wardrobe and bed all in one space. Modern touches like the ipads which control the TV, mood lighting and alarm are brilliant! a free mini bar is also included. Staff couldn't have been more willing to help if you had an issue. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
M. H.
Super welcoming staff. Modern lobby decor. The rooms are tidy & they have complimentary bottled water. The entertainment options are varied & the room is quiet with little to no light interference.
S. B.
I spent a night here over the weekend and I enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has a modern design, a nice bar and lounge with a diverse clientele. The website does a good job of setting expectations with respect to the rooms and I really liked the ipad mood and media setup. It's located in a great place with all the usual amenities just a stones throw away. Ideal for short stays.
M. B.
It's a hotel lobby/coffee area. Spacious, friendly, lots of people here for informal meetings. Tables with sharing screens if you need them (they obviously know their target market) Decor can look a little contrived/formulaic, but when you focus in they have actually spent the time to curate (can I say that? 😅😅) some nice pieces. Staff are super friendly as a bonus.
W. C.
Had a brilliant stay here. Very modern, great food for all your meals. Great vibe in evenings with music playing to stimulate social interaction. Met some wonderful people too! Rooms are very comfortable and the movie collection is sufficient. Also shower is pretty neat as well as the pad used to control the various functions.
A. E.
Great concept. It perfect for short stays in London. The hotel is close to London Bridge Tube Station, Borough Market, South Bank etc. The Reception / Library etc. downstairs are great. The rooms are small, but have all you need in them. *Tip if the shower jets spray at the wrong angles, just brush the little nozzles with your hand while the shower is running and this will clear them (it is a Hansgrohe detail) and the cleaner do not seem to do this.
M.
Excellent location, easy to walk to the sights and subway nearby. The best thing about Citizen M is the staff, they are kind, helpful and downright amazing. They truly went out of their way to help with all my questions about getting around. If you are looking for a hotel that treats you not as a customer but as a friend, this is the place.
M. K.
We hired meeting room No 2 for our meeting and it was great. Chairs are comfy, water is fresh and cold (and enough of it) air condition perfect and media equipment was without any open wishes. I would go there agai to hold a meeting without hesitation. I cannot say anything about the hotel because we did not get rooms there but the lounge looks very cool!
J. Y.
Nice mordern hotel with stylish decorations. Not sure how I feel about all the self service stuff.
The rooms could be a little bigger, plus my room was facing the high street - a bit noisy. Other than that it's a decent place to stay in
C. J.
Never stayed in this hotel but I visit the bar/lounge regularly. There's a great atmosphere here. You get a lot of people working on their laptops and drinking coffee, other people may be having drinks and socialising but it's spacious and has great interior design. The staff are always very friendly and the drinks/menu is great. I love coming here if I'm working from home and want a change of scenery.
L. C.
This was a quirky and very modern hotel! Loved it! Great bar and very comfortable dining and drinking areas. Great decor. Ideal for business people. The room was funky, modern and very clean. XL comfortable bed. Would definitely stay here again!
C. D.
Quirky, arty and cool. This hotel is full of great design features from the corridors to the lounge area. The bar is a great space to relax with a drink.
The rooms are full of tech. It has lights, blinds, AC and media you control with the rooms iPad, and the bed is very comfortable.
B. M.
Lovely hotel! Great staff, welcome drink on arrival - anything from the menu. Cool room with remote control blind and curtain, mood lighting and a tablet to control everything and choose TV/radio/Films/temperature. Rain shower and really comfy, huge bed! Would definitely stay again.
J. W.
I thought this was a great hotel. The rooms are small but very well planned out. You have everything you need for one person. I stayed with my wife and it was a little tight. Room was clean and modern. Downstairs had a great place, it's like a living room combined bar and eating area and place to sit down and chat. Very enjoyable space. Would come again for sure!
G. G.
Really enjoyable stay. Massive beds, friendly service, very hipster decor that is refreshing and lots of cool tech to play with in your room from lighting to entertainment systems. Very reasonably priced for London in a central location. Feels like my go to hotel Chan now when visiting London. Will try Tower Bridge next time
D. M.
Really great hotel, although a little unique...it works extremely well and the staff were absolutely brilliant.
C. C.
A very hip hotel, with a smart administrative model, good service, fast response to any request prior and during reservation. High tech rooms with space optimization and progressive design. I would prefer fluffier towels that smell better. Otherwise very clean and comfy amenities.
G. B.
This contemporary hotel features rooms that emphasize the main activity one does at a hotel: sleep. The rooms are primarily bed space which allows plenty of room to stretch out at night. The remainder of the room is economically allocated with just enough space for the bathroom/shower and hall between the door and your bed. A TV is on one wall over the bed with more than plenty of media options for entertainment included in the price of your stay. The most innovative part of the room is the universal smart remote (an iPad). It controls the lights, media on the TV, the blinds, wake up call scheduling, and climate control. This remote can even change the color of the light in the shower space. There is an ironing room available on the floor you're staying to get the crinkles out of clothes stored in luggage. A 24/7 cafe/bar space is on the first floor and is more than happy to make you herbal tea when jet lagged at 4 in the morning. Overall, a solid hotel with very contemporary decoration.
S. F.
The concept of this hotel is great - everything from self check in to the technology that controls every aspect of the room from the lighting to the TV.
The only downside is when it doesn't work or all features aren't available, however there are backup controls in the form of manual switches!
Would definitely stay here again!
c. c.
Love this place, stayed 10+ times. I am 6ft5in so having a bed that is a 3rd of the room is exactly what I need when staying in London for business. I don't need much space and the small yet functional rooms are ideal.
t.
Hmm, not sure how to characterize this hotel. Its newer so the accommodations are modern and clean. The lobby/lounge area is very good for hanging out with friends or working, and there's plenty of space so both can happen without interferences. The rooms themselves were too small, particularly the shower. I couldn't hang out in the room because of the size, however the bed was large and comfortable for sleeping. If you're visiting London and do not need to spend time in the hotel room then this would be a good option. I was there for work and needed some time/space for working in the hotel and unwinding after long days and found it to be a bit difficult due to the small size of the room.
P. P.
An excellent place to stay during your London trip. The rooms are beautiful and completely controllable via the tablet, which is a nice feature, though our bathroom and washbasin were not always a 100% clean and there was some leftover hair and crumbs of some sort which is not proper for a hotel of this pricing category.
Anyhow, the staff was super nice, friendly and helpful. The lobby - if one could call it that, as it unified the bar, hangout lounge, reception and library - was beautifully designed and invited for a cocktail or two in the evening.
Altogether the citizen m is totally recommendable.
S. M.
Fantastic location with rooms having everything you need.
Seating area/bar area good. Nice and relaxing.
All staff helpful and friendly.
Will definitely use again.
A. M.
Had a lovely weekend over Valentine's. The hotel was very clean, very welcoming and check in was so simple and easy. The lobby was very warm and had a great atmosphere, with a chilled out edge. The room itself was amazing, it looks far better than it is shown on the website. The ability to alter the room just from an iPad was a very nice touch, opening and closing blinds/curtains, changing the mood lighting to all different colours, temperature of the room and also able to change channels on the TV. Would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends and family!
D. C.
Delightfully different. Staff couldn't be more helpful.
Rooms are small, but the common lounge provides plenty of space for sitting/eating/coffee.
Some standard hotel features are missing: tea& coffee in the room and the ability to get out of bed without climbing over your wife!
D. Q.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Very quiet room with good bed and shower. The free stuff in the minibar such as chocolate, peanuts and water was very welcome. Also a free drink at the bar which included most things on the menu. Pleasant atmosphere in the bar area at night and good quality produce for breakfast. Will happily return here next time in London..
T. C.
The hotel was absolutely fantastic, we loved that near enough everything in the room could be controlled via the iPad, we had a bit of fun with the mood lighting and we were impressed that the room had blinds and curtains. The shower was great - more than enough room for two people and the rainfall shower head was a joy to use. The bed was absolutely massive and very comfortable, due to the design of the room one end is against a window which we knew about beforehand. The location is great but it is about a 10 - 15 minute walk from London Bridge station but on the other hand it's only a 20 minute walk away from the London Eye etc. There's a M&S food shop right opposite and a few restaurants and pubs including a Nando's in the vicinity so we weren't struggling for choice when we were in the area.
A. H.
I was only here to drink at the bar with friends. What a great place to relax! The lobby is spacious with quite a trendy almost hipster style. There are plenty of sofas to chill out in. There are desks for people with laptops and board games for those who want to play. It's a very stylish place. Looks like there isn't a standard reception but a row of touch screens attended by staff for those who are staying at the hotel. Drinks were great too.
M. K.
Once of the nicest hotels I've stayed in for a while. Really great for a stop over in London. The rooms are small but with massive beds. The fittings are top notch and being able to control the lights, blinds TV and radio from the tablet provided was awesome. I didn't get much time to see the communal areas and I had to checkout before breakfast but from a glance they looked nice. The only bad point was my inability to find out how to turn the bathroom light on without all the others coming on too.
R. A.
Amazing! I loved it! .. Highly Recommended! The only down side was the iPad system that controlled everything in the room .. it was totally useless! Amazing? When everything else had so much thought put into it! .. I just know the designer never actually used it for real! But, hey ho! Everything else was near perfect! I loved the breakfast! Will defiantly stay there again!
A. D.
The hotel is very nice, clean, modern and has nice utilities. The stay was just extraordinary. But more than anything, the staff was extraordinary polite and made you feel valuable guest. Highly recommend!
J. C.
I go to this place every other Saturday for a social hosted by my interest club and the lounge of the hotel is the space we use.
They have a bar right in the middle with really nice staff.
The set up of the lounge is awesome because its like a house with many rooms only there are no doors. It few like you phase through each "room" whilst making conversations and relaxing in that space. You have to go to see what I'm talking about.
g. n.
Great rooms and really nice staff.
M. W.
I highly recommend this property, Its a little different and that's refreshing.
The staff really do care about their hotel and their guests. They engage with the customer and really want to help. It was a pleasure to stay there. The food although not "fine dining" is perfectly good for the price. The bedrooms are a well planned, simple and effective with a few gimmicks, such as the multi colored lighting, but thats just fun.
A modern approach, delivering a 1st class product, try it out.
K. T.
Perfect for short stays in a convenient location in London. Very comfortable beds/pillows. Good blackout blinds and soundproofing to ensure a solid night's sleep in the winter (choose a courtyard room for no street noise). In the summer, i find the noise from the courtyard too much, but i am a very light sleeper. Good value at the lower end of the pricing range that the rooms are offered; not good value above £250 in my opinion as there are other hotels in the very near vicinity for the same price with better styling and facilities.
J. I.
Friendly staff. Didn't like the software service check in desk. Would have preferred to be checked in by a receptionist. Didn't feel the reception area was very welcoming due to the big self check in computer screens. Hotel was nice, modern and our room was l lovely with a great view. Had everything we need for a nights stay. Loved the iPad that controlled all the lights and other features to the room. You couldn't open the window though and the air con didn't go very cold which wasn't great.
B. F.
The location is really good. Close to train stations. The room we had was really well equipped, hair dryer, radio, big selection of free movies. Also the drinks in the fridge are free.. 2 bottles of water and skein of flavored drinks and 2 breakfast bars!! Really recommend this hotel!!
M. F.
So the rooms are really small... But very nice. Super unique actually. Really nice bar and breakfast, great places to hang out and meet/work with people. Feels modern and hip while still being comfortable.
C. T.
So much better than expected. The room was clean, the shower was amazing and with the friendly staff, the spacious reception area/bar and courtyard in the middle of the hotel, really hit the nail on the head. The only problem was that through out the day time an alarm from the building across kept going off every couple minutes. Thankfully didn't go off at night.
P. M.
Not bad, though a number of channels didn't have signal and i was asked whether I was a guest at the hotel each time there was a staff change over whilst working in the communal area
J. N.
Painfully trendy hotel that falls somewhere between a business hotel, a Japanese capsule hotel and student accommodation. Nothing is simply described or labelled, everything is trying just a little bit too hard to be funny. Rooms are small (tiny) but well thought out with everything controlled from an iPad by the bed. Breakfast was an entirely adequate buffet. I felt like I paid about £100 too much for the night, but it was certainly an experience.
T. L.
Lovely hotel with great friendly people! Rooms are super functional of a little smaller than you'd expect. SmartHome style setup was cool and useful to control everything from the ipad (though sometimes not responsive I'm sure they'll fix the software with time.) Breakfast was very nice with a coffee service if you want something special.
R. R.
Well designed modern 'hipster' hotel with a decent bar. Bar prices aren't cheap, but you get a decent pint and good service. Bar and lobby decoration are great. I like the books everywhere.
The hotel room was interesting. For some reason we ended up in a wheel chair users room. Sorry if I'm non-PC. The room itself was a bit on the small side. One side of the bed butted up to the window. Useful if you habitually fall out of bed, but a bit of a drag climbing over someone else to go to the loo.
The bathroom was enormous, with all sorts of gadgets to make it easier for people with disabilities.
But the bathroom door was wonky. Not just a bit but jammed on the floor wonky. In fact so much that you ended up only being able to open it 18 inches, before it got stuck.
So, hipster wheel chair users should avoid the 4th floor room closest to the lift. Or have a slickly designed extremely narrow wheel chair.
Apart from that, they used the same wood patterned board on the ceiling as they do on the floor, which is is a bit disconcerting.
And they have nice triangular pens and they hide the TV remote in the drawer under the bed.
And that nice frosted glass cube is, in fact a fridge. Play with the light switches to make the blinds go up and down.
If you're French, you may have problems getting out in an emergency as the detail on the door are in English, Spanish, German and Chinese, but not French. Still if you're this far into this review, my guess is your English is ok, so you won't burn to death.

Very cool hotel in excellent location. Rooms are brilliant, lots of cool tech. Only reason not given 5 stars was the room could have been cleaner; the toilet had some unexpected on it, the mirror had someone else's debris on it and the sink was dirty (I just cleaned the mess up myself, but it's not what you expect to do in the first 20 mind of getting into a room, and bring tired from travel didn't want to have to complain and move room). Usually the mess would warrant a much lower rating (it was a bit gross) but the rest of the experience was excellent and at a very reasonable price.

What can I say! What a wonderful place to stay. The facilities were fabulous , the customer service was second to none and the breakfast provision was amazing. I will definitely use Citizen M again wherever I can. I really can’t recommend Citizen M Banksise highly enough. I’m very hard to impress, but they’ve managed 110%

Lovely, fresh concept... Affordable, fashionable and fun... The rooms are very small but well appointed... The room is the width of the terrific king sized bed and you sleep like in a beautiful appointed contemporary camper van. Everything is thought through and well done with a sense of humor. No wonder it made such a splash when it opened... The simple food are as a part of the lobby was great for breakfast...
We will stay at the Citizen M's again in our travels...

My partner and I stayed here in February for two nights and loved the place.
The lobby blends into the bar and buffet area but each area still feels separate enough. Each area is designed in a cool way, and the self-check ins make life so much easier.
The room we stayed in was quite small, but we spent most of our time sightseeing so it was fine. One entire wall was a giant window to the street outside which made the room feel bigger and we could see some of the London skyline from the bed.
All of the lighting, blinds and temperature in the room are controlled by an iPad in the room, which is really handy, plus there are tons of free movies to watch on the big TV over the bed.
It's a tad pricey, but you get what you pay for, a great location (the Shard to your right and a short walk to nearby Underground stops for the rest of London) and a really nice hotel.

Meeting rooms were trendy, comfortable and functional. The magnets and blackboard and plastic pen holder were a bit 'playgroup' and the serving staff dropped drinks on the floor and my boss which wasn't ideal. Great food and cool location though.

My second time staying here with my partner, this is a really great hotel for young travellers and business travellers. Rooms are small but comfortable with the focus on a truly enormous bed. The lobby features a bar and 24/7 dining area, all wonderfully decorated in a modern style. Free Wi-Fi and movies in the room completes the package.
B. C.
Really funky, modern hotel. Rooms are small but we'll appointed, and have excellent tech embedded via the in room tablet to control lighting, blinds, tv, AC etc.
The 'lounge room' common area is fantastic, and gives you a great place to read, have a coffee or wine, and chill away from the room.
Great concept, we'll executed.
P. S.
Small modern rooms and huge, stylish lounge bar areas. Great for city breaks as you.dont pay a premium for a big room. Huge comfy beds too. No iron in the bedroom but each floor has an ironing room. Love the AM and PM body washes. You can buy them at reception and we took some home. Fab staff, stylish and reasonably priced. What's not to love?
M. M.
Stayed for 1 night only but the hotel was great. Room was spotless and the bed was big and comfy. Loved the public spaces which were quirky and had lots of comfortable seating. The staff were extremely helpful so I'd definitely recommend to family and friends.
N. S.
Didn't like the room at all, so small you couldn't even walk around the bed, and the bathroom is a weird opaque pod thing stuck to the wall. No tea/coffee making facilities in rooms. Have given 3 stars because staff were friendly and hotel generally was clean and pleasant
C. W.
Really nice, affordable boutique hotel in a great location. There's a Gail's Bakery nearby, so don't worry about breakfast. There's also a Boris Bike stand right outside. The room was quite small but was high-tech with adjustable lights, blinds and a multi-media flat-screen TV, so you can snuggle in and watch a movie. A great place to stay for a weekend break in London.
M. L.
Super modern and greatly designed hotel. You will be welcomed by design classics all over the hotel lobby and a lot of space for conversations, to plan your city trip or to rest. Our room was modern with an iPad to manage the lights in every color you can imagine or to set the curtains, music, temperature and tv. The bathroom is an oval acrylic glass box, very cool and special.
J. C.
Great place to stay! Rooms were modern and well appointed. Great libby for working, cocktails ir breakfast. Food was top notch. I recommend including breakfast in your hotel stay, it is worth it !!
T. P.
Room very small not what we were expecting, very young staff dont really think about things ie:no spoon and sugar with coffee etc
J. P.
We knew there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms here so we took a travel kettle with us. Imagine our surprise when we returned to our room and found that the kettle, cups and spoons had disappeared!!! Raised this with a manager who located the kettle and cups but could not find the spoons which she suspected had been thrown away when the cleaning staff removed the items from our room. No note to let us know and the manager could not provide an explanation as to why personal property had been removed from our room. A small amount of compensation was provided but the incident marred our stay.

This was our second time at M. The lobby/lounge area is an awesome place to hang out and work like we usually do. The staff is young, energetic and friendly. The rooms are a bit bland but very neat and tidy, and probably the best you can get in the price range in the city. The food is top notch but a little over priced. Will definitely visit again.
M.
Location is brilliant. Room size is just nice. Breakfast is awesome too. But... just that there's no toothbrush, toothpaste, hair conditioner, which I thought would be staples for rooms. But I could be wrong. Also be careful of the stack that you are in, one of the stacks face an office block - which if one forgets to pull down the curtain/ blind... voila! You can see everyone working there and vice versa! Nonetheless, I love how there're movies to watch! good job there!
G. A.
Rooms are perfect for 1 person, might be a little tight for 2 as only one side of the bed is on the outside. Shower is amazing and they have recent films on the tv. The entire room is controlled by the supplied iPad and it's quite a funky experience. You get to pick your room when you check in (floor and view) however I went for a city view and all I could see was another building covered in scaffolding but it didn't spoil the experience. I'll go for the court yard view if I go back (court yard view attached). Restaurant/bar is good and the seating areas are very comfy and stylish.
T. S.
A very modern and funky hotel. Rooms not big but bed is massive and the room can be controlled from a iPad. Blinds and curtains open and close at a touch of a button. The lighting can be controlled to different colours and brightness.
The tv is great free movies with some of the latest films to watch. The whole hotel is designed well.
Breakfast was very good. The quality of food was amazing. Check in and out is done by a terminal which is nice and easy. Within a short walk of borough market and London bridge as well as Tate gallery, I would highly recommend.
A. M.
The hotel is really well situated for a city break with close connections for underground services. A short walk and you're alongside The Thames.
Checking in was fast & not the usual fiasco of standing around while the receptionist taps away at a keyboard for half an hour!
The room initially seemed shockingly small, but the use of the space was fantastic. It felt like we had been transported to Japan! The whole room is controlled by a tablet, from changing the light colours in the shower cubicle to the room heating & TV options - we could've spent all our time in the room playing with this!
Breakfast was superb, one of the best buffet style hotel breakfasts we've had!
Staff were all really helpful & polite. The only downside would be parking, we left the car in a private car park (recommended by the hotel) where it seemed the owner just made up the prices?! £38 for a 24hr period seemed a little steep to me.
C. S.
Extraordinary hotel with lots of conveniences for not too much money. The breakfast is delicious but i advise to book beforehand since you cannot pay cash locally but only via credit card. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are small but awesome.
L. O.
+ The hotel was clean, modern, nice lobby, EU sockets, USB + good movie section, so quite high tech, good bed. - It was quite chilly inside, even after I've set the right temperature on the iPad, the room might make you uncomfortable it you're not used to really small rooms.
G. B.
I love this hotel. The interior design is fantastic. Sharp, Dutch cool. Not at all pretentious.
Very comfortable and a great space for meeting friends, clients or just working solo.
Have the decency to buy something at the bar though. Their tea selection is good, though lacks rooibos / redbush tea.
c. o.
Really nice hotel. Cool rooms, with lots of tech in them. Although the rooms are pretty small, they have everything you need. If rooms were a little bit bigger, it would definitely be 5 stars.
There's also a nice vibe around the bar area.
The hotel is 5 mins from the tube station so location is pretty good too. Would recommend.
F. O.
Rating lobby area on ground floor, not the hotel services themselves. The lobby area is wonderful, just about one of the coolest places I've been. Beautifully designed, absolutely covered with art and quirky items and books. There are a plethora of places to sit, and different kinds: dining tables, laptop tables, couches, coffee date tables, etc. There even is a small outdoors section with tables and trees in which you can smoke. Free wifi, beautiful and very clean bathrooms, food and coffee, plugs everywhere. Fantastic place to go for a good study.
J. M.
Great hotel - exceptionally clean. Very friendly, kind, helpful and welcoming staff. Excellent all round.
P. M.
My first time to this hotel as an attendee to a meeting on consumer research branding. I was blown away with the style and layout of the hotel entrance and reception area. Nothing like a typical hotel that I have had experience in. There was no formal check in desk or concierge. The whole area resembled a huge modern library with bookshelfs and comfy seating areas with fireplaces and flat screen TV scattered around. In the centre of the building there was a square bar that served drinks. A restaurant through a huge glass wall was also visible. A very relaxed and informal atmosphere as you enter the hotel. Was guided upstairs via a spiral staircase to equally unique designed conference /meeting rooms all quirky in their own way. For example my room had old typewriters and analogue phones nailed to the wall. The snacks offered during the meeting were delicious. Huge soft rooms with giant fillings and cold salads that I have never seen before. A variety of cold bottled juices and water as well as hot beverages. Just a unique experience that I will remember for a long time. Well done Citizen M hotel.
S. M.
These rooms are so cool! Very futuristic hotel :) You control everything from an iPad in you room, and it actually works! Room is clean and well designed... absolutely loved the style! Staff is nice and useful.
J. B.
Great big bed. Free movies is really nice. The rooms are tiny and I didn't enjoy the self check-in. Sink in the bedroom is odd. The downstairs is popular but feels too...busy. An upscale version of the downstairs would be Hotel Hotel in Canberra, Australia, which is far less hectic feeling and is well composed. But the big bed buys it some latitude.
H. A.
Great place to live. Cozy room and every thing was close. No room service though. Separate rooms for ironing on each floor. Good use of red and black color. Big comfy bed and the best part is everything is controlled by a tablet even the lamps.
L. G.
Very good and clean hotel with all the services you can así for.
B. H.
First stay. Loved this place!! Perfect experience, excellent beds and smart room tech. All hotels will move to this model. We'll use citizenM everywhere there is one from now on. I cannot recommend enough.
L. P.
Stayed at CitizenM for our first Wedding Anniversary and absolutely loved it. Concept wise it was very similar to places with stayed in Amsterdam. Very chilled out vibe and the bar was awesome. Self check in was easy and there was someone to help us out. Our room was filled with balloons, a cake and a congratulations note with a voucher for two free drinks. The bed was lovely and massive. The selection of movies was great and the blackout blinds really made a difference. All in all we would stay here again. In fact it may be the only place we stay in London from now on!
t. b.
Great place to stay in the heart of London. The rooms are very modern and on the technology egde of digital using! I stayed here for two times (business trips) and I enjoyed the multi cultural and open minded atmosphere. Breakfast and other meals are fine (okay I like British breakfast). And last but not least - the service was always helpfull and friendly
S.
Nice wide windows, spacious bedrooms and lounge area. Clean and good value. The area doesn't feel very safe at night time but it's very close to public transport.
A. K.
Great location, price, service, and design. Booked on short notice on a recommendation from a friend for a surprisingly low price. Perfect location for a first time London tourist within a five minute walk to the Tate Modern, five minute walk to the nearest Tube station, and with two small grocery on the block. Rooms are small though extremely functional and well designed. The ground floor lounge includes a nice courtyard, cafe and bar, sitting areas, and hot-desks — a boon for business travelers. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and quickly accommodated a request to change rooms when the first had problematic HVAC. My only caveat, and this is a personal preference, is that windows are non-operable and in-room AC's can take a while to cool and ventilate the space. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
K. P.
This is a lovely venue, rooms are so well appointed and very funky too; everything is controlled by an iPad but is so easy to do. The bar serves an array of different types of gin, vodka etc as well as cocktails. Overall I would recommend this hotel to every one; stylish, modern and contemporary design
T. M.
Huge beds, hipster decor all around the hotel, lots of cool tech in rooms and great media entertainment with up to date movies included. big thumbs up and looking forward to staying at other Citizen M hotels

I can’t say anything about the hotel as I’ve never stayed here but sometimes enjoy visiting the bar/lounge area for a relaxing drink in it’s great atmosphere. Drinks are expensive, but as you’d expect from a hotel lounge.. probably best steer clear of the coffee though
R. W.
Would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to stay near London bridge with a professional feel to it. Staff were lovely and little details like luggage storage within the room was thought about (a big drawer under the bed to keep it tidy) everything was great

Wow! Although small-ish rooms the facilities makes up for it. I think a king size bed (well it was massive) also made up for it. Food great and staff more than happy to help.

Citizen M Bankside is well located, it is 7 minutes from Southward station. The hotel is very nice and nicely unconventional; the staff was very friendly and helpful. Confortable bed, king size, and you can find all the facilities, hair drier, body wash, shampoo.
All the facilities in the room you manage using an IPad, I mean, lights, TV, Air con.
Around the hotel are many nice place to eat and nice art gallery.
Also, it is about 5 minutes from the Tate Modern Museum.
The breakfast is expensive, however, around the hotel are many nice and good places where you can have breakfast or coffee.
O. S.
One of the most warm and cozy hotel lounges. Awesome decoration- every corner has its theme. For a quick lunch break, after work drinks or work-out-of-the-office time, this is a great place to have a coffee, grab a beer or meet friends. Modern atmosphere and great quality. Beers are slightly more expensive than at the pub but you're just sitting on a Philip Stark chair. ;)
S. L.
Amazing hotel. Checking in and out took about a minute as they have self check in desks but staff on hand if you do have questions. Mood lighting in the rooms was fantastic. Everything from the curtains to the temperature could be controlled with an iPad. I would recommend this hotel.
R. K.
Great hotel. Nice modern atmosphere with super friendly staff. The breakfast was amazing! Rooms were modern and functional with a nice comfy big bed and cool electronic controls. Great location for great price!
S. L. M.
Very modern hotel with iPad controls in the room, running both the television and room lighting. Nice amenities like free minibar drinks and movies add an extra touch. Xl King beds are exceptionally comfortable, though the rooms are small. Not recommended for large groups or long term stays, but for single travelers or small parties hard to find a more comfortable place at a better location for this price.
D. R.
Love the concept... the fact that you do not have to deal with reception desk that is only interested in charging your visa ASAP is a relief... funny thing is that a high tech hotel looks very different when the demotivated system breaks down ... but that’s why I love technology :). Good job change this rusty dusty sector !

I popped to citizenM on a Sunday afternoon for a coffee and chat. It was recommended by a friend and I loved it. Right level of background music very modern but cool interior design pleasant, almost home-like feeling. I didn't stay at the hotel bit, but I am sure it's worth to try.
C. B.
Cool hotel with smaller, well-appointed rooms. The towels, in particular, are great. Oversized and very soft. The bed is comfortable and the shower is excellent as well.
J. M.
Nice and clean, very impressed with the modern rooms, there are light switches and such but all can be remotely operated with the Apple ipad, the bed was really big and comfortable so I had a good nights sleep, and the large shower had a normal shower but pull a lever and that turned on a rain shower above brilliant !! and the staff working here are very polite and friendly
P. G.
A simple hotel that looks great and offers quality service. All looks and feels new and properly serviced. The staf is more than happy to help you and the breakfast is defenetly a big plus. The room was nice and offered all that was needed. Including propper blinds, a tv an a good shower.
Y. H.
Interesting hotel. Cozy rooms and a great space downstairs for working or lounging. The ambassadors are really nice as they treated us to two free drinks for NYE.
B.
I've stayed in the Amsterdam and the London branches now. Defo a must visit place . The customer service is unlike any other 5 stats always. They have a good and clear understanding of the products they have and one of the bar staff recommended a British Prosecco/sparkling wine! Omg it was actually amazing! I’m not a big Prosecco drinker, but this drink is something else. The food is good and if you don’t want to eat in, you can go just 5/10 mins walk in either direction and you can get food. There is a Marco Pierre bistro literally 1 min away from the main entrance and the southbank is 10 mins away. If you go London, it’s a high recommendation that you stay here. Affordable luxury rooms. With all the essentials you need. Comfy bed and the room is controlled from a iPad. What’s not to like? I will be visiting again, if it’s UK or abroad, I’m not sure of yet, but I will be a returning customer! 5 stars doesn’t give this place justice! Thankyou for W lovely stay, always .
J. D.
This Citizen M, just like the other 2 in London are great, reasonably priced hotels and all 3 are in great locations for central London. Didn't stay here as a guest but did see the rooms which have very large beds and a large TV over the bed. The staff at the hotel are excellent and very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a reasonably priced, well located friendly hotel.
G. C.
Great place. Standard rooms but great design. Everything is "smart home" (use the alarm setting on the ipad in the room and it will wake you up by slowly opening the curtains automaticcly and soft sounds. Its awesome). The bar and lobby are nicly designed. Would definatly go there aigen next time.
G. D.
Such a cool quirky smart hotel. The whole room is functioned by an iPad, free movies, great facilities, black out blinds. Really friendly and accommodating staff too.
J. C.
Cant fault this place they do everything in there power to make you have the best night stay. Rooms are amazing. Will be coming back next month for a stay for one night. Just need to book it.
S. D.
This was our first experience of a citizenM hotel. It was modern and an interesting use of technology to control everything in the bedroom.
I didn't like the bed, It was very hard and for me, uncomfortable. It was also, literally wall-to-wall, so we had to climb over each other to get in.
P. W.
Great hotel with it's own quirky brand and character. Good location with cafes and bistros pretty much next door, with Boroufh Market just around the corner.
P. C.
It's a really nice place. Interesting decor and nice atmosphere. It is providing something different to what other places offer in the area. Staff was friendly. Sandwich we ordered was tasty, but a little dry. They run out of beer on tap on the night I was there. I will come back and give it another try :)
B. A.
Rooms are small but the main lobby is beautifully decorated and feels like a trendy living room. The bar and café is well stocked, although one may have difficulty ordering the same coffee twice. You never get the same!
A. M.
Great, new, modern, although small (like normal in London) rooms. Nice shower, handy iPad room control, easy automatic checkin. Really good price/quality ratio. Seems to be targeted for younger clientele.
J. J.
Amazing Flair. Feels not like a normal hotel. Very modern Look, rooms are controlled via ipad together with video streaming and wifi Radio. Lounge feels more Like a modern bar and hangout. Very hip
T. W.
Great location with so many amenities nearby. Friendly and personable service. No gym on site, but you can access a gym across the road. The rooms are well thought out and provide all you need for a short term stay.
P. L.
Great place to stay if your ever in London for a business trip
S. S.
Unique theme hotel.. Contemporary rooms with tech savvy controller. its futuristic with minimalist design in mind. the lighting was interesting. The breakfast was amazing.
L. F.
Wow...such a quirky hotel...friendly,fun,the room sizes are small however you'd not think so as they fit so much in and such good tekkie things with high ceilings.....you don't notice the size. All controls are via a tablet...great music, movies or TV...all free.
Complimentary water in fridges and ll that you need in the rooms.Curtain and blinds were amazing...remote control and boy do they block out the light....and considering its location you cant hear a damn thing from outside.
The beds are humongous and so comfy....good nights sleep..ahh!!
!Great brekkie...£12.50p per person however it was 1st class and you could just help yourself to anything else.
Staff were full of energy,so happy, polite and explained all that there was on offer...good bar once we returned from our night out and nothing was too much trouble.
The "Citizen M" branding is everywhere and so quirky...makes you smile each time you turn a corner or enter another area....great.
Really good price too....I'd definitely recommend this place as opposed to a Premier Inn at the end of the same road that charges the same price for a bland room and customer services.
Check this cool place out...great for all ages x
J. H.
Service and staff were great and friendly ! Cheapest rooms are quite small but remain ideal for a short trip (one-two nights). The lobby and common areas are beautiful and well decorated and the proximity with the Tate and the Thames is definitely a + !
C. W.
I attended the citizenM hotel to use one of the conference rooms as part of a day-long workshop. The size of our group was approx. 20 people.
I was really impressed with the conference rooms and the conmunal spaces at the hotel; modern, clean, stylish with excellent facilities. There was an outdoor space next to our conference room which was ideal to get some fresh air during breaks.
The refreshments provided were of a high standard; pastries with jam/ marmalade upon arrival, muffins and cookies throughout the day. The lunch was a selection of high quality sandwiches, salads, crisps and fruit. The waiter told me thay all of the ingredients were from an Italian supplier. I can't recall the name but they tasted great!
I don't drink coffee so it did not bother me but the coffee machine in the conference room was broken. Despite being reported, no-one came to fix it. There were some tired and angry coffee-drinkers in our group by mid-afternoon.
A. G. (. N.
Great hotel. Simple check-in process, I highly recommend doing the pre arrival check-in. I arrived around 11 am and was able to get my room immediately. Good location but no drop off area and hard to get taxi but solvable with uber. Room is like other citizenm comfy and with ipad that controls the room. Not a lot of moving space but sufficient. Would recommend it.
D. O.
Beautiful hotel, so clean, and very modern. Staff are lovely. The bar is very modern, and one can also have food there. I would fully recommend here!!
M. Ć.
The hotel itself is situated slightly off high road, thus getting less traffic, however, still within minutes from most tourist attractions and multiple commute hubs.
The decor is really the biggest selling point of the chain as there are a lot of quirky things placed all over. Old-school telephones, typing machines and wide variety of books along with different sculptures can be found all around the communal areas.
We have rented a few meeting rooms over the course of several days and each was equipped with large screen TV, fast wi-fi, white board and chalk black board. The rooms are air conditioned and there's natural light coming in - great places to spend several hours at a time.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and always around anticipating any of our needs. While we didn't experience any issues, without a doubt they would be able to resolve anything that would arise.
Highly recommended!
R. E.
Great location near to the Tate and Borough Market amongst other locations. Superb facilities in the ground floor whether popping in for a coffee and a snack with friends or meeting work colleagues. Plenty of formal or informal seating. Even fans laid out to work for the day alone or as a team with power, free wifi andeven free Macs to use. The rooms are quirky and modern with the bed across the window area with all the lights etc controlled from a tablet.
C. Y.
Lovely hotel for a coffee or a lunch, or even to hold a meeting. So unique interior design and great design. I didn't stay there but I certainly recommend it for one of the above activities.
A. C.
Great hotel chain. All rooms identical. Might be one you love or hate. I love it. Bathroom doesnt offer much privacy if thats an issue for you. Good location and close to london bridge and metro. Self service breakfast. Limited selection but plenty of alternatives in the area. .
M. R.
When you walk into the lobby the first thing you notice is the stunning decor and contemporary furniture then it's the large number of people socialising. There is a reception area rather than the usual imposing reception desk and staff were very welcoming. Check-in is quick and if you book breakfast in advance you will save a few pounds. My room was a surprise as it was so compact, i.e. the kingsize bed takes up the full width of the room. Despite the compact size of the room it was comfortable because it is so well planned. Unusually, I did not have to pay for the items in the honesty bar. Towels were sumptuous and there were multi-pin sockets and a tablet from which you control the temperature and tv etc. The blinds and curtain on my window which overlooked the courtyard were electronically controlled. Perhaps because the bed was so comfortable I woke later than my alarm so breakfast was a bit rushed. I would like to have had more time to lounge around with my breakfast reading one of the many books or newspapers. Love the location at Bankside which I got to by a stroll along the river.
G. B.
The hotel has a great little cafe which is perfect for hiding in and getting some work done. It is full of light, has great drinks and snacks and lots of comfortable chairs to be fully productive.
S. H.
Great location, bed was nice and big. Seems like a posh caravan which is odd. My only real gripe is the lamps are mounted in the tables, so you don't have a great place for your suitcase...
N. U.
Good for 1 person. Cramped for 2. The rooms are tiny but considering the location and the price of breakfast, overall it's a good place to stay. The had trouble with the air-conditioning while we were there but they handled it great and refunded us one night's stay because we had the one bad evening.
D. B.
I absolutely love the design of this place. The furniture is colourful and quirky, the staircase is magical and there is a very warm vibe from the surrounding nick nacks and friendly staff. I would advise anyone to pop by even if it is just for a coffee or a bite to eat. Such a fun place.
D.
Quick and easy check-in, lovely clean room with movies on demand and a massive comfortable bed. Had cocktails in the bar and then a really great sleep, can't fault the place.
Walked to London Bridge tube station in the morning after a quick trip to Borough Market...
Would recommend this boutique hotel to anyone staying in London.
h. z.
Spent there three nights at the middle of the week. The staff was very welcoming and kind. The room is very styled with great modern style and although it is small, we felt very comfortable in it.
The huge bed and the mood modifying tablet helped...
B. H.
This hotel was worth the money for 1 night the room was really clean was a decent size, the lights in the room and the toilet was controlled through a ipad you even the blinds and tv was, i will 100% be going back 💯💯💯
P. G.
Stylish, artsy and good value. The hotel is very unique with an open plan ground floor, bar area and seating.
Rooms are basic but comfortable. There's an ensuite 'pod' with a toilet and a shower. There's free WiFi and a good selection of movies and TV channels. Everything is controlled by a tablet: mood lights, alarms, TV curtains, etc. The tablet works, I guess, but it feels a but unresponsive and gimmicky. Maybe in a few years with a few revisions this is how all our hotels will work.
Breakfast isn't included but we got a voucher for two free drinks for booking online and paying in advance, which was nice. The bar is good, with a decent selection of drinks and cocktails.
The hotel is super convenient for the southbank/bankside area. Its a few minutes walk from the Tate modern and the globe. If you're looking to explore north of the river, the nearest tube station is Southwark. Alternatively you can get the RV1 bus which goes to Covent Garden in one direction and Tower Bridge in the other and stops right outside the hotel.
L.
Stayed here a few times when working in ldn. Really love it. Tablet in room that controls lights, blinds etc. Good film selection too
M. G.
As with all these hotels they set the lobby out as a perfect workspace and as long as you get some food and drink they don't mind you sitting and doing some work.
Always friendly staff, good coffee and tea, good breakfast and lunch options, one day I'll have to try their rooms too!

This is by far my favorite place to go for a drink in London. It's a little bit out of the way (unless you live/work in Southwark!) but it's worth the walk across the river.
The drinks are great, the atmosphere is lovely but still peaceful and the decor is gorgeous. It's a great place to go get drunk with friends or even to sit and work in the afternoon.
G. Y.
I didn't stay at the hotel but we used a room for a training session. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If you're in the London Bridge area looking for a nice place to host a meeting or just use some wifi to get some work done, this is perfect. Good coffee, nice vibe.
K. B.
Very comfortable and large bed, everything you could need, well organised and set out room despite being small. Staff were polite and helpful. Didn't eat here but had a drink in the bar which was large but still cosy. Well located very near the tate modern and Shakespeare globe.
L. R.
C. G.
If you work in the area and need to hire rooms for a meeting, citizenM is a great choice. The spaces come equipped with everything you need. The bar downstairs has free WiFi, drinks are at a premium as you might expect but it's a nice, chilled atmosphere for a wind-down glass of wine if you're in the area.
T. L.
Location is very good, though roughly in between two metro stations so about 10 minute walk to either direction. The rooms are very good, but a bit small for US standards. Service has been excellent.
B. T.
What a cool hotel. Small but funky rooms with massive beds and free movies! I didn't try breakfast, but lots of folks seemed happy with the buffet
E. H.
Great place - visited for a training day and used their meeting spaces. Only downside was that the staff were a little reluctant to give us water from the bar in a jug rather than bottled water... Even when we explained that we had our own refillable bottles.
G. N. M.
Excellent atmosphere, checking in and out is unbelievably simple and quick. Bed might not be suitable for someone with back problems/access issues as it was quite high and required a bit of climbing.
D. P.
Loved it from the first time. Very geeks orientated, very different from an ordinary hotel. Loved the smart room settings and the organic breakfast. Not giving it 5 stars just because of a little misunderstanding I had with the staff in the Paris branch.

Returned to citizenM London Bankside on a business trip to the UK, having stayed here some years ago. Pleased to see nothing had changed - groovy fitout, courteous staff, cool, cozy rooms which are ideal for single travellers or couples, and awesome breakfasts, drinks and snacks. The location is great for South Bank and other attractions and short walk to the Tube. Recommended!
E. V.
Wow! Although small-ish rooms the facilities makes up for it. I think a king size bed (well it was massive) also made up for it. Food great and staff more than happy to help.

Me and my Girlfriend came here for our 4 years together, and as soon as we saw it from the outside, we new it was going to be amazing. as soon as we entered, the staff were extremely welcoming and very friendly. the place looked amazing, and had really cool stuff dotted around, with a really nice bar, comfy seats, a fire and generally had a really home-like feel.
we got to the hotel around 12, but the check-in wasn't until 2, which wasn't a problem as the staff said we could leave our bags in the clockroom, and gave us some pointers of what we could do, you could even stay in the hotel ground floor and not be bored to be honest.
we came back at 1, and were able to check in then, so we went up stairs ( which had a really cool staircase) then took the lift the rest of the stay.
When we got to our room, we were surprised, because the photos looked the it was a lot smaller, but the bed was HUGE (I'm 6ft1 and I could spread all my limbs out and still have loads of room) the tv was placed on the wall, so you could turn the pillows and it was like you were sitting in an extremely comfortable sofa. there were loads of free movies, and channels, also free wifi. The shower was incredible, and you could use the rain shower, or the normal power shower, but both were extremely refreshing.
There was an Ipad which you could change the moodlighting, open and close the curtains and blinds, and even control the TV, although the only thing that I would say, is the I pad didn't work that well, but it wasn't a major issue because you could still control everything with buttons on the wall.
the bedroom was amazing though, and we had a great night sleep (and didn't want to get out of bed in the morning aha)
at around 9pm we went downstairs to try out the bar, and we checked out what cocktails they had, and tried a couple. the cocktails were refreshing, and the bar staff were extremely friendly and chatty, so it wasn't awkward whilst they made the drinks.
The next morning got all showered and packed up, we went downstairs, left our bags in the cloackroom, and went to have breakfast. The bar/seating area was really home-like and comfortable to eat in. the food was amazing, and there was a wide range of things to eat and drink. after eating breakfast, we didn't eat until 4pm and we weren't even hungry!
Over all the stay was amazing, and we will DEFINITELY be coming back. I would recommend this stay, and the price for London was amazing too! would have expected to pay about £300 for this quality.

Guess I should start with I’m american. 3rd time in London. First time American visitors note there are no hand towels in Europe lol. Where to start? The hotel is very cute butttt not very functional. I got an iPad that’s constantly on 5% battery although it’s been on the charger all day. I changed outlets. I changed chargers. And still nothing. Also Wasn’t too fond of not having a receptionist and having to use a computer to check in. I will say I loved the shower head and the XL King bed is sooooo comfy. rooms are minimal in size and amenities, similar to Yotel but It was still cute and clean. The blackout curtain is the best thing in the room! You can sleep peacefully uninterrupted for days. I love the decor in the lobby and the courtyard. But Rooms have no carpet. Which means cold floors. Temp only goes to 25 degrees Celsius but it didnt feel like heat. No peep hole on the door. Lights, tv, air, blinds were all iPad controlled. my 5th floor “view” isn’t actually a view. I look directly into an office building. The Free movies are about the only things available in English. Free drinks and “snacks” in the mini fridge were eh (onion peanuts and some honeycomb bar). no coffee pot, or kettle, or iron in the rooms. I also wasn’t impressed with their little food shop in the lobby.
M. M.
These are my favourite hotels to stay in in the world. The New York hotel is in an awesome location right next to Times Square. Also a brilliant place to relax in after a long day of sightseeing. Modern, unique and great staff
N. K.
Room size is not so great for the price. The bed is unexpectedly huge though enough for 3 people to sleep. Location of hotel is close to attractions like Shard etc. But it's very far from any tube stations. 15 min walk to the closest station is bit of pain
T. M.
CitizenM London Bankside is one of the best houses of this branch. I like the approach of the hotel chain as that what you get is quality, rooms are small (concept) but smart designed, excellent WiFi and a great lobby. The bar offers a quite good selection of food and beverage. Nice atmosphere.
Not that cheap except you book far in advance.
M. A.
Checked into Bankside Citizen M, had very warm and friendly reception from the staff here. They were so helpful and conciderant.
After a great night out, great pizza and chat with staff and other people's staying at M.
The room is stylish, loved the alternate lighting, the bed was very comfortable with TV reception.
Thank you Citizen M, we will be back.
Mr Marcus Agor.

Great hotel & good concept! Nice, clean and modern. Prices are reasonable too, considering you're in the middle of London and close to the Themes River.
G. B.
Wonderful hotel in a great location. Very hip and modern with your rooms completely controlled by a tablet computer. Excellent cocktails too, self service food is high quality. Will be back!
D. S. H.
It is my favourite hotel chain.
S. B.
Very nice rooms and general experience. A quirky hotel to stay at and a very comfortable and cool bed. I slept well but thought the rooms slightly too expensive for what you got.
H. A.
I stayed here for a business trip. London is a fantastic city on its own, but the Citizen M was a brilliant experience. Feels like a Rockstar hotel with a great eye on detail everywhere. (lobby or meeting rooms) The hotel rooms are all controlled by ipads, including the lighting and televisions. A tailored service. It defies nonsense hotel pains like "everything in the fridge is free."
Very close to the main attractions, I would definitely come here again!
More of a couple or single hotel, not sure about family stays.
B. R.
Fantastic hotel. Very cool details and free drinks in the fridge. Even had a way of casting content from your mobile to the TV. Ipad control is super cool. Would come back again for sure.
G. M. C.
Awesome rooms and location. A bit overpriced but really nice. Different from other hotels in same price category. Very tasteful deco. Staff is ok. Haven't tasted the food because it didn't look very good.
C. S.
Loved the atmosphere: the room is relatively small, but for me it was big enough to work some hours comfortable (the mood light helped). Staff was friendly and quickly answered questions and the breakfast was fine (not used to London prices but did feel the 17ish pounds for breakfast was quite expensive).
Would visit again on another trip to London.
S. N.
great bar - smart casual with trendy interior design, good food, and pleasant staff. my new favourite in this part of London. (haven't been to the hotel so stars are for bar only)
H. M.
Staff were super friendly, beds were so comfortable and prices are reasonable. We will be back when we are next in London.
K. C.
The staffs are very friendly and approachable. The room is really clean and tidied well. The ambiance is great and relaxing. Great place to stay. Excellent value for your money.
K. v. G.
I like the citizenM concept; simple yet elegant room, with a good bed and a good shower for a reasonable price. The free welcome drinks are a plus as well as the friendly atmosphere.
S. R.
Very modern and convenient. Would benefit from a kettle in the room.
G. M.
Great modern hotel. Rooms are small but super functional and high tech. Bar staff is nice and does great cocktails.
S. 7.
You want to try the awesome cocktails. Start of a great night put. Separately, for business, the rooms are unique and quite an intimate space to teams. Will always name it as one of my top places for go if on bankside
A. W.
I think the hotel is exactly where tourism is moving from its luxury young hip and smart... without being pretencious or over done. The only critique i woild maybe make would be having appropriate chargers and better audio facilities for bluetooth enabling as i think it was a shame to be so restricted in this emilent of smart sharing as the rest was top of the range and accessible from top of the range appliances.
Staff are also very accomodating tollerant chilled whilst being enthusiastic fast-paced and professional but in no way intrusive
G. T.
Wonderful Place especially for couples!
The staff can't do enough for you! Everybody is very helpful and friendly!
I would definitely recommend this place!
R. G.
Brilliant hotel. Rooms are compact and cozy and really cool. Mood lighting, rain shower, free movies all controlled using the iPad in the room and free snacks!
S. R. S.
Citizen M is chic hotel in the heart of London. The hotel has beautiful interiors and great ambience. I have used the conference rooms and the lounge at Citizen M on multiple occasions. The hotel offers options for food and drink. The staff at the hotel are great too.
T. A.
This is a hotel that builds on a new concept to make you feel less long away from home. All staff is very kind and personal, without beeing "too nice".
You get a free drink in the bar when you arrive and there staff is very fast to start an easy conversation to not feel lonely.
The rooms have everything you need and some more without exessive space you anyway don't need. If you going to other side of themsen you have a lovely morning walk over the southwark bridge.
In the night sometimes there is a very skilled violinist as well that playing under that very bridge with wonderful acoustic.
For once the pictures on the hotel website is accurate and true to what you will meet, so instead I attach a photo from the view from the bridge close by.
A. T.
We spent one night at citizenM and what is not to LoVe! The pod like rooms are extremely comfortable with a massive bed and spacious shower room. Delightful mood lighting and technology in the room can be controlled by a tablet.
The open plan public areas are well designed bringing art, colour, creativity and comfort to the fore. The areas are vaguely subdivided and offer traditional dining spaces along with a variety of soft sofa's and Eames' chairs, all of which create a place to unwind and breathe easy in the centre of London.
As for the cost, we felt the delicious food and drinks from canteenM along with the superior accommodation was reasonably priced and worth every penny.
A highlight for both of us was the customer service. We had a technical fault in our room and once reported to the staff, known as ambassadors, we found their response was beyond our expectations and for that we are very grateful. Indeed all our interactions with the ambassadors were extremely positive. The beautiful, contemporary surroundings and attentive, knowledgable staff made our short stay an excellent experience.
R. W.
Would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to stay near London bridge with a professional feel to it. Staff were lovely and little details like luggage storage within the room was thought about (a big drawer under the bed to keep it tidy) everything was great
T. B.
We stayed here after visiting the citizenM in NYC and it was just as impressive! Uber stylish, comfortable, fun and a cool home from home. The rooms have huge beds and come well stocked with everything you need for a stay.
The lobby/living room is great if you want to sit and relax or grab a drink. Staff are really friendly and super helpful. We couldn't have asked for more and we will definitely strive to stay here again next time we visit London or anywhere else there is a citizenM.
The bankside hotel is within walking distance of Tower Bridge & Southwark tube stations. There are plenty of food places nearby and a couple of convenience stores. It's located close to plenty of the London attractions too.
T. S.
Anazing hotel! While the rooms aren't too big, they are very modern. In our room you could control everything from the RGB led mood light in the shower to the curtains and blinds via a iPad.
I really like the concept of the hotel.
Will be staying there if i go to london again.
R. B.
Amazing hotel, completely modern rooms are automated and each have a Samsung tablet to control lights entertainment and blinds. Free Wi-Fi free movies great bar downstairs. High pressure shower.
Some complained about lack of tea making facilities but considering everything else and the insanly cheap prices. This is probably the best hotel I've stayed in in London.
M. W.
Fantastic hotel for an overnight stay. Well designed room uses the space well, lovely big beds. Great selection of beers at the bar.
M. H.
Clearly one of the better hotels in Central London. I've stayed here ever since they opened a couple of years ago and never had a bad experience. If you're looking for a place to stay that focuses on the essential requirements of a business traveler then this is the place to be
I. M.
Cozy, interesting room. Great amenities for entertainment. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable place to stay, especially for those who will be sight seeing throughout the day.
S. “. D.
Very nice Design Hotel. Good meeting facilities for meetings up to 30 people. As everywhere in London room rates fluctuate a lot. So many times a stay is quite pricey.
e. t.
Nice place, nice staff, very clean, enjoying my stay
m. x.
Very friendly staff, nice food and relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. Didn't stay in a room, just a lunch meeting but I wouldn't mind booking a room there. Train it tho, parking in Se1 isn't great!
o. n.
Great ambiance. Great room and lobby feel. Friendly and helpful staff. 24/7 bar is absolutely convenient. Proximity to everything in London is exceptional.
G. H.
A great hotel for anyone who loves modern hotels and technology.
The rooms are clean, the hotel is clean and everything functions like clockwork. Each room is a pod, where you can control everything from the blinds, coloured lights to the TV.
The reason it doesnt quite get 5 stars is because the Samsung tablets that control your room can become slow and infuriating at times, and the nearest tube stations are 10 minutes walk away. OK in the day, but the walks aren't the best at night - some dodgy people inbetween
s. h.
Small but well designed rooms with a tablet to control lights, blonde, curtains and TV. Bar area is funky and decent priced for a hotel bar.
Z. W.
Very funky hotel. Perfect for celebrating friend's birthday. The rooms are pod style - minimalist but functional and everything controlled by in room iPad.
H. S.
Comfortable seating in the lounge. Plenty of good drinks. Have visited couple of times already. It's bit of a walk from London Bridge station but you always have Borough Market to make up for that.
A. L.
The staff are so helpful and kind. Thanks to Harry at reception and Teela at the bar for just being awesome, you both clearly love your jobs. The automated rooms were very cool and VERY clean!
A. M.
They were extremely helpful during the terrorist attack recently. They took all of us downstairs in the bar up. Gave us food and blankets and kept us informed as much they could and even housed those who were not original booked in with them but needed a place for the night due to the evacuations.
S. C.
Nice hotel - however design flaw with the bathroom in that when you open the door it smashes into the toilet simultaneously denting the door and waking up everyone within a 5 mile radius.
A. S.
I regularly visit CitizenM to work in the lobby, which is now charged at £15 per day. Great value in my opinion - good music & coffee, super-fast Wifi, comfortable chairs. The ambassadors are always friendly and professional - I'd like to pay special mention to Kuba & Terry (Bankside), Brady (Shoreditch) and Harry (Tower Hill)!
S. F.
Interesting chic location. Plenty of novelty and interesting décor one might not find elsewhere. Complimentary drinks and good breakfast. Very cool remote control of all lights, temperature and television from iPad in room.
M. R.
Four times in London, four times at citizenM! The rooms are nice, just what you need to have a pleasant stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Just a little bit disappointed that there is no kettle and tea in the room.
P. b.
Rooms are very modern, controlled by an app. Then launge areas are also very nice to go and work . It is 10min walk from the closest tube station but in London there are buses everywhere.
r. l.
Have stayed at CitizenM previously and really loved the place, room control done via an ipad and different modes, lots of films etc!
Last visit wasn't so great due to the ipad failing so no way to control certain aspects of the room.
M. W.
Great for an easy I overnight stay in the Southbank area. Basic room but perfectly fine for a single night.
G. M.
A really modern hotel with a good breakfast and very helpful staff. All in all they should work on their self check-in system. It takes far to long to enter all details via touch screen. Pre check-in via app would be great.
B. C.
Friends of ours were staying here so we have only seen the foyer! If you love interior design then this place is worth a visit just to soak up the atmosphere. Grab your self a cup of tea and relax on some very expensive furniture, as you redesign your home in your head.
G. P.
Citizen M is always great. Best beds in the hotel business. I would have given this a 5 star but doesn't seem as polished as other citizen M hotels I've stayed at
S. D.
Fun hotel! Vibrant lobby and bar area, small(ish) rooms but with comfortable beds and all the amenieties you could wish for including free minibar and on demand movies.
F. E.
Amazing, loved the whole experience of staying at citizenM, the family enjoyed too
B. N.
Self check in and great breakfast! Visited for one night very welcoming friendly staff and super clean room / facilities. If Apple Inc. Owned a hotel chain this would be it.
S. P.
Good hotel in the city. Rooms could be better for the price. Service was excellent.
P. L.
Hotel is great. Free Wi-Fi. Desk space to work. Great food and drinks when needed. Used as a day space to get work done and found it much better than other work spaces
H. I.
Great bar and lounge area
E. W.
Small contemporary rooms. Everything you need and at your fingertips. Huge amount of on-demand media accessible via iPad and then cast to large TV. Free minibar
R. P.
Great Location, the room is not big but really optimized. It is almost sleeping in a spaceship :)
Service is adorable and helpful. Great address for my next stay
M. J.
Loved the location, super easy check-in and out. Only cleanness of the room could be improved - an empty bottle left behind the bed, dust on a mini-fridge, dirty shower head.
J. P.
Was only in the bar but it was perfect, the staff were attentive and the ambience was busy but not loud. It was comfortable, modern and very nicely designed. Not the cheapest but a decent selection of drinks.
S. K.
CitizenM is a chic, luxury, trendy hotel, as well as a instagramers paradise. The lobby is chocked full of interesting and designed objects of fascination. This makes the hotel unique in it's style and approach in London. The rooms follow suite with the lobby with the ability to change the colour of the lights using a supplied tablet. This place is place to come for non-travellers just to have an awesome slice of cake (my favourite is the Red Velvet, I wish they would bring back the scones) and coffee. There are tables to work on as a workspace, free wifi, and comfy throwback sofas area for something more relaxing.
K. H.
Great hotel with great amenities, control all aspects of your room via the iPad in your room - lighting, heating, entertainment. Recommended.
N. B.
Funky modern hotel, ideal location near Bankside. Cool bar and furnishings. The free snacks and drinks in the minifridge probably with an extra £10 in other hotels. If you like modern this hotel is for you
G. L.
Co working and great ales on tap. Can you find a better combination ? Very relaxed feeling even though it was super busy.
Would definitely use again.
S. D.
Great hotel, lovely lobby/hang out area. Rooms are small but have everything you need in a well designed space.
T. T.
A beautiful, and hip hotel to stay at in London. There are several locations to choose from. My office is across the street so Bankside was the ideal spot. A very trendy area too full of shops and places to eat.
I. R.
Simple clean funky hotel. Good location simple but value for money. Great concept free goodies in room and on demand TV all free.
J. C.
The lounge area is great for working (very fast internet connection) or relaxing. Cafe staff are very nice and helpful. Lounge is usually open every day until 11.30pm
J. C.
Really decent hotel. Underrated compared to some of the rip off rates in LDN.
G. B.
Clean hotel small but perfect for a night or two. Only negative is no hot drinks available in room. Mini bar is free though
A. H.
A great concept. Everything you need of a high standard bit without the unwanted frills. Great room and a good bar and breakfast. Will use citizen m again.
L. M.
This hotel gets 5 stars for a few reasons: amazing decor, clean rooms, cheap price compared to other hotels and most importantly...champagne on tap! It is very easy to get to, we used the london bridge or southwark tube stops. It is in a quiet area and you can walk to all the attractions. I would stay here every time I go to London.
E. L. C.
Day pass for business use only £15. Lovely space. Exactly what u need. Staff are great. I'll be back.
M. W.
Cute and modern hotel with large beds and a smart room! Great amenities and decent location, although the bed could stand to be more comfortable.
J. L.
Fab hotel. Modern and trendy but great awareness of customer service. Free snacks and juice in the mini "bar". No additional cost for any movies. Loved it.
K. K.
It is a very quirky and friendly hotel. Meeting rooms and service are amazing. Will go back next month. The location is not ideal for someone not knowing their way around London, but still fairly close from London Bridge, Southwark tube station and Blackfriars.
A. C.
Very comfortable and clean, very stylish and cool. you can have a very nice time with a cup of coffee and special drinks~ an enjoyable stay
G.
CitizenM has the most amazing team ever. Their service goes way beyond what you would expect from the hotel staff. So thanks for the wonderful birthday suprise, and what you did for the guest that have been here for the Adele concert that was cancelled.
L. C. (.
Excellent place to stay during a trip to London, is a short walk from The Shard and London Bridge tube/rail station.
The rooms are extremely cosy and well featured, you get a tablet to control your entire room - the mood lighting is a really nice idea.
There is no restaurant in the hotel only a 24x7 buffet which is ok but the hotel is surrounded by restaurants - there is a local one called the Refinary which is amazing.
You get free wifi and you are the checkin and checkout person, plus all the movies all free as well are local calls.
I would highly recommended saying in this hotel.
N. Q.
They made my birthday an amazing one. Thanks again.
T. T.
Very easy to find. Very modern looking rooms in excellent condition (iPad control for lights, blinds, temp & media). Lovely and helpful staff.
B. P.
Clean and very confortable hotel ! Amazing breakfast. The only negative point was the space between the door and the floor. The deco is very cool !
I. V.
Rooms have basic interior. Bar and lobbyroom are wonderful. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good location!
H. B.
This hotel provides an amazing experience in a location so central you'll be surprised just how close everything is. The staff are wonderful and the interior is stunning. I fully recommend
L. S.
One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Attention to detail is fantastic. The condition and presentation is top notch. Highly recommend!
M. W.
Practical, functional, clean, friendly, convenient ~ rooms just to small for our needs although beds good sized and compatible.
M. Z.
Stayed there after my first great stay at CitizenM London tower. I prefer the London Tower one as the room had a proper bathroom as well as the humongous reception with good vibe.
R.
Futuristic clean rooms and relaxed atmosphere in main area
S. C.
CitizenM is the geekiest hotel you can dream of, save maybe the Yotel in NY with their robot groom. You get a complete room automation system, which tlyou drive thanks to the provided iPad mini. More movies than you longest flight between EU and the silicon valley. All that with friendly staff and tasty food. Oh, I almost forgot the mini bar is *free* (as in "included").
J. T.
Nice upscale hotel with a very well stocked bar. Perfect for business meetings and after hours drinks. Has a smoking room
B. A. T.
love this hotel: great bar downstairs, the rooms were a wee bit bigger than the ones at schiphol, and it's right around the corner from the gate modern...will definitely stay here again
A. B.
Great hotel, well located, friendly staff, nice room, only thing that kept it from 5 stars was the bed was against a wall on 3 sides which made it difficult for my husband and I to get in and out of.
S. S.
Very nice hotel, very modern equipment (tablet to control everything in the room, quite big flat tv, free movies, free wifi), clean and at a good location. Definitely recommendable
T. S.
Great location, very cool decor in the lobby, good breakfast, rooms are efficiently designed with iPad based room controls. Not spacious, but hey - London.
A. S.
Small but beautiful rooms fully controlled by ipad minis and huge beds. Great vibe to this place and great staff - will be coming back soon!
S. H.
No rooftop splendour like Tower Hill, but still a great hotel with the smartest rooms you'll find, a free minibar of good stuff, and a real buzz in the lobby
P. C.
Very cool hotel concept; smart home systen, great mattress and good location. And the Old Fashioned coctails were made properly as well :)
A. C.
Citizen M is a very chic hotel and conference rooms in the heart of London. Great rooms, excellent service and quality food. Prefect location for visiting all of London's major attractions and the conference rooms are prefect for those central London meetings.
P. T.
Great Staff, trendy bar and lobby but cramped stuffy rooms with fiddly controls, ok for an overnight stay but Premier Inn Hub does it better.
F. A.
Great rooms with everything controlled by iPad (colours, music, TV, blinds....), Super large and comfortable bed, free minibar/on demand movies... Highly recommended.
M. W.
One of the best hotels I have seen, relaxed atmosphere, free welcome drink, huge and comfy beds, free movies and free goodies in the fridge.
S. I.
Food was great. Lovely place but bedroom was a bit small with an oversized bed which occupied half of the room.
D. B.
Concentrates on what you want, big bed, good shower and generous range of films and TV channels. Feels modern without being try-hard, really liked it.
Z. P.
Already a fan of Glasgow's Citizen M, I stayed at the London version the first chance I got. It has the same small Japanese style rooms with massive beds and colour-changing bathroom... and an extremely stylish lobby that's a designer's dream. In fact, the only real difference is that this one is not far from the Southbank as opposed to Glasgow city centre!
F. M.
Loved staying here. I wish my room at home was this cool. Everything controlled by iPad in a really innovative and well designed way. Loved it and would defo stay again.
R. C.
Great location 5 mins walk to Borough Market. Very modern rooms with iPad to control lights/blinds/TV. Great shower. Easy self checkin.
M. C.
Great place to meet people for drinks, relax after a night out in London. Rooms are nice, staff amazing, friendly and helpful. Good value for money
A. B.
One of the finest hotels I’ve seen in a long time. Great modern concept(the whole room can be controlled by an iPad, free movies).
T. H.
Very relaxing, the bartender Terry was really professional and patient to explain which drink we may love. Will definitely pop in again.
J. A. C.
Very kind staff, nice breakfast, modern room but small, iPad control lacks battery duration, good location and neighborhood
L. J.
Third citizen M hotel I've been to, and it's a nice one. Good location, nice atmosphere. Reliable and good service as usual!
L. P.
Gone are stuffy hotel lobbys and breakfast areas.
Citizen M are on pointe with their decor and making use of the limited space.
Staff are also keen to assist whether its checking in early or tourist guide.
As novelty, they also have games out (eg tricial pursuit, cards against humanityetc) to encourage people to play with family or friends.
Good work Citizen M
S. A.
Very nice place in a nice area...very quirky and hip..loved the techno of the room (everything controlled by iPad) comfy bed and free minibar..only downside? No Weekend discounts
G. d. K.
Great concept which delivers practical, affordable yet comfortable rooms on great locations. Amazing bar by comparable Hotel standards.
C. H.
I had a meeting there. The space feel nice for Co-working specially you do not need to pay but has to order food and drinks there.
S. M.
Had a nice stay friendly staff and good service. Rooms clean, well equipped and have mood lighting!
L. B.
I just love this hotel. Quirky but super lovely. Always stay here if I can when on business in London
김.
Nice location but small room and not good matress. It would be better body shampoo is added seperately.
N. B.
Fantastic place to stay, eat and work! Come here regularly for a coffee and to get my head down onto projects, good amount of food and drink just watch out for the price!
J. D.
Great stay, and love the microsuites. A little affected as far as it's trendy tone, but loved the versatile amenities and style of the place.
T. B.

A strange but great hotel. Loved the mood lighting in the room but thought it was a small room with the bed up against the window.

Awesome funky little meeting space near London Bridge station.
Usually quiet, free wifi and great coffee.
The pastries are always far too tempting.

Clean and tidy, but room was so tight and small. Tap and sinc are in corridor instead of be in bathroom. Strange

Great quirky hotel, check in and out via computer in under a minute, modern rooms all controlled by a iPad or buttons if you arn't into technology,I had a lovely cooked breakfast but continental option is also available, friendly helpful staff. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was the tv didn't work for most of our stay.would definitely stay at a citizen m hotel over any other when it is an option

Great concept hotel. Friendly staff. Fast speed internet. Breakfast was better at Paris Gare de Lyon though.

Great hotel, nice room, good location, lovely food, only thing that let it down was the lack of room service!

Rooms are okay but the tablet controls are just unusable. Turning the outer bathroom lights off requires a PhD in electrical engineering.
