We came to Aberystwyth for a short break, and unfortunately I didn't have time to get to my usual barber before setting off. So I Googled local barbers near where we stayed, and chose Georges barber. He had excellent reviews, so I booked in with him, and he got me in the chair within hours. George was extremely friendly, and very knowledgeable. I couldn't believe how quick and precise he was. This is the best barber I may have ever been to. You walk in an instantly you can tell this place is different to the cut-after-cut places you see everywhere. This place has a character that comes off so genuinely from the owner that it makes the atmosphere intoxicating. For a great price not only did I get a great cut but I had a good time too. The best barber there is anywhere. The amount of exact detail he puts into a cut for £6 is more that you would get if you where paying 5 times the price. He is one of the nicest people you will ever meet, I will wait months for a hair cut it is that good.

I've been going to get my eyebrows threaded at George's Barber since September. I am always nervous finding a new place to get my eyebrows done but he was completely understanding and really friendly. George does my eyebrows perfectly, he is the only person who does eyebrow threading in the area, as far as I am aware (waxing just doesn't give them same finished look). Would definitely recommend!

what a great little place. I bring my Dad here for his haircuts and every so often, a wet shave. The end result is always great & the service friendly and happy. This is especially important to us because Dad has Dementia and he's never seemed uncomfortable here in George's hands. That's important when a stranger is wielding a cut-throat razor.

So I wanted a wet shave and after looking at reviews I went to this place. I was nervous at first but the guy who performed it was very friendly and got me to relax. He made sure that I got what I wanted. There was a slight problem with my skin as I had some spots. However he told me that he wouldn't cut so close to the skin because he didn't want me to bleed. This is a very good example of customer service. 5/5 would highly reccomend for anyone to go here for a wet shave both local and student. A fresh faced student.

First visit - A very pleasant experience, though my only comparisons with a Barber of George's skill and professionalism would have to go back to my late teens and twenties which is 50/60 years ago, which even then was hard to find outside of the Great Cities of the UK. An experienced BARBER who can style hair, beard, eyebrows together with 100% face hygiene (nose, ears, neck & wet shave on very sensitive skin, especially a 72-year-old without any razor burn) add to this a new experience "Threading". RESULT! And it was affordable. You may ask why not 5 stars well the only improvement would have been hot towels, though that may have irritated my ageing " turkey neck", who knows?
