Popped down to Gold Bank today with some gold which had been sitting in a drawer for years. This was my second visit having previously visited about four years ago. Met with Tammy; very personable and lovely to deal with. She weighed and calculated, offering me a very good price for my unloved goodies and before I knew it, the money was in my bank account! I cannot fault the service I have received on both visits and have been truly staggered at the price offered on both occasions. Went in and saw Shannon, she was fantastic! I had a variety of carrots, from bracelets to necklaces to broaches some were broken others had stones, some were silver others were just costume jewellery. It was divided out, weighed and the price was written down on a piece of paper totalled at the bottom. She didn't force me to sell it. Allowed me to go away and think about it and when I returned later it was quick and easy. The instant transfer of money happed before i could blink and I got receipts. Very happy and shall be returning if I have any more to sell!

What can i say about Gold Bank ? In a word, Outstanding !!! Heard their adverts on radio & saw the tv ad so thought I'd give them a go. Plucked up courage to take some old gold in we'd had lying about in draws for years, which we were never going to wear. Met John the owner(nice fella) but was looked after by Shannon who was very professional in what she did !!! Everything was explained and any questions were answered directly. I'd read a lot of the reviews, & you do think that maybe some are made up. I thought that the value of what I'd taken in was going to be around the £300- £450 mark. My wife and I took some jewellery to The Gold Bank a few weeks ago. Some of it belonged to my late mum and so we were unsure of its worth. We didn’t know what to expect at all but we found Tammy’s friendliness and professional expertise exceptional. Tammy was so helpful, often testing individual items with their very expensive X Ray machine, which is the only one in Nottingham. She discovered that some of the gold, which we thought was 9 carat, was in fact 14, 18, or 22, and something which we thought was silver, was 9ct white gold. This obviously increased the money I received markedly. Unscrupulous individuals could have certainly decided to conveniently ignore this and simply confirmed items as 9ct. We cannot praise this firm enough. It was a truly memorable and unexpectedly happy experience with much more money being received than we expected. We will certainly use them again and recommend them without reservation.

John could not have been more obliging. He paid me a very fair price for a 9ct gold ring I wanted to scrap.(I had looked up that day's gold price and was expecting slightly less!) He tested several items for me using his state of the art XRF machine including some snake chains recently bought on ebay as solid 925 sterling silver which far from being 92.5% silver actually had 1.9% silver content!
