Reviews of Festival Pier
I. P.I only visited it once, during the late afternoon/evening. It's a pier used as a gateway to party boats on the Thames. It is accessible, kept clean, with shade over your head and benches. It floats on the water. It is kept locked if not in use by the cruise/transit boats.
Not suitable for free access.
P. H. (. F.Lots going on here with party boats of all kinds and the best open top boats on the river which will get you from Central London the Tower and Greenwich. Take your oyster card or a travel card and it is cheaper than the River Bus and it has a more relaxing and chilled open air vibe.

V.Went with the family to the Lord Mayor firework show on the river with a glass of prosseco the boat didn't have enough seats for the large crowd of people on board we had to stand outside in the rain as there wasn't enough room inside and when the fireworks started we were on the wrong side of the bridge to c it all the fireworks very disappointed.
In saying that the river itself is beautiful by night got some great pics
L.TOP TIP: use your Oyster card And then sit out on the open deck of the boats
Festival Pier is fantastic. It is situated in front of the Royal Festival Hall and National Film Theatre...and just a few steps from the South Bank Centre.
From here you can take the boat to Westminster for Parliament and Big Ben or up to St Katherines Dock (also lovely) and by Tower Bridge.

F. C.I did a Thames Clean in the area it was very rewarding and was lucky enough to get approval from local ducks
s.You can get to Clippers boat from here towards East London, where Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf and Greenwich are.
C. L.This is a run down pier
S. S.One of the liveliest parts of the South Bank. The skateboard park is on the left and the restaurants on the right. A lot of festivals run around this area too. On a sunny day it is a great place to be.
